The King of Crows vs. The Fox Sage[P, NK]

It had been a long and productive week for the Chuunin Uchiha. He had managed to find himself as the leader of a Genin squad as well as begun learning some interesting new skills. His proficiency with genjutsu has become increasingly the best weapon in his arsenal. Not only could he bring someone to their knees with simply a glance, but he had begun becoming accustomed to trapping targets within genjutsu by playing a tune on his newly acquired flute. He had all but mastered using these new skills of his. He still had a lot more he wanted to learn, but he knew he was a strong shinobi of the leaf village. Today Jace decided to head out to the training grounds to hopefully find a decent opponent to train against. He was glad that his friend Ita had shown him how to perform that space-time technique, but he was certain he could improve upon it. It didn't take the boy long to put on his chuunin gear, including his comm set, and head out of the house. The sun was high in the sky by the time he had arrived. It was roughly noon and there wasn't a cloud in sight. The temperature was warm, but not stifling hot and every so often there was a nice cool breeze that ruffled the boy's hair. Upon arriving, he noticed a young girl around his age not far from him. He used his chakra senses to see that she was probably as strong as he was if not more so. Deciding to take the initiative, Jace headed over to the girl and introduced himself. Of course when he got closer he recognized her to be Risako, one of the ninja he had met that night in the village with the Hokage. "Hey Risako. It's Jace, Jace Uchiha. I was wondering if you'd like to train with me a bit."

Aside from the occasional breeze gently lifting her hair around, and her chest raising from breathing, Risako had remained almost entirely motionless. While she had grown rather proficient in the act of gathering nature energy over the course of the last month or so, her abilities were still slightly sub-par, as she could only gather it on her own while she was deep in concentration. Her foxes, unusually, were away from her in their own realm, as they had been the tools she had used to gather the energy for her, and if she was to grasp it any better than she had now, it was necessary to abandon them as a tool. 

She had been this way all morning, going on into the afternoon. It wasn't until Jace, the Uchiha boy, had come to her and disrupted her concentration that she had even bothered moving. Her eyelids would snap open, as she listened to the Uchiha. Honestly it probably wouldn't hurt to get a little training in, so she nodded. "Sure. What do you propose?"

The girl's eyes snapped open at the sound of Jace's voice. He hoped that he hadn't disturbed her, but when she responded that she was willing to train with the boy that thought quickly left his mind. She had asked him what he had in mind. He wasn't sure what Risako was proficient with, actually he knew barely anything about the girl at all. Instead of hoping she could help him with genjutsu, he decided to ask her if she minded having a small spar with him. It would do him good to know the abilities of the other ninja in the village in case he ever needed to call upon them for aid. Jace liked to strategize and having knowledge of his comrades abilities would certainly help in that aspect. It would also be a good chance for him to test his own strengths and perhaps finish learning one or both of the jutsu he had spent time developing. "How about a spar?" he asked the girl. He was sure she would say yes as well, though he still waited patiently for her response.

Nodding her head, she would say, "Yeah, that sounds fine." Biting her thumb hard enough to draw blood, she would wipe the sticky read substance the shoulder of her shirt as she took a few steps back. In a small poof of smoke, Yu, her most powerful summon, would appear on her shoulder. Her flak jacket was at home, which could pose an issue if this fight got out of hand... Though she didn't see it going that way. Her ring was snuggly fit around her let ring finger, and her earring was clasped onto the right lobe. She was dressed in a long sleeve red shirt, and some longer khaki shorts. Her feet were bare, however.

The summon, despite the amount of rage in his tiny body, knew why he had been summoned. He immediately got to work on gathering Sage Energy for the girl, but given the command he would be more than ready to do whatever malicious deeds that Risako wanted done. 

With a small nod, she would state, "Whenever you're ready, go ahead." As usual, she would put the first move onto her opponent. Due to her past experiences with Ryugia Uchiha, she knew the power of the Sharingan, at least to an extent. So as a rule of thumb, she took care to avoid making direct eye contact with most Uchiha.

Risako quick to respond to Jace's request for a spar. She had agreed and immediately stood up to take a few steps backward while summoning a fox. The boy didn't know that she had summons. That was certainly interesting. Smiling, the boy would blink and when he re-opened his eyes they were the symbolic crimson with three black tomoe surrounding the pupil that signified the Uchiha clan's sharingan. It seemed the girl had some knowledge of his clan's doujutsu, however, since she pointedly avoided looking Jace in the eye. That was probably a smart move against most Uchiha, but it wouldn't do much against Jace. Genjutsu was his forte and not many people could avoid or release the genjutsu he cast on them. "Alright. Let's get started then." he said in response to Risako's telling him to go ahead when he was ready. He could feel his ring snugly fit on his right hand, his flute neatly placed in his weapons pouch with his other ninja tools. He had left his own Chuunin flak jacket at home that day just like Risako had along with his umbrella. That might have been a bad idea, but he didn't think he would really need it for this. 

Immediately after his words, Jace would perform two hand seals as fast as he could before exhaling a 2 meter diameter fireball from his mouth at Risako. It was one of the Uchiha clan's signature jutsu, the Great Fireball technique. The boy figured it was a fitting way to start off the battle.

Focused on the boy, she would listen as he decided to kick things off. Her eyes would drift down to his hands, just as he finished the handseal, before snapping back up to the fireball. As it came her way, with one of her free hands, she would form the seal of confrontation. Lifting her other hand to the fireball that was fast approaching as quickly as she could, Risako would focus her chakra into the formation of the Fort Seal. A meter from her hand, a clear rectangle that was five meters wide, and tall enough to cover her body from head to toe, would seemingly wisp its way into existence. 

By this point, Jace's fireball would be roughly two meters out from the barrier, and as soon as it would hit the surface of the barrier, it would disperse against it, causing a ripple of several colors, almost like a rainbow, to spread from the impact. Pursing her lips, she would drop her eyebrows to appear disinterested. With the hand that was still up, her fingers would snap into the tiger handseal as fast she could move. About as slow as a snail, or a disabled child, (whichever you prefer,) a bit of earth would rise up from the ground in the shape of a staff. If uninterrupted, she would snatch the stick up, all the while paying attention to the Uchiha. Yu kept up his end of the work, transferring nature energy to Risako's tiny body. Which wasn't so tiny anymore I guess.

To Jace's utter surprise, the girl had completely stopped his fireball with ease. She seemed to make a single simple hand seal and a barrier like thing appeared to surround her from her outstretched palm. There was a strange rainbow light that came from the barrier when the fireball had impacted it. When it cleared, Risako seemed to have a disinterested look on her face. Jace just smirked at that as he saw her perform a single hand seal with her still outstretched hand. At the same time, he would perform a series of hand seals of his own, channeling his lightning chakra and controlling the space-time within his body to speed up his own molecules. Tiger-Ox-Boar-Snake. There would only be one noticeable difference that the girl could or would notice. The Uchiha's body now gave off periodic spurts of lightning here and there as he stood there. He made slow pointed movements to reach into his weapons pouch with his right hand and bring his flute up to his mouth while keeping his eyes on Risako the whole time. 

Jace then began to play a calming melody from his flute that he was sure was loud enough for the girl to hear clearly. He kept his eyes on the girl as the staff of earth that she had apparently been making finished forming and she snatched it up. When the melody had reached her ears, she would begin to see things differently from how they really were. The genjutsu he had placed was sure to take effect. The girl would see Jace disperse into a flock of crows that would then fly around her and reform into three Jace's standing around her. One would seem to be about a meter in front of where the real Jace was, directly 4 meters in front of Risako. The other two would each be exactly 4 meters in front of her as well, one slightly to her right and the other slightly to her left. The three Jace's made from the genjutsu would each smirk at the girl in unison and beckon her to come at them with the typical 'bring it on' hand motion.

While her little earthen staff was finishing its formation, she noticed her opponent beginning to form his own hand seals. Not today, not today. At the same time he formed the Ox seal, Risako’s hands would have come together to form the Ram. Roughly the same time that he would have been forming the Boar, she would have used her chakra to increase her speed and propel herself into the boy at warp speed. Or maybe it wasn’t warp speed. Point being, it was fast. Really fast. Like, Usain Bolt might just barely not be able to keep up with it. Then again, he’s really fast too. Anywho, moving on. 

From there, depending on Jace’s actions, she would do any number of things. Of course she wouldn’t just sit there, but she liked to react and counter attacks rather than trying to make her own direct assault. So until he did something that she could react to, she would wait.

Just realized I forgot to mention what Yu was doing. Well, the entire time Risako was busy doing her thing, he would just stay on her shoulder and uh. Be a fox. Yanno. Doing foxy things. Like overloading her with Sage Energy. Maybe he'd do something different next post. Maybe not. Let's find out.

Once the boy was slammed into, assuming he was hit, Risako would then help him back to his feet and go home. She was no poor sport, and all that. If he wasn't knocked to his feet, then she would take whatever hits he dealt so long as they didn't result in death.

Jace was knocked down and then helped back up by the girl. He wasn't sure exactly what had just happened, but the girl simply walked away. Shrugging his shoulders, Jace decided to do the same and made his exit from the training grounds.
