Going Numb [NK]

Laz knew what was about to happen thanks to the jutsu but could he do something about it? No he couldn't.  As he and Mugen began to move closer and closer towards the shady figure which laz still thought was a spirit his nerves would get worse and worst.  "High? Uh im on the ground l..." he said if mugen had asked him a idiotic question which he didn't really get. Either way laz took a offense to the last part of that sentence "spirits doesn't exist? See this why u didn't want to tell you what happened which made the family reunion bad!" He said as the was still being forced to walk. The women who had put them under this unfair jutsu which was no fun...then again it could be fun if it wasn't being used in him. "Yo spirit-chan, See I told kiru that this was blizzard spirits land I mean sure you might be pissed because of our village may have settled here without permission but look the village is gone and as a offer for not killing us I hear by nominate Mugen for you to take !" He said as he was mostly joking but he seriously had to offer something or they wiuld mostly not be in any good health. "How bout our village headbands? Yeah there from the village over there which is no more but they hold some value or-" Laz would stop talking as he figured he was probably making their situation worse. As they continued walking the woman or spirit who used the shadow jutsu on them sounded familiar but laz didn't know why or cared for the matter as she said something which   threw him way off guard. And in that instant the fun loving idiot became a serious and cold sounding guy. "H-how the fuck did you..." His second biggest secret has been founded out which really pissed him off as he would look down ti his bandaged covered hand. "First you say this is your land...then you- what the fuck do you want exactly?  Huh spirit?" Laz was not really angry it was just he became irritated as it is since he couldn't control his own body for like the third time and now his secret has been founded out by a complete stranger spirit? Laz was then sigh as he would then go into a silent state and wait for whatever was going to happen.


The silence wouldn't last for long as he would begin to try and calm himself down by doing what his mother taught him the most, sing~ "Do you want to build a snowman...." he sung lowly but probably loud enough for both Mugen and the spirit to hear.

They would each stand still for what would seem like an eternity, the cold biting against their skin, torturous to any not used to the climate or appropriately dressed. With her layers of armor she barelly felt the chill of yuki, something she was thankful for. It would almost feel like they'd stood for hours before she finally acted, not speaking. She simply walked forward, the scythe raised up to set on her shoulder, paralell to the ground. She would continue to walk forward between them, ensuring there was only barelly enough room for her to pass. They crossed paths, seeming to go their separate ways, which would bring the reality of what was happening quickly into realization. As they each walked, still under the control of the shadow imitation, The blade came closer, far past her back until it left their sight, slipping under their chins to meet the skin of their throats. One more slight step made the blade bite lightly into their flesh, draping a barelly noticable line of crimson before they were released from the jutsu, Kira turning to finally address them. 

"It's dangerous out here. Yukikagure has fallen and you two risk the ruins without knowledge of what caused it or if they still draw breath..... they don't. I am Kiranomo of Koukan. I'm sure I've met each of you before... Perhaps even trained with you, though it was a time ago. Come. Within the dragon lands will be safer. " Her tone was dark and cold, not offering them the grace of hope. This was essencially a buisiness transaction for her. 

    "Empty your pockets and I will remove the blade from your throats. your money and equipment is now the property of Koukan. If you prove worthy it will be given back. If you deny this I suppose you will have to go the same way the three who destroyed yuki have. They're dead. If they looked, which would be dificult with the weapon stil at their throats, They would notice the line of shadow still there, a silent sentury guarding it's post to ensure compliance. She granted them movement, which she considered a gift potentially not earned. 

"Any still living from these lands are under the care of Koukan, Of myself and Kiru. They are granted the gift of life thanks to my protection as long as they prove themselves worth my effort to protect. If you hold power you may be welcomed into the group but any others will be as my children, watched to ensure their safety but not granted toys they havent earned. The enemy is the Demon youka. On this I do not play around. " If they turned they would find her facing them at the entrance to the cave, her mask removed with her free hand and her second gripping the scythe still resting on her shoulder.

"You what?!" he almost yelled, "She might as well take your ass instead! I didn't sign up for this..." Of course, he didn't mean what he said anymore than Laz did with his own words. The boy huffed and kept his eyes directed towards the ground, simply trying to assess the situation here. They were under this stranger's control, a stranger who seemed to be very familiar to him, with no way out. They were either going to die here, or be forced to work under this person as slaves. He was slightly hoping for the latter...that way, they could find a way to escape later on.

He simply watched the interaction between Lazuru and the stranger, and saw his friend's demeanor suddenly shift. This was a first for Mugen, to see this happen. Whatever the stranger had said, it must have been something that shouldn't have been revealed. Sadly, the youth did not know what it was, nor did he want to find out, for it seemed it wasn't meant to be spoken about to anyone. Even he knew his boundaries in certain things and he couldn't break past the wall here. Then, Laz started to sing for no reason. What was he trying to do, lighten the tense atmosphere, amuse himself? Well, it was amusing Mugen at least.

The stranger kept them standing in place for a good amount of time, enough time for the boy to grow slightly annoyed and a bit cold. But of course, he practically lived in this weather for most of his life, so he was able to bear with the situation. But his patience for standing in one place was, sadly, dwindling. Thankfully, she began to move, forcing Mugen to walk as well. She went in-between him and Laz, her weapon growing closer and closer to their necks. For a moment, the boy struggled to keep his cool as he came to realize his life was truly in danger here. Her words reached his ears, but it came out as gibberish. As soon as he heard "Yukigakure has fallen" it became gibberish.

He would not believe it, he still refused to.

However, Mugen was able to register one of her statements. He didn't even know what Koukan was, but now he belonged to it, and was forced to give up his items? He did not have the desire to join any sort of group such as "Koukan", which was what it sounded like, even if Kiru was apart of... Kiru was okay? Being barely conscious of it, a wave of relief washed over him. His sensei was okay and alive, that was good news. Now he only needed to hear who else was safe. Perhaps...perhaps his little sister was put into the category of safe? He could only hope for now.

Already, he was missing the feeling of being amused, and wanted it to return. Anything to replace what was going on within him at the moment. For several seconds, he remained silent, before he began to hum a light tune. "...The snow glows white in the blizzard tonight, not a village to be seen..." he mumbled.

Then, he slowly reached into his pocket, pulling out the little amount of ryo he had, and tossed it onto the snow in front of him. She could pick it up herself. He proceeded to toss his kunai and exploding tag to the ground too.  As for his skateboard, it was strapped onto his back...he didn't think she needed that though. "A kingdom of isolation and it looks like we're the fools..."

"Kira.." Laz said as he would ponder on her name. With quick realization he would then stare at her in suprise who it was. "You the lady that randomly hugged me!" Laz yelled as he would put his hands in his pocket when Mugen began to toss his stuff out. "Look Kira,,this is a misunderstanding I already know about Koukan and i'm already apart of it otherwise I wouldn't know where kiru sensei dragon cave was at well sorta kinda not kiru's summons since he let me sign the...whatever look If you want my stuf fine have it!" Laz said as he would begin to pull out everything he owned which was actually a few. He would pull out his Yuki headband which was wrapped around his lunch money bag which he worked so hard for. Sure he would have tossed it on the ground like Mugen did but with the blade at his neck he wouldn't really take that chance. Laz would then reach his hand out with his lunch money bag towards kira keeping a semi fake smile on his face.

Laz was not very fond of loosing his hard earned ryo but hey if you was being mugged with a big ass scythe at your throat wouldn't you? "Damn my father was right..." He said in a low tone. Shaking out that uneasy feeling in his head Laz would then begin to hear Mugen sing. Wait Let me rephrase that it was horrible it sounded like a dying dog with this howling wind and laz would probably sound the same but with his training in such activities thanks to his mom he would overcome the wind and totally forget about the blade at his neck. Mugen must have heard him earlier when he was calming himself down and so Laz took this as a challenge to see who could sing better under these conditions. Taking a deep breath Laz would begin "The wind is yodeling like the dragons all in there" Laz sung as he suggested towards the cave."They couldn't keep it in, heavens know they tried" Laz would then begin to grin at the giving situation him and Mugen singing just like old times

"Don't kill us now, we're begging please! We'll be the good boys you want us to be~" Yes Laz started to feel it. What was it? The musical adrenaline that one would see so much in musical plays or something....Musical adrenaline totally was something laz mom used to say. "I cannot feel my fingers now, Let us free right somehooooooooooooooooooooooow!!!" Laz would then look to Mugen with an idiotic smile on his face as if saying your go. He would then turn his attention back towards kira still with that idiotic smile on his face. "Or you could go lightnen up the mood ya'know? I mean we did give you our ryo and other stuff like my headband unless you want whatever this crumbled up thing this is in my pocket." Laz said as he would then proceed to pull it out and un-crumble it. Once again he would become depresso expresso laz. "I can't give you this sorry this is not for you nor would i think you want it anyways.." He said as he would then place it back in his pocket. What was it that made him depress? A family photo and we all know how bad that is yet he still keeps it. "I mean we are basically being mugged might as well tell you something i have that you might want later...if you believe me or not I sorta kinda found this awesome crown...buuuut I lost it when I was being chased by some half naked guys throwing spears and whatnot but if you wanted to look for it somewhere near the lightning country" Laz said The only other thing he had left which could have been considered weapon related was his arm and leg but he really needed those so he wouldn't mention it or suggest to it. "Oh man i feel sorry for anyone else traveling through here like that old man...you probably already got to him. Shiiiiit..if my dad saw this he would most likely kill me instead of you.." Laz said as he would actually check for any sign of his father's caravan. Again he would have a sigh of relief as he wopuld wait for His and Mugen's fate

She moved forward, using the mastered shadow imitation jutsu once more to hold them in place. She gathered their items, leaving the head bands and a single kunai in teh snow beneath them. She'd given them the time to comment as they wished, and even sing some obnoxious song she could only assume was used to appeal to her kind side. It had effected her a bit, though she wouldn't admit it. Once she was done she gave them each a cold stare before releasing the jutsu, reaching out with her chakra senses to watch their movements as she headed back towards the cave. 

"I was. I appologize for any misunderstanding..... I would have expected Kiru to have taken care of this when he alloed you entrance to the dragon lands before, and to be clear.... you are not a part of koukan, you are under our protection. We have three members. Any others must prove their usefulness to me. Get inside. If you leave the dragon lands without my or kiru's permission you will breathe your last breath. Once you're inside hone your skills to be useful to me. If you think this is a kind time for relaxation and joy it will be this belief that costs you your life.... We are in a time of war and I am a drastically different person from the girl who hugged you..... You will understand with time why the changes were needed. take your kunai and your headband. Offer those to any one else and it will be the last thing you do.." The comment was directed at the boy who had tried twice now to relinquish what she considered the most important item for a ninja. 

"Yuki is dead asside from those of us who still fly it's banner. Wear it proud. Some of us dont have that privelege. "

He heard when Lazuru began to sing, but wished he had not mere seconds afterwards. It was like the sound of crying babies as they were being burned alive. The second he felt as if his ears would begin to bleed, the singing thankfully stopped. Apparently, the smile sent his way signaled he was responsible for finishing up the song. Mugen took in a deep breath, getting ready to sing once more and put the atrocious thing Laz just did with his voice to shame.

"Let us go, let us go, we can't stand here no mooore. Let us go, let us go, our feet are getting sooore!"

He was about to continue, but paused once he noticed the other two were prepared to speak. So, he clamped his mouth shut and proceeded to remain silent, for now. The first voice that reached his ears was from Lazuru, but sadly the boy blocked out some of his statements, for they seemed to be ramblings. By some, he meant about 50%. He kept quiet, until Kiranomo began to move forward, him immediately feeling frozen once she did so. The shadow technique was activated again, it seemed. She was apparently collecting their items, and once she finished, he found himself no longer under the effects of the jutsu. Her stare went unnoticed by Mugen, as he was more focused on stretching out his arms. However, he managed to hear her words as she walked away.

The last of what she said hit him. Hit him hard.

Mugen's eyes started to sting again, just as they had before, but he fought it down, just as he did before. This time he was also successful, but perhaps he wouldn't be once it returned again. With no words, the boy bent down to pick up his kunai, soon staring at it as the snow continued to fall.

"...Here we go then," he mumbled after he started to follow behind Kiranomo to the cave, the energy he had to sing and keep himself entertained suddenly drained away.

[Exit I guess.]

Surely Mugen did receive the message of finishing the song off but Laz would blackout for a second dp to the sheer sound of that horrible singing way worse than a dying dog and scratching metal. He would soon catch the few things kira had said once again freezing them in place and taking their items. Once finally being released from the jutsu Laz would begin to retort back at what a few things kira said. "Yuki isn't dead until the last Yuki nin draws their last breath!" He said as he would see Mugen getting depress when kira said that yuki was dead. Laz wasn't too happy about not actually being part of the group and having to prove his worth. Sighing since he really didn't feel like saying anything about it he would follow kira and Mugen into the cave. "Prove this,  prove that. .blah blah blah whatever let's just get this show on the road. "  He had mumbled as they would enter the cave.

[Exit]

She turned once more, brandishing her weapon quite violently towards The metal armed boy, a look of intent in her eyes. Her extensive fighting experience training under the two terrors of the ninja world granted her incredible senses, strong enough to have easilly caught his little bit of mumbled back talk and as he finished she would allow him to see the hatred growing in her eyes. WIth a pulse of her chakra her display of power flowed through her body, energy coating her body to grow nearly to the top of the cave itself. It's form was horrific to say the least, a spectral reaper who's great arms seemed to wield a scythe twice that of her own in great clawed hands. The aura would hit them, pushing the edge of paralelesis for Laz, though it wouldn't actually stop him in fear, the thick energy would serve as a reminder that she was not one to be triffled with. 

"Boy.... Your village lies in rubble, it's people dead and fashioned into a reminder that bad people want to destroy this world and you honestly decide the one person who's taken it upon herself to give your live value is one to be mocked?! Perhapse I should strike you down here. It would be at this point that she would prove to them that she meant buisiness. Shift. The word slid calmly through her mind, allowing her weapon to switch it's forms quickly. She traded the weapons summoning ability for her most powerful tool, the screech of sorrow, activating it immediately. The cave would be filled with a terrifying blood curdling scream like to a maiden's final ear splitting call before being ushered into death, and with it's song in their ears the two would understand her strength. Each would feel it's effects, unless their health was over fifty, their bodies locking up and freezing as the genjutsu like effect took them over. if this was the case they would find the world itself almost seemed to disappear, Kira no longer noticable within the large cave, however in her place would stand the dead themselves. before each, alone in their own little world, they would witness the deaths of any they'd taken the lives of, npc or player character, each death happening simultaneously and vividly how it happened down to their final cries. 

If their health was under eighty they would also find themselves slowed by the difference between her weapons power and their health stat once they were released from the paralelesis, which would take one post unless their health was raised over this cap. THe slowing effect would take from them an ammount of speed equal to the difference between their health and the 80 cap of the weapon's ability for six posts. 

With a cruel smile she walked up to each, the black cloak flowing defensively across her body to further provide the effect she wanted to portray. If they were not caught in this other would she would look like a demon or spectre coming to relenquish their lives. Once in range she would simply lick each of their cheeks, taking advantage of the paralelesis unless they proved to be free of it, at which point she would act accordingly, and with her execution by kiss she would learn their elements fairly easilly. 


"Hm... Water...." She would give Laz a small peck on the lips, drawing his techniques before finally being quite disappointed. "But no techniques to go with your element? This is..... unfortunate. Perhaps when you realize that the gift I offer you is a blessing I will teach you some of my lower level Suiton techniques..." She would then move to mugen, tasting something strange from him. 

"Raiton...... delightful. " Her lips would return to his, drawing elemental power from his body quickly. She would take very little actual chakra, a single point to ensure he knew what she could do, as she pulled the ability to use this element from his body quickly.

He was startled once she had suddenly turned to face them, her scythe pointed in Lazuru's direction. However, what truly caught the boy's eyes was her own. Hatred. Bubbling and increasing and intensifying. It must have been something Laz said. It must have been something Laz said. They were going to be screwed if they didn't do something soon. He was prepared to jump back, and yell at his friend to do the same, but stopped upon feeling a force pressed onto him. He had experienced it before with a different person, when he was in Takigakure. Is it...killing intent...? Did she plan to kill them? Or was she simply trying to instill fear into their hearts? But, as already mentioned, he had dealt with this once in the past. And it was much more powerful; he could take this. But what of his friend? What was he supposed to do to help?

Forget about him and escape.

What? No, he couldn't do that, no-!

Leave him behind.

No...

Do it.

NO!

Then there were more of her words again, words to push him closer to the edge of the cliff that led to a drop into shark infested waters. It wasn't aimed towards him, but the effect was still there. The boy covered his ears to block Kiranomo out, and pressed down onto his ears harder every time he still managed to hear her. Village. Rubble. People. Dead. Each word echoed within his head, and it troubled him beyond belief. Finally, there was a scream. A horrible scream. In fact, "horrible" was not the correct term to use, but his vocabulary was not large enough to describe the screech's true nature. The hair on his skin rose, and he felt paralyzed, his freedom stripped by the woman in front of him for the umpteenth time. He was getting sick of it, to be frank.

Abruptly, his surroundings began to crumble, as if it was a mask starting to crack and fall to the ground in pieces. Before the boy knew it, he was standing inside of a house. It would seem familiar to him, if it were not on fire. However, the flames weren't reaching him, but going everywhere he wasn't. He looked on, the sight before him going in and out of focus. At last, the scene was clear, far too clear, far too unnerving. He was in a burning hallway, similar to the one in his old home -- no...it was the one in his old home. At the end was the front door, and through the doors still intact window: a slightly younger him, probably by a year or two, with Emi at his side. No...no way...

Stumbling into the hallway came a figure he recognized immediately...why, it was his older brother, Akira. He was on fire, his usually tan skin a bright red from the flames, his blood curdling screams resounding throughout the entire house. The boy would cringe if he was able to, he would close his eyes if he was able to, but he couldn't. He couldn't do anything. Next to come tumbling in was someone he wished to never see again in his entire lifetime. His mother had her eyes practically mutilated, yet still located within her eye sockets. It was a gruesome sight, with the blood flowing down her cheeks from her eyes, as if they were tears. He was the one to do that. He was the one to stab her eyes. Bits of fire were also scattered around her frame, but nothing came from her mouth, despite being opened. She seemed to be shouting something out, shouting it to the world, but it wasn't escaping past her lips.

That's when he heard it. In a whisper.

Mugen.

His name came out in whispers, mutters from his mother. Each time it was spoken, it was spoken with hatred, yet hidden beneath was some sick, twisted hint of love. He caused all of this to happen. But they deserved it. He killed his own family members. But they practically tortured him ever since he was a child. He caused them to suffer in the end. But it was a decent punishment for all the sins they committed against him. The scene proceeded to replay, over, and over, and over, until it was burned into his mind.

He did not notice Kiranomo coming towards him, and barely registered it when he was licked, which would normally disgust him. The sight of his family burning was still playing in his head, and it made the light in his eyes flicker on and off. However, he did feel it when he was paralyzed even further due to the Execution by Kiss, and felt his chakra being drained, albeit only by the slightest amount.

I see you are in quite a bit of trouble...would you like to have my assistance here?

There was no response. The light in his eyes continued to flicker.

Come now, let me in control. Just for a bit. Pretty please?~

The light went out for seconds, much longer than what was considered safe. Mugen could feel the smile that formed on Kyokai's face, and that was enough for him. The light returned, despite the scene still going on and on.

Tch. I was close. Seems you still have a bit of strength left...

If Mugen was able to smile a rather dull smile, he would have by now.

(Yay! Laz finally has been broken, the fact I typed this from phone...I deserve a reward for such commitment XD)

Laz watched as kira would swing and point her weapon at his direction all the while showing an evil killing intent something Laz truly hated the most. He wouldn't back away tho which would most people would actually do but laz wasn't most people. He knew she heard what he said but was he actually mocking her? Not exactly if he would mock her he would clearly do something like pretending to be a super scary grim reaper lady who seemed to not care well enough for how other people feel but did he do it? No. Laz would stare at her eyes as he noticed it rage clearly and hatred maybe some neglect and even a little bit of sadness but it was truly rage. "Hey nee-chan what are you-" Laz didn't feel like finishing his sentence when he heard that scream..that scream was beyond humane way worse than Mugen singing that scream sounded truly like something from hell, where they already in hell? 

For the moment Laz still tried keeping that aloof smiling face he always had but bit by bit it was fading away. Surely he wouldn't be able to move which he started to get used to since it happened so much but he would notice it. The very world he knew shattered in front of him which all the same was scary and somewhat cool and exciting enough....like I said earlier laz is a very strange person a very unique as you could say. What was replaced by the cave was a forest that had a rainy day. Laz didn't noticce it at first until he heard laughter not his laughter, not Mugen's not even Kira' laughter but someone he wanted to forget so badly, his closest friend. The brunette haired girl would run through the forest laughing her ass off for what she just did. Laz would then see a kid who was not him but was. He looked two years younger than Laz and his hair was exceptionally a light color of red or salmon. The salmon haired boy who was covered In feathers would chase after the girl also grinning and laughing.  "No..No No No...kira stop this please just stop it I can't go through this again I can't remember. " Is what laz said as if kira was there but she was indeed not in sight in this rainy forest. The girl would still continue to run still laughing and grinning. 

"Hey dead boy why you covered In feathers?" She had said while she would look back at young laz.

"Why? You know why you did this! Now Mika stop running so I can put this frog on you and stop calling.me dead man...I'm clearly alive!" He had shouted back at her as he held the frog up in the air to show her.

"Fine Noro, let's call this a tie if you put the frog down I'll stop running simple as that." She said as she would yell back at laz still going full spead and heading towards... "Mika stop! Mika stop now! You are heading towards my father's secret place!" He yelled with all his might as he would watch as she would trip and roll down the hill which lead to such place.

Laz couldn't do nothing he knew wbat was going to happen he couldn't stop this from happening he never could not even now he couldn't stop it from playing. "Kira please I beg of you to just stop this I'll do whatever you want just stop this I can't remember this I can't  I can't. ..." laz sobbed as tears would begin to flow from bis eyes as the scene shifted. From the beauty of the raining forest to a camp. The camp was silent and empty except for three living beings...Noro/Laz, Mika and Laz's farther. How did such a shif occur? They were placed in a genjutsu of course. Therefore making laz to be under not just some weird thanks to kira but a genjutsu which would go beyond what kira affect is doing. Such a genjutsu was only possible by Laz's father. "Laz look at you...so weak no power no potential your a lost cause." Laz eyes would open wide as he heard what hos father just said as if he was here for real instead of jist a stupid memory but that's impossible right? "See you should have stayed now look your going to have to kill your friend because she knows my secret and so do you...." Yeah like he could actually know that laz was there I mean this is a memory there is no way he could possible do that. 

"Look dad this is my fault just leave Mika out of this I accept her punishment....even if it means I die." Noro said as he would walk I. Front of Mika. Laz father didn't like this he didn't like Laz standing up to him or defying his orders so he would force it As he did a few handseals he would then place his hand Noro's shoulder. "Kira! Stop this now! I'm not joking this is...this is bad..." he said as his father would shift his gaze from young laz to actual Laz. "I know your there Laz." Laz would stop shouting for kira to stop it he knew very well his father was seriously talking to him. How? He remembered this when he his father placed his hamd o  his shoulder and said he knew he was there something laz never got but he finally got it. A genjutsu to be able to cross time..that was something only his father could do....

"Kill her and you will be free~" those very words and the screams and shouting and blood would probably break the kid laz but the genjutsu wouldn't allow such a thing because one it was made to Noro as it was a nightmare and two, he couldn't control his actions making it seem less realistic but it was very real as he would take a kunai and stab Mika continuously over anf over missing her vital points on purpose until she stopped fighting back and was just smiling with as young laz stopped. Why smile? What was she thinking that made her smile at a time like this? The reason she was smiling was for laz's sake to show she wasn't afraid to die....something Laz would pick up and live his life like hers. Smiling away the pain..something laz did often. 

The memory would shatter as not kira would be standing in front of him. He was in a dark void with the man he so hated the most, the man he wanted to kill the most. Laz was clearly on edge as he wasn't sating anything as his tears would stop falling from his eyes as they would they freeze. "Such a sad thing, a very sad thing to see my son like this...that's why I offer you saving...to forger the pain and emotions. To forget about Mika. All you have to do is accept and then I'll just say the magic words." He said as he would place his hand on Laz's shoulder. "So do you accept? "

Laz couldn't reply he was too scared and sad to. But he would begin to feel his mouth open slowly , he would hear it and feel the word "No" to come out nut would stop.
