Chisana Kiseki, Genin Exam

The littlest student of her class walked through the main doors with her head held high. She was here to accomplish her latest challenge, her examination to become a Genin. Today she wore her nicest purple sweater and teal dress, clean of all dirt and grime. Her face was washed and her nails were clean. She wanted to be the best, in appearance and in skills - that may or may not have been the inspiration of a teen magazine she'd seen the day before. Her hair was even tightly wound up into a neat tangle of five braids all tied up onto her head, only a few short strands of hair slipped behind her ears and her short bangs of course were left to sway in her light, bouncy walk. She'd even neatly wound her beaded necklace about her neck, free from loose jingles. Distractions were to be eliminated today, for today was the first step of many. 

She entered confidently into the room for the exam and found a free seat among a few other aspiring students. There would be just a few minutes before it would begin, and she spent this time reviewing the techniques in her head, feeling the warmth of the chakra within and tuning out the buzz of nervousness she felt from the other students. She wasn't sure whom would be the examiner, but she had studied and she had practiced and this would go smoothly, she was sure of it.

Once again, Akihana found herself amidst a crowd of new Genin seeking extra lessons. Since her early morning classes in fire ninjutsu had gone over so well, the kunoichi had decided to dedicate more time to the Genin, encouraging them to seek help whenever they felt in need of it. Today, it was too cold to conduct the lesson outside so the two dozen Genin were crowded around the blonde in a back classroom, watching her twirl a kunai in her hand.

"Lightning is more than just an element," she stated, twirling the weapon gently, "it can help you a lot more than you think it can, if used properly." With that, she absently tossed the kunai at the target, it hit dead center just as everyone expected it to.

"But Miss, we can do that too."

"Indeed you can, Sora-kun," the First Lady grinned, picking up another kunai off the desk. "But have you tried this?"

Focusing on the kunai, Akihana held it between her fingers until the weapon began to crackle with charged electricity. Once she had coated it in enough lighting chakra, the medic threw it at the target once again, once again it hit dead center.

Cutting neatly through the steel kunai that was already stuck to the target. The former kunai shattered to the floor, broken neatly in two.

"Wow..." the boy breathed, making Akihana grin.

"Now, your homework it go home and try to charge your weapon, don't throw it unless you're out in the open and there's no one around to accidentally hit. You're all ninja so I expect you to use your weapon carefully," she reminded them before dismissing the Genin. Making her way to the front desk, the medic collected her papers for the Genin exams being conducted and ehaded to the corresponding exam room.

"Hello everyone," she greeted the hopefuls with a warm smile. It was common for students to be nervous and Akihana always did her best to put their fears to rest. "I'm Akihana and I'll be your proctor this morning. When I call your name, please come to the front and perform the clone and transformation justsu, also, tell me a situation in which these two techniques would be absolutely useless."

Looking down at her register, the blonde picked a name at random. "How about Miss Chisana Kiseki, would you like to go first?"

Their proctor entered with an aura of ease, centering the entirety of attention in the classroom upon herself with a glance. Great skill and strength had entered, as well as precision of point. She welcomed them and named the expectations. Chisana was put at no indifference, she knew these techniques like the back of her hand. Clone jutsu as the expressing of a chakra copy of yourself for use in distraction specifically for combat. Transformation jutsu, for use to blend in, in circumstances that require that of discreet nature. But as for the responses at hand, Chisana felt a slight discomfort. Tell the Proctor in which ways these techniques would be absolutely useless? She came in as book smart as always, expecting to express the uses of battle, technique histories and that of their properties, but not their disadvantage. In fact she had spent the entirety of her morning routine studying notes and scribbles and scrolls to ensure her success here. And these are the questions? 

She had to be wise, she realized. Wisdom is the key here, for knowing when to and when to not use a skill is the true test. That's really what she's asking.

 However, she had been called and promptly she responded with a nod and stepping about her seat to a position in front of her proctor that was comfortable.

There might have been an expectancy of nerves, however Chisana was pleased to find herself calm and centered. Ready for action, one might say. She brushed a slipping strand of hair back behind her ear and proceeded to the technique at hand. 

"I am Chisana Kiseki. I will perform the requested Clone Technique, Transform Technique, and responses as to when these two techniques would be absolutely useless." She stated, as studious as the book worm she has been. Precision. Chisana mantra ed to herself. Precision, and you shall not fail.  

She produced the necessary hand signs efficiently, drew the chakra quickly and with the expertise of immense practice, two clones appeared in image of her self from the strawberry wine hair, to the purple sweater, every bead a match and barefoot as usual. They stood as calm and attentive as their original, ready for any and every command. "Clone Technique, as asked." Chisana, strict as a soldier, stated. 

It was the next technique that might have been a bit showy of nature the slender shinobi produced. She moved through the hand signs, stretching her chakra and imagining the exactness in her mind. Would it be that she should image the proctor? No, that were too obvious. That of a student? There were of one student sitting just a seat behind her. The boy had come in, a nervous wreck, black haired, brown eyed, in fact pale as a spirit. This complete opposite persona would be a good reflection for the transformation technique. She projected this boy into her mind in as much high definition as the imagination allowed. And then moved this projection upon her clones and then of herself, and poof, there were in perfect unison, a small squad of this poor student in all his antsy glory. 

The poor boy reacted poorly in his intense state, shocked, she would assume, at this randomized act of choice. 

"Transformation Jutsu, as requested." she stated once more, releasing the clones and the transformation she moved to the last piece of this puzzle. She boggled her mind only a bit, for in her studies she knew, as long as you know it's one good use, you shall know its opposite. Or something she hoped. 

"Clone Jutsu would be useless for a lot of duties really." She begun, hands clasped behind her back, the stillness of her stature her own strength. Her answer falling out of her mouth on the fly, with the clear evidence and dictation of a dictionary. "As they are intangible, they can not strike with physical strength, they can only take a single hit before disbursement. So in this, they can't be used in hand to hand combat except as a distraction. They will not be able to actually place harm on the enemy, unless tied with, say a substitution jutsu. They can't relay information, as they are only an image projected through chakra, they don't have a mind of their own to spy or study. And as for the other, Transformation Jutsu would be useless in much common duels due to the strain it can hold upon the user. If focus of chakra is slightly disbanded, from a strong attack or distraction or forcing the hand to use the chakra elsewhere, the enemy will be able to break this jutsu. Thus causing it to be, as mentioned, useless and the identity of the user will be known, chakra as such wasted." 

This was all book smart, but was it enough? Chisana awaited patiently to know. Nothing but a cool look across her face, though the excitement buzzed within. Failure couldn't be an option here. She had kept to her wits and performed accurately.

The neatly dressed girl had certainly taken an interesting route with her jutsu demonstration, she even held up well under a decidedly unconventional line of questioning, all the hallmarks of making a good shinobi. Once the young lady was done, Akihana grinned at the class in general. "Well everyone, we've just seen a very creative use of jutsu as well as a creative use of thinking on your feet," she complimented, picking up one of the headbands laid out on her desk.

"Congratulations Chisana-chan, you are now a Genin of Kumogakure. Wear this headband with pride and know that you are a member of our elite team that serves this village." Handing her the headband, Akihana would direct her to the front desk where she would find more information about mission and her duties and responsibilities as a new shinobi of the cloud.

Once Chisana had left, the blonde would turn to the rest of the class, proctoring their exams one by one in more or less the same fashion.

Chisana blinked twice, a smile curling to her lips in pride. She had accomplished this task as planned. But she hadn't really expected to have the Proctor welcome her as one of the village. Essentially she had always felt to stay on her feet, investigations and questioning were more what she was accustomed. But she stepped forward and accepted both the information and her head band as reward, exiting with a high spirit.
