What's in a name?
Sun Jun 21, 2015 1:24 pm
The sound of whistling would echo through the otherwise quiet halls of the Mizukage's building. Takeo had only been here once before, and the last time he had destroyed a vault and broken a wall. As he passed by where all of that happened he took notice of the repairs. "Average." He commented on to nobody in particular as he strolled on by. As was second nature to him now, he viewed the entirety of the building through the gaze of his white eye, allowing him to watch the workers go about their business. A turn left and a short walk found him at the door to the chambers. He opened the door and walked inside calling out to the occupants of the room, if there were any, "Yo!"

Having been chilling in his throne, he still could not decide upon whether having a more tribal, stone throne would suit him or whether a nice, casual wheely chair would be more suiting to his needs. Regardless, he settled for the latter currently as he looked through random documents, though of course, that stopped not too long after the chakra signature of Takeo became apparent and had started to make it's way towards him. Deciding to brush the documents to one side of the aquatic desk, he folded his hands onto the desk as the door was pushed open, speaking gently as his needs had recently been satiated, "How was the search?"

Takeo didn't respond to the question for a moment, making his way across the room so he could sit himself on the window sill and gaze out the window. "I got as far as the Earth Country and found no answers. So, I decided once more to question the man of so many names. I wondered if during my absence perhaps you found an answer to my question." Turning his gaze from the window he glanced around the room. "I like what you've done with the place." He commented lightly.

Xyxer turned around once more, swivelling around on the little seat that many Kages called their throne.. or maybe it was just Xyxer, he was unsure on whether he had developed this mentality himself or whether the collective thoughts of the Kage he had served under had rubbed off onto him. The only thing he knew for certain was that his callousness and ruthlessness had been due to his own decisions, the Kage he had served under had been rather.. cowardly, in retrospect. His shoulders lifted limply before dropping back down to their usual position, "Names help to give ideas to symbols and ideals, I believe. The Abysswalker makes me seem capable of feats others are unable to accomplish, the Demon of Kirigakure, well.. it makes me seem.." He paused momentarily, looking down to the ground as he spoke again, only raising his eyes back to look outside of the window after he had finished the sentence, "Well, inhuman. A monstrosity. I've always found names to be a good way to let people know what you are. What you encompass. Did you ever get a nickname, Takeo?"

He listened to the answer. Takeo couldn't help but smirk, despite being around fifteen or so in actuality Xyxer was quite wise. Or perhaps he was just acting. Still, it was a convincing act. Ideas to symbols and ideals. It was a reasonable answer, yet it felt Takeo unsatisfied. He would have delved further into thought on the subject, but thankfully he was saved from such a situation by Xyxer asking him a question. Takeo shrugged lightly in response, "As far as I'm aware I never had one." He frowned thinking back to the time when that mouthy boy had questioned who he was. "Then again, it seems as if my name wasn't well known even in Tengakure. That annoying brat didn't know of me for example."

Spinning on the wheely chair, Xyxer listened to what Takeo was saying and found the corners of his lips curving upwards in the form of a smirk. He shook his head a little, looking down from the window to the scurrying people below hidden in the mist. He admired them, in a weird way. They had something he could never have. Turning his head back towards the boy beside him, he spoke simply, "I do believe you have a nickname, your acts dictate who you are. You're the Usurper." He paused momentarily, allowing his smirk to form into a grin, "And maybe dickhead, but that was mostly behind your back. You were a very obnoxious chuunin."

His fingers tapped gently against the window sill, a steady beat as he awaited the response from the boy in his chair. Smirking in amusement when the boy spun around Takeo listened to what he had to say. A short laugh escaped his lips at the words. "And what would that make you? The Usurper of the Usurper, yet another name to add to your ever growing collection. Nice eye-liner by the way."

Xyxer allowed a chuckle to escape from his lips, but it pained him inside. He rubbed his hands across his eyes momentarily as if he was wiping away tears, but it was him cursing the gods. God damn you, scientists of Tengakure! You never said on the package of NOMCRAP that it could genetically change your appearance and give you a permanent tint of blue around the eyes! Now Xyxer was cursed to look like a lady boy for the rest of his demonic career! Regardless, he shrugged with a smirk, "I usurped at the same time as you too, don't forget. I simply held onto the power more effectively, if I do say so myself. Say, what do you plan to do now, with all of your power and yet no tasks?"

Takeo watched as Xyxer rubbed his eyes, perhaps the comment on his eyeliner had made him cry? It seemed he was sensitive about the subject, Takeo made sure to avoid it in the future. He didn't want to hurt his dear friends feelings after all...well he did but not right now. "And what a fine job you did with the power. You were Kage for about a week before you were packing up and moving to this lovely place." He quipped, continuing with the mindless drumming off the sill after being presented with the question. "Ah, I planned to just go explore the world for a bit. The name of all things, I'm not even sure if such a thing exists. Still, it sounds like searching for it could turn into quite an eventful gap year or two." A chuckle escaped his lips, "Why do you ask?"

"When a man feels his destiny pulling at him, he can only choose to follow as a humble servant of fate. My destiny was to rebuild the village that had been betrayed by the one I had aided.. I'm sure you'll understand what I mean sooner or later, the search for a name is a task of folly, not one that is of great reason." He smiled a little bit, looking out of the window to the skyline, realizing that in a twisted series of events, Xyxer had betrayed Tengakure himself, much like the Tenkage had betrayed Kirigakure, he was slowly becoming his own enemy. Shaking his head a little bit, he turned his focus back to Takeo, the corners of his lips tweaked upwards as always, "I have a task I'd like for you to take on. You did it voluntarily at Tengakure so I assumed you'd do it now, albeit a bit more.. Kirigarian. In fact, it's a shadow of what I have once done myself in the old Kirigakure." His eyes dropped from Takeo's, moving down to his wrist and hand as another thought popped into his mind.
