A Piece of Cake.

It was early in the morning when Kyzaba woke up. He was considered a prodigy for a reason and he was not going to let down his title. The Ninja Academy was not open for the day but the training grounds were available at all times. Kyzaba stood up from his bed and after changing into what he considered a comfortable shorts and short sleeves get-up, he sneaked out of the house, not wanting his parents to find out that he was awake at such an early time. I have to get stronger. He thought as he walked through the deserted streets of the village he loved and enjoyed the breeze that was coming toward him. He can’t wait to become a genin but he’ll need to become a lot more special than the other kids at the academy so he could be noticed more… not that he wasn’t noticed enough already. As he walked through the village, he decided that he would plan out the day’s training to ensure that he was as efficient and productive as possible. I’ll do thirty push-ups for warm-up. Then, I shall complete my transformation jutsu learning process before finishing up my clone jutsu training as well. Kyzaba thought with a gigantic grin on his face as he reached the training grounds with a mirror in his pocket and a bottle of water in his right hand.
Kyzaba got down to the ground as he prepared to get done the thirty pushups that he planned to do. He didn’t expect the task to be quite as challenging since he could easily do more than thirty push-ups at home. He didn’t think he was quite strong enough to complete push-ups with a rock on his back like some of the other stronger ninjas. He felt inspired and energetic… willing to do great and make some nice progress on his arm muscle via push-ups. Using his arms, he was able to slowly lift himself up and down repetitively for quite some time… but he forgot to count how many times he has done so. He was used to intense training and he wanted to go ahead and do as much push-ups as possible without becoming overly exhausted and tired. He could feel his muscles tightening and he knew that he was getting stronger and stronger each repetition that he was able to complete. After countless push-ups and his muscles becoming quite painful, Kyzaba sat down on the ground, quite exhausted after the period of intense exercise. Eh… I’m never doing that again. Kyzaba decided, hoping that his muscles wouldn’t stay painful for a long period of time after that day. Kyzaba sighed, before drinking the bottle of water that he’d gotten that morning, How lame. Kyzaba thought. Tasteless and clear. He really hoped that he would be an interesting person for other people in the future, unlike water. Now, Kyzaba got up and prepared to do the next training he had in mind… the transformation jutsu.
Transformation jutsu may be underestimated in the ninja world but Kyzaba thinks that it is a valuable ninja skill to be able to transform with complete control and utmost detail. The transformation technique is considered when of the most difficult E-Rank jutsus and Kyzaba honestly didn’t know why. He smiled, maybe it was because he is too advanced for such a simple jutsu. Nevertheless, practice is still required of him out of his parents and the villagers so here he was, practicing his transformation jutsu to prepare for the Genin exam which he was sure he would pass with most certainty. Kyzaba thought of what his father had taught him as a young child. it requires constant emission of chakra while mentally maintaining the form. He remembered as the image of his father doing the transformation jutsu with ease popped into his head easily. He sighed, one day he was going to be as strong as his father and hopefully, he will be able to reach a high rank and maybe even the hokage! His dream is to serve the village he loved with most certainty and I must grow as a person. He thought, determined and confident to get stronger. Kyzaba put his hand together and prepared the hand signs that will be required in able to complete the jutsu. With a smile, he started. Ram, Snake, Tiger! Kyzaba yelled in his head as he succeeded in doing so. Suddenly, there was a big puff of smoke as his jutsu turned out perfect… or at least he thought it had. Kyzaba looked in the mirror. He had attempted to transform into his own dad but looking at it, he wasn’t exactly accurate. Then, he gasped. How could someone like me make a careless mistake like this?! Kyzaba thought, not believing what he was seeing. He’d forgotten a scar on the inside of his palm. Not good enough. He decided, being the perfectionist that he was. At this point, the day was already starting, and people have started coming out of their homes. However, Kyzaba didn’t care, he knew that his parents wouldn’t find him missing until deep into noon as he really didn’t wanna return, knowing that he will never get over with the fact he didn’t master the E-rank skill on his first day of practice. He must get everything correct, be it that it takes him all day to do so. Once again, he put his hands together to get ready for some hand sign practice so that he would be able to use the skill to confuse people if need to be. Dog, Boar, Ram… Dog, Boar, Ram… Kyzaba continued thinking through his mind… He must memorize the hand sign to be able to use the jutsu effectively. Dog, Boar, Ram After about thirty minutes of non-stop hand sign memorization, Kyzaba stood up from the ground and attempted the jutsu once more, hoping that he would be able to get every single detail right. Dog, Boar, Ram Kyzaba thought as he performed the hand signs before seeing a puff of smoke in front of him. Hurriedly, he grabbed the mirror that he left on the ground before looking at himself. Every detail seems great. Kyzaba thought with confidence. But father will find the smallest flaw and teach me to fix it. He remembered and continued practicing some more from that motivational thought.
It was noon when Kyzaba finished practicing his transformation jutsu until he was truly sure with his detail and perfection. His stomach rumbled as a result of him having only water as any type of food item in the morning. However, his eyes glared with determination and his heart boomed with utmost confidence. One more jutsu! He yelled. Must continue. He thought as he stood up with strength and stubbornness. Let’s see… Kyzaba thought, trying to remember the details of clone jutsu and the hand signs as well. The clone technique is to create copies of one’s self in attempt to confuse the opponent. To Kyzaba, the clone technique is absolutely useless… Who would be stupid enough to fall for something as simple as that? Plus they can’t even attack. Kyzaba thought, unable to believe that he would have to practice this for hours so he could become a Genin. Kyzaba sighed as he went over the hand signs required of him next. He smiled as he remembered him memorizing the hand sign of clone jutsu for an hour yesterday… Kyzaba must do well on this exam to please his father…. “You are my pride.” Kyzaba remembered his father saying when he was still quite young. Anyway, one must not distract himself with other thoughts. Kyzaba put his hands together before thinking of the hand sign and repeating it in his mind multiple times to ensure that he could do it perfectly. He knew that he had the ability to do so and he didn’t want his parents to find out so after doing it perfectly once, he quickly got his mirror and water bottle to go back home. Along the way, he said hi to some of his childhood friends but he was in quite a rush and rejected a game of hide & seek which was incredibly fun since he was the only one who actually could use the transformation jutsu to transform into another appearance. Even though Kyzaba wins every single time, he didn’t mind at all… it wasn’t about who wins or not but rather about having fun and making friends. Kyzaba smiled as he approached home and thought about the clone jutsu hand sign once again before walking into his house where he found his parents in the kitchen. Uh-oh… busted. Kyzaba thought with a scared face when his handsome father, who was sitting in the kitchen table looked at him with a kind face wearing a wide smile. “Been out practicing eh? Come ‘ere.” His father said and Kyzaba did exactly as what he was told. When Kyzaba got close enough, his father petted him on the head. “No wonder you’re my son… a prodigy… my pride.” Kyzaba heard and his scared face turned into a wonderful face with a wide grin. There are the words again. Kyzaba thought. The same words he heard as small child.
Having been praised by his father, Kyzaba felt quite happy as he ate lunch with the cheery familiy. Not much people has the same fortune as him where one can live in such a cheerful and fortunately skilled family. Kyzaba considered himself incredibly lucky to be born in this family. There were rarely conflicts or arguments between both his parents… they were lovely and calm… just like he. He smiled as he finished his rice for lunch before putting the bowl into the sink of the kitchen and head back upstairs where he looked at the ninja manual before falling asleep after a tired morning of intense jutsu practice.
