Next level training [io nk training Alice]
Sat Jul 19, 2014 4:45 pm
Today’s training was going to be different. Angel had to learn the art of Medical ninja. As a Kunoichi it is customary to learn some healing arts but angel was going to focus on learning even more how to become an asset on the battlefield. As she had little strength or even much protection in this world of weapons and jutsu she was too much of a target on the front lines. So she devoted herself to learning a specialization in the field of medical Ninjutsu. But to do that is meant she had to spend a long time in the hospital training. She didn’t particularly like the hospital. Spending many nights and days there already before her mother died she was already tired of it. But now the Her mother was gone all the hospital reminded her of was pain and suffering, not healing. But angel would have to deal with that fact and live with the events of the past.
Angel Walked into the hospital and greeted the doctors and even some of the patients who were regulars that she had gotten used to seeing on her trips here. She said hello to the Flower girl who she had bought many of her mother’s favorite flowers from. The tulips that her mother liked were a symbol of eternal love. They represented the love she had for her mother and that her mother had for her and her father. In the 13 years since Her father had vanished her mother had never once taken another suitor or even dated. Everyone knew that she was a married woman at heart. As she walked passed the Administration desk one of the doctors called her over. “I haven’t seen you since the funeral… How are you doing?” the doctor looked sincere. Angel wouldn’t doubt that he was. Everyone in the village treated each other like family regardless. “I know it’s hard but I do have your mothers effects.” The doctor retreated for several minutes, leaving Angel to think about her mother. She had been in the hospital in very good hands for a long time. The look on her face said she had died peacefully without pain. Angel, even though she missed her mother, was not saddened by her passing anymore. It truly had been her time. Though she could have lived longer had she had made different decisions earlier. Her mother’s decision to reject her parasitic insects had caused her body to slowly shut down. It was a selfish thing to do but she had done it for Angel. But Her time of Mourning was over. She was here to learn medical jutsu. The Doctor returned with her mother’s effects and gave them to Angel. “I hope you can find peace.” Though what the doctor said was probably said to many families and people, it looked to Angel that he still meant them anyway. The sentiment did help her a little so she thanked him and asked directions to the training rooms. The Doctor looked surprised for a moment then he had a look of understanding. “Yes the training rooms are right down the east wing. When you get to the end by the radiology department, head left and straight down there will be a desk that you can sign up for lessons.” Thanking him angel started down to that section of the building. The walk to the radiology department was a long one. Turns out she had started in the west wing of the hospital instead of in the Center. But it didn’t much matter to Angel. Finally she arrived at the desk she was supposed to be at. Signing up for the course the receptionist thanked her. The classes were scheduled to start the next day so angel had time to prepare. The girl who worked there suggested getting well rested and eating good solid meals to keep her energy up. The first several days was going to be tough.
Angel went home and prepared herself a meal and then remembered her mother’s things. Taking the bag Angel opened it and tried not to smell the scent that was left on all her mother’s things. She needed to keep a level head so she could get plenty of sleep. Something in the bag caught her eye. It was her mother’s wedding band. Her mother’s ring was a simple silver band with a small stone in laid into the band. The stone was reddish, but what caught angel’s eye was a peculiar twist in the band. It was Identical to the was the ring the traveler had given her was twisted. Angel looked down to the ring on her finger. It looked as if they were crafted by the same person. Angel guessed that this was all the evidence she needed. He father must have been the man that her mother had told her was just a traveler. Angel still couldn’t figure out why her mother would lie about that though. Angel didn’t have time to think about it now. putting both rings on a chain she hung them around her neck. She was pretty sure she couldn’t wear them in class.
The next day Angel arrived early to her class. Angel liked being on time to everything. It made her a good student. Sitting in her chair she waited. It looked like she was the only one showing up for class. The instructor came out and Angel was surprised to see that it was Alice. Alice showed her into the back room. “Do you normally have a small class?” Angel inquired surprised when the instructor responded. “I normally don’t teach the class. Recently there has been a reduction in students coming to learn medical Ninjutsu from me. Less and less ninja want to know the healing powers of medicine and want to go out and learn how to breath fire or swing a sword around. Few people appreciate the oldest Ninjutsu art.” Alice was a little over the top but that is what angel needed to learn to be the best.
The first lesson was to learn the basic chakra control that was used in medical jutsu. Alice described the form as a billion tiny sewing needles made of water. The needles would sew the damaged cells and heal with the touch of fluid like chakra. To do most medical jutsu the chakra was flowed to the hands and then projected around the hands in a force field like manner. Then the chakra is pushed into the body that way. Angel spent a few days trying to get this form down. She had learned so much about form and nature manipulation that everything tended to run together. But regardless of what her instructor said she never gave up. For her mother’s sake. For the sake of her friends and relatives and every ninja and civilian in the village. She wouldn’t give up because if she did she would be giving up on them. After three days she was able to mold the chakra into the proper shape and form correctly. The next part wouldn’t be so easy. The next thing she needed to know was biology. Not simple or basic biology…advanced biology. In a complex system that is a living thing, every little thing had a major impact on the body. She had to learn about the advanced processes of cell growth and mitosis. Obviously that would be important when healing torn tissue or internal damage. She studied the human body as well as the body and processes that occurred in the bodies of many different animals. Being she was going to be practicing on animals first it was a needed skill. Unfortunately the entire process of simply learning everything took weeks. Angel was a swift learner when it came to book work but the sheer amount of knowledge she had to take in was staggering. Her teacher helped her along to understand many of the processes and things but in the end it was simply a personal task that she had to go through. Angel would come in every day and start her research in the library. Her teacher held an office there in the hospitals library and she conducted her own business while she worked. Angel found that the library of the hospital held so much knowledge and yet there was a whole other library down the street with even more information. As she read book after book her thirst only grew. Knowledge, information, hints, clues, intelligence from around the world, and even village secrets (the nonharmful ones at least) all this information was at her fingertips. Angel loved it. She had a hard time focusing only on Medicine when there was so much but after many weeks she had enough information to attempt the first exam.
The exam was just tons of medical questions. It was something that a med nin would need to have at their fingertips at all times. It covered bodily functions, body chemistry, poisons, diagnostic questioning and a lot more. The exam itself took 6 hours to complete. And Angel had to score 80 percent or higher to move to the next stage. Angel was ready as she would ever be. The test began and Angel filled out the multiple choice section quickly. With angel’s memory and attention to detail along with simple deductive reasoning she finished with lots of extra time. Which was good because she would need it on the other portions of the test. Though Angel was good at multiple choice questions the written portion was what always gave her trouble. Several of the questions were on diagnosing illness or bodily malfunctions of varying degree. She was confident on most of these. Finally she had to do the Essay portion. The Essay question was a randomly chosen ailment or disease or problem that was rare. Angel had to write a paper on all aspects of the randomly chosen topic. It was what Angel had feared the most since the beginning of the test. Finishing everything else Angel turned to that section with 2 hours still on the clock. Angel read the topic and she was surprised. It was Host rejection of its own body. Most common in patients whos body undergoes radical change and the enzimes and chakra no longer recognize the body, so it attacks itself. It was actually the topic angel knew the most about because it was what had shut her mother’s system down. When her mother rejected the insects that had been in her body since she was a child her body had rebelled causing troubles. Angel also knew how it was treated being very active with the doctors to find out how they were helping her mother. In the end she was able to write a vastly detailed paper on the topic. She then had 1 week off while her teacher looked over her exam. 6 days later she was summoned back to the Hospital. She had passed her exam with flying colors and it was now time to get into the actual practice of medical jutsu. She worked tirelessly for weeks more learning different techniques. She started with resuscitating fish because they were very simple creatures and they were also abundant. Angel practiced on fish and then moved up to working with birds and other mammals. Finally after many weeks training Angel began to help around the hospital on healing first basic than more complex issues. Soon she was given her graduation papers and was able to leave the hospital. She had finished the program and she was now a medically specialized ninja that could assist on missions in that category. She didn’t have time to celebrate though she now had to complete even more training. Her next job was to fully study the human body to be able to develop even more powerful medical jutsu to be used to save people’s lives. What she knew now just simply wasn’t enough. Her next goal was to read up even more into the human body. It was hard to think there was more to know but she somehow felt that she had only scratched the surface of the usefulness of this jutsu.

(yea that was fine with meee)
Alice had dreaded teaching the medical ninjustu class at the hospital. She believed it to be a complete waste of her time and energy, as she was just teaching the basics of the human body, grading tests, and then watching people resurrect dead fish for weeks, it was a living hell. She wasn't usually the teacher for the class, but the guy who usually did it was out on vacation and Alice, being one of the only other medical jounin in the village, was the next best thing, so the village assigned her to teach it and did not give her a chance to say no, leaving Alice to be stuck in the hospital for who knows how long, watching people try to bring back dead fish, there was no punishment Alice thought that could be worse on this planet for her, and questioned if she had died and gone to hell.
Alice had expected a small class, but not as small as her roster was, she only had one freaking student. It was true that most ninja in the village chose to focus more on offensive ninja professions such as ninjustu, taijustu, kenjustu, etc, but she had expected as least a few more people that what she got, medical ninjustu might be boring to learn, but medical ninja are always needed in a village and in wars to save lives and keep the village ninja lasting. Alice sighed and shrugged, oh well, less work for her. The one student she had however, would be very interesting as Alice had met the young girl before when she was a genin and sparred with her in the mountains, she remembered how angry the girl had gotten with her in their fight, and wondered if she still harbored that anger, though they had not seen each other in quite some time as according to the roster the girl was now jounin rank, so maybe the girl had gotten over it and moved on with her life. Angel came early, earlier than Alice did and she was supposed to be teaching the class. They talked shortly but then got right into the class, it seemed the girl was very focused on learning the arts of ijustu. Angel seemed much more confident and braver than when they had first met, mostly because she actually talked to Alice this time, instead of Alice having to force words to come out of her mouth, perhaps the girl had matured faster than Alice had expected. Alice lectured for a few days on basic form then let the girl have at it, getting the chakra control took usually a week for most, Alice remembered it taking her a day, but that had only been because she was already very familiar with precise chakra control, having learned about tenketsu and the gentle fist techniques at a young age from her aunt, as the hyuuga prided themselves on proper chakra control and form in all that they did whether in taijustu or in any other ninja profession. Alice was surprised when Angel mastered it in three days. Now Alice had to teach her all the book shit about biology and the animal and human body, it was a rough to get all the information down and memorized as there were various organs to learn the functions of, and symptoms of problems with such an organ, she also had to talk about cell structure and the complexity of the cell structure in a human body compared to that of an animal, as well as the ways a medical ninja could disrupt that function in battle, or help that function in healing, though now Alice all this medical information for granted as second nature to her. She allowed Angel to research the books in the library, while she stayed in the small office the hospital had provided her, usually she slept or smoked a cigarette while leaning on the window in her office, waiting to see if Angel had any questions or needed help understanding something, occasionally the hospital would ask for her assistance with fighting injuries, or stabbings, as she was a battle medic and was used to treated wounds inflicted by other humans that were meant to kill. Though while she worked in the hospital she still never changed her unusual style of dress or how she talked, causing some patents and staff to believe she would be more at home in the hospital psychiatry wing, instead of helping in the medical wing.
After a couple weeks of Angel studying she told Alice she was ready for the test. The test was a standardized one that was given out in all the hospitals in kumo for ijustu classes. Angel finished rather quickly, well quickly for the test as it sometimes took people all day to finish it. Alice corrected all the questions, then read like half the essay before getting tired and just giving the girl an A, so Alice could have a week off to sleep and not do work. After the week she summoned Angel and told her she passed, and that she would now begin actually starting to practice ijustu. It was the basic step by step program for healing, injured rabbit leg, dead fish, other animals, etc, until the girl could move on to humans. Angel did well and was soon able to help around the hospital, taking over some of Alice's patients so Alice could nap and not do work. Eventually Angel was ready to leave the hospital and Alice handed her the graduation papers that would certify her as a medical ninja. "Congrats now get to touch sick people and say your a medical ninja like the rest of us." She told Angel as she handed the girl the papers. Alice was happy for the girl, but even more happy that she would not have to come and work at the hospital anymore, and could go back to being a lazy piece and doing what she wanted.

Re: Next level training [io nk training Alice]

Alice had helped her tremendously on her efforts to master medical jutsus. But Angel still didn’t feel complete. She felt like she could be so much more. She requested that Alice accompany her to the mountains to help her train some more. This time Angel would complete the trifecta of elemental natures that she was working toward. She would try her affinity with the wind nature. Alice Had offered to help her study it. Once they arrived in the mountains Angel led Alice to her secret training grotto near Yaju’s house. This is where Angel had practiced many jutsu and trained her ninja skills. Angel asked Alice for any instructions while she worked. Alice seemed quite knowledgeable about the Chakra natures and assisted her in discovering the basic’s about the Wind chakra.
Wind is possibly the most useful element as it was derived and formed from the very air. The air was always available and the slightest stirrings in air currents could be made lethal through the use of wind chakra. Angel followed Alice to form the chakra in her lungs. Each chakra had a different way to form it. Earth came naturally as it had been formed by forcing chakra into the muscles and condensing the chakra into solid mass. The Water chakra is chewed and mixed and diluted into a liquid state. This Chakra is formed by spinning it in the lungs much like cotton candy. It can then be used for so many uses. Such as creating the thinnest sharpest blade imaginable or creating gale force winds or even creating force fields. The possibilities were only limited to the mind and Angel really had no limit to her imagination. But she had to master the Chakra nature before she could go developing and learning her own new and improved jutsus. Angel looked around the Cavern. The Cavern was lit by the many lights angel had put all over the cavern and protected from harm because let’s face it this was a training dojo. Half of the cavern was a lake filled with pure mountain water. The other half was set up as a training grounds with a sparring ring and stone training dummies for practicing Taijutsu. There was a trench dug into the stone floor one foot wide and one foot deep that ran around the whole training field that allowed access to the lakes water supply from any side of the training grounds. Angel had made this addition when she had learned to wield the water element. It helped her practice the water jutsu. But today she would ignore it and focus on the element that filled more than half of the chamber. The air filled her breath as she focused it down into her lungs. Spinning the air in tiny balls in her lungs she would add her chakra to it. But for some reason it didn’t work Angel could not create the wind chakra.
Angel didn’t get it. She knew it was going to be complicated. Water had not come easily to her at all. But she got not even the slightest hint of wind chakra. Angel hadn’t been this totally bad at something since she had been 9 and they had been required to play sports in gym class. At the time she had been utter rubbish. She couldn’t run couldn’t hit couldn’t kick. Looking back she saw that all these games had been preparation for learning Taijutsu style techniques. Angel was bad at Taijutsu but luckily the things her master had taught her had been very helpful in her taijutsu training. But that wasn’t the point. Her inability to do something like gym class games was only a brief setback. Eventually she had buckled down and gotten stronger and faster. So this training would be like that. “I need some air.” Angel would say gesturing that she was going to head outside. Once outside she would look out over the valley. It truly was a sight to see. The sun was beginning to lower and the light in the village began to blink on. Angel would pause in her training just to look out over the village and admire the sunset and the flickering lights. Peace truly was the best sensation. The moment had passed however and Angel got back to work. She figured that maybe she just hadn’t been dealiong with enough open air. The cool breeze coming off the mountain felt good and it was that breeze that Angel would attempt to shape her chakra with. Drawing in a deep breath Angel raised both hand palm up to chin level drawing in a massive breath. Mixing the chakra in her lungs over and over Angel focused her chakra. Turning her palms face down and lowering them down to her stomach Angel blew out the breath and the rotating chakra filled air came out in a small rotating tornado. It dissipated a moment later but Angel didn’t care because it was a sign that she had successfully formed the wind style chakra. She had just need to tap into a larger amount of wind than what she had access to in the cavern. The rest of her training would revolve around refining and reducing and compacting the massive concept of the air into the subtle currents and dervishes. Eventually she wanted to be able to hone her chakra to sharpen the blade of a weapon or to give her speed to run like the wind. Angel shook her head at the bad joke. She had to focus up and get back down to work. She would listen to any more good advice that Alice would have and she kept working. Angel focused next on creating small sustained tornados. Blowing the chakra filled air out this time, focusing the air and attempting to create a tornado this time angel was able to have it stay spinning for a while after she finished applying more chakra. It was a good sign. It meant that she was improving. And that was all she needed.
Angel was exhausted so she took a break and sat under a rock formation and gazed out, off the mountain. The valley below seemed like it was locked in time and that nothing was able to touch it. Hopefully that was the case with her father. Somewhere he was protected. Angel drifted asleep and dreamt of the possible future.
Angel awoke and the Sky was filled with smoke. Angel didn’t understand. What could possibly have done this much destruction to put so much soot in the air? Looking down on the valley again as far as she could see the land was burning. A great war ravaged the lands. She could hear screams of pain and death difting on the wind. What was going on? Angel called out to Alice but received no answer. Angel stood up from where she had fallen asleep and wondered back into the cave not knowing what was happening. She soon found herself standing in front of the charred remains of Master Yaju’s house. It wasn’t smoking nor was it even hot. Angel guessed it had burnt down a longs time ago, more than just a few days. This made no sense. Angel walked down the mountain rushing to the village. Destruction was the only constant that she saw. Upon reaching the village one of the village ninja who was on patrol stopped her. He was a little older than her but his eyes held the hardness of a man who knew battle. He was a Hyuuga she could tell. Strange she didn’t recognize him. She knew everyone in the village. “That’s a terrible disguise.” He said. Suddenly he attacked her knocking her down with several well placed gentle fist strikes. Angel stayed barely conscious as she was dragged into a nearby house and into the basement. Her vision cleared somewhat and she could see a massive underground room. It looked as if Kumo had moved underground. What? Angel’s vision got fuzzy just before a bucket of water was thrown in her face. “Wake up spy. Did Denkiteki send You?” Angel had never heard that name before. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Angel muttered. “Get the interrogation squad ready.” The figure in front of her yelled. “Alright little Mrs. Puppets you want to continue to claim innocence? Then tell us where your father is.”
This was too confusing her head started to hurt. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Angel was getting groggy.
“I knew it.” The figure leaned in close to Angel and Angel was able to identify the speaker at last. And who she saw utterly terrified her. Her interrogator was the Raikage herself. “You seem to be out of it a little so I’m gonna spell this out for you.” Lady Misaki cracked her knuckles. “The League of Rogue Ninja have amassed a killing force of over 200,000 ninja. They have gone the world over slaughtering entire nations. You and your father were our best chance of gaining ground in this war, then you suddenly up and disappear.” Angel stared at her blankly. “That damn Time Wizard, You don’t know anything do you? He must have wiped your memory to keep us from finding him. He probably reverted your body backward through time which is also why you look younger and don’t have any of the scars.” The Kage turned away and stood there for a moment. “Damn. Here I thought we had found something important. Look we’re gonna let you go but you have to do something. The fate of the world depends on it.”
“What?”
“Find your father.”
Angel woke with a start and sat up quickly smashing her head on the rocks above her. “Owwww” Angel grabbed her head. The pain seemed familiar. Similar to what she felt in her dream. But that didn’t make sense she shouldn’t feel pain in a dream. Also the dreams felt way too real. Misaki-sama had said something about time travel but that made no sense to Angel. Alice looked at Angel as if she was some demented kid after the stunt she pulled hitting her head. Angel rubbed her head but got back to work. “the next thing that you have to do is learn to use the wind chakra. The best way to do that is to try and cut leaves in half using your chakra only. Normally this would take a long time to learn but you have already mastered other elemental natures so it should come easier to you. However we have to go where there are trees to get leaves.” Angel nodded agreement with Alice and they bother set off for a little lower on the mountain where they would be able to find trees. As they hiked down to the grove Angel pondered what the dream could have meant. I definitely was in the future being the Raikage and she was there and the world was burning. The Raikage had said she had scars and that they had found her father. Well at least for a little while. Then her father had run off. It sounded like Her dad was on the good side but why hadn’t he stayed to help. There was another name in her dream too. Denkiteki. She had never heard the name before so why was it in her dream. Angel would have to ask the Raikage about the name. Angel followed Alice into the grove. Alice demonstrated the cutting a leaf in half pretty easily. Angel would have to work at this a while she guessed to get it done but Alice told her that this should be the last step in mastering the wind nature chakra. Angel spent all day working on the training but she couldn’t help thinking about her dream…What if it hadn’t been a dream but a premonition. Angel felt the leaf in her hand sever and she looked at it. She had done it.
