The Crossroad
Mon Nov 24, 2014 3:39 pm
Xyxer had previously sent out two letters; one to Altar, one to Jason. Both of them were of Jounin rank, yet neither of them had showed how useful they were when it came to combat, and fighting was quite a big role in the duty of a ninja this day. How could he have his teams lead if one of them was inadequate when it came to fighting, after all? The two letters had been given the location where he currently was and their task - Brutalise their opponent. So he stood, his cloak fluttering in the wind along with the bell of his straw hat, the red clouds and black cloak a dark contrast to the grey of the tower, his eyes hidden by the shadow created from his hat.

Jason entered the area with the note in his hand. "brutalise each other." it said. strange. why would someone send him this? and it was written with a clear word of the address and what he had to do. he had to fight someone, possibly to the death. this pumped Jason up. finally, he was gonna enter a fight. he was gonna prove that he was a brutal killer when it came to fighting. or rather, it'd be his first time in actually killing someone and fighting someone. so this was a first. Jason surveyed the entire area. Jason saw towers that stood sky high, possibly literally. Jason made several 360 spins as he checked the towers out. they were impressive, and Jason liked it. they were art to him. Jason took out a kunai and twirled it in his finger and caught it by the handle and prepared himself. an attack could come from any direction. Jason took careful steps and turned quickly but not too quickly around, in case there were a surprise attack. maybe they'd attack with shurikens, Maybe they'd attack with Kunai. Jason didn't know, so therefore he had to be careful. Jason used his Chakra Sensory to sense if there was anyone around. there was a faint one. Though where was Jason's guess. He looked around but couldn't find a person or a soul in sight. This person was good. Jason quickly took his weapon pouch that had his equipments in. he looked and saw that he had 4 kunai in the pouch plus the one he held in his hand, 5 shuriken, 2 smoke bombs and 2 paper tag seals. He had to think creatively to win this fight. even if he had to use all of his items, He had to win. He didn't think whether or not he could win, no, he HAD to win. to make him become stronger. and if he lost, he'd just train some more to get stronger. But there was no "if" in this fight. Failure was not an option here. Jason is gonna fight with all his might. Jason put the weapon pouch back to his butt and readied his kunai in his hand. He was gonna win.

Altar stood atop a simple rooftop, watching this person stroll into a wide open area. There wasn't much to see, and Altar closely watched the boy's movements, watching him swing a Kunai around his finger, pull out a weapons pouch, put it back, and the like. Luckily, Altar was at such an angle that they boy would be unable to see him, but he was able to see the boy quite well. Utilizing his chakra suppression, Altar would quietly drop to the ground, and begin this endeavor. He had received a letter from Xyxer that merely said to brutalize his opponent. That was an easy enough task, Altar thought. And he had come ready for it.
Altar's clothes were tight fitting so as not to get caught or snagged, but baggy enough to allow freedom of movement, and so movement would not easily show. He was wearing soft, pliable shoes that would make little to no noise, so he would be nearly inaudible. That, combined with the soft ground, would make him completely inaudible to average ears. Altar's equipment was simple, his katana, and two small cloth bags, filled to the brim with things like sand and dirt. The sheathe of his katana was also filled partially with sand. He would still be able to draw and sheathe his weapon, but it would make no sound.
From the ground, Altar would walk into the small area, wondering just what was ahead of him.

"The rules are simple. Neither of you will use anything in this fight aside for your martial prowess and your equipment. No jutsus, no armour, no summons, no doujutsu.. need I go on? If this rule is not met, the disqualified will be maimed and branded a cheater. The fight will go on until one victor is clear, whether they be standing in blood or their opponent is cowering in fear.. But if the loser is cowering in fear with no wounds, well then, they'll be executed anyway." With those words, Xyxer summoned Tidebreaker, an awestriking sword before him and threw it down intothe earth directly in the centre of the two, able to be used as a weapon due to it's incredible sharpness. "Form the seal of confrontation, nod, and then begin."

Jason stretched out his left hand to form the seal of confrontation with the man in full gear. Jason was in gear as well, but the man probably didn't know that. if the man did the seal of confrontation as well, Jason would then begin by quickly going behind him with the speed of 65 and kick him at the fold of the leg where the kneecap is. if the attack would succeed, then Jason would follow up with a throw, as the man would briefly be in the air. if none of the attacks would work, then Jason would pick up the sword, if he could. if he didn't, then Jason would dig around for a suitable item to use in this fight. if the man would run towards Jason, then Jason would quickly take out a smoke bomb and throw it at his feet. the impact of the smoke bomb would make it explode and the smoke would spread to 100 meters in all sides. the bomb would fly at the speed of 65 with the added strength of 3 plus the speed of throwing the bomb which was added to 108 in total. if the man saw that Jason threw a smoke bomb and was prepared for it and that the man had shielded his eyes, and continued to run towards Jason then Jason would counter by grabbing the mans arms and using the momentum of the man's running speed against him and throw him over Jason's shoulders right towards a wall. If Jason wasn't quick enough to catch the man in time, then Jason would get hit but still, if he could, manage to grab the arms by what he could grab and Jason would get hit by a punch or a kick. if Jason was hit by a headbutt, then Jason would stumble backwards a bit and be open for an attack. If Jason got hit by either the punch or the kick, then Jason would hope to block against the incoming attacks and if he could, dodge to the right and throw a kick at the man's left knee cap. if Jason got a hit, then the man would stumble a bit leaving him for an opening of a next attack. if Jason would miss, then that meant that Jason would be very open for attacks, as he was still dodging a previous attack, if that attack happened and would suffer a minor injury. If the man would stumble long enough for Jason to regain his composure after his dodging, then Jason would follow up with a combo of punches to the man's face, which would end with a round house kick to the man's chin which would send him flying. or at least Jason hoped that would happen. if the man's strength and speed was better than Jason's, then Jason wouldn't do any damage to the man at all, and would only hurt himself in the process and be even more open for an attack.

Altar heard out Xyxer's words, and made the sign of confrontation, followed by a nod. Altar would wait in place, wanting to see just what this boy was made of. The boy charged him, appearing to be almost as fast as Altar. That was something he may need to watch out for, then. Speed was a dangerous thing, in retrospect. So, the boy charged behind him, and Altar watched him, wondering just what he was going to attempt. When the boy reached full behind him, Altar decided he didn't like the idea of the boy being behind him. Altar would sweep his left leg out and around, keeping it low to the ground. This would cause his body to swivel around on his right foot to face Jason, as well as moving to dodge the kick aimed at his knee. Since Jason had been caught mid movement without a target, this would most likely throw him off balance. Still turning, Altar would raise his leg and aim a kick at the back of Jason's head. Given that the kick landed Jason would be knockd further off balance but not to the point of falling, and Altar would land his foot back on the ground, and move his body towards Jason's, aiming a right hook for Jason's chest. If it landed, Altar's hand would carry through before being stopped. Jason would presumably suffer a few broken ribs.
Altar would next aim to throw Jason away, hooking both of his arms under Jason's, pinning his arms down, and throwing him away from his left side, aiming him for the summoned Tidebreaker. If this move went through, Jason would land squarely on Tidebreaker, and his back would suffer a severe, deep cut.
All of this would, of course, be attempted at Altar's max speed.

Jason saw the punch coming at him, and he ducked under the punch and made a kick at the man's legs which he then would follow up with an uppercut towards his chin. if the strike would hit, then the man would fly up and then crash towards the ground. if Jason would miss, then Jason would use the momentum of his uppercut to spin around and do a spinning roundhouse kick at the man's stomach, which would make the man tumble on the ground. should this happen then Jason would rush up and follow up with a series of stomps on his chest and stomach. if the hits would miss, then the man would suffer a series of bruises, and worst part a broken rib or two. should Jason miss then Jason would dodge backwards by jumping backwards. Jason had remembered where the huge sword had landed so that Jason was careful in not cutting himself. Jason also noticed that the man didn't like attacks from behind, so he had to attack from the front. though, this was perhaps a bad idea, as it would leave Jason open for a lot of attacks, and if they hit they would be deadly. Jason thought for a moment of what to do and when getting an idea. Jason took out a kunai and a paper bomb seal and wrapped it around the handle. Jason then threw the kunai with the paper seal bomb at the ground in front of him. Jason then thought out a trick, to see if he could be successful in tricking the man. Jason would do the handseal for blowing the paper seal bomb up. if the man would fall for it and shield himself, then Jason's plan worked and he would then channel chakra and make the paper bomb seal blow up, which would make the man fly away at an incredible speed but still be protected from the shield. at least, Jason hoped so. he didn't want to kill the man. if none of this would work, then Jason would move to plan B and quickly taking out two shurikens and throw them at his face. with the amount of throwing speed, plus Jason's speed itself and his strength, the shurikens would cut the man's face. if the man would block the shurikens with the bag that he was carrying then they would cut through the bag and perhaps spill the contents to the training ground floor. if the shurikens would be deflected by the sheath of the katana that the man was carrying then Jason would rush up as fast as he could to the man and deliver a quick jab to the face. If the punch landed, then Jason would follow up with a quick roundhouse to the man's torso which would send him flying to the floor.

Altar saw the man dodge his punch, and duck downwards, aiming a kick for his legs. Altar thought that was somewhat surprising, putting yourself in such a terrible position. There were so many things that could be done to you while you were so close to the ground. Noting this, Altar decided to take the kick, and then some. Seeing the kick coming, Altar would pivot and kick with all his strength and speed at Jason's leg, aiming the point of impact for the ankle. Given that the kick landed, Jason's ankle would shatter and break, leaving him with only one leg. Now having only one leg to lean on, Jason would most likely be unbalanced, so Altar looked to take advantage of that. Having used his left leg to counter Jason's kick, Altar would immediately turn and aim a rising kick for Jason's chin, using his right leg. If this landed, it would send Jason back about a half meter. and it would indeed hurt like a sunuvabitch, though it would not break his jaw.
After this, Altar would throw a cloth bag at Jason, directed at his eyes. On impact, the bag would rupture and explode. Given that it hit, Jason's eyes would be filled with sand and the like if they were open. If they were closed, then when he opened them, his eyes would soon sting by the contaminated air, and his vision would be greatly impaired. After this, Altar would charge Jason, his movements being quieted by his clothes and the ground. Upon getting within reach of Jason, Altar would unsheate his Katana, flaying more sand into the air and into Jason's eyes, and aim the unsheathing slash for Jason's stomach, followed by a stab for the same region. If the slash landed, the metal would bite deep into Jason, giving more pain and more trouble moving. If the stab landed, it was a safe assumption that the battle had ended.
Everything Altar did was still being attempted at his top speed.

Jason felt the incredible pain at hearing his ankle being shattered, and Jason had a brief enough time to block the punch aimed at his chin. however due to the loss of his ankle, and massive bleeding, Jason collapsed to the floor and passed out. as he passed out,he heard the man walk towards him.

Xyxer had looked on at the fiht that was occurring before him, wait, no.. It was not a fair, it was an execution.. Was this Jounin mocking him? Did he believe that not fighting to his fullest potential would spare him the Wrath of Tengakure? Infuriated at how the boy had been so simple to not appraise his opponent during the fight and instead had got his own leg shattered in his own attack, he lifted his hand up to signal for the fight to end as Altar was halfway through the stabbing gesture. Did Jason lack equipment? Why did he attack a person more physically superior without any added weaponry or tricks? Those were the errands of a fool, and as such, he'd be treated like one. Xyxer threw one hand forwards and extended his finger from the cloak, pointing to the glaring metal that was Tidebreaker.
"Remove his hand."
"Remove his hand."
