The Funeral of Nakka Uchiha
Thu May 29, 2014 4:19 pm
Maku had made a funeral for Nakka Uchiha. It wasn't the glamouros affair that Yorice had recieved, but instead was much more subdued. Indeed the chief reason for this was the lies that stemmed form his death. A few had thought they saw Youka kill the boy, but no one had been certain, so rumors had been floating around for the past couple of days. In the office of the Yukigakure Leader, Maku sat and thought on the best way to handle such a situation. Sure, Youka had said let him take the blame and all that, but that wouldn't do. If they were to assist Echo, one of the chief trustees of the operation couldn't just have a reputation of mindless murder on him.
So after many beers, and many scratch pieces of paper later, Maku developed the lie that would be told. Nakka Uchiha had been a traitor. In his possession a Takigakure headband. This of course was Maku's last heirloom from his home, but parting with it had become necessary. Setting up the scene, and paying the right people to be rumor spreaders, pretty soon Maku was able to take the mob mentality and play it into his hands. It wasn't hard. People always want blood whether they know it or not. Maku played that from the head of Youka, to the village of takigakure.
In a singal political maneuver, Maku had made the village hate and want war with Takigakure. This played into Maku and Youka's own goals. All in all, it wasn't about who you know, but how you know them. Greasing the right wheels, and giving the subtle maneuvers to sway the mob in the direction you want them. After all, a sting from a single hornet won't do much damage, but an entire hive can kill even the greatest of beasts.
The funeral was of course closed casket, and once again another nameless cadaver was buried in the place of Nakka Uchiha, the real body safely in the private morgue that Maku used as his new base of MN planning. The days came and went, and slowly the name Nakka Uchiha just as the name Yorice Uchiha faded into history. Forgotten, their names not holding enough weight to be taken to seriously. However, their sacrifices would shake the foundation of the ninja world, in time.
