Oren was walking in the shadows on giants trees and their leaves for hours. This village hidden in the leaves sure was hidden. It did not have a thick mist surrounding it, not a lake of crap or zombies guarding it, but it sure as hell did not make it any easier to find. Counting in his mind the rations in his backpack and how long he would last in this forest before he was in real trouble Oren continued to follow the path he was walking. It made sense if he eventually came to somewhere, right? People usually don't make paths in the forests for no reason, something worth walking to has to be at the end. Hopefully the boy will get directions soon enough.

Holding on to a tree, the girl’s arm quivered upon contact with the said tree. Biting her lower lip, she scanned the area before turning around and plopping herself down on to the ground, followed by a wince and a string of incomprehensible words. As she would lean back onto the tree trunk, Ayumi would close her eyes for a split second, licking her dry lips and sniffled. As her head tilted to the side, she opened her bleak eyes and examined the open gash evident across her left arm. Dancing around the deep gash were tiny cuts and dry blood stains. Her right arm was in a similar state; a small, but deep, gash, decorated with scratches and numerous other tiny cuts. Honestly, the girl was battered from the mission she has just completed; her opponents were weapons wielders, whilst Ayumi, having specialized in the medical and taijutsu fields, was more of a close combatant. Though she was able to defeat them, it proved to be a somewhat difficult victory considering the amount of damage she received before winning. It was a bit of a bother, but what’s done is done. The kunoichi sniffled once again and performed two handseals before channeling some chakra towards her right hand in order to heal her wounds with the Mystical Palm technique. Lifting her right hand up, she winced as a familiar pain shot up her arm.

The chakra surrounding her hand instantly vanished as she gently dropped her arm on to the ground. Ayumi tilted her head back. She was able to travel for a mile, dragging herself to this exact spot without too much difficulty, but she couldn’t even lift up her arm? The girl let out a sigh of disbelief and leaned back. Well, guess she’ll rest for a few minutes before healing her wounds. Should there be a predator close by, she made sure to keep her senses on alert. As of now, the girl would close her eyes and allow her body to replenish the chakra she had lost during the mission.

Any moment now, it will be just around this tree... No? Maybe the next one then. Thoughts of that kind were slowly swirling in Oren's mind as he was continuing through the woods. His naturally self-induced trance of walking would be broken with a tingling sensation. Stopping the boy would take the hood of his brown travel coat down and turn to his left, there was a chakra signature in that direction. A strong one. Among the strongest he has encountered, on par with the queen of puppets from the village hidden in the rain. It did not seem to move and he could not sense anything else around. Finding this rather intriguing the boy would step off the road and start making his way through the trees. Just to avoid some misunderstanding he decided to suppress his chakra and hoped he was not detected prior. Who knows what kind of conflicts could be raging in these woods, better not become a target for no reason.

After walking for a short while the trees would part and he would notice a form of what he found to be a young woman. She was at the base of a tree, apparently resting there. The chakra was clearly hers. Slowly walking up to the female he would notice her injured arms. The boy would stop a couple meters from her and see if she would react to him in any way, if he would be allowed to approach.

A few seconds into resting, the girl could feel a chakra presence coming from… the southeast of where of she was sitting. Keeping still, she continued to keep her eyes closed and pricked up her ears. The chakra presence isn’t too strong, but let’s not underestimate the stranger, shall we? As the chakra presence got closer, the girl kept still, hoping that the stranger would walk past her without bothering to do anything; He/she should just mind his/her own business, right? The stranger however, as if able to read her mind, decided to stop and was standing a few meters away from her. Ayumi suppressed a grunt as she carried on with her business, which was to sit still and replenish her chakra and energy. Should the stranger attack or approach her, the girl made sure to keep her senses on alert because... well, it doesn’t hurt to be ready to either defend herself or attack if the situation calls for it, right?

Two minutes passed and the stranger was still there. She was pretty sure he didn’t budge from his spot or if he did, she wasn’t paying enough attention to notice it. Letting out a sigh, the kunoichi opened her right eye slightly, glancing towards the stranger. It was a boy with tousled blond hair and judging by his appearance he was probably the same age as her, but she could be wrong. Gazing towards him, she opened her left eye and tilted her head to the side. Her head was now facing towards him, her eyes focused on the boy’s face. Questions such as “Um.. who are you?” and “What on earth would you want from me?” were racing through her head. It actually got to a point where she was silently shouting the sentence “I swear to god, I have nothing for you to steal!” in her head. Seems dramatic, but the kunoichi was dead tired which resulted in her not being able to think rationally. Silently watching him for a split second, she slightly cleared her throat before speaking, “Uh.. May I help you..?” Should the boy attack, the girl made sure not to let her defenses down. As of now, she will wait for him response.

God knows what compelled Oren to just stand there for two minutes until the girl responded to his presence. Her question made the vagabond smile rather widely, he almost burst into a laugh. What an interesting kunoichi. Her status as a ninja he deduced from the headband of the Hidden Leaf and of course the unusually strong chakra she possessed. "I'm not the one bleeding from both arms, miss." With that he would sit and ask. "Will you let me do something about that?" Of course, he meant her injuries. From his backpack Oren would retrieve his canteen. He would take a sip, then if she accepted his help he would offer the drink to her. It was water.

The girl raised her eyebrow as the boy smiled rather widely upon hearing her question. What was so funny regarding her question? Eyeing him up and down, she sat up straight. She should at least sit decently rather than slump and look like a tramp in front of a... visitor? Keeping her eyes on him, she perked up her ears as he mentioned her arms; her battered arms. Right... arms, bleeding, right now. For a split second, she had forgotten the fact that her arms were bleeding probably because both of her arms are now numb. Great. Biting her lower lip as he sat down, the boy would ask whether she would let him do something regarding her arms. Followed by the question, the blond would pull out a flask from his backpack and take a sip of whatever liquid it contained. Looking down towards the ground, the girl muttered, "No... no its okay. I can.. um.. treat the wounds myself." That was technically not a lie; she could treat her wounds herself, its just that she is currently slightly incapable of doing so.

The girl would then glance at him. Hopefully her answer would satisfy the boy and he would eventually take his leave. Should that not happen, she will just have to deal with it and find a way to heal her wounds herself, in front of him.

The boy's eyebrows would rise noticeably at her reply. "Really?" He was interested now. How did she intend to fix her arms? From the looks of it, she would have a hard time moving or using them. Being a ninja she probably knew some sort of jutsu for it. "Are you sure you don't want my help? I'm a student of the art and from the looks of it your arms will be of little use to you the way the are. If you are sure you don't need my help then I would be very interested to see how you treat them yourself." He would close the canteen but still keep it in his hands. At first he intended to use it to wash her wounds but maybe it will still be useful. He would have offered her bandaged if he had any with him. Some medical ninja he was. Well, he wasn't really. He was a self taught student of the art, just as he said.

The kunoichi froze upon hearing his words. Just as she thought, the boy wasn't going to budge. Instead of taking his leave, he asked for reassurance as to whether or not she wanted his help. Along with it, he mentioned being interested in seeing how she would treat her arms. The current situation is obviously not going as she planned. Licking her lips, Ayumi leaned back slightly before glancing at him. A part of her wanted to tell the boy to take his leave, but her manners wouldn't allow such atrocious behavior. After all, all the boy offered was help; he didn't try to hurt her nor did he try to take advantage of her current physical condition. Letting out a sigh, she balled her fists, hoping that her arms would behave themselves and follow her orders. Sure, they still feel numb, but that doesn't matter; all that currently matters is that they move accordingly.

Biting her lower lip, she slowly lifted her right arm. So far so good. Lifting it up all the way to her shoulder, she flipped her dark hair off of her right shoulder. There was a flicker in her dark orbs as the girl lifted her left arm. Somehow, the whole situation seemed a bit dramatic. Since the girl was pretty sure she wouldn't be able to perform the Mystical Palm technique in her current physical state (because holding her hand over the effected area is a bit too much to handle currently), she has decided to treat her wounds using another technique which wouldn't require too much movement and would be much quicker; this technique that she is about to perform, will require her to use the chakra she has stored at a point on her forehead for quite a long time. Due to having stored her chakra at a specific point/space behind her forehead, a violet, rhombus-shaped mark has formed on it. Fixing her white shirt, the girl brought her hand together and formed the Tiger seal. She couldn't feel her arms, but hey, at least she is able to move it without screaming in pain.

Holding the Tiger seal just a few inches away from her chin, the kunoichi closes her eyes. As she starts to partially release the chakra she had long accumulated in the mark on her forehead, black, rather curly, markings would form from the four sides of the rhombus-shaped mark. The markings would then travel across her forehead and down her cheeks. Having partially released the chakra needed to heal her wounds, the black markings would slowly disappear, giving the appearance as if it was seeping into her skin. The rhombus mark on her forehead, however, would still be in the exact same spot. From the boy's perspective, he wouldn't have been able to see the actual violet, rhombus-shaped mark, nor most of the black markings on her forehead due to her blunt bangs. The markings which appeared on her cheeks, however, would be visible.

Upon the partial release of chakra which she had stored in her forehead, the deep gashes and other injuries on her arms and the rest of her body would begin to heal; they would rapidly close up, revealing her usual fair skin. Turning her head towards the boy, she lifted her arms up, revealing the unscathed skin on her arms, "See?"

Lifting her hand away, she inspected her now unscathed arms. Getting up onto her feet, she glanced towards the boy before speaking, "Well... I have to go. If you happen to be heading to Konoha, it is just a little bit further down the path. So.. See ya, I guess." Or not, she thought to herself. Giving him a little nod, she started to walk off into the distance.
