Getting Down the Clone Jutsu
Fri Jan 12, 2018 5:41 pm
During all of last week's classes at the academy, Suzume's instructor had been teaching about the clone jutsu technique. She had pages full of detailed notes that reanimated exactly what they did in front of her class. The instructor had each student attempt it before dismissal, to which Suzume embarrassingly messed up. In hopes that she would do amazing the next session the instructor had the students present their skills, she got out of bed to practice. Her notes were underneath other manuals in a disorganized pile. It took awhile for Suzume to find it. She moved the texts around until it appeared from the very bottom of everything. She sighed, getting distracted a little by this. Quickly, Suzume set all her books in a neat setting on a shelf and then opened her clone jutsu notes. After reading through all her notes once, she prepared herself to do it.
She began by making the hand signs, yet nothing happened. Giving it a few more tries, Suzume became frustrated that it wasn't working. She looked over her notes again, reading through the steps she had already taken. The hand signs were all correct. She knew they were ram, then snake, and lastly tiger. However, as Suzume would come to realize, she hadn't put forth the required chakra control to make a clone appear. Now, she sent her focus to increasing her ability in her chakra flow. Taking a deep breath to get rid of her frustration, she set her notes aside to do some chakra flow techniques.
Placing her finger tips lightly pressed against each other and standing in a comfortable posture, Suzume practiced pushing her chakra to her hands. Having done this enough, she got the courage to try the jutsu again. So, she went through the process all over again. She collected her chakra to her hands once more, and formed the hand signs for the clone jutsu: ram, snake, and tiger. This attempt worked, except the clone was a pathetic copy of herself. It looked like a low quality drawing by some pre-academy kid. The eyes didn't even have pupils, and its hands curved in a creepy and weird way. Immeadiatly Suzume cancelled her creation, feeling bad that she made it. She gave it a quick break, stretching out her neck and shoulders. That clone of hers had stirred up an uncomfortable vibe inside her. Suzume just had to make an at least competent clone to be satisfied with her individual training for today.
Going back to step one, she trained with chakra control once more. Instead of placing as much chakra as possible in her hands, she thought to try having the chakra evenly spread throughout her entire body. Now that she managed this for a little, she yet once again made the signs for the clone jutsu. It would be closer to success for this clone. It was even standing like a normal person, but didn't quite look like her. Somtimes it came out with different colored eyes, or a different hair style. She gave it try after try until the clone looked just like her.
Being happily suprised the she became good at the clone jutsu, Suzume took the rest of the day off. She had school the next day and needed for her chakra to regenerate, after all.
...........................
The moment came for Suzume to show off how much she improved at the skill her instructor assigned. After analysing how her other classmates did, she felt more confident. Her instructor called her up, and she stepped forward with a little nervousness as everyone was watching her. Before she let it get to her, Suzume did just as she practiced to form a clone that was pretty much an exact replica of herself.
