Training time!

Zennal made his way out and into the academy training grounds, as so he could train in some specific Jutsu. The techniques in question would be the Transformation technique and the Clone technique. He knew the difficulty of the transformation technique, so he decided that that would be the best option to start with. So, he made his way to a small puddle by the training dummies. As Zennal walked, one could here the squelch of the wet grass beneath his feet. He looked down and into the puddle, before making the first hand sign. It was a simple Jutsu to remember, it was a simple string of Dog Boar and Ram. His hands wrapped around each other to form the Dog hand sign. His Chakra began to shift, like a plate that someone slides on a table, around his body.

The Boar hand sign was next, which made his Chakra move again. This time, it lay just under his skin, solid and almost un-moving. He began to sweat a big, not used to having to control his Chakra this much. He was more into the theoretical stuff, anyways. 'Gah.' he thought 'If I can't even do this one Jutsu, than how could I even think of becoming a Shinobi?' So he continued, until he formed the final seal, the Ram seal.

Finally, this is when the Jutsu should work, in theory. Slowly, he began to expel the chakra bit by bit, a shimmer like a mirage being expelled from his body. He let go of the hand-sign, and he felt the image waver, but it held. When he looked into the puddle for his reflection, however, it was simple to see that he didn't do it right. Why? Because he was completely white. Solid white, no clothes or facial features, nothing. Just the outline of a person. He quickly dispelled the Jutsu, frowning at the puddle.

He sighed, and made a second attempt. Dog hand sign, and the Chakra slid into place. Boar, and it shifted just under his skin, and finally Ram to activate it. He felt the shimmer of Chakra from before, but when he looked into the puddle it was the same solid white silhouette as before. He frowned, as he thought what he might need to do to make the transformation work, so he could move onto practicing the Clone technique.He frowned, before leaning against one of the dummies.

'What could be going wrong... I have the hand seals right, and the Chakra amount should be good... then what could be the problem?' he pondered to himself as he stood there, looking around. Then it clicked. 'I'm so stupid, gah.' He made the Dog hand sign, before shifting into the Boar, followed by the Ram hand sign. He felt the shimmer of the Transformation technique come over him, and when he looked into the puddle, the face that looked back was someone else's. Some civilian he saw on the way to the academy training grounds.

Zennal grinned, before quickly running through the hand signs again, trying to pick up speed so he could do it quicker and quicker. He had to compensate slightly for his missing finger, but he would live. He smiled to himself, before sighing. 'It's only an E-Rank. Nothing to get excited about.' he thought before shaking that thought off 'No, I gotta think about it like I'm one step closer to being a Genin! Yeah, that.'

He sighed, before moving away from the dummies. He would need space for this one. The Clone Technique was a useful Jutsu, and he would have learned it even if he didn't need it for the exam. He went through the hand signs for the jutsu in his head- Ram Snake Tiger- before slowly making his way through them.

The Ram hand sign was first, and he felt his Chakra shift to the edge of his body, at first like the Transformation technique, before he had it focus on one point at the side of his body. Next, he went into the Snake hand sign. The Chakra shifted out of his body, almost all at once. It hurt at first, but he didn't complain. When it was outside of his body, he shifted into the Tiger hand sign, and in a puff of smoke... something that looked like a mix between a smoothie and a human body was left on the floor.

He sighed, and looked over the construct. It was a weird thing. When he poked it, to feel it, it went up in a puff of smoke. Zennal blinked, before shrugging. He stood back up, before making the Ram hand sign again, though this time he made sure his Chakra distributed to one side, and spread out. When he shifted to the Snake hand sign, the Chakra seemed to come out much easier, though next was the hard part. He formed the Tiger hand sign, and began to mold the chakra outside of his body. In a puff of smoke, a human appeared, but like the transformation technique, it was a white silhouette.

He frowned at this. He knew the mistake though, before slowly and methodically weaving through the hand signs Ram Snake Tiger. When the clone appeared, it was the spitting image of him, except it had the finger he was missing. He frowned at that, before dispelling it. He didn't feel like seeing that. 

In any case, he re-formed the clone, it being the spitting image of him now. He smiled, but then realized that it wasn't doing anything. He weaved through the hand signs again, thinking of a command for the clone to do. When it appeared, it jumped exactly three times, before playing rock paper scissors with him, it going in the exact sequence he thought it would. He grinned, before dispelling the jutsu, and stretching. Maybe one day he could find a way to combine the two jutsu, but that wouldn't be for a long while. For now, he had to just focus on graduating, and becoming a Genin.
