Kōmori Hozuki Genin Exams

Kōmori had a rather hard time falling asleep the night before, due to the sheer prospect of being promoted to a genin. He woke up before the sun came up, and being relatively smart, used the extra time to study, since he fully knew he would not be able to contain his excitement. After having a good breakfast at home, he bid farewell to his brother Kōmon, who had already graduated prior, before darting out of their apartment complex and down the street towards the academy. He was among some of the first ones there, taking his seat to await their proctor’s arrival.

It was an exeptionally cold morning and Akihana could be found at the academy once more. The blonde had quickly settled into the routine of proctoring Genin exams twice a week and found she enjoyed the task greatly. More than rediscovering a part of herself the blonde had thought she lost for good, it gave her the opportunity to meet the next generation. It was nice to see hope springing forth in Kumogakure despite the coming winter.

For a moment, the kumoichi longed for the unforgiving heat of Haven, picturing the sand soaked sun scorching to the touch.

She missed home.

But she had work to do. So letting the fire nature chakra in her spill ever so slightly into her bloodstream, the young bride began the process of warming herself up. It took some concentration as she hadn't performed the simple jutsu in a long time - in Hoshi, citizens saught ways to keep cool not warm - but after a few minutes, a healthy pink glow appeared on her formerly palce face. A few more minutes later and she was able to remove her cloak entirely, revealing the simple pink dress she wore.

She was all warmed up and ready to go when the next candidates arrived. Greeting them with a kind smile, she began to spoke. "Welcome, please come in. You're the first batch for today. When I call your name, please step forwards and perform the transformation and clone technique. Also give two non combative uses for them."

She began with a girl who stuttered but managed to pass nontheless. The next two boys were not so lucky. The fourth name she called out was "Komori Hozuki, please come to the front and take your turn."

   Not having to be the first one called would usually take a portion of the edge away, however after seeing two of his classmates fail shortly before he went up made the wait unbearable. Even though Kōmori had been expecting to hear his name, he was still caught off guard when he was finally called up. He had shone proficiency with the two jutsus that he would need to perform, the Transformation Technique and the Clone Jutsu, but practicing them and performing them in front of an audience were two separate concepts entirely. He hesitantly exited his desk and made his way to the front of the classroom. The focused eyes of all of his peers looking upon him made him noticeably tense up, before the proctor decided to calm his nerves and gave him a soothing smile. That gave Kōmori an idea.
   It was at that moment that Kōmori’s instructor Gorami walked into the room through the door located in the back of the room. He was wearing the traditional jounin garb of the Village Hidden in the Clouds. Gorami was leaning against the wall with his left leg lifted up in a casual manner and looked on with a vaguely disinterested but overall curious demeanor. For a moment, this unnerved Kōmori, but the more he thought about Gorami and the help that his teachings provided, the more confidence he felt surging through him.
   He decided to start with the Transformation Technique, despite being a very difficult one. Kōmori said the handsigns aloud as he moved his hands in the proper manner. “Dog!” Kōmori made a fist with his right hand and covered it with his left hand in a fluid, single motion. “Boar!” He drew his fingers in, touching his palms and turning his hands downward so that his wrists were facing up. “Ram!” He extended his index and middle fingers on both hands, with his left hand overlapping his right before exclaiming, “Transformation Jutsu!” A column of smoke erupted around him only to dissipate as quickly as it appeared. Kōmori had transformed into his blonde proctor, giving her the identical smile she had given him which caught her off guard. He spoke up, “The Transformation Technique allows for a shinobi to appear to look like another person. Someone could use this jutsu to focus their chakra control, as it takes a lot of concentration to maintain. This skill is particularly difficult to learn because it requires for the caster to always be-”. He became distracted by the look a cute girl in his class was giving him, which caused his face, or rather the proctor’s face he was borrowing, to turn a violent shade of red before disappearing in a cloud of smoke. “Concentrating.” Kōmori finished, now back in his normal state. His peers laughed at how flustered their fellow classmate had become, until the proctor made the class quiet down.
   Although he felt like cowering away from their ridicule, Kōmori was not about to give up on his chance to earn his promotion to genin. Shutting his eyes and tuning out the noise of the classroom, he focused on his own breathing pattern. As the noise died down and the attention refocused onto him, Kōmori began weaving handsigns. “Ram!” He extended his index and middle fingers into the air, just like he had for the transformation jutsu, with the left hand overlapping the right. “Snake!” He then quickly transitions into clasping his hands together tightly to form the handsign. “ “Tiger!” he switched handseals relatively easily here because the Snake seal can be turned in the Tiger seal by simply extending one’s index fingers upwards towards one’s mouth. Kōmori shouted, “Clone Jutsu!” A foggy puff of smoke appeared next to the nervous boy revealing a perfect mirror image of himself. Gorami, his instructor, had pushed his students, especially Kōmori, harder than any of the other instructors, and it appeared his work had paid off. The man lowered his head and hid a proud smile over the results of the work one of his brightest students had put so much time and effort in. He saw his proctor scribble something down on her clipboard which worried him, but he shook the feeling. He began to inform the class, “The Clone Jutsu can be used to, as the name suggests, create a clone of the caster.” He paused for a moment, searching for the right words before resuming his speech, “Clones can be used to distract someone. However, the clones can’t be used for chores or taking your place in a test. because they can’t actually interact with anything. Watch this.” He turned to face the clone before pulling a kunai and jumping towards it. Kōmori slashed across the clone, but the kunai simply passed through. Once on the other side, he released the clone, which vanished in a tuft of smoke. Kōmori then stood straight before bowing to the blonde haired proctor and then again to his class. On the way back to his seat, he saw the proud look upon his instructor’s face.

Your post is very good, I'd just point out a warning on GM-ing before I make a reply. You mention several times that Akihana does things I did not mention her doing like scribbling on her clipboard and quietening the class. I know these are very minor and reasonable things to assume and I personally don't mind a bit. I'll even include all these actions in my post to further legitimize yours.

However, what you did does fall under GM-ing, which is basically controlling another players actions. GM-ing is forbidden on this site and everyone doesn't take so kindly to it so please be more careful next time.

Also, bumping is allowed only once every 24 hours. No sooner than that. <3
