Clone Jutsu

Salzem was sent outside in the training yard with a scroll dictating what was needed for the clone jutsu. He was not the most interested student in his class when it came to lectures but he did pick up on a few things. The trick is dividing your chakra outside your body the teacher had said. You must get it just right or your clone will come out... wrong. Salzem sat cross legged on the earth below him, opening up the scroll. It showed the three hand signs required to preform the jutsu: Ram, Snake, Tiger. Salzem got up after memorizing the three signs and smacked his hands together in the form of a seal used to build chakra. Ram, Snake,Tiger! Poof! Smoke flew from the ground next to him. When it cleared, his clone looked like something out of a war zone with distorted features and ragged, baggy clothes. Salzem let his focus break and the clone disappeared. He smirked a little at the clone's unfortunate state before it disappeared. He sat back down and studied the scroll again. Did he mess up the signs? No, he couldn't have... "Alright, lets try that again." Salzem muttered before focusing his chakra again. He tried visualizing himself, giving him a shape to strive for like in Transformation. Ram, Snake, Tiger! Poof! another cloud of smoke appeared next to him. This time, it looked more like him, with exact features and the like but still more haggard. Salzem was getting frustrated at this point. What was he doing wrong here? He didn't understand it. Salzem referred back to the scroll. handsigns, Chakra amount, hmmm... Salzem let his focus slip once again, causing the clone to disappear once again. He sat looked at the scroll but this time, his eyes fell on the section of chakra amounts. It had a little diagram to show how much chakra would be nessisary for one clone. Perhaps Salzem had poured to little chakra into the clone? It would explain the starved appearance of it. So this time, he poured a bit more chakra into the jutsu. He focused harder than before and weaved the signs. Ram, Snake, Tiger! Poof! This time, when the smoke cleared, the clone was an exact copy of himself, face, clothes, body structure, all mirrored him. He stood and stared at his clone in wonder. He reached out to touch it but it disappeared when his fingers reached the clone. Well, he mastered the jutsu at least. He sighed. He felt a little drained but he moved back into the classroom to show his teachers what he had done. Salzem never really had the opportunity as school continued. The teacher had lectures, questions were refused, all he could do was take notes. Salzem waited patiently for the for his chance to show the teacher but his patience was slipping. He started to get a bit antsy, shifting his mask more than normal, doodling on scrap paper, mind wandering elsewhere. Finally, the teacher had called for a pop Test on Clone Jutsu. Salzem immediately snapped to attention, ready to show his skills. Salzem still had a while to wait yet because they were calling on people by order of seat. This meant Salzem was the very last one as he sat in the back right corner of the class room. Salzem waited, trying to focus on the clones themselves, trying to find flaws in their jutsu. He had little success as all the students seemed to have the jutsu down-pat. Finally, when Salzem was called, he stood in front of the class, eager to show his ability. He smacked his hands together and drew on his chakra. He weaved the signs. Ram, Snake, Tiger! Poof! A cloud of smoke blew out to the side of Salzem. When the smoke cleared, there stood a perfect clone of Salzem. The teacher looked over the clone as he did the others and scribbled something on his clipboard. School ended shortly after but Salzem stayed behind to ask the teacher a question. He approached the teacher which was behind his desk.
"Sir, did I pass the test." Salzem asked. The Teacher looked up for but a moment before returning to his grading of passed tests.
"You passed, Salzem. Now, head home or maybe you would like to help me grade?" The teacher didn't think Salzem would seriously consider his offer so he was surprised when he dragged a stool up to his desk. He looked at the pile of papers and at the teacher's expression Salzem shrugged his shoulders.
"I've got time." Salzem said, looking around for a pen or something. The teacher stared and then laughed. He handed Salzem an answer sheet and divided the pile of papers into two equal parts. The two sat there, grading papers until there were none left to grade.
