The Journey to Destiny
Sat Apr 16, 2016 6:17 am
Well, it was time to get a move on. Keito had been playing around long enough. Though he was born to a family in the waterfall country, and been through a bunch of hell recently, it just seemed he wanted to continue this hellish route he was making for himself. Why he wished to do this, well to make things difficult. Power didn’t come easily, you had to work for it, and do many many things in order to obtain it. And what other thing to do, then go to the center of hell itself. Kirigakure. The place filled with treacherous allies, where power was essential to all who inhabited such a place. This sounded best for Keito, a place he can strive in and become ever more stronger. It was already morning by the time Keito had found freedom from the grasp of Kenshin, his new ally. Well, sort of an ally. They had a fight before, but he guessed it was all patched up now. He would be who knows where, and Keito would be going to Kiri. Hell, they may never cross paths again. Still though, expect the unexpected. He may make an appearance in Keito’s journey, however currently that won’t be likely.
Keito began to set off on the long journey to Kirigakure. Though of course, he wasn’t dumb enough to head towards the ruins of the old one. He had heard many tales back in his old village of how the old Kirigakure fell, and there was a new one. Within the Island Country. Bitchin. Time to make anew he supposed, just like himself would be doing so, soon enough. He had prepared a backpack of sorts, in order carry water and berries to satisfy him for this long journey. I mean damn. This boy was about to travel 2 countries over, being currently from waterfall. It was going to be a long walk, many nights resting with nature, and then having to travel over a body of water in order to get there. But it was surely worth it. These other ninja weren’t truly prepared, determined, or savage enough to take on Kiri. Kiri was a breeding place for top tier warriors, of course it would scare off the faint at heart people who didn’t believe in themselves. However, Keito knew better. He saw it for what it really was. He knew he would be able to take it on, and come on a better warrior. Hell, he was already fond of the thought of Kiri, maybe he would stick around and go higher into the ranks. However, he would soon have to experiment and see what forces it held within.
He was journeying southern. He was already at the border of Waterfall and Fire, the fight between him and Kenshin starting up around that area. Looking at a map of the world, he was able to navigate where he was by looking to the sun, and then making a estimated descent towards that way. He had no resistance to overcome, no attackers or anything really coming his way. It seemed as if it would be an especially easy cruise there. However, he couldn’t fully accept that thought yet, first he would have to actually cross the humongous country known as the Land of Fire, before anything else. He was already making his way to the land now, beginning to cross it. Their was a road, a measly dirt road at that. It was funny, you could actually begin to tell the border of the fire and waterfall countries without even looking at a sign. The trees, their colors began to transition to another slowly but surely. In waterfall, it looked more like a rain forest if anything. More mossy, and messy looking like someones extremely nappy hair. Whilst the fire country forest was more laid out, well-kept and mannered. It was an odd transition of course, however he could only guess what the Island country would have. He continued to make his way down this road. He would continue until he saw that the trail would lead towards another direction unsuitable to Keito, where he would go a bit off road and go throughout the forest, heading in the same direction he would find.
He had made some good distance, or at least he had hoped from where he initally started. Also the day was becoming increasingly dark, signaling it time to rest at his current position. From then on he set up a camp, and was preparing everything necessary to survive the night. He had some cloths, a fire up and ready, and some food to preserve his hunger. However, he would have to go and get some food later on that night, seeing as he ran out from eating all throughout the day. Once gaining this food, he was set and prepared to go to bed, now having more meats from a nearby pond. Also some more berries along the way. He slept, a quick sleep, to only be awakened to the bright sky that signaled day. He got up with a start, not even thinking of what it is he had to do, and just continued on after getting his much needed supplies. He walked and walked for what seemed like hours, until he came by a small village. A relatively small one in fact, most likely just fisherman and the likes, seeing as their was a manageable body of water a couple ways out. He befriended these people, asking if he was going the correct direction to his destination. They filled him in with much needed info, being that he had to wear southeast in order to arrive where he wanted to be. Pleased with what he just learned, he continued on after stocking up on food and the likes. He didn’t take a rest, since he was still rather awake and eager to get as much ground as needed to Kirigakure. Or more so the Island Country. He felt as if he would take days, hell months just to travel there. However, he couldn’t find any means of transportation in order to make it there in the time he would hope for. Which was sad, he really was gonna have to walk this shit huh? Oh well, he was determined to get to Kiri now, their was no turning back. He had a broken family now, many pieces missing, though the village he was originally from had been reformed most likely, there was no point going back now. He seeked more power than any, especially to take down guys like Kenshin.
More days, and more nights. About 4 days had passed then, he was tired and bored of seeing the same things. Forest and grass. It was aggravating, he even went as far as to use some fire jutsu in order to train up a bit, to make the trip a little bit more fun. Luckily, he hadn’t come by any enemies of sorts up to this point. He was passing by Konoha when finally he met up with other forces. Bandits, of course. God, were they annoying. Just some regular punks who wanted to rob and what not, but hey, they picked the wrong dude to mess with. Keito continued to walk his same pattern, giving the bandits a sort of warning to not interfere with him. However of course, they didn’t take Keito’s generous offering. He was in no mood to play around, their were three of them. They all attacked at once, very sloppily as well. Keito shook his head, they were nothing compared to Kenshin. Keito grabbed one of his kunais, and slashed their throats rather hastily, with no care in the world. He looted their bodies after, finding some food that can be used later on if he needed it. From then on he continued onwards, passing by this village he saw as nothing compared to the true warriors of Kirigakure. That was about the only amount of action he had gotten that whole voyage, once again going to a bland and boring atmosphere. He just couldn’t take it any longer. It was so so boring, having to just walk and walk. However, he would sometime have to come to terms with this lifestyle, hell he should of expected this when he deserted his village. He might as well take advantage of it and observe the peace, of course it won’t be that way for long. From then on, his journey was a lot more centered around exploring around him, getting to his destination would be his last worries. Or at least, it’ll happen when it happens you know?
More days, maybe 2 or so. He was more calm and in sync with himself, just exploring this area he called the Land of Fire, surrounded by forest and grass everywhere. He had been gaining more intel for where he had to go from villages he would stop by every now and then. It was no big deal, he was cruising. Ghost riding his whip. The whip being his journey, controlling it whilst not exactly taking part in it, or worrying about the end. He was just chilling, still walking and beginning to actually feel his feet become sore just a bit. Well, he wasn’t exactly walking anymore. A quickened pace, running of sorts to get there quicker while also observing his surroundings. He had begun to stop and take another rest, when he came upon a moving wagon. It was going towards the same direction he was heading, on the road. He was told this same road led towards the direction of Kirigakure. Talking with the rider of this wagon, he hopped on and began to travel with the man there. It was a peaceful journey, one where he had the chance to relax and sit back. Finally arriving to the bottom of the Fire Country, he boarded one of the boats leading towards the island country. The ride there was alright, the boat had a lot of sway. It seemed the waters were extremely upset at the time, maybe due to the fact a warrior yearning to learn and become powerful was entering its area. Nature itself knew what was coming, and can feel the destruction and terror setting in. Then again, it could've just been one of those sea days. Keito did have a tendency to overthink things in such a way. Oh well, no matter.
He was almost there, only one more day of travel and then he would finally step onto the island countries soil. It was pretty far out from the usual lands. Damn, it must be hell having to try and plan an attack on Kiri. Having to bring multiple troops by boat. Then again, you can just water walk there...But nobody trying to do all that work for a journey that takes days. Well, finally the day came when Keito stepped onto the Island country, and was free to do whatever he wished at that point. Hurray!
