Time to castle. Kotonaru had hoped a better opportunity would present itself, but better safe than sorry. He castled, and resumed using his attempts to make miriads of water needles. Picking up a piece of paper, he attempted to shred it using the water. If Zebra moved, Kotonaru would glance back at the board, his mind churning with possibilities for tactics.

Zebra would play d4. Zebra would then wait for Kotonaru to move but if not, Zebra would read his book. Zebra would wait and get open his book again and read it. Zebra was getting pretty bored now but he would continue reading taking a little while to do this. Zebra would have a little think about what to do. Zebra would eventually play d4.

E4, E5
N-F3, N-C6
B-C4, N-F6
Kotonaru hurriedly scribbled down the moves that came after that, not wanting to leave some missing.
E4, E5
N-F3, N-C6
B-C4, N-F6
0-0, B-C5
N-C3, 0-0
D4
Now, Kotonaru had to admit, D4 was a bit of a surprise. he did not think that Zebra Toriko would do this move, since he had been playing fairly well up until this point. However, it did seem that his opponent was fairly engrossed in his book, which was good, perhaps he would learn the earth element soon. On the other hand, the opponent was fairly handicapped, or at least did not think as long over his moves as Kotonaru. Kotonaru had been kinda hoping the opponent would do a move like this as he would be able to win the exchange quite handily, if he was careful enough.
Kotonaru took the opponents pawn with his own, adding it to the list which now was:
E4, E5
N-F3, N-C6
B-C4, N-F6
0-0, B-C5
N-C3, 0-0
D4, ExD4
"Your Move" Kotonaru said, before rereading parts of the book on the thousand needles of death or whatever the jutsu was called. He drank some of the water in the glass, before remembering its intended purpose. Slightly embarrassed, he stopped, and lifted the water out of the glass again, deciding to move the water in the form of marbles as opposed to needles for the time being, so that he would be less likely to destroy anything unintended, like a book, or someone's eye.... He wondered if Zebra would react in a noticable way to his sudden attack on the chess board or not. Until Zebra Toriko moved, Kotonaru would be practicing his latest water jutsu.
Then he realized, he had left something on the oven. "Dang it, sorry, can we continue this game later? I need to get something off of the oven BEFORE my apartment complex burns down...." Kotonaru would rush out the door unless hindered otherwise, dashing at full speed back to his dwelling and hoping that his water jutsu would come in handy.
