Taijutsu Training Spree! [Solo] Empty Taijutsu Training Spree! [Solo]

Thu Jul 23, 2015 2:29 am
Hikari smiled cheerfully, a hop in her step, as she headed to the training grounds with two books in her arms. She had recently gone to the library to find some new jutsu to train and master all by herself, without the help of someone teaching her how to do it. The jutsu she was going to learn today were not her first taijutsu, for she had already mastered the signature Eight Trigrams: Sixty Four Palms technique during a spar with Salzem, a Chuunin of Konoha.

As she entered the training grounds, she noted how the bird's melodies carried throughout the air all around her while a genlte breeze as blowing, dancing through her long snowy colored hair. It was still early in the morning, so there were hardly any people at the training grounds; just the way she liked it. It was easier to train when it was quiet and there were not distractions of everyday activies people would surely be doing. For now, Hikari just enjoyed her tranquilty. She set one of the books and all her belongings down by a nearby tree, only needing one of the books at the moment. She flipped through the book until she found the book marked page that contained the information on the move she was going to learn first.

"Okay, so the first taijutsu move I will be learning today is the Leaf Whirlwind technique!" She spoke aloud to herself, a habit she picked up as a child when she was all alone. It helped keep her calm and focused. "Let's see...this technique is one where the user launches a succession of high kicks and low kicks. Firstly, the opponent's evasion margin is restrained upon seeing the high kick, thus augmenting the chances for the low kick to hit the mark. So originally the high kick is little more than a feint. The user's speed and strength decide the amount of damage. This move sounds pretty useful, especially for a beginner like me!"

She set her book down gently on the grass and walked back a feet steps, giving herself some distance from the tree she had been under. "Okay so basically I do a high and low kick, but the high kick is actually a decoy for the low kick to have a better chance at landing. I need to be fast enough to trick my opponents and not allow them to see the second kick coming." She started wondering how she would train for a jutsu like this without an opponent. Then she came up with an idea.

Performing the ram, snake, and then tiger hand signs, Hikari used the Clone jutsu to create two mirror images of herself. "With these clones as my targets, I should be able to get this move down easier!" She was getting pumped up for training, and was happy she was able to quickly solve her dilemma. Now, time to see how hard this move is to perfect! I need to remember to be fast and sneaky!

She faced off one of her clones, using it as a fake opponent. Closing her eyes to focus, Hikari took in a deep breath, a little nervous for a taijutsu she has never seen in action before. All the Hyuuga taijutsu she has seen several times, but taijutsu other than those are mysterious to her. The idea of not using chakra to aid her bothered her as well, since she had grown up with chakra as the key to everything from medical ninjutsu to the Gentle Fist technique. Opening her eyes, determination flowed deep within her, replacing the nervousness she once felt.

She ran forward at her max speed, making it to the clone in no time. Then she swiftly kicked at the clone, aiming for it's head. It, being a clone, could not attack her but it took the kick without dissipating. Then Hikari aimed her low kick for the clones thigh area. It hit, but Hikari cursed herself for being slow. "A normal person would be able to see through that and block my kicks as if they were nothing! I need to do better this time!"

Hikari backed up, took a minute to cool down, and thought of how to get faster and smoother with the technique. Think Hikari, think! What can I do? If I aim my kick so I use both my legs, will that work? Like if I jump when I kick the first time and use my other leg to kick the second time? No, my kicks would probably be the same height if I did that. If I just retreat my kick faster, maybe I can do this! Man I wish I had a faster speed, then this would not be a problem! That is what I will work on next!

Believing she was ready to try again, Hikari ran forward and kicked hard with her right leg, aiming for the clone's chest. Then as her leg went through the clone, she quickly retracted it and aimed her second kick to the clone's knees. This caused the clone to fall down and dissipate, a major feat for Hikari. "D-did I do it correctly?! I better try it a few more times to make sure! I may even get my speed increased with all this training! That would be great."

She turned to face her second clone, thinking about what she could do next. Okay so I can try it again exactly the same or try to be even faster and more powerful? Let's do that! I can make plenty of clones so my training doesn't have to end so soon! She inhaled deeply and ran forward with all her might, adding a slight jump to push her forward, gaining momentum. Kicking with all her power at the clones shoulder, it her leg went through the clone. She quickly brought it back down and swung her leg at the clones shin. As the clone fell again and dissipated, she realized with much enthusiasm that she was getting better at the move, almost to the point of mastery. "I just need to continue training like this! I am sure to get even better if I do!"

I still have enough energy to practice quite a bit before I move on to my next taijutsu move. I will need to create a few more clones, which does not take much energy. Hikari performed the appropriate hand signs for the Clone technique and again created two mirror images of herself. She wasted no time in running towards one of them, ready to become a master of her new move. "Take this!" She yelled as she again jumped forward and kicked at the clone's shoulder. With a gleam in her eyes, she brought her foot back down and swung it lat the clones shins yet again. The clone did the same as the previous ones, proving to Hikari that she was getting the hang out the move and she found out how to make it work for herself.

Hikari decided to try it one last time, using her remaining clone. She ran forward like before and added her little jump near the end to give her the extra power she needed. Her kicks were aimed at the same spot each time, the first at the clones shoulder and the second at its knees. As the clone dissipated, Hikari walked over to the book she had laid down and picked it up. She closed it, not having any need for the other jutsu at the moment, and walked to her belongings. She sat down, placed the book by her stuff, and picked up the other book, her second taijutsu book from the library. "Next, after a short break for some water and maybe a bit of food, I will learn my second taijutsu move, the Leaf Rising Wind."

Taijutsu Training Spree! [Solo] Empty Re: Taijutsu Training Spree! [Solo]

Thu Jul 23, 2015 3:17 am
Hikari had the book on her lap, deciding it was best for her to start her mini break now. She pulled a water bottle and some food out of her bag, instantly going to take a sip of water. She had not realized how un hydrated she was until she stopped her training. As she drank, the cold liquid running down and quenching her thirst, she surveyed the area around her. The sun had risen higher in the sky and more people were gathering to train. At least I had my quiet time for a bit, but this is still nice. No one is too close to me nor are they being extremely loud. She put down her water and started nibbling on one of her rice balls she had made the night before, not wanting to eat too much but enough to keep her energy up. A breeze danced around her, keeping her body cool from her vigorous training. She thought the wind felt nice and hoped it stayed exactly how it was the whole day. Once she finished her rice ball, she opened the book on her lap and flipped to its book marked page.

"Let's see...so the Leaf Rising Wind technique uses the entire body as a spring, by amassing power through taking a posture where the back of the body falls down. With this powerful taijutsu, the user kicks just above the head. Because the power of the kick from the ground is instantly converted into a blow, the enemy hit with this attack will be launched high into the sky. I wonder how hard this is going to be. I don't even know if my kicks can reach that high..." She said, having an idea pop into her head. "Maybe before I start training this move I stretch and practice my kicks!"

She set the book on the grass and got into a right splits position, hoping to make sure she was even able to kick high over her head as the move required. Her right leg was able to fully touch the ground, so she was confident her right leg could perform the technique. Her lerft leg, however, was what she was worried about. She moved her body to be in the left splits position and glared at her left leg as it did not fully touch the ground. "I will need to work on that, darn my left leg!" Then she thought about doing the middle splits, just to see how flexible she really was. Her middle splits was not up to par with what she thought it would be, but it was not compltely terrible for it was two thirds of the way to the ground. "Note to self: I need to stretch more everyday. This is just a sad sight to see."

As she got up and dusted any grass off of herself, she wondered how she could start this technique. "More clones to practice on? Or should I practice on a tree because they are harder? Maybe I will try them both? Ughh I wish I knew what to do!" Even before she started training, she was already confusing herself. She hated that she knew nothing about a lot of things, like which technique was the best to use to train a certain jutsu or move. She decided she would practice with a clone first, since they are her height, and then she would think about changing it up to add dificulty to the move.

Performing the ram, snake, and tiger hand signs, she made two copies of herself just like with the other technique. Then she closed her eyes, imaging in her head how the move should look like. I need to put my weight and back toward the ground, allowing for my kick to have a powerful momentum as it hits my opponent above my head, which is not that hard to do. I will need to be fast about this, just like all the other taijutsu moves out there: speed is the key! I am worried that I do not have enough speed though...when I mastered the Eight Trigrams: Sixty  Four Palms technique, well I was not that fast but I did catch Salzem off guard and that was what helped me learn the technique. This time however, I have a silly clone that cannot mimic a real person...If only I knew someone who could help me, then I would not be having this silly dilemma. But who would want to get beat up to help me? No one.

Hikari reopened her eyes, a determined looking gleaming within them, and she decided to test how fast her speed was alone. She had read that these taijutsu moves give her body a power up, so she needed to see her base speed before she could imagine how fast the powered up speed is. She started running as fast as her short legs would take her, making circles around the tree she has been training under. As she ran and felt as if she were going faster, her body becoming more attuned to how the 'track' was and all the curves it had. After a good half hour of running, her legs started to feel like jello and so she stopped her legs and sat down, needing to take a moment to breath and drink some water, making sure she did not get dehydrated or over heated.

Once she felt her body was ready to continue her training, she stood back up and faced one of her clones. She felt as if she were able to perform the move, maybe not perfectly but at least decently she hoped. "Okay, just do what you imagined. You can do this Hikari!" She was pumping herself up, getting psyched for the move. Taking a deep breath in, she started running with full force toward the clone. She sent a feint punch its way, using that as a distraction while she did her main 'trick'. She leaned her whole body down to the left and used the un even weight to momentum her right leg to kick at the clone. This caused the clone to skid back a few feet, but it did not fly high into the sky like the book said it would. This disappointed Hikari, but she figured it could not be helped since she was just a beginner in taijutsu.

She faced the clone once more and ran towards it, realizing she had to get her foot to go up not straight, otherwise the opponent would not go flying into the air, allowing for another taijutsu move to hit them. she did the same distraction as before, and while her punch moved the clones arms upward -from force alone- she kicked with all her power at the clones arms. The clone flew upwards, but not as high as she had hoped for it to be. What am I doing wrong? Is it because this is a stupid clone?! Wait, Hikari breathe! Freaking out will not help anyone right now, I need to be calm and think this through. That is what a great kunoichi would do! She took a deep breath and exhaled, thinking through her options.

As she was thinking to herself, a man approached her with a big grin on his face. He had dark shaggy hair and enormous muscles. She could tell he was a Leaf shinobi by his village headband on his forehead. "Hello miss! I saw you practicing your taijutsu. Lucky for you, I am a taijutsu specialist by the name of Dan!" He sure is a very energetic and kind man, maybe I can spar against him using the Leaf Rising Wind move!

Hikari returned Dan's smile with one of her own. "It is a pleasure to meet you Dan, my name is Hikari. Yes, I am trying to master the Leaf Rising Wind technique. So far I have been using clones as my 'opponents'. However, they do not seen to be flying high enough into the sky. I cannot tell if that is because I am not strong and fast enough, or if I am doing it wrong..." She was worried that even a taijutsu specialist would not be able to help her.

"Do not worry my dear! Nothing can stump me! Why don't you try what you have been doing on those clones of yours on me? And do not worry about hurting me, I am a lot tougher than you may think!" As he said that, he laughed full heartedly. He really seemed to believe in his toughness and strength. Hikari was still unsure of using her technique against him, but he was a fellow ninja who was wanting to help her.

"Alright, here I go!" She rushed forward as quickly as she could toward him, planning to also use her diversion as she would do in battle. Once she reached him she aimed a punch with her right hand, causing Dan to instinctively block with his right arm, leaving him open to her attack. She brought her arm back down and kicked upward with her right leg, her body leaning back to add power to the kick. Dan let himself get hit with the attack and flew into the sky, only a couple meters. She straightened herself and waited to hear what Dan would say about her execution of the move.

"Hikari, I think you are doing just fine! You are so small that you can only send people flying a little bit, but this technique will still work perfectly fine! You can get people away from you with this move, especially if you keep that diversion too! They will never expect it, just make sure that you do not get your arm caught or else you will be at a disadvantage and could get into serious trouble! So keep your chin up and don't worry, you are an excellent taijutsu user! Once you get even stronger, your legs will be able to send people flying high into the sky!" He flashed her a toothy grin and a thumbs up, showing he thought she would be fine in the world of the shinobi. "I will be on my way now Hikari, I am glad I was able to help you with your taijutsu! If you ever need anymore help, I work at the Konoha Library whenever I am not out here training or on a mission!" With that said, he turned on his heels and started walking off, presumably to go back to his training.

"Thank you very much Mr. Dan!" Hikari shouted at his back, waving her good bye to him. She was thankful that he didn't teach her, he just reassured her worries and doubts about learning a rather hard move for her to do. I wish I was stronger though, being this little can sometimes be a hinderance! But I can't fix my height and I am already trying to work on my muscles! What if I perform this technique but my kick cannot hit them? I could kick them somewhere else and just send them skidding...that could work maybe...

She shoot her head, trying to get rid of her doubts about her short height and light weight. "Well since I have been able to master these two techniques, I should go take a break from taijutsu and maybe visit the hospital, after I grab some lunch of course! Training has made me super hungry!" She decided what to with the rest of her day since she would let her body rest before continuing her taijutsu training. Hikari picked up both her books, her water bottle, and her bag. Then she walked away from the training grounds, taking sips of water as she went. She felt content with the jutsu she had mastered and was ready to go to the Konoha Hospital and ask if a nurse would train her in the ways of Basic Medical Ninjutsu and Chakra Anesthetic.

Hikari was walking through the village, heading to her room in the Hyuuga District to drop off her books, pick up her medical book, and grab lunch before she went to the hospital. It didn't take long for her short legs to reach the Hyuuga District, as she had a pretty quick walking pace. No one seemed to be around as she walked to her room, she was okay with that because it meant they were training, doing a mission, or working. I cannot wait to show all my friends the new jutsu I have learned! They will be shocked!
