Going Numb [NK]

She felt the last few bits of energy flow from the boy's lips, his power flowing into her in near abundance. It tasted delicious, warm sharp, sending a tingle strait down the girls spine. She felt the familiar pain spreading through her chest as her body reacted violently to the boy's gift, the new element sending an intense burn through the entirety of her body to assure her that it was finished, and as she did she stepped back abour three meters. "Now.... Color Course change. " Her body would glow with a soft white light as the jutsu activated. She had little fear of these two actually breaking through her color course change, even as one of the boys spoke to her. His words would be something to handle after this important task she thought to herself as the ribbon like scrolls surrounded her, protecting her from harm while shifting her to her newest body. The earth body would house this power well she thought. 

"Now we're talking. You, child of yuki with so much failed potential..... you speak strength. I do however expect you to back it up. In order to fight a demon you must be willing to become what you hate, to live and breathe this coruption and understand exactly what it is you plan to kill. " She would toss the boy with the strange arms his equipment and money back, an almost cruel smile slipping across her soft red lips. "Welcome to Koukan Kid. You will train your new student, " At this point she motioned to Mugen expecting no argument from either. "And you two will become strong. If you cannot gain strength in your own right together and with my training then you will prove strength later as a vessel for my execution by kiss. Whether in life or death you will see the strength you wish for...... Tell me, each of you. From what clan do you belong. What powers might I expect to see coursing through that blood of yours.... And dont lie.... It would make me upset. " 

In emphasis she would set the weapon across her shoulder, the enormous scythe flowing well past her body as if stretching to touch the ceiling itself. This was what she saught. This was the passion she'd had so long ago. In this boy was held the will not just to survive but to flourish.

Finally, Kiranomo had moved away from him, leaving Mugen to fall towards the ground, landing onto his knees. The awful scenes kept playing without his consent, and there was no way for him to stop it. He could hardly hear the words that were spoken, he could hardly think. There was just fire, fire. Everything was on fire, and he could feel the heat practically burning his skin, despite being in a tundra in reality. However, there was no pain from the burning, it was just...there. Simply a sensation he could feel. He wanted it to stop. He didn't know why it couldn't stop. If only, if only she hadn't put him into that damned genjutsu. But, was it a genjutsu...? Of course it was, it had to be. There was no other explanation for the things that occurred to him mere moments ago. He would have been okay if she hadn't come.

It was then his ears managed to catch her final request. She wanted to know which clan they were from. No, he didn't want to tell her. He didn't want to tell her crap. She could go and die in a hole for all he cared, or maybe she could be decapitated, and he still wouldn't care. Actually, he would. He would be ecstatic. After all, it was her fault these images were in his mind, images that refused to leave him be, so one could think of it as revenge.

Maybe he could play her little game, and see where it would take him in the end. Maybe...

No, a familiar voice rang in his ears, yet it was unable to be heard by anyone else, Whatever you do, you are not to tell her anything.

Why not...? Won't it be fun, playing this game? Seems like it could pass time.

Stop being so idiotic and listen to me. You know how precious your dojutsu is, imagine what would happen if she knew of your origins. Think of what she would do.

Guess I'll just have to get strong enough to kill her.

Hearing no response from Kyokai, the boy decided he was given the green light. His eyes were still empty as he stared up to look at Kiranomo; nothing was held within the sapphire orbs, they gave no emotions, they said nothing. He was completely blank, with no hint of what he was to do next being given. Eventually, he opened his mouth.

"Fan," he said with no change of expression on his face, "Wheel eye, fan...that's the clan I'm from." He refused to use the actual name, for it always left a bitter taste in his mouth. Besides, he knew she would know of the clan immediately. Mugen kept silent for a few moments afterwards before rising to his feet, gripping the kunai in his hand tightly. He wanted to throw it at her, aim for her skull, but not yet. He would soon...but not yet. He just needed to be patient.

Laz would still be grinning at kira as she would return him his stuff. His fade would begin to fade away slowly however when she asked them for his clan a question laz would lile to have avoided best. He couldn't answer the question the truthfully if he ever wanted to because his orgins is really well sorta cconfusing depending on what he inherited from his father and mother. Before he could speak however he would hear Mugen tell kira which caught Laz completely of guard since he knows how Mugen feel about his clan thanks to their first meeting with that other uchiha guy...eh kakka? Whatever didn't matter he couldn't care less for someone dead and annoying. He had accepted kira terms and wouldn't go back on his word so he had to try and explain fully his blood's orgin.  "For startes I'll say it plain and simple, I can't tell you what clan I'm from because I don't really know myself and that's if I actually took up after my father. ..but my mother always told me some stories about hers. She always told me about how her clan was connected to crystal spirits, and taught me how to connect with them." He said as he would run his hand through his hair.."See said just mix water and earth chakra and then I would be able to use it if I'm successful but because of my father I never really tried. You said I had to become the thing I hated to understand and kill it earlier,  and if that's the case then I will gladly do so."

Laz would then sigh since kira had already figured out the whole metal arm and leg thing so he would unwrap since there was really no point in hiding it. "Kira if you really want to know what power is flowing through my veins I could have a chat with my father since he seems to be close and very close at that." He said the last part in a cold tone since he didn't like that idea and he expected that he wouldn't get out cleanly after the chat.  Laz truly began to actually to understand that last part when kira mentioned execution by kiss. "So that's what the kiss was for but we didn't die so that means you spared us." Laz would laugh again when he realized what had happened before he returned to kumo. "So I've been spared from death twice and now I owe you and that other guy grwat just my luck." He said as he would look at his Yuki headband and would then tie it around his arm. "Don't worry about that kira,, I still have my own goals so I won't fail you and as much as I would like to be kiss again it won't be my death." He said as he was still grinning.

"Uchiha." THe first word echoed in her mind, the memories flowing back to her without her consent. Her eyes filled with a rage unquenchable as the weapon slid from her shoulder at it's full speed of seventy one, the deep purple aura flowing from her eyes as she entered her demon stance. Her arm pulled back, her new power coursing through her veins for barelly a moment before the strange flame like glow disappeared and her stance changed completely. 

It would seem like the tension that had been building expenentially since the first words flowed from  her lips was gone in a split second, her posture more propper and her small form seeming taller then it was before. The hatred in her eyes dulled to a soft disdain, not kind, but not holding the intention to strike him down it had before. 

"You're brave little one.... I respect that, and as such I've saved you from the girl today. Be weary with those eyes. Your path will be different then your friends if you wish to survive. Prove to her those eyes do not corupt. " As she spoke she formed a few hand seals, activating another jutsu of hers, a jutsu made just for this situation. A soft mist would flow through the cave, swimming around them, swirling up and over their shoulders, pouring past knees and snow caked boots and seeming to block anything else out but these three and the mist. "Allow yourselves access to this jutsu children.... And you will know the truth behind this girl who spoke so hastilly. I am the Demon of chance, and her story is quite similar to mine. " 

If they would allow the genjutsu to effect them, it's effect capturing all three and feeling like it only barelly clung to their consciousness, easilly breakable just by wishin to no longer be in it's hold, then the world around them would seem to change. The cave would disapper into blackness, Trees seeming to sprout up around them from within the void. They stood now in a large dirt ring, recognizable to any who'd visited as the training grounds of the village hidden in the leaf and there before them a sad sight would be seen. A tiny girl, perhaps only eleven or so said in the dirt, her face beaten and bruised nearly beyond recognition. Her long black hair was singed on the ends and as she struggled to draw breath the second figure came into view. Another young child, not quite a Genin yet stood over her, walking forward slowly. His red eyes glared down at her, matching the intensity of his cocky smile. his clothes would be standard faire for an uchiha, all black uniform with the clan's fan on the back, nearly indistinguishable until the three looked upon his face. The boy was without a doubt.... Echo Uchiha. 

"Come on little hyuuga girl... Where are your eyes. " He spoke kicking dirt into her face, causing her to cough and sputter. Behind him a few of the other children laughed chanting rudenes and slurs. "Kiranomo the only hyuuga with no eyes. The failure of the hidden leaf village" On and on the words would come, piling up until it felt like the very air echoed these slurs, comments about her inability, assurance of her patheticness, and cruel dark laughter. THis is when the image would break and they would be returned to the cave. 

Amber turned her eyes to the other boy, a smile finally breaking her emotionless facade. "Sounds like you have access to the first hokage's mokudon..... I believe thats what they called it at least. Train it. We will need it's strength once you're ready to give this gift. Along with Kira's protection you will have mine. If she turns blade against you I will step in. Just call me your guardian angel. " 

As she spoke she bent down, touching her knee against the ground. her hand rose to set against her chest, Her right arm wrapped around the snath of Sorrow of humanity. From her fingertips a bright energy, deep white with small hints of yellow, began to flow, sinking into the new body she'd summoned. The earth body, she thought to herself, would house this lightning element of her students quite well. As she began flowing the power she noticed the few lasting twinges of pain left over from her main body's issues with this new gift. The lightning element had caused significant damage, though only temorary, leaving a lasting tingle and burning sensation in her muscles. "This girl..... it's remarkable that she has yet to kill herself with this. She knows her blood rejects anything but Suiton..." She spoke to no one in general, continuing to flow the strange bright energy seemingly into her own chest. Her eyes shifted color, from a bright fibrant blue to electric yellow for a moment, the pigment seeming to shoot downward the moment it filled the deep pools that would resonate her hopes and dreams. Like a jolt of electricity she could feel it flowing through her body, shooting down her neck, making the hair stand on end and sending a tingle down her spine that persisted long after the chakra had left it. It branched off, a small jolt unnoticable to the outside world seeming to spiral around the very bones of her arms, slipping like a hot knife through butter through her flesh and circling the apendeges one by one. When they reached her finger tips a small flash could be seen, the lightning element sparking out of her body to arc backward into the strange metal bracelet like edging of her under armor. 

It spread across her rib cage, filling her with power and making it hard to stay still. Her eyes slid shut for a moment. This feeling was extacy. Amber had forgotten in her time seeking shelter what it felt like to gain magnificent new strength. It was exciting, making the heart pump precious lifes blood faster and faster through her veins, warming the skin and making her body feel light as a feather. 

    Finally it targetted the last area, slipping through her hips and down her thights. As with her arms she could feel the chakra like an electric current running through her muscles, tracing the edge of her very bones as it followed the path to grounding, slipping down her calves, around her heels and finally into the earth below. It was then that she looked to the two again, assuming they hadn't decided to do something idiotic. She was certain they wouldnt. Unlike the high strung girl Amber had gotten over the pain of torture. let her past go, and allowed it to strengthen her instead of fueling hatred and causing her to shy away from the light. With her absorbtion done she would let off a light glow of yellow, a smile slipping across her lips. 


"Now... With my lightning element trained fully.... would you two like to start training to survive? As.... High strung and dark as the girl seems she has one thing right. If we want to defeat youka and the akatsuki, the people who destoryed OUR village..... We need every member ready. You. " She pointed to mugen, her smile only grown larger as she addressed him directly. "How would you like to make those eyes powerfull...."

Apparently, she had caught onto his words quickly, and the name of his clan managed to spill from her lips. He hated the sound, he hated having anyone speak the name, and he disliked thinking about it. He remained unfazed once he saw the weapon on her shoulder move from its spot, and he did not react to the way her arm was pulled back. However, he did raise a single brow once Kiranomo had suddenly paused, the only change on his otherwise blank face. She was talking again, but this time it was as if she was a different person. To say the least, it made him slightly perplexed. The mist building up around them only sent the boy further into the realm of confusion.

Truth...? The one worded question rang in his head as he let the genjutsu take effect. The environment around him proceeded to change one last time, and he was soon able to see a small girl in front of him, around his age in fact. Next, he saw another individual appear, however it was someone he recognized. It was the same man who he had met in Takigakure, with the other yukigakure shinobi, except he was obviously younger here. Eyes. Hyuuga. Did the Hyuuga clan have access to shadow techniques? He did not believe they did, as they were mostly known for their byakugan, but it was a strange possibility. But, what was even more strange was the fact she was unable to unlock her kekkei genkai.

The genjutsu was then shattered, and they had returned to the cave, where it seemed...a light show, in Mugen's eyes, would take place. He had to slightly squint and use his hand to cover his eyes so he wouldn't be blinded, and perhaps take a step back from the sight. Once it was all over, he was about to let his hand rest at his side, only to be met with a question. Rather, two questions, one of which he would not like to answer. He felt the strong urge to snap at her, and simply walk off and away from the cave, to be alone and do his own thing. However, he had to stay. He had to continue playing the game.

"...Training sounds nice..." he mumbled in response as he held the kunai in his hand tighter, trying to ignore the last question he was asked.

When kira had uttered the words uchiha and then went into attack mode he would begin to move a little closer in front of Mugen putting himself in between the two. He really didn't care what was happening and ecen though Mugen was an uchiha he was still his friend. Gritting his teeth he would prepare for tge worse which never came as the woman had stopped in her tracks. In that second the powerful murderous killing intent he had felt faded away and was replaced by a new air.Kira would then speak of something random and weird so laz didn't really get why she was talking in third person but he did feel like speaking up in Mugen's defense.  "You got it wrong about this shrimp" he said in somewhat in a joking matter which indicated at least some part of laz was still there.  "Mugen going corrupt will never happen,  he isn't like other uchiha and well from a person who hates uchiha and I guess to another this guy is alright by me." Laz said with all his might to not and try to laugh at such an idea of Mugen becoming corrupt.  "If anyone would be a candidate for becoming corrupt I would say me after all" he said that as his smile would quickly fade away. He wasn't paying much attention to kira hands when she did the hand seals for the genjutsu but it really didn't catch laz off guard but he was sorta tired of sad depressing flash backs and frankly it started to piss him off but he would allow it. He would watch the young girl who he assumed was kira have dirt kicked in her face by such and arrogant cocky bastard of a uchiha he really reminded him of Naka oh yeah hid name was Naka! As the jutsu faded they would  once again be back into the cave. Laz would take note that kira was a hyuuga and for some reason couldn't use her byakugan and she had access to the nara's clan kekkia genkai  instead which he found. Laz focus would then return to kira once she mentioned something about the first hokage. "Wait did you just say first hokage? Then that would mean...I'm a..Senju" Laz said in a low tone as he was trying to figure put what this mean and in return it answered some questions he didn't want to ask his father. "So that's why I hate uchiha...because its in my blood as the rival clan of the uchiha." He said as he began to smirk as he would look at Mugen. "So in a sense we are rivals" Laz said to Mugen.

"Ah well anyway I wasn't really expecting to train but if all you said was correct,  with your help I would have enough power to kill my father and probably a demon, this seems interesting. ..so kira sensei I will leave it in your care to turn me into the demon my father ever so wanted me to be. " He said as he would prepare himself for whatever he was about to face all while humming the tune of , I'm so excited.

"Excelent. " She performed the summoning jutsu, a few seals and a drop of blood calling her summons from the Fae. Before her stood Daruku and Shuurin, the two princesses of the high Fae. "THese are my summons, the first step in testing your skill. Choose your opponents and fight hard. I've found the best way to increase your jutsu pool is to be forced to use new tips and tricks. WHen adrenaline flows you think less of how to screw up the seals and more about how to survive. 


"We are ready" They spoke in unison, Shuuring slipping the bow from her back to hold it downward towards the sand as Daruku's hands set at the two shieths, a mystical energy slipping from the metal at her sides to form into two fae wild daggers.

The rival remark caused him to tilt his head to stare at Lazuru, and once he did, a small smirk began to form on his lips. However, it did not reach his eyes. Certainly not this time, for it seemed to be forced. He gave his friend a curt nod before facing Kiranomo, or the one who currently had control over her body. He didn't mind being tested as it didn't occur often. In fact, the only test he ever had was to become a genin, and even then it was more of an actual battle than a test. Though, he still had his suspicions about that day due to his opponent being somewhat similar to Kiru, with the cape and all...

"Hm...choose our opponents?" he questioned, raising a single brow, "So you're going to be assessing our individual strength? Well isn't that sad, I was hoping to show off our co-operation..." He looked between the two summonings, staring at the weapons they had equipped while stealing glances at his own every few seconds. Should he pick the long range one, or short range? He thought for a moment, before lifting up his kunai and pointing it at the one with green hair.

"I'll take you," he stated impassively, and barely a second after he did, the boy was leaping back, and stopped 8 meters away from his new opponent. However, as he was gaining distance from Daruku, the boy was forming a set of hand seals. Dragon → Tiger → Hare. He had kept it at the last hand seal, leaving the jutsu ready for use whenever he needed it. And there he stayed, watching the summon intently, waiting for her to make a move.

Laz was stretching out his arms and legs before he decided on who to fight,  there was a one with daggers and the other with a bow. When Mugen mentioned Showing off their teamwork skill Laz would smirk at that statement. "Ah I guess we could still show her what we can do therefore we can make this two vs two." He said as he would then remove his jacket.  "Either way I still get to test out how good this arm is." Laz said as he would also jump back 8 meters."Yo Mugen feel like playing tag" Laz said as he would ready himself for the fight that was about to start.


He looked over the two summons closely trying to figure out a way take both of them out. "Sure our individual strength might suck but if we work together we might can actually win." Laz thought to himself as he would look around the cave trying to find ways to use it as an advantage. "I wished I had time to learn an earth jutsu ." Laz said in disappointment. So far the only person as of threat because of their distance was the one with the bow which could be a good or a very bad thing. "Should I draw out a plan?" Laz asked mugen as he would squat down as he would begin to draw little things in the sand. "I can't use that idea on shuurin but it might work for the other."he said as he would discreetly grab sand from the ground. "Wait I got one when I say tag or you we switch opponents." He said as he would stand holding the sand tightly in his fist. He would only say this loud enough for only Mugen and him to hear.

"It would be unfair for the fight to be two on two.... I'm sure you'd understand" Daruku spoke, her lips curling into an almost sinister sneer as she glared their direction, her eyes shifting left to right slowly as she spun the twin daggers now in each of her hands. She considered having some real fun and poisoning them but..... That would never do and Kira would inevitably be quite upset. Kira formed the hand seals a final time for her mastered shadow imitation jutsu, setting up a protective barrier just.... in case. The shadow shot out from between her legs, splitting to connect to her two summons but allowing full range of movement.

"It would? B... But wait... Wouldn't we just beat them into the ground sister? I don't understand. I mean we've been fighting together for... oh!!!" As usual Shurin was late to the sarcasm party, taking Daruku's words which were spoken with an air of weakness to suggest they would be at the disadvantage exactly as they were given instead of recognizing the look in her eyes suggesting this to be a trap. "Oh right. Yea you'd um like... Totally wreck us and stuff. It'd be horrible!" She bounced back and forth excitedly, the bow rocking like a metranome until one of them bent down to draw in the sand. The string would be pulled back and fired, a brilliant beam of blue light cutting through the sky at a speed of one hundred to stick into the ground just inches from his finger unless stopped. "Now now..... We arent planning.."
