Kalix learning the Genjutsu Release Technique (T)

The Lava was learned. Now it was time to truly hone the senses beyond that of his clan’s heritage. Kalix was definitely not familiar with genjutsu. He didn’t know what to do in a situation when he was in Genjutsu. Kalix decided that before he joined a team he would need to learn these sacred techniques. He would have to understand how important these techniques were to being a better ninja. If he was ever trapped in a genjutsu there would be no way for Kalix to get out of it at this point in time. This would make him almost worthless against many ninja in the world. So Kalix had to make some precautions.
The first logical thing Kalix wanted to achieve was actually learn how to use genjutsu release. Being able to recognize the genjutsu was important but being able to get out of it was far more important. There were going to be times when he was in a team or he was able to make himself get out of it by just sheer skill or dumb luck.
After waking up early again and taking some time to read some books on genjutsu he would go to the shrine to meditate. This time that meditation was extremely important to Kalix in that instead of focusing on a mantra or going through some sort of ritual to make himself perform better he focused on making sure that he was focusing in on all the sights and sounds of the nature around him. The waves, the people, the feelings of the cold and mist coming into the village, and everything sensory that he could possibly do within himself.
To Kalix he believed that the best way to defend against something other than reality was to actually understand the nature of reality as it is now. It’s important to always be aware of what is going on around a ninja. So if there was ever a time that his reality was distorted he could find it and release himself from it. After his meditation he would begin to head to his training beach to focus on the hand sign and chakra flow of the technique. The first thing that Kalix did was master making the hand signs and thinking to himself “release”. By doing that he would attempt to release the genjutsu.
He would push onward to actually kneading chakra into the technique. The first thing that he did was do the technique but just with no chakra at all. Now that was mastered he would muster all the chakra he could to expel any genjutsu out of him. Every time he did it however he realized how daunting of a task that could be.
He would have to train his stamina and endurance if he was to go into a long winded fight. He would need to practice the technique more so that he wouldn’t fatigue himself. But no matter. Kalix was satisfied with understanding the technique and decided to head home.
