A Spar Among Friends [io]

Today was the day to make new friends. Waking up to a normal day (unlike the others), she woke up Waizu no pō and informed her of the day ahead of them. She had informed her acquaintance Kōmon Hyuga that she would like to spar with him, and that anyone he wanted to invite was welcome too. Eating some cereal, she felt that she was ready to take on someone, and this chance could show even herself her true combat skills. Getting her gear on, she walked out of the house with Waizu and walked to Kōmon’s place. Feeling ready, she knocked on the door.

Kōmon woke up in the morning and headed to his brother Kōmori’s room. He followed their morning routine and removed the makeshift curtain that covered his window. The sun would be rising higher in the sky soon, so the sunlight would wake him up. He made his way to the kitchen where he began cooking breakfast for the two of them. He had just finished eating his share of the meal when he heard a knock at the door. “Oh hey Beafōsu come on in.”

Kōmori woke up once more to the sunlight penetrating through his eyelids, as was the norm for his morning routine. Kōmon always woke up before him and acted like a wake up call. Kōmori , still half asleep, walked into the kitchen and grabbed some breakfast that Kōmon had already made. He sat down at the table and heard his brother’s voice from the adjacent living room, which had no wall to separate the two. Kōmori looked up to see Kōmon having a conversation with a girl he did not recognize, and a bear that stood next to her on all fours. He looked back down at his food before taking another bite. As he was chewing, his eyes opened wide and focused on the bear that was in his house. He swallowed the food before shouting to the stranger and Kōmon, “Why, in the shinobi world, is there a BEAR in the house?!”

“I'm assuming that's your… twin brother?” turning to Kōmori. “I'll have you know that in this Shinobi world, all of the Shinobi aren't human. This bear is on the same level, and most likely higher than you are. Being a Genin, both me and Waizu deserve the same respect as you do. And if you don't seem to be emitting that respect, I’ll tell you right now that I will personally crush you. You don't deserve to be a ninja.” She said, scolding at the figure that stood behind her friend. Turning to Kōmon, she asked if this was the person who was joining us.

“Yeah he's my brother, and he meant no disrespect. It's just not everyday you wake up to a bear in your house.” Kōmon told her “this groups getting off to a rough start already” he thought to himself. Kōmon then looked to his brother said “right” more of a command than a question. “Anyways if we want to train we should probably start heading out. Anyone know a 3rd guy we can train with? I met a guy named Yugure but I don't think he's made genin yet.. So thats a no go.” Kōmon said as he began to exit the apartment.

“Hey, wait up!” Kōmori shouted after them as they headed out the door. He grabbed his black and blue hoodie from the coat hanger on the wall next to the door, pulling it over his head as he closed the door behind him. The newly formed trio navigated through the village until they came upon the training grounds.

Walking with Kōmon and Kōmori he turned to this new figure and said, “So you’re Kōmori of the Hozuki clan correct? I assume you’re water release due to that title, which means you and your brother are a very great pair.” Looking forward to the path ahead she was wondering a couple of things. However, in particular she was wondering how twins, born to the exact same parents, could have different last names. Sure there were a lot of different answers, but she didn’t feel it was appropriate to ask. Once they got to the training grounds, she saw a figure, whom she remembered as a Genin, with split hair and a muscular build. Knowing they were going to do a sparring match, she wanted to see if this boy wanted to join. “Uhh, hey! You’re a genin right? Well, we were looking for a fourth person for a two v. two spar, and we wanted to know if you’d like to join us!” She said, yelling to the boy, hoping for a positive response.

Kamina was surprised most people didn't just come up to him like that. Usually they would leave him alone and he was used to that. He didn't even know these people but Ryden sensei had been pressuring him to make friends. And Ryden wasn't here to train with so he needed someone to fight. So what the hell he thought this is killing two birds with one stone. “Yeah,” he said awkwardly, “sure I would like to join you guys” as Kamina said that he had second thoughts , but he had already agreed so that was a done deal. Kamina decided that this isn't that bad I mean what's the worst that can happen.

“Alright so we will split into two teams me and my brother will be one and Beafōsu and the new guy will be team 2. Kōmon began walking to the opposite side of a clearing and instructed his brother to follow. He liked the idea of the fight. “Beafōsu is strong from what I’ve seen but this new guy is a complete mystery. It’ll be fun to have to adapt with no prior knowledge of the enemy” he thought to himself. Scanning the field he looked to the young genin in red wondering what his abilities might be. “ALRIGHT! Are you guys ready!” he shouted the question directing it at all three of them.

Kōmori was glad that Kōmon had chosen to start on the side with a small body of water near it, as that was an important necessity for his favored jutsu. He told himself the seals for water release: snake's mouth over and over in his head, making sure he would not forget for the sparring match. He and Kōmon’s chakra natures complimented each other pretty well and could possibly be combined to increase their jutsus strength even further. He went into a fighting stance before flashing a cocky smirk. “Ready!”
