Maku had finished up with the Yuki nin and had made a friend in this Kozai fellow. Leading him towards Youka's last chakra signature point, he soon found his senses being thrown off kilter. All around him it appeared signatures were here and there, and because of that he assumed he was in the correct spot. He knew this was the rough location for Youka's "hideout" so this was probably some kind of defense system. Standing and looking back and forth, he had his hands in his pocket in a nonchalant stance.

He could only assume Youka would come out to meet him, and lead him inside to show him what he was working on. Maku had kept an eye on Kozai the entire time. As long as he was nearby he would say to him "My associate should be around here somewhere. Once we have hashed out our business together, I will assist you in any of your genetic intrests, including your questions about my eyes." He would then begin to whistle, with his right hand resting on his scepter.

Kozai had been relating his interests in genetics and such to Maku on their way there, and hoped that Maku would be receptive to his kind of research. As they arrived, he too would notice the sensory scrambling, which once reminded him id that angry young portal master, Arcanis Hedatari. He had yet to find and report to Echo on that matter... it was simewhat urgent. 

"Very well. I await this associate if yours with increasing anticipation." He would pat The Seed in his lab coat, ensuring it was still there, along with the limb.

Youka was rather slow in getting up to the top level of his hideout, he wasn't in his traditional armor, for now it was just black pants, a tank top, with a lab coat that had brain matter and blood smeared over it. He was also wearing very thick rubber gloves also covered in matter and the like. As he exited his boulder he saw the two off in the distance, and began walking in that direction to get a clearer view of the second person he had felt but couldn't remember.

As the distance closed, he looked over the person that had his back towards him before greeting them both about three meters away.

"Hey, I hope it didn't take you long to find the general area, you know like maybe four days of me waiting? Anyways it's nice to meet you blah blah blah, I'll need the new comer to actually be blind folded till we our underground, it's for security reasons, I hope you understand."

Youka would stand still and wait for the newcomer to agree to such a thing before continuing onwards.

Maku stood and watched as Youka came out of the cave covered in a bunch of filth. He probably covered himself in it before he came out on purpose, thinking it would make him look cool or something. Then he said something about making him wait, but Maku really wasn't paying attention until he heard blind fold. "Hey I don't do blind folds anymore, ever since that blonde in Iwa........O you mean him." He said with a thumb pointed towards Kozai.

"Well buddy boy, you heard the bossman." Maku then removed his head band that had the kanji of the Crustacean summoning race that he had pledged loyalty to. Walking over to Kozai, he would cover his eyes with it if he consented. If he didn't consent, well he'd handle it somehow.

Once done, if it was done, he would hope Youka would lead them inside, and hopeful have a vegi tray or something to eat, Maku was starving after all. "Well we ready to start this business" He said with a wink.

Without turning, Kozai recognized this "associate's" voice. He knew it... as the voice of perhaps a far more dangerous and devious man than one might expect. As he was blindfolded, he smiled widely, not a grin of malice or ambition, but one of relief and recognition "Hello again, Youka", he would call out to the man. "It's been a little bit. I would hope you would still recognize me..." 
As he was led underground, he heard Maku speak. "Indeed... I am eager to see what we can work out."

Youka heard the voice and instantly smiled wide as he knew who it was after only running the voice through his head for a second, Kozai. He had sparred this young man before and had a few conversations with him in length about certain things. A rather smart fellow the young man was and Youka wondered just how smart the boy had become since their last meeting. He would lead both of them back underground after Kozai was blindfolded and escort them to the living quarters of the hideout where they all could sit and talk in privacy and remove that blind fold from Kozai's face.

"Ah Kozai, yes, yes, I remember you, I wouldn't forget such a bright mind. I hope you'll be able to help me as well with some of the things I've been working on in my own little medical bay, I'd love to show them to you at a later time and see your take on it. But for now lets get you to the living area so we can all sit and relax"

As he reached their destination Youka would walk around behind Kozai and untie the band and pass it back to Maku before taking a seat in a comfy recliner he had moved into the area. Once they walked into the room they would notice a wide open space with candles every two meters attached to the wall and lit. There were multiple seating areas they could chose from, the dim atmosphere ade the area feel very welcoming, at least to Youka it did.

"So what brings you with my friend, Kozai?"

"I just happened to run into him, he looks like a sharp fellow, and figured you could use some assistance with your work." Maku would say as he sat in a comfortable chair. Oddly this chair looked like a bear of some kind, its eyes gave him worry, as if it didn't have pure intentions. It also seemed a little snug on the back side like an inappropriate hug.......O well, it just seemed right for him though. "Anywhoo, besides he is from Iwagakure as I guess you know since you call him friend, when did you meet eachother?" Maku would ask.

He continued to observe the area. It seemed comfortable enough, but the real question was what to do next. This was Youka's home turf so he would let the man take the lead. Maku was a casual observer, besides he had to investigate this chair some more, things still felt wierd with it.

Kozai found himself in what was presumably a sort of den. Curious chairs were placed about the room, some of which seemed cutely threatening, like a preteen girl. He sat down in an old mahogany affair, which was well-sanded and stained. He had heard Youka speaking of a medical bay, and his eyes now glittered with hidden glee.
He would first direct his attention to Youka. "I'm actually here to report to Echo. You remember that boy Arcanis? It's concerming him. Also, I come in search of new  DNA strains.I have a lab of my own now."
He would then reply to Maku. "We actually trained for a bit in Iwa. Speaking of which, I came across a woman earlier whoseemed to have connections with the two of you. She demanded that I refer to her as "hell's angel", which I thought somewhat odd. I'm sure I had seen her with you Youka, at one point."
