Another one bites the dust...

She didn't have anyone here with the exception of one man who she had been avoiding like the plague. A cloak covered her frame as she strolled outta the village leaving the headband behind. When she got to the gates the jounin there stopped her and asked her questions about who she was and why she was leaving. Satsuki lied like her life depended on it and since she really didn't have much identification in the first place she was valid and let go with much more ease than she thought. She didn't know where she was going but for a long time she felt as if she was in this village just going through the motions. It was time to start a new life without any ties to any one village or place, it was time to just make herself strong and able, alone...

Or perhaps not. Kozai just so happened to be guarding the gates. As the girl approached them, he focused in on her, expecting her chakra to be on par with normal civilians. But no... her chakra was like that of a shinobi, no less. So, one of Iwa's own just expected to walk out and leave? Not likely.
Kozai had wanted to leave the village before, feeling the stagnation and the boredom. But he now had a laboratory to maintain, and besides, one never knew when people might want to become interesting. So, from his safe location behind a building, Kozai would move out, and block the girl's path before she could speak to the somewhat gullible jonin guard.

"Where do you think you're going, miss?" He would say, putting on an obviously false smile. He was standing in the way of the gate, keeping her inside the village; about 10 meters away from her. Truly, Kozai didn't want to kill her, but if he had to, he would. More importantly, he was interested in what kind of a clan she belonged to, if any. As he formed his hands into the tiger seal and kneaded his chakra, he pondered on the girl's power level as well. Finally, things could get really interesting!

If the girl chose not to respond, he would use Suiton: Suidanha to send a stream of water from his mouth directly at her neck at 80 speed and power. If it hit, it would puncture directly through, creating a nice large hole in her trachea and jugulars; which would kill her.

She was caught, of course things wouldn't be that easy. Sighing to herself she frowned, her options were limited in the face of this new situation and she could lie or be honest. Honestly was not an option in this case. She really didn't want to answer but because she didn't want direct conflict she just kept moving forward. " I'm going outside of the gates..." Her words were muffled because she had her head down and the hood of her cloak was covering her face.

Hmm... he could barely hear her words, but "outside".... for a ninja, that was more or less treason. He needed, also, to be sure that she had proper permission to leave, which, incidentally, she had not yet presented. Well then... he could handle this in two ways.

First, he could launch Suidanha now, and kill her. That would take care of this whole business and prevent him from continuing in this situation. In addition, it would also give him an extra corpse to work with, incidentally.

Secondly, he could very well draw it out... after all, he had no information or reason to kill her... yet. This seemed like the more logical (rather than visceral) course of action.

He was now about 8 meters away from her, the girl having moved closer. Kozai sighed slightly. This was not the day to deal with this. "You should present permission from the kage allowing you to leave... otherwise I will have to detain or kill you." He would speak, ensuring that he would be heard.

" I don't have permission..... " She was actually getting pretty annoyed because she knew she wouldn't be getting out of here alive. Even if she went inactive for months on end she would still be here, If she were a civilian they would let her go, but no because she was ninja they held her there for the use of the village which she hadn't been much of since she got there. Stopping about five feet from the person she turned around and went back to he village, it seemed like she was gonna have to take another way out and she knew the man to help her.

Exit

Well, it seemed that the issue had resolved itself. Kozai would have to be extra careful to keep a better watch on the walls next  time, he thought, as he leaped onto a rooftop to begin his survey once more.
