The boy's first question was whether or not he had to keep the flow, "Yes, this is taking what you've just learned and taking it a step forward." Den hoped that his answer was sufficient, and that he was helping the boy understand how to make the water element. The boy did seem to struggle with this step far more than the last one, but it was to be expected. This step took immensely more chakra control, as one had to change the very nature of their chakra, not just keep it 'flowing' like one.

After trying for a bit the boy asked yet another question, which Den was fine with. It was good to be inquisitive, and the boys desire to understand what Den was having him do showed that he truly desired to know how to manipulate water release, he wasn't just trying to learn it out of boredom or something.

"The water shouldn't move, unless you accidentally put to much chakra into it. You should just feel your chakra become more and more like the water, until the only difference between your water and the real thing is that its still made of your chakra, and is a part of you." Den wasn't the best at explaining things, but hopefully this would help.

Den was going to go on when his wood clone released itself. It had been running low on chakra, and had returned den's notebook to his apartment before allowing himself to go 'poof'. All of the clones knowledge entered Den's brain, all of his new theories on how his barrier would work. Now without a clone working on his research, Den believed he should go read over his new notes to better understand them.

"Hey, I just realized I have to go, really sorry." With a wave Den would turn to leave, heading back to his apartment.

"Oh...okay." he said while watching the man wave goodbye, "Thanks for helping me. Hopefully we'll meet again someday!" And then...he exited the training grounds. Now it was just Mugen by himself, left with the instructions the man had given him on learning the water element. This just got three times more difficult since he no longer had someone to guide him. However, the instructions....he had to recall the instructions. If he did, obtaining the water element would possibly become easier. At least, he hoped that it would become easier. The boy released a small sigh at his predicament before closing his eyes once more. He had to focus on turning his chakra into water again, there was no time to consider how difficult doing so would be....although, the thought almost forced a frown onto his face.

So, based on what was previously said he had to maintain the flow his chakra had previously gotten. Then he was to turn the chakra into water based on that flow, as it was to help him get a feel for what water was like. But, the water he was standing on couldn't move at all. If it did then that meant there was too much chakra being put into it. Which, yes, was not a good thing, not a good thing at all. It was supposed to be put in there in the first place. What needed to happen was his chakra actually beginning to feel like water, rather than just mimicking its properties. The more the explanation was said and repeated in his head, the easier it began to sound. He could definitely get this down. He definitely would get this down. Even if it cost him the entire day. There just so happened to be plenty more, anyway. Mugen sucked in a large amount of air before returning it to the atmosphere. The cool wind continued to blow onto him as he proceeded with his small task. Just like before, it helped him feel calm and assisted in keeping his head clear.

The more he concentrated, the more he felt his chakra beginning to morph. At first it was just similar to that original old flow, but then it turned into an actual substance traveling through him. But, then there was the problem on bringing it out. He'd mostly need some sort of technique to do so...he wasn't sure if just willing the water to come out would be possible. Actually, that didn't sound possible at all unless it was located within a jutsu of some kind. Suddenly, Mugen felt something...something strange. His chakra was no longer the twitchy and tingly lighting it was before. This time around it was indeed a liquid, it really did feel similar to water. His eyes shot open at the discovery as he stopped focusing on his chakra. Unfortunately, that cut off the flow that was maintained towards his feet. What happened next? Well, the boy fell. He fell and landed into the water below him, ultimately getting soaked in the process.

That seemed to occur a lot while he was in Takigakure. While he was training, he'd slip up and fall into any kind of water source. Mugen's head stayed under the water for a few moments, the only indication he was underneath being multiple bubbles rising to the surface. Eventually, which was really only a few more seconds, a full head of white hair appeared above the water's surface. A few coughs left his mouth as small droplets managed to escape too.

Ugh, I hate swallowing salt water...

He then swam back to the shore rather than just return to standing on the water. That was merely too much work in his opinion, he really couldn't bother doing it today. Once he made it to said shore, the boy was quick to walk around 2 meters away from the water. After he had done so, Mugen paused. Maybe it was best to try it again. There was nothing to lose now that he was standing on the hard, non-splashable, ground. If he messed up there would be no way for him to fall over, or anything else of the sort. However, he'd no longer have a reference to the type of "flow" he was supposed to have...then again, he could always walk back into the water and transfer his chakra through it. For now, turning it back into water, even if for a few seconds, would be sufficient.

Although it made him frown in major displeasure, Mugen refocused on what he was doing before the large splash. Or if one were to be rude yet a bit funny about it: epic fail. First, he focused on his lightning chakra. It was the same always which meant being sharp and all sparky. So, he turned his attention to recalling the flow from before. Luckily it was still there. That was a good sign for sure. The boy then went onto turning his chakra into the cool substance that was water. It was still water, with the difference being it was made chakra, it was a part of him. He couldn't only copy its properties, he had to actually create the water himself. Remembering the flow was merely there to guide him. Then, he caught the feeling again. His chakra had finally turned into water once more as it was running through him again. However, he was still...slow have doing it. More practice was clearly seen in his future. At the moment, he could only find ways to enhance his methods.

Along with how to not get soaked while training... he added as a small afterthought.

Oh, but what would be the best way to do so? Perhaps he'd need to head to the library again and obtain more information. Apparently, the library had become one of his favorite places, since he was now going there for seemingly everything. He couldn't help it! There was so much information that he couldn't possibly just leave alone to sit on dusty shelves. This time, for help with turning his water into chakra...water jutsu would be his best bet. That way he could learn to perform the transition naturally instead of having to think about it. Maybe he could get some new clothes along the way. The pair he was currently wearing was...well soaked. Mugen sighed before shaking his head in slight shame. He didn't understand why this kept happening to him.

Moving on from such depressing matters, the boy rubbed some water out of his hair before walking out of the training grounds. New destination: the library.
