Missing Pets

“Cats? You want me to search for cats?” Ryu peered from the request and at the other ninja assigning him the mission. “This mission is cake, let’s do this!” He read down the request and looked at the picture of each cat provided. “I saw some cats by my house dis-morning, I think I saw this white and orange one. Ryu took the pictures and ran back to his house. Once there he spotted an orange and white fur ball. “There’s one. Only four left to go. How hard can it be to look across an entire village?” Approaching the cat the genin grabbed the cat by the fur around the neck, he had read somewhere that it calms them. With the first feline in his position he returned the cat to the owner.

The second cat was fairly easy to find it was pure black and sat waiting just around the side of the house. “I think your cat came back on its own.” Ryu began walking towards the cat and it jumped quickly arching its back and moved away. “Oh, we have a runner. Got this.” Ryu hid on the opposite side of the house and using the clone jutsu he had the double run towards the cat which then ran directly to where the ninja was hiding. He knocked on the owner’s door and left the critter in their care. “Now if I was three cats where would I hide?”
Ryu began walking around the village seeing cats that looked similar to those he was looking for, but not the right ones. He stopped when he came a across the grey long-haired feline named Smokey. There were other cats with this one and scaring the one of the crowd, could scare them all off. So, the ninja decided to climb onto a nearby roof and get the literal jump on the animals. His efforts were successful as Ryu walked away carrying the third cat he was assigned to find. He returned once more to the home of the owners who had gotten used to the ninja handing them a cat, saying something odd and then throwing dirt on the ground, yelling “Smoke bomb.”

“Maybe four and five will be together and I can call this mission complete, nah that never happens.” After saying that allowed he noticed two cats chasing down a squirrel, the rodent managed to climb the side of a building while the cats being too fat just looked up at the thing. “Four and five are indeed together.” Ryu approached and attached a leash onto one of the felines while grabbing the other. They feebly tried to struggle, but to no avail the ninja was able to overpower them easily. Ryu fixed his sunglasses and knocked at the door one last time. “All of your cats have been returned, have a nice day.” He waved then walked away, returning to the person who had assigned him the mission. “Told you that mission would be cake. Here is something had the owner’s sign each time I returned their pet and here is the request.” For a ninja that always liked to joke and take breaks Ryu was certainly thorough when it came to paper work. “End of report.”
