finally back (NK)

It was finally time, she thought as she passed the great gate of the village hidden in the leaf. So long she'd spent in hiding, fearing for her life and the multitude that would be dead. For years she'd waited, living off the land and hoping to catch a stray ninja with news of konoha. She worried of her family, of her clan, and more importantly... She worried for the terrified girl who had once been her best friend. How many years had it been? it felt like a decade or more. Her eyes scanned the streets, the long flowing black cloak hiding most of her body. Thankfully the guards, who she hadn't actually recognized, had allowed her passage with a flashing of the head band that set tied at her hip, a glint of silver against the deep dark blue form fitting armor that had been her only protection against the wild woods of the fire lands. She allowed her mind to calm, the hair on the back of her neck well on end though hidden beneath the shimmering black fabric that concealed her face. The wind blew softly, bringing the sweet smell of the yamanaka family flower shop across her senses. IT was brilliant, light and floral, just a little sweet, exactly what she'd remembered of konoha. She concentrated her vision ahead for a moment, allowing her clan's powerful eyes to focus, though she'd not quite gotten the hang of them yet. She was as to her other half in that regaurd, not truelly understanding the things that made her a ninja. Time had only encouraged this further however. To unlock the eyes within the deadly borders would have been a death sentence, and so she had forgot about them, counting down the days with short lines of soft earth scratched with small bits of stick she'd gathered, kindling for the small but cozy fire within which she cooked wild rabit. It's taste was gamey but nice.

The years spent in hiding felt like nothing now that she was back, enjoying the buisy Konoha streets. things were definitely different. She leaned against the corner of one of the tall wooden buildings, smiling excitedly for only a split second before the emotion disappeared beneath her emotional mask.

"The old barbeque shop. It's still here. Maybe they failed... Or succeeded far too well. " She needed to learn about the village she'd been been away from for so long. It excited her more then she could say. She felt a twinge of pain in her temple, her eye sight going fuzzy for a moment. "wh... what is this..." The burning seemed to increase slowly, like a knife sliping through skin. Her knees buckled, bringing her down to the earth below far too quickly. Padded knees hit down first with a soft thud, followed by her body shifting forward. Her palms touched down a bit softer, but another groan left her lips. Still the pulsing pain filled her senses.

"AH.. ARg." She stiffled a groan, her teeth clamping down a little too hard on her lower lip. A warm metalic taste hit her tongue, causing her to cringe. Too much. She was bleeding, but it didnt feel like much. "What...What is happening." This wasn't the place for this. Had her body finaly given up? Was this the end... Or was this the begining. It hadn't even hit her until her vision cleared... No. More then cleared, that this was not a curse or the end. This was the begining of her life and the power of her family's greatest gift. Now calmed she brought a hand up to wipe the small trail of red from her lips, a grin slipping across her lips. Finally. The gift of sight. She studied the world around her anew, searching the street far past where she would normally have been denied. Her vision was a crystal clear portal all the way down to the great kage building. "This.. This is remarkable.... these eyes... they're remarkable." The power contained in her doujutsu eyes sent shivvers of excitement flowing through every inch of her skin.

"I... I should... I dont know. Maybe visit the Kage... Who even is the kage now.... Maybe I'll just wait. " she scanned the world around her, taking note of faces that seemed so simple before. Each now was in miraculous vision as if she'd been blind for twenty three years and only now was given the gift of sight anew. her breath came in quick bursts that she attempted feebly to slow. In. Out. In. Out. Her heart, which felt like it would race from her chest was finally calming down, the rapid pulsing in her temple becoming more gentle with each passing moment. This would definitely be a good day.

She pushed herself up, seting one palm against the warm earth for balance as her legs propelled her upward slowly. Her feet found their setting more easilly this time, the power of her blood seeming to pour through her entire body. What would she be able to do now? She'd always wanted to learn the gentle fist style. Well.... She'd learned it... sort of. She knew the strategy behind the style would be more accurate. her mind was brought back to the old days, her and her other half as mother always called her. Practicing out front of the grand Hyuuga dojo for hours, giggling and fighting strike after strike to hit the open air. She'd studied the aincient texts, listened to stories and lectures. she'd learned everything she could with the girl at her side, though neither seemed to truely possess the eyes. Now, with proof of her heritage she would be able to begin. Two firm steps propelled her from her possition out of the way and forward into the walk way, the main street that led to the kage's building. She would need to train. Perhapse she could find someone to help. Otherwise she'd head to her family's district and work on the way of the gentle fist alone as she had for so long.
