Time to get humbled

Tenshi’s Stats:

Tenshi looked up at the Inferno Arena as he approached its entrance. It was an incredible structure, and he could not but help feel in awe of its appearance. It was magnificent, although, he did have to shudder slightly at the memory of being here last time. That was not the happiest of encounters, he wondered if there was a child protection agency that he could approach to file a restraining order against Jecht… The man did seem to love beating the younger Genin at every turn, he should seek therapy.

He was going to be meeting with Aru today for a bit of friendly sparring. Tenshi had a feeling that the friendly part may quickly dissipate when the two of them truly got into it. Friendly or not though, Tenshi had a feeling that he would be enjoying himself today. The Inferno Arena had an extremely efficient protection mechanism in place, so the two of them would be able to avoid any true harm. Tenshi’s main concern was the embarrassment of potentially losing to a Genin that he himself had passed in the Genin Exam. Shaking his head, he pressed onwards and entered the arena.

He raised an eyebrow as he looked around at his surroundings, the plain landscape he had seen last time was replaced with an incredible imitation of a large Chasm. There was a steep decline through the centre, reaching approximately 30 meters downwards. This could make for quite the interesting confrontation. He decided to wait near the entrance for Aru, making it easier for the younger boy to find him, instead of having to traverse the steep terrain too early.

He thought to himself for a moment. Aru seemed to have quite the complicated past. Tenshi knew the mutual feeling of loss and wondered if the two would be able to connect as fellow Shinobi. Tenshi planned on becoming the Hokage one day, and he knew that he would need to understand the hearts of all Leaf Shinobi if he wanted to truly achieve that goal. Regardless of how snotty or angsty those Shinobi ended up being.

Chuckling to himself, Tenshi waited by the entrance with his arms crossed, yawning slightly as time passed for Aru to join him.

Stats:

It was a rather lovely day for being in the middle of spring. The wind was calm and light with the sun far off in the distance and painted the sky in blues and oranges. The frequent clouds hung overhead, some bearing more weight than others. Every so often, Arutemisu could hear the sound of birds chirping in the distance over the trickling creek nearby. The temperature was cool, not too cold and not too hot. Well, he wishes that was the case as it was actually cloudy, dark, and raining with a frequent roar of thunder. Making him wear his dark raincoat over his usual medical gear.

Arutemisu was walking down the gravel paved path that usually led towards the Anbura compound. Using his handy dandy umbrella of course. He just finished his shift from the hospital and let's just say it was rather uneventful. The normal patients with the normal symptoms. However, the head doctor was especially being a little on edge today, more than usual. He wondered what was wrong with her, but he really didn't want to find out. It was probably those interns that were training today. Childish and annoying. Even though they were his peers, they disrespected them and always talked out loud. He can tell they won't make it in that field, especially with the lack of chakra control they have.

Arutemisu shrugged it off as he continued to walk in the light pour. He passed small buildings here and there with very few people passing by. He couldn't even tell what time it was because he stayed late for his work, but he didn't work the night shift. The next building that came into his ocular field of vision was the newly built Inferno Arena. He's only been there once; however, this was his place of destination. For it seems his ‘friend’, Tenshi, was up for a little spar. Arutemisu couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle.

Walking in, he immediately found his partner for this spar. “Hello, sourpuss, lovely to see you again,” Arutemisu said while staring down the Uchiha. “So, if I win this spar? What are you going to do for me?” Arutemisu let out a chuckle as he maneuvered himself to the other side of the chasm arena, 50 meters away from Tenshi near the waterfall. “Ready when you are.” Arutemisu announced as he activated his Uchūgan.

Tenshi stifled another yawn as Aru finally arrived, the moody boy carrying his moody umbrella. “Hey there sugarplum, it sure has been a while! How was reviving the fishies today?” Tenshi chuckled, although it appeared his sparring partner was not really in the mood for jokes today, no matter, he would change that.

“Hmm, great question. If you win, I will call you something more convenient, maybe buttercup? But if I win, you can refer to me as Sensei Superior from now on!” He walked alongside Aru briefly, stopping and allowing the younger boy to walk the rest of the way ahead. As Aru continued to make his way to the other end of the arena, Tenshi began his summoning process.

Using his expertise in Space Time Jutsu, Tenshi placed his palm to the floor, Summoning Jutsu! A large puff of smoke rose, and from it, the mighty Malloxis appeared, roaring aloud. However, Tenshi knew that he was up against a powerful adversary, Malloxis alone would not yet be enough.

Assuming that he continued to walk to the other side of the arena, Tenshi would go once more. Summoning Jutsu! Another puff of smoke shot into the air, this time five meters to the left of Malloxis. Rellgar was the next to rise, taking his place alongside his fellow Defector. Their red scales glistening in the light from the arena.

Malloxis slightly dipped her left wing, allowing Tenshi to climb aboard the five meter tall dragon. As he did so, he activated his Three Tomoe Sharingan, enhancing his vision and allowing him to see any chakra movement within his vision. Tenshi spoke to Rellgar on his left, ”Rell, we are here to spar with the boy on the other side of the arena. Do not let his looks deceive you, he is much more powerful than he appears to be. Take care and remember what we have been practicing, use the same tactics!” The dragon nodded in understanding.

Through the use of telepathy, Malloxis reached out to Tenshi.Tensh, what abilities does this boy have access to? Anything we should know about? Tenshi responded out loud so that Rellgar could also hear him. “I know little of his abilities. I have witness him using his eyes before to see into my mind, which was honestly more annoying than anything else. He also has the ability to create a portal of some kind to travel, so making sure he does not have time to do that would be idea. Other than that, we are all in the dark together.”

With that, both dragons launched into the air, Rellgar hovered roughly 15 meters above the surface. Directly behind him, Tenshi and Malloxis would hover 20 meters above the surface, allowing Tenshi the ability to still see where Aru was. There was 15 meters between the two dragons. With the new elevation, Tenshi was now 70 meters away from Aru, with Rellgar being roughly 42 meters away.

In the spirit of fairness, Tenshi would yell to Aru before any combat could begin. “Make whatever preparations you need before we begin!”

‘So, we’re pulling out the summons already? So be it.’ Arutemisu thought as he joined in conjunction with Tenshi and placed his hand on the ground, ‘come forth, Otomeza,’ he thought as the summoning seal expanded on the ground and out come a spirit-esq wolf, toned in colors that are red and blue. Otomeza maneuvers himself about 5 meters from Arutemisu, reading his thoughts and understanding what is about to happen as he enhances himself +70/+70 to vigor and chakra.

Arutemisu formed the hand seals: Horse, Tiger, Hare, Rat, Tiger at jutsu speed as a portal of starry blackness opens up 5 meters in front of Otemeza and 5 meters above Tenshi as Otemeza roars and spits flames moving at jutsu speed, through the portal and at Tenshi with a power and speed of 195. If Tenshi is able to dodge the initial attack, the flames will detonate once hitting the ground or Tenshi and engulfing the area in a 25m radius.

Tenshi had two things going for him in this situation; his Sharingan and his prior knowledge of Aru’s portal. Making use of his Enhanced Vision from the Sharingan, Tenshi would spot Aru about to begin his handseals. Realising that Tenshi was too far to make an impact just yet, he would activate Chrono Augment, flooding his body with its Space-Time energy. This gave the Uchiha a considerable boost to his Chakra and his Speed (+50 to both).

The moment this happened, leapt off Malloxis and directly at Rellgar while Aru would be performing his hand signs. Tenshi would release Malloxis the moment his feet left the dragon’s body, causing her to disappear in a large puff of smoke. Aru clearly had the upper hand in ability, especially at this range, so Tenshi decided it was time for him to close some distance to stand a chance.

If he made it onto Rellgar’s back, the dragon would burst forward towards Aru, in attempt to close the distance between them to 50m. Tenshi would then attempt to cast Summoning: Torture Chamber with a speed and strength of 115. Four chains would shoot from the ground the first would be six meters in front of Aru. The second, five meters to the right of the first, six meters in front of Aru’s summon. The third, three meters to the left of the first, The fourth three meters ahead of the third, still maintaining a distance of six meters from Aru (see the image reference).

These chains would then travel at technique speed (115). The first would fly directly at Aru’s position at the time of casting. The second would fly several meters to the right of that. The third would travel five meters above Aru. The fourth travel several meters to the left of the first. All of the chains would fly to their maximum distance (25 meters). If any of them hit Aru, they would instantly wrap around the target and become taut, binding him in place.

It appears that Tenshi miraculously avoids Otomeza’s attack. But that doesn’t matter, because the next attack will conclude the battle. Otomeza took off into the portal just as the portal dispelled, Arutemisu watched as Tenshi got onto the dragon's back, but it was already too late for him as Otomeza roared to life as Tenshi was just 20 meters away from the wolf. 16 earth pillars rose in a square formation(30m apart from each other 50m tall) with Tenshi at the center. Chakra generated electrical beams fire from their peaks to the center of the area of the bind, electrifying the entire area within and the spaces connected by the pillars. The power and speed are 195. If Tenshi and his dragon do not make it out, they will also be paralyzed so long as their strength stat is below 195.

As Tenshi leaped towards Rellgar’s back, he noticed Aru’s summon move towards the portal entrance. As he approached the large dragon, Tenshi knew he was virtually out of options. He had two choices, he could egg Rellgar on to try and fly away from the attacking summon, or he could spare his friend the pain that was to come. He yelled out to his dragon, ”Quickly Rell, send me back!” He decided that it was time to throw caution to the wind, this was his hail mary attempt, and he knew it was going to hurt.

Instead of landing on the dragon’s back, Tenshi would instead place his legs together and crouch in mid-air, with Rellgar outstretching one of his own legs. They would come together and push off at the same time, sending Tenshi directly back at Otomeza. Rellgar would vanish in a large puff behind the Uchiha the moment after this happened. Opening his eyes wide, Tenshi would attempt to make direct eye contact with Otomeza, casting Sharingan Genjutsu with a power of 95 at the mighty summon.

Assuming the summon looked at the ‘object’ hurtling its way and getting caught in the Genjutsu, it will fall victim to a complete sensory paralysis. This would cause both Otomeza and Tenshi to become rendered immobile for the duration of the Jutsu. Should Tenshi fail with his attempt, he would be struck by the Pillar Bind Jutsu and begin hurtling down to the ground 15 meters below.

Plans. Sometimes they fail, sometimes they succeed. In this case of the minds that clashed against each other in a dance, one will prevail while one will not. One wrong move could decide the outcome of this battle, that move will not be coming from Arutemisu and his loyal summon, Otomeza.

Tenshi located 28 meters in front of Otomeza and 42 meters in front of Arutemisu, the Uchiha tried using his own summon to propel him back to the wolf spirit. Even so, the great binding pillar rose 4 meters for every meter Tenshi launched himself at Otomeza. Once Tenshi was in the 25m range for the sharingan genjutsu to be activated, the pillar had already risen 12 meters and continued to rise. Thus, since Otomeza is only 10 meters tall, the walls blocked the ocular jutsu that was tried to be performed on Otomeza as Tenshi was 15 meters in the air. The south wall was 5 meters in front of Otomeza and the north wall was 30 meters. Which would indicate that Tenshi had launched himself into the binding pillar, when if he had traveled north to Arutemisu, he would’ve never been caught in the bind.

If Tenshi could not somehow escape the imprisonment of the pillars, he would take 195 damage to his health along with being completely paralyzed since his strength stat is lower than the damage output of the binding pillars and start descending to the ground at a speed of 150.

Activating the ram seal, Arutemisu would body flicker 3 meters from the north wall, as a small peep hole would be formed big enough for him to look through. Walking up to the hole, he would yell out, “oh, how the mighty have fallen, Uchiha. Admit defeat, and Otomeza will release you from this bind. If not, then suffer.”

A hail mary does not always go to plan, but Tenshi knew the risks before he tried it. The Uchiha had thrown caution to the wind in his last ditch effort, unfortunately it did not pay off this time. He knew the plan was an ambitious one, but that was part of the reason he was so excited to try it. Tenshi loved a risk, although this risk was going to be quite the painful one to try.

With his eyes fixated on the summon as he bound towards it, Tenshi strained with all of his might. Unfortunately, right before he got into range to cast his Genjutsu, the pillar rose ahead, block his view at the last second. This would have normally annoyed the Genin, but he had bigger concerns, primarily the fact that he was flying head first at the pillar. With the little time he had left, Tenshi raised his arms, tucked his chin and attempted to rotate his body to avoid serious damage upon impact.

This proved to be the right call, as the Jutsu hit him with full force. The Uchiha gasped as the electricity from the technique ran through his body, dealing 195 damage to his health. By this point he would be no more than 10 meters above the ground. The moment that the electricity hit him, so did the paralysis, forcing him to lose control of his limbs as he began to fall.

It felt like an eternity as he dropped from the sky, all he could think to himself was that he was grateful he had released both of his summons before they could be damaged. Finally, Tenshi hit the floor, landing on his back as he gasped once more in pain. Thankfully, he did not receive any damage from the fall, as he was not 30 or more meters in the air. He slid along the ground for a moment, finally halting five meters from the pillar that had risen in front of him. He winced in pain as the electricity continued to shock and hold him down.

Keeping his eyes open, Tenshi heard Aru’s snarky comments, he could not see him, but he could picture the look on his face. “I can fall as many times as I have to, as long as I get back up stronger than I was…” He barely managed to get the words out as the pain coursed through his body. He chuckled slightly at Aru, “Sorry I could not quite hear that, maybe you should enter this little enclosure and say it again.”

He knew that there was no point in pushing Aru, but Tenshi just could not help himself. He sighed to himself as he stared at the sky.

“I certainly hope so,” Arutemisu said through the small hole in the earthen structure. Looking down, he could see the Uchiha wincing through the electrical current that was affecting his body. While this was a done deal, Tenshi noted that he would not give up. A statement befitting for someone to strive to be the Hokage one day. A goal that Arutemisu genuinely wants for the elder genin; hoping to see him achieve that success in his lifetime.

“Thank you for your assistance, Otomeza, but all is well from here on out,” Artemis shouted with a calming undertone to his voice. On the other side of the structure, Otomeza nodded as he disappeared in a puff of smoke while the binding pillar stopped electrocuting Tenshi and began to descend back into the ground.

Once the building was completely embedded back into the ground, Arutemisu walked up to Tenshi, who should be back to getting feeling in his body. “So? Does this mean I’m now called buttercup? Or would you like to continue? Because I’d rather not, I’m starving and don’t want to hurt you too much.” The Anbura let out a small laugh as he knelt beside the Uchiha. “Let’s go grab something to eat.” He finished as his eyes fell over the white-haired shinobi. If Tenshi agreed to not continue, Arutemisu would deactivate his Uchugan and perform the hand seals to activate creation rebirth and heal Tenshi of his wounds. If not, he would keep his doujutsu activated and wait for his fellow genin to make a move.
