Takamitsu's Bind (Private/Solo) (Training)
Sat May 21, 2016 12:23 am
Takamitsu felt stagnant, it was the simplest way to describe his current feelings that didn't dilute the message. He felt a mix of pain, anger, and inspiration that made every day that he wasn't training feel like he was locked in some sort of eternal hell. From the fights the boy had with his comrades to the pain he was feeling from his overuse of Hell Stab, even the life of the shinobi devolved into monotony and drifting because of his lack of true progress. He finally drew the line, if he was going to learn better jutsu, he was going to need to start simple. 'Temporary Paralysis' was a perfect canidate for this simple jutsu training session, and he was determined to easily master the jutsu and move on to his next challenge. The boy moved out of his small home and onto the streets of Konoha, intending to head to the training grounds for a couple of hours before heading back home to take a nap. It was a simple plan, as he didn't think he'd need to put much thought into learning a jutsu that appeared as simple as this one. Of course, he wasn't purely being arrogant, as he was allowing several hours of time for a jutsu that would take many other shinobi less than an hour to become masters of.
The day was relatively windless, and it was twilight by the time he had reached the fields. Usually green grass was glazed with an orange hue, and the boy found himself overwhelmed with a feeling of joy, he was truly excited to be training a new jutsu after several days. Takamitsu didn't feel the need to hide this excitement in these grounds that were currently empty, and the large grin that was on his face was a clear indication of that. He was going to do a bit of a warmup first, get some of that good ol' chakra flowing before he began to commit to anything that he might not be able to finish for a while. His warm up was simple, a bit of moving chakra for the cramp technique and expirementing with his chakra chains, the power that he was attempting to keep secret. It wasn't that he disliked his clan, he just thought it might raise more questions than he was currently willing to answer. The chains bursted out of his palms, extending two feet before dragging onto the ground, Takamitsu staring at them blankly. Even his brother didn't have the same mastery of the family jutsu that Takamitsu had, and it was something that likely had caused a bit of tension between the two siblings. The chains were dangerous, though, so Takamitsu never risked using them against Kurushimi. Finally, he withdrew the chains and, without skipping a beat, sliced his thumb on a kunai that he quickly withdrew from his bag.
He wanted to learn a bit more about his summons, and he also wanted to have the foxes help him test his jutsu, as they seemed to be interested in his progress as a ninja. The boy formed the signs as he quickly placed his thumb on the ground, summoning a pair of foxes, Akami and Tetsuya. The large, reserved fox that was Tetsuya immediately began to climb up the boy's leg onto his shoulders, as if it was a exchange that was already preplanned. It was a bit of a battle formation, the tail of the large fox was able to swing off of the boy's body, and the chains provided a nice way to restrain targets, or help combat any opponent that got a bit too close. Akami's gaze quietly shifted between the two before the fox finally spoke.
"Whaddya' need?"
"Feel like helping me train?"
"Define 'helping' you."
"You let me try and restrain you using my chakra, and you get food as compensation."
It was a fair deal, and one that the small fox didn't refuse. "So I just need you to stand still while I try this, and when I tell you to, try to move."
"Seems simple, why did ya' bring Tetsuya?"
"In case you were uncooperative."
"Whaddya' mean uncooperative!?"
The boy shook his head before giving the form a small laugh. "It doesn't matter, let's just get started."
It took several minutes of adjustsments for all of the participants to get into position, Akami standing a meter from Takamitsu as he formed the hand sign that was required for the jutsu. He slowly began to manipulate his chakra, attempting to control it well enough for it to halt the movement of the small fox's muscles. It had varying success, although he was able to paralyze the fox, it was only in the tail back left leg. A few laughs from Akami later and the boy felt ready to try again, this time focusing intensely on the area around him. The boy felt the chakra move around his heart and towards his hand, it being molded to his will by his hand sign. He forced the chakra to slowly come out, almost replicating the actions of his chains. It came from his hands, the invisible energy quickly darting towards the fox, paralyzing nearly every muscle in his body. The boy instantly gave the animal a small grin, knowing that his jutsu had succesfully worked on his second attempt. It was a nice test of his chakra control, but it was hardly something he'd consider a very intense training. For every amazing feat, there's always thousands of tests leading up to it, or at least, that's what the kid believed. He looked towards the fox, letting his body go. He gently reached his hand down, letting the small, stocky fox make his way up Takamitsu's arm, taking a place next to Tetsuya, who was wrapped several times around the boy's shoulder. Akami gently sat down, looking towards Takamitsu.
"So, we're going to go get that food, right?"
"Yeah, whatever you say." He gave the fox a small smile, happy that his jutsu test subject didn't hold any ill feelings towards him.
