Cas is Humbled (solo, p)

Castiel was the oldest student in the academy, and though most individuals would be bothered by practicing very low level techniques alongside children.  It however did not bother him as he had chosen to walk the path of enlightenment and did not thoroughly enjoy letting himself get worked up over pride and vanity.  He did not find these justu very difficult having been born into a clan of shinobi.  However, around the young students he would be as helpful as possible, teaching them the proper hand signs and stances to perform said jutsu.  Cas would stand near one of the youngest ninja there moving his hands in the proper repetitive movements.
 
"No, you need to perform the Ox after the boar, I know that it is kind of hard but it will become easier,"  Castiel would say to a younger ninja standing nearby on the grounds.  Castiel would be teaching the substitution jutsu today and well, truthfully partially learning it.  He had already gotten most of the general aspects of the jutsu down but it still required more work.   Castiel would watch and walk over to where they kept the practice logs stacked in a pile.  He would lift two of them and carry them over to where he and the boy previously were.  Castiel would grunt as the logs were fairly heavy and quite a burden to carry, he was not the most powerful ninja in the village by far.  Castiel finally carried the two logs back and tossed them down. 
 
"Now perform the hand signs. Very good. Now touch the log.  Good job kid, you got this.  Now you have the substitution."  Castiel enjoyed showing the kids how to do the simpler jutsu, it brought a smile to his face.  He could spend hours walking around them joking and laughing. 
 
"Alright, now I need all of ya ta line up o'er there," Cas commanded politely. "And make sure each of ya grabs a shuriken, imma show you how to execute the jutsu properly."
 
Castiel would take the log he had grabbed for himself and carry it over to behind a bush.  Kneeling he would perform the hand signs and touch the log.  He would then pop out from behind the bush and walk over to in front of the other academy students. 
 
"Y'all are a bunch of booger pickers, you know that,"  Castiel would say sticking his tongue out at the kids and showing them the whites of his eyes and dancing around crazily antagonizing them into tossing the shuriken at him to show them how he had pulled it off.  They all cocked back their hands and launched a vast barrage of shuriken, close to 20 of them. Most of them were still poorly aimed but nonetheless many of them hit as he was not a small target.  As the log would be pin cushioned with jutsu and a puff of smoke erupted and the log clunked to the ground, Castiel would stand up from where he was behind the bush and clap at the small kids skilled ability with the shurikens.  Cas could not help but laugh and smile.  He walked over and ruffled the hair of one of the younger boys who seemed to stand out as the leader.
 
"You kids did really good, now I guess it's time to show you the clone jutsu.  This jutsu is a lot more difficult but very similar to the last one.  Ya just do tha hand signs, now you concentrate your chakra in your mind and form an image of yourself, if that image aint perfect and your chakra isn't well concentrated you're going to get a lousy and ugly picture of yourself," Cas would explain to the kids. "Cept for you Alan, yours will be ugly anyway." Castiel would wink at the boy and laugh. Everyone else would laugh to and Alan would hold his hand up and growl at him playfully. 
 
Castiel would begin performing the hand signs for the clone jutsu and concentrate his chakra, he had not yet mastered ninjutsu chakra control as it wasnt really his natural expertise and while he performed the said jutsu and focused on an image of himself in his clones.  The clone would pop up except it came out rather poorly looking ghastly pale and would collapse to the ground on its knees appearing as more of a puddle than anything else.  Castiel would open his eyes and look at the monster he created and laugh.  "Welp, that was bad."  He would say aloud.  Causing all of the children to crack up and laugh at him, he couldn't help but laugh along, being a child at heart.
 
Alan would walk up and say "Here Cas lemme show you how to do it, I'm pretty good at that one."  Alan had puffed up his chest and performed the hand signs closing his eyes his long hair hanging down over the headband.  Castiel knew what he had done wrong, but he let the young student show his superiority nonetheless because it was a good chance for the boy to gain some confidence.  The clone would pop up next to the boy, and it was a nearly perfect likeness of the young student.  Impressed Castiel would start a clap as the rest of the students would follow along.  He could see Alan's eyes light up with pride. 
 
"Hmmm that was pretty dang good Alan, I think you did help me. Lemme try it again." Cas would then say.  He did the hand signs once again and concentrate on the imaging this time instead of closing his eyes he would keep them open and visualize himself in the location he would be summoning the clones.  He focused all of the chakra forward and created 2 whole and nearly perfect clones of himself.  All of the children would gasp and clap.  Castiel bgan shaking hands with his own clones and bowed before the crowd as all 3 visages of Castiel would say "Thank You" "Thank You".

Afterwards the kids began working very intensely at trying to create two clones with their new found "Mentor".  He enjoyed being a highly respected peer in the company of the students.  Cas would be standing in front of the group of students all of them varying heights, and sizes.  Here in Hoshi it was a truly difficult task to be a shinobi, being unable to travel around freely for fear of negative looks and glances or even inspired rebellious attacks.  Castiel had heard that the leaders were dealing with the political difficulties and other aspects but beyond that not much had seemed to change.  Cas placed his hands on his hips and walked in a circle around his fellow academy students.  The one child Alan walked up to him and tugged on the tail of his shirt looking up at him wide eyed with an obvious question on his face, "Can you show us how to do transformation technique Cass-san?"  Alan would ask bright eyed still tugging on the tail end of the shirt.  Castiel would smile and take his right hand and put it on the kids head and ruffle the boys hair a bit "Sure I can, if I can actually pull it off," he would reply.
 
Castiel would wander to the left and bring both hands up in front of him, he would keep his legs separated at about shoulder width.  Cas would begin weaving the seals before him concentrating his mind on the image he wished to become.  As he finished the seals he felt the chakra burst forth and a puff of smoke erupted around him.  As the smoke dissipated the visage standing there was no longer Castiel, though it really wasn't a visage of anything.  A mix between a monkey and the boy Alan and the transformation was quite off setting, making all of the children let out a unanimous "Eeeeeeeewwwww."
 
Castiel released the transformation, and walked in a circle. "Shit, this is kinda hard," he would whisper to himself beneath his breath."If this were some form of genjutsu I'd already know it, but the village has rules, I can't advance in genjutsu until I am capable of learning powerful genjutsu until these ninjutsu are learned."  Castiel continued rambling to himself, he was becoming moderately frustrated.  Cas took a large breath and calmed himself, releasing the breath into a deep exhale.  He would turn around and looked at the Kids.
 
"Ok I have it this time, just watch and be amazed," Castiel would announce to the children, as he would repeat the signs, though this time he would calm his mind and not over concentrate.  He would focus deep within and form an image.  Thinking of a time that brought peace to his mind and comforted him.  He thought of his childhood.  As the chakra released and the transformation occured he could feel the smoke rising off of him and could tell he had accomplished it.  The image standing before the kids was that of his father, looking younger.  A 6 foot tall man with a smile on his face and friendliness in his eyes.  Castiel realized he had done it and discovered the secret to successfully pulling off the casting of the jutsu, and had remembered something he had tried to forget for a long time.  Castiel could feel warm salty tears running down his face and drip off of his cheekbone, he would reach his right hand up and wipe the tear away, feeling the face and running his hand along it.  A face he had not seen or felt in years.  Castiel would release the juts and walk with a spring in his step over to a tree.  He would walk up to it and lean on it.  Looking down at the ground he would think back to his life and trainings from his father.  Castiel could feel his eyes burning, a red hot stinging that no matter how much he rubbed it would not go away.  He would see his father standing over him with the crimson red eyes of a genjutsu master of the Yuhi clan.
 
"Now boy you must break this genjutsu, one day you will be as good as, if not better than I with your genjutsu.  However in order to do that you must learn how to notice the trap of a genjutsu and learn how to break free of them.  In order to do that you must earn the release jutsu.  That is the first step in unlocking your great heritage and show your determination to become the future head of this clan.  Castiel my son, you are my pride and joy, you may not succeed at first but do not despair continue trying."  He would remember the visage of his father speaking to him in one of their many training sessions.  Another tear woud pour down his face.  Castiel remembered that no matter how hard he tried he was never able to break free  from the genjutsu placed on him no matter how hard he had tried.  He would undoubtedly have to learn how to use it now and no longer wait.  He imagined the genjutsu he was placed in when he was younger finding it not so difficult to pinpoint the illusions.  He would notice the illusions and place his hands together in a seal of confrontation and channel the chakra away.  Letting his chakra overcome the weak illusions and dissipate them through a form of will. 
 
Castiel had discovered the secrets to simply break genjutsu using this ability, he knew that his clan had a special secret art for knocking down foreign genjutsu that he may discover one day in the future but for now he would be quickly on his first steps to overcoming the genjutsu. 
 
Castiel would open his eyes and look back upon the children who had dispersed though a few of them would still be watching him.  Castiel would wave to them and put on a large comforting smile and walk away.
