Takamitsu's 1000 Birds! (Training) (Private/Solo) Empty Takamitsu's 1000 Birds! (Training) (Private/Solo)

Mon May 30, 2016 4:21 pm
Before the morning sun had even risen, the boy knew what he was going to do today. It might take him several days, or even weeks to learn the techinque, but he was going to need to give it all he had. The technique was made famous by those who had fought using it before the cataclysm, and if the power was even half as great as Takamitsu heard that it would be, then the boy would be unstoppable. Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds, or Chidori, was a technique that Takamitsu had never seen performed in person before, and had only heard about when reading about past ninja wars. He knew that the technique had a rise of use after the cataclysm, which had made the technique more available to people who wished to posses its power. Fundamentally, this technique seemed very similar to Hell Stab, a technique that Takamitsu had learned several weeks back, except that this allowed for a much higher skill cap in exchange for a need of better chakra control. The boy was already beginning to show great promise in the area of chakra control, so this technique seemed to be right up his alley. Takamitsu was done lying to himself over what he wanted to do with his training. He would never sleep soundly until he knew what happened with his brother, and his life was slowly being drawn down the path to find out the answer, whether the boy liked it or not. A rivalry with Tatsurama wasn't his concern, the boy didn't feel the need to prove himself better than his peers anymore, only the need to become more powerful. This power was going to come from a vast knowledge of jutsu, something which Takamitsu wanted to obtain during his years of training in Konoha. Though, with every passing day, doubt slowly crept into the cracks in his mind, pulling him away from his dreams and closer to thoughts of his brother. Takamitsu was going to find out why someone would abandon a village, and then he would knew what it truly meant to be shinobi. Or at least, that's what the boy hoped would happen when he finally would be able to apprehend his older brother. Maybe his goals would change, but maybe the boy would be even more confused, forced to come back to his village empty handed and even more lost than before. Takamitsu knew that the sole pursuit of Kurushimi wouldn't solve everything, but it likely would help give his life some sort of clarity. The boy shrugged off most of his thoughts as he left his home and started to head towards the training field, hoping that after a small warmup he'd start to make progress on learning Chidori before he had to turn in for the night. This would be vastly different than the Hell Stab training, the boy knew less and the technique was much more difficult to perform, but hopefully the rewards would be worth the effort that he was going to put into learning the technique.

When Takamitsu had finally arrived at the training field, the boy wasn't quite sure where to begin. He knew that he needed to manipulate his chakra to head towards his hand, and he knew that he needed to perform the hand signs required for the technique, but there were so many intricacies that went into every jutsu that the boy felt that without a teacher it would take him several hours to even begin to make process on a jutsu of this power. Kanshi had focused on weaponry, and the boy didn't know anybody else that had a natural lightning affinity like he had, so he was left alone on this one. The boy softly began to walk towards the center of the training field, knowing that he'd need lots of room in order to correctly perform the technique. He didn't waste any time in preparation, almost instantly performing the hand seals required to use Chidori. He dropped his left hand down towards the ground, clutching it with his right. Sparks began to emit, and a small buzzing seemed to be coming from his hand. The boy started to run forward, his mind trained onto the tree that was in front of him. He swiftly began to dash forward, dragging his hand along the ground to his side as he did. Earth started to tear beneath him, but it was obvious that this power wasn't going to last very long. The boy stopped short of the tree, stumbling into it due to the large amount of speed that he had built up with the start of the run. There were obviously a few problems with his Chidori, and he'd need some improvement before he was going to be able to successfully execute the technique. The boy softly stood, bracing himself up against the tree's trunk before beginning to head back to where he had originally started. He passed the point, heading further in that direction, wondering just how much space he'd need in order to reach his top speed and stay that way while also having enough time to perform the chidori without running out of power. It seemed like a bunch of balancing would need to be in order for Takamitsu to even come close to performing the technique, much less learning how to use it effectively within the heat of battle. It seemed he would only be able to move in a straight line, which would mean his target would either need to be stationary, or would need to be restrained, like through Takamitsu's Paralysis Jutsu or Chakra Chains. The boy finally stopped walking, turning back towards the tree once again. This tree was going to become his mortal enemy for the sake of the training, and he fully intended to destroy every last piece of it. Takamitsu took a deep breath, performing the long line of hand signs once again, hoping to make at least a small amount of progress this time. He began to run once again, the buzzing sounding a bit more hectic, but not quite at the levels that Takamitsu had heard described to him. His hand tore into the ground as he ran towards the tree, raising his hand to smash into it, creating a rather large dent but not much else. His hand hurt, which wasn't good, and he felt tired. Those two attempts had nearly completely drained the boy, and it didn't seem like he was going to make any sort of progress on his technique if he didn't put much more preparation into each and every aspect of the jutsu itself.

The boy took a deep breath as he sat down on the soft grass, taking a look towards the tree as he began to wonder just why he was working so hard on a jutsu that might not even be worth it in the long run. Sure he had heard that this jutsu would have a much higher skill cap than hell stab did, and that this might be able to be built upon into better jutsu, but was it really worth it when he could be training other jutsu? He stood up, this doubt was anything but helpful at the moment. He was going to learn this technique, and he was positive that it would be worth it. Self doubt was something Takamitsu didn't have time for, so it was something that he wasn't going to pay any mind to as he continued his training. He began the series of hand signs once again, hoping that this time he would be able to destroy the tree and go home to prepare for the rest of his day. Sparks once again began to emanate from his hand as he prepared to perform a burst of Chidori. The sound seemed different this time, his chakra was much more concentrated, and the buzzing began to change. It almost seemed like hundreds of birds were calling out from the source of electricity that was coming from his hand as he swiftly dashed towards the tree. The power was obviously different as the ground was torn up underneath him as he began to run towards the tree that he had previously taken a chunk out of. The sheer amount of noise produced from his hand became more and more intense as he ran, the chirping beginning to seem more like the angered call from thousands of birds. He raised his hand from the ground and moved it upwards towards the tree, extending his hand outwards. His hand collided, a rather large burst being created from the electrical energy in his hand. This burst, unlike Hell Stab, was powerful enough to send Takamitsu backwards, the genin gaining several seconds of air time until his unconscious body fell to the ground, his hand covered in minor burns.

The boy wasn't quite sure how long he had gone unconscious for, but the sun had already passed the horizon and let early morning rays illuminate the training grounds. Takamitsu didn't quite feel finished yet, but he also didn't have much time left to train. He didn't want to rush the learning and risk injuring himself further than he already has, so he was only going to give it one more shot before he finished for now. Takamitsu softly pulled himself off of the ground and began to perform the hand seals for Chidori one more time, this time performing the simpler series. It definitely was harder for him to do, but after bringing his chakra to his hand and beginning to change its form and nature, he had a pretty decent jutsu started. Now all he had to do was run forward and hit something. A rock was a decent target, he decided, so Takamitsu began his mad dash towards the rather sizeable boulder that he had set his sights on. He raised his hand to collide with it, and his attack had pierced directly into the material, blowing a sizeable hole directly through it. Maybe next time he trained, he'd after focus a bit more on rocks instead of trees. The boy withdrew his hand from the stone and slowly stood up, looking up towards the sky. Takamitsu didn't quite have the time that he hoped he would, so he wouldn't be able to successfully learn the jutsu during his current training session. It didn't really matter in the long run, though, as he'd be able to work on the technique later in the day when he had time, maybe he could use it on the few genin that had defected. He laughed slightly as he stretched and began to head back towards the village, hoping that he wasn't going to be late for another team meeting.
