Water Training [solo]
Tue Jun 10, 2014 1:06 am
Angel woke up early. The sun had yet to come up. Angel decided today she would focus on learning how to control another element today. She got up and showered she loved the feel of the water on her skin. She smiled as it caressed her body. She allowed the water to clean every inch before going to work on her hair. It required a lot of work to keep a girls hair beautiful while living the life of a ninja. It also didn’t help that she wore a hood all the time. The shampoo in her hair smelled divine but she always held her eyes shut tight. She hated getting shampoo in her eyes. It hurt worse than bee stings. Though she didn’t know what Bee stings felt like. She heard that they hurt a lot. Bees had never bothered her before. Angel was from the Aburame clan they specialized in insect jutsu due to being introduced to a special insect known as the Kekaichu when they were very young. The kekaichu lived with their host for the rest of their life. The kekaichu didn’t live very long only a few hours but they were constantly being replenished in the bodies of their host. The insects mainly stayed in here body when she took showers. Like most bugs they didn’t like the water. But Angel was trying to train them to be resistant to all forms of damage of element. And she felt an affinity for water. She loved to feel the rain on her skin. She loved how it smelled and tasted and the earth drank the water becoming full of life. Yes today was her day. Stepping out of the shower Angel toweled off. She would have to visit her mother before she went out training today. Returning to her room Angel pulled on her underwear and then her basic ninja clothes that she wore every day. She had 12 pairs of the same tunic and pants. She didn’t know why. She always wore a coat that cover it all anyway. She could go out without wearing clothes under her coat and the coat would hide everything. Angel felt her cheeks getting red. The girls from the village had a bad effect on her. But she needed to get ready and stop thinking about these things. Her cheeks got red again. Pulling on her coat she tied the village headband on around her neck. Kissing the trinket she said a quiet prayer to a long lost man who meant quite a lot to her even though she had never met him before. She had been too young to remember the man. But her mother did and her mother insisted that she never forget. She even made sure that she was always wearing the trinket. Every time she visited her mother in the hospital her mother asked to see the small ring hanging on a necklace around her neck. Angel did up her coat and put her hood up. Looking in the mirror she made sure that the hood covered her face and that her hair wasn’t sticking out weird. If it hadn’t been for Aburame tradition she wouldn’t be wearing this coat. She would wear colorful dresses or cute little shorts. She tried to follow the teachings of her clan but they didn’t seem to like her desire to practice the art of puppetry. Maybe the old ways weren’t so set in stone Angel thought. Leaving the house angel made sure to lock up after her. She headed toward the hospital walking along the rooftops and telephone wires as if it were the normal sidewalk. When she got to the hospital she checked in. The Kumo hospital was actually one of the most secure places in the village. Security was very tight. Even though her mother wasn’t a powerful ninja many of the shinobi of the village were treated her. Because of this the security was quite tight. After checking in angel headed to her mother’s room. When she arrived her mother was sleeping. Angel sat with her for about an hour before she woke up. Her mother was very slight just like Angel. Short and thin. In the hospital bed she didn’t wear the garb or eye coverings of the clan she looked like a normal woman. Then again she was a normal woman ever since she rejected the insect host she had held her whole life she had said it was so that she could raise Angel without the need to worry about her host as well. After telling her mother she loved her and showing her the trinket Angel left the hospital to do real training.
In the mountains there was a secret hot spring. No one but Angel knew about. Her insects had found it when angel had spent a little too long in the cold of the mountain. Accelerating into the mountain she headed toward the spring. When Angel arrived she looked around and affirmed she was a lone. Angel removed her coat and set it next to the spring. She then removed her tunic. She wrapped her breasts to keep them out of the way. Stepping out onto the water she used the water walking technique to stand on the warm water. She slowly walked to the center of the pool. She could feel the earth all around her. She was familiar with the earth it had held her tight her whole life. The water was what she was trying to focus on today. Standing on the pool she focused on her feet trying to feel the rhythm of the ripples in the pool. Something. The water rippled from her step ricocheting off the edge of the spring and returning to her. Understanding an element came down to understanding its properties. Earth was firm unyielding strength and power. Water was something completely different. Angel sat there focusing on the water’s surface trying to glean some wisdom from its depth. She continued to watch the ripple bounce of the edge of the pool. The waves obscuring her reflection. The water, it was a reflection. When she was still the water was still when she was in turmoil the water’s surface roiled. Right now Angel was in turmoil her mother was in pain every day without her host of kekai that she had lived with her entire life her mother was in bad shape. The waters rose and broke on each other as Angel’s chakra churned the pool. The water lapped up at her feet with pangs of feeling the water finally had a feeling not just wet or cold but a feeling in her chakra. She could sense the water. Angel pushed everything out. The Aburame could completely mask their emotions and even disperse them into their bugs becoming objective and cal. And as Angel became calm so did the surface of the water. So much so that the surface became a perfect mirror. The mirror not showing Angel what she is but what she may become. The water became a divining substance allowing her to understand the things in her life and to see the possibilities that she could not see with the turmoil. She understood that her mother would not last long. But that was the circle of life. She saw herself become a mighty ninja in the future but darkness clouded her face. The surface exploded sending her flying onto the shore. The sharp rocks cut through her pant and bit into her leg. The kekaichu stopped the bleeding quickly. What had that been? Angel had seen her face in the pool but the face was older and scared by battle and…there was something else. The look in her own eyes was…She had enjoyed the feeling of power. Was she actually evil in the future? Once she had treated her wounds she returned to the pool this time instead of gazing deep into the pool she sat on the surface. By this time she was sweating a lot from the heat of the hot spring but she ignored the feeling and all feelings for that matter. She sat on the surface of the water and completely let her mind go blank. Instead of looking outward for knowledge she turned her chakra inward. Globules of water floated around her as she sat with her eyes closed peering into wisdom itself. What she had seen earlier was only a possible future. One where she had made a decision to follow a darker path. All she had to do was reject that path. To live for the Light and she would be able to completely eradicate the possibility of her becoming the girl in the mirror. Angel opened her eyes. Now it was time to learn how to use the water in combat. She used the principles she had figured out to make the water rough and angry but at the same time she became still turning the water sharp and deadly. Drawing her chakra inward she focused it through her feet and pulled the water into a bowl around her. She decided to see where her chakra level would take her. Pouring her chakra into the water she lifted the entire pool out of its bed. She didn’t realize she had so much chakra. With her bugs feasting on her chakra all the time they naturally increased her pool to something unimaginable. The water rose still with her standing on top of it. She drew the water up and gave it form. Rotating slowly at first and then quicker angel pulled the water into a perfect sphere around her. She smiled reaching out and touching one of the walls. She calmed her mind again and the sphere became smooth and even hardened slightly if that was possible. Touching the sphere with a finger she forced a burst of chakra out the sphere wall. Instead of destroying the sphere as she feared it instead formed a spike that shot out then quickly retracted as if it wasn’t there at all. She smiled that was an interesting little ability. She did it some more then placed her hand flat on the sphere. Channeling chakra into it equally the surface roiled before spikes shot out suddenly over the entire surface of the water. It then returned how it was before. Angel was happy. The techniques would need refining but Angel was confident now in two elements. What if she was able to combine the elements of earth and water? Her jutsu would become very powerful in deed. Angel let the water crash around her falling back into the pool a few feet below her. She dropped herself breaking the surface. Her clothes had already been wet. So she just rested in the pool the sun was going down she would have to return soon. She didn’t know how she was going to travel back down the cold mountain in the soaking clothes she was in she would have to run really fast. Angel took all of her clothes off and put on her coat. She had thought this morning it would be a bad idea to wear only her coat. As she ran down the mountain in only her coat carrying the clothes that were all wet she realized that it wasn’t such a good idea after all. Angel made it back to her house without incident. But she knew her face was bright red. She was so embarrassed her landlord had seen her come back holding her clothes that were all wet. Angel just wanted to curl up and fall asleep for 20 years. The memory of the pool suddenly jumped into her mind. 20 years would come too soon. She didn’t need to hasten them. She decided she would work even harder to become strong enough to not rely on the darkness. She would be a force for light and that force would wield the power and grace of the element of water. That was her promise.
