Aneya went back to eating. The food was good but she was still uneasy about the crazy dude who could kill her at any second and do it with a smile on his face. Aneya didn’t know if she could trust him but she also knew that he was the best bet she had at making some kind of living other than just stealing all the time. She was hoping to get a job and maybe even become a ninja like the others she had met along the way. And she said met as in stole from and kept going. But they all had some sort of aura to them, something that made them strong. And Aneya wanted what they had.
Her life had pretty much been isolated from others. Even though she was around people a lot she could only survive by separating herself from them and being invisible to them. Companionship or any kind of relationship…it just made no sense to Aneya. She never stayed in the same place for long. If she did the authorities or even worse the people she stole from would get wise and try to stop her. She had always been ahead of the game and that meant she didn’t make attachments. But if she was able to train and become stronger she wouldn’t need to steal, which would mean she wouldn’t always have to run. But that didn’t mean she wanted any kind of friendship. She didn’t even know what friends were. There were Marks and there were assets.
Kuro suggested she try her “trick” again but forcing more power into it, whatever that meant. Aneya never thought of it as a trick, well she guessed it was a trick but it wasn’t really something she had ever thought about. She did it as a distraction to snag some money or even as a road side show. That didn’t bring in as much money though. For some reason people only tend to give beggars the lowest possible amount they can without looking like an ass for tipping someone with 1 ryo. But Aneya didn’t mind trying to show off for this guy. Placing the spoon back on the counter this time she placed both hands on the counter one on either side of the spoon. This time Aneya would try to pour whatever power it was he was trying to get her to use into the counter. At first she was just pushing on the countertop with all of her strength. She didn’t know how but she thought of this power she had coming from the center of her chest. As she breathed she would imagine the power flowing through the spoon. The spoon lifted again this time though rising a couple feet off the counter. Then something new occurred. The spoon began to spin. It spun faster and faster and Aneya panicked. She didn’t know what she was doing. She let go of the bar and the spoon flew over and shattered the mirror behind the bar. The spoon ended sticking into the wall behind the mirror.
“I didn’t mean that, I’m sorry it just kind of happened. I don’t know what I did.” Aneya stammered out. She was afraid she had just blown it with getting him to teach her. An untrained pupil who can’t control herself was a risk. Aneya didn’t bother cleaning up she was pretty sure after today she wouldn’t come back here anyway so she didn’t really care what Vinnie thought.

The sensation was a rush. How had she even been able to do that? It made no sense. Why did it spin like it did? The speed of the rotation was faster than anything she had ever seen. Nothing made any sense. This power was new to her. Being good at anything worthwhile made her confident in herself. She looked down at her hands. Now if only she could figure out how she did it so she could do it regularly. And hopefully not screw up at the end. But the process was very weird. Aneyea wanted to learn how to control this ability. Since she was a kid she had always been under someone or something’s boot. Always pushing her hardest just to survive. She was sick of it. Sick of the pain, sick of the loneliness, sick of the helpless ness. If the man still was sensing her chakra he would see it spike as her determination reached it’s peak. No longer would she just sit by and allow those above her to keep her down. Even this man with enormous power would only be a stepping stone to her true potential. Aneya would refuse to be at the bottom of this barrel of puke she called a life. It was her turn. Her Chakra would have a dark tint as all Aneya had ever known was evil. She was trading fear and hopelessness with Anger and rage and selfishness.
The man spoke to her saying that he liked what he saw and that he could find a good teacher. Then he said that he would be able to teach her to be like a God. Seemed he had some Mind reading powers. But it meant nothing. He had said some very specific thing to her about training very specific abilities. Though she had no clue how any of this worked she didn’t care. She would become strong. Stonger than the old man that had taken her in. stronger than the slavers who had abused her. Stronger than the police and people who looked down on her. She now had her Nindo. From this day on that was her goal.
Her aura was that of a fighting dreamer who knew the destination but not the path. But it didn’t matter what steps she had to take, for the cause will justify the means. Kuro suggested a change in scenery and that she should grab whatever metal she had. She guessed the guy was going to teach her something. Aneya grabbed the tub of silverware which seemed to be the only thing metal around. The man seemed to ponder for a moment before asking if she knew anywhere private. To tell the truth she normally kept tabs on the busiest places. That’s how she earned her keep. However knowing which alleys were vacant was also usefull information to a pick pocket. Looking down at the cup/tub full of silverware she thought that maybe an alley way wouldn’t work. She did spend a lot of time in the woods though. And this town was not different from the other ones. She always visited towns close to the woods. For the last year she had called the woods her home. And there is nothing more private than a random location in the middle of nowhere. “I mean I imagine we could just use the woods outside of town” Aneya was eager to start training, almost impatient. Today would change the rest of her life.
Aneya led them out of town and into the forest. The forest was full of very tall and very dense groves. Aneya was actually becoming a bit of a tracker in these woods. She learned how to track and hunt game as well as find water and other necessities in the woods. She was a forest elf of sorts living off the land. But that only went so far. Sleeping on the ground was annoying and pathetic after a while and the lack of a proper bath is what drove Aneya to stealing. Not just that but you know what I mean. Aneya would lead them through the woods to a clearing where they would be able to train. The clearing was about 50 meters across and only had a few pumpkin sized rocks that might get in the way. “Does this work?”

When Aneya was little she had been in an orphanage with many other mean kids. They would call her names because she always smiled. No matter what happened she would smile because that is what people had told her to do. She had quickly broke that habit because smiling while crying all the time got old. But she soon learned a new trick it was called a sneer. It was a smile that was meant to hurt people. She would do it all the time when she hurt the bullies that made fun of her. Aneya had a had childhood but that only meant she was stronger because of it. If it wasn’t for those stupid kids she would have never been able to last as a pickpocket and con artist. It had formed a sort of wall or barrier between her and emotions, which allowed her to wear emotions like a set of clothing. She would take off sadness and rage and put on innocence like a fresh pair of socks. And the best part was she never had to put on guilt. She could simply ignore the pain she caused others. But after everything was said and done she did what she must to keep going, because giving up was not an option for her. In her line of work giving up meant she would starve. The same is true for other occupations but hers was the bottom. You don’t go lower and find a job, you simply die. And there was now greater dishonor than dieing.
This thought made her smile as she held the spoon. She didn’t really know how to do this without a metal surface. That is what she did regularly, but there was no metal counter top here. But that didn’t mean she was allowed to give up. Setting the spoon on her hand she decided she would try to simply do the same thing she did as if it were on the metal surface. Focusing on the spoon it immediately fly off her hand and into the woods. Aneya just stared. “UH…” She finally decided to just leave the spoon and use a new one. What Aneya didn’t know was that when she did the trick using the metal counter top she had to electrically magnetize the entire counter, which took much more chakra than simply moving the spoon on its own. This is why the spinning was at such a high velocity as well as the speed of the spoon flying into the mirror back at the bar. But again Aneya didn’t know this. She had no idea what was happening as the second spoon flew into the woods. “RRRRRRRRrrrrrrrr!!” Aneya ground her teeth together, the act creating friction and triggering the lightning chakra inside her body. The entire tub flew in all directions away from her into the trees. “Figures……FUCK” Aneya stood and ran her hand through her hair and traced one of the strange cowlicks she had that stuck out on either side of her head looking like antennae. A spark jumped from her hair to her finger as it left the hair. “This is dumb I don’t know what I’m doing and the more worked up I get the weirder things happen.” To make her point a thread of lightning leapt out of her finger tip that was just shocked by her hair into a tree at the edge of the clearing….20 feet away. “That’s not natural. That’s not natural right. I’m doing what you tell me to, but nothing makes sense.” Looking down Aneya noticed a strange spiral of scared earth under her. “Great perfect, I’m a fuckin’ freak and now since I can’t control it I’ll probably walk around killing people,” she said taking note of the scorched tree. “I’m just gonna sit here.” Flopping down on the ground she crossed her arms and closed her eyes.
Now at this point she also had no idea that she had just burned through 19 years of pent up static energy. Her body was much like a capacitor. It gained constant charging from her lightning aligned chakra but until today it had never been released fully. The scorched tree was about all she would be able to do at this point until she was able to fully grasp the idea of chakra control. But now it was obvious to her that she was able to harness the abilities of the lightning, though she simply didn’t know how.
“I’m thirsty lets go find a creek.” Aneya knew of one nearby that had cool clean water, but what she didn’t know was that this is where she would have her second mishap. Walking to the nearby stream she knelt down to take a sip of the water and we all know what happens when water is near electricity. That’s right as she went to take a drink the water rose up and splashed her in the face. “Blah WHY!!!” Aneya threw her hands forward and a good chunk of the stream went with them. She turned to Kuro and looked at him with tearful eyes. “Why me?” She said sadly as the winds picked up and whipped her body across the river and into a tree. She crumpled to the ground unconscious the wind and water went back to normal.

She woke up that night. Her head was sore and she couldn’t really see anything. She seemed to be able to move just fine so she knew she wasn’t bound. But the space she was in was pitch black. She had no choice but to fall back asleep. The only thought that went through her head was wondering what had happened.
The sun woke her hours later. It came in the tiny crack under the door. Otherwise the room was well built and let in none of the outside elements. Aneya could now make out the shape of shuttered windows and a mass of something next to her. Opening the door to let in more light she found that she had been lying next to a pile of hard cash. There was so much Aneya had to wonder where it had come from. Grabbing a stack, Aneya went into town to buy some lunch. Going to a restaurant, (not Vinnie’s restaurant being it was closed due to damages.) Aneya purchased some pork slices. Not too long later while eating Aneya was interrupted by some very official looking men. Aneya hated cops. She snagged another piece of meat.
“You must come with us young lady you’re in a lot of trouble.” The very strapping pressed and polished man said.
Aneya popped another piece of pork into her mouth. “You’re not in trouble till you get caught.” She said it very unladylike through a mouthful of food and slobber. The police man took this opportunity to reach for Aneya. Surprising even herself she moved swiftly sliding farther into the booth and ate another piece of meat.
“Your under arrest for theft.” The policeman said reaching over to grab her. He grabbed her upper arm and she immediately responded. Rolling toward him sideways she ended up sitting on his back as her lay in the booth. Aneya’s power must have sky rocketed from the training she had done the day before. She ate another piece of meat.
“Common fellas you need an entire platoon to take in a simple pick pocket?”
“A pick pocket?” the lieutenant exclaimed as his commanding officer was currently trying to get out from under the girl sitting on his back. “Your no pick pocket 3 days ago you and your friend robbed a bank and made off with nearly 3 million Ryo."
Aneya mouthed the word 3 million in surprise. That must have been the money in the hut she woke up in. “Wait three days ago?” Yes Aneya has been unconscious for 3 days.
“Yeah and the evidence is being collected as we speak. You think you can set up shop a few minutes walk from the village and not have us find your hut? This is our village and we will defend it.” The lieutenant went to grab Aneya as well but She had heard all she needed to. Leaping high over the lieutenants head Aneya landed on one of the grunts heads and then used it as a spring board to leap out the door. She had gained impressive power but at the same time she now had an even bigger warrant of her head. She wouldn’t forget the man who had taught her what it meant to have power. The ryo in her pocket that she had taken from the stack would last her a while. But not nearly as long as three million would have.
Today:
Aneya had dozed off a bit. Her pork slices were now inedible. She wouldn’t buy anymore though. Even though she had some more money. The small packet of 1200 ryo still sat in her pocket. She had kept it all this time. She had kept it as a promise. She would give it back to the man who had given her her life as a ninja.
