Ground Zero (Io Levi Sin, CoRin Kura)

Li shot up from his caught as soon as he felt himself slip into consciousness. Today was the day, THE day! The day that the rain ninja finally broke through to the center of the village. Who knew what glorious treasures there were to find? Only one way to find out! Li jumped to his feet, strapped some shoes onto them. Threw a black rain coat on and bolted for the front door of the store. He didn't want to wake his squad up before they were ready. They need all the sleep they could get to be prepared for this baby! And Li? Li needed no preparation... for Li was born ready.

He'd head up to the road they'd been clearing. They were so close to breaking through to that other side that he could almost taste it. mmm Cement. Yummy.

He knew his squad would be behind him shortly. They all knew the game plan. They all knew what they were doing. And most importantly they and the will of the village sprouting inside of them. The time for scavenging was over!

Now it was time to Build!

Levi awoke inside of the grocery store which was weird considering he fell asleep somewhere in the jungle unless Corin had carried him here which he highly doubted. He could have been sleep walking but that was also debatable.  Either way he was in the store and awake. Seeing the sunlight meant it was a new day and therefore today was supposedly the big day. What was so big about today? Well in truth it was supposed to be Ame's Number 1 and certainly only team going out and clearing the rest of the road to the center of the village seems sorta easy? No bandits or mutated turtles and rats. Grabbing his red jacket and zipping it half way up to his body he would grab his bookbag and skateboard and went after Li who he saw went outside. 

Once reaching behind Li he would notice Corin was not with him which means she was still sleep or out doing whatever it is she does aka "Justice Stuff " So it was just the three of them going?  A good chance for team bonding and maybe Levi could find something of use inside maybe even in the kage office but this was a big area to clear and just the three of them on this supposedly dangerous mission what was really the real danger in this? "Yo, Li" Levi said as they just stood around waiting on Corin to show up so they can start as soon as possible. "So today is the day? We go storm the center of the village, Great this should be easy right?"

Li took a final look at the wall of rubble that lay before him, he had a plan! After that he turned over to Levi and gave him a smile. "Hey!" He announced with a flick of his hand. "Good to see you up and early. Yeah I'm not expecting anything we can't handle. There shouldn't be anything there really. Well that's not true there should be lots of treasure." He sat himself down on a flat piece of rubble. 

He fixed the read hair boy with his pupiless stare, and gave a slight nod. "I'm sorry we had to meet the way we did Levi. I feel like we'd be closer if I hadn't locked you down like that." He let out a soft moan and let the stress that'd been building up in him for the last month just flow out of him. "I'm glad you decided to stay though. Not just because the women here would drive you crazy, but you seem like a good guy. And You're going to be a powerful ninja one day if I have anything to say about it."

He'd crane his neck back and take a look at the ruined city behind him. "We're not too far now. I can feel it. You give me until the end of the month and this place will be called a village again."

Levi faintly chuckled at Li when he mentioned staying for the women which would instantly put Corin in his mind. It was true Levi was bonding with Corin and was hanging out with her ever since she tried to arrest him for taking an apple. Li on the other hand was different,  he really didn't know a thing about him just that he wanted to restore aim and make it better than before. Wow maybe he did just stay for Corin but he had a promise and he would do his best to fulfill it with everything he got. Li was different then most people he meet there was a certain light about him that proved this. He didn't know how Li is able to stay positive like he is , he didn't know how he was so calm. "Thanks...but the other day the thing with Corin and Aios..Someone might have gotten heart or worse if you didn't show up...and all I was able to do was stand there and watch..."  He had never said anything about it that day but it bothered him the most. "I wanted to protect Aios but at the same time wanted to protect Corin and if. ..if someone was hurt it would have been my fault..don't tell Corin I said that she'd probably say she didn't need protection but I was scared...I was scared in losing one of the few people I could call a friend. "

Levi would sigh knowing he probably shouldn't have brought up that whole ordeal but he wanted to make his point clear that he wasn't fit for things like that..decision making. If levi was good at anything it was showing his weak side which could be bad for multitude of reasons. "Yeah deal, Till the end of the month. Now where is Corin? I'm ready to find out what this treasure is."
