”I just need a chakra signature to trick the boy a bit, and for that I need a second chakra signature.” He whispered to the wolf knowing it could hear him no matter how loudly he spoke. However, Shouhei wasn’t quite sure if the hissing that came about from whispering would make the sound painful to the inner ear of a wolf. Well if it did he was sure Fukako would let him know before Shouhei could even bring it up.

But that aside. The game went on, and after a bit of time had passed, Shouhei was not sure if Nano had discovered his location yet. But before he for sure knew he did by opening his eyes, he would pick up the ball, and then threw it in one direction for Fukako to chase – yes, he was that evil for his friends – while Shouhei ran in the other direction. If Fukako did chase the ball and came back with it, Shouhei would meet him halfway. Otherwise he would just run back next to the sizeable wolf.

His next trick – yes, he was going to be cheesy about this – he needed some water, and low and behold, he might just have enough in the nearby puddle of water. It wasn’t enough to make any weapons of it, but there was enough to use the Water Replacement Technique. At the speed of his reaction time (125 = 50+75) he did the Tiger → Boar → Ox → Dog → Snake hand seals causing Shouhei to disappear and exchange place with the water.

In his new position about five meters away, Shouhei tried not to laugh thinking he was being real cleaver. He had expected to land father away from his previous position, but it was his first time using the technique so such miscalculations were the least of his mistakes. Now for his next trick, he would sneak back to his previous spot where the puddle was and hold his hands ready again for another set of hand seals. Stepping a foot into the puddle and doing the Ox → Dog → Snake at the speed of 29 he fused into the pool from the effects of Hiding in the Water Technique, and it was somewhat successful. However, he only was in the water for a few seconds before he came back out.

When their little game was over, Shouhei stood up with his hands on his pockets. “Good job, Nano. Now I can’t hide from you.” He smiled. “Spooky.” He followed up in a slight teasing and comedic tone.

“So about that sparring.” Shouhei took out a kunai. “I’ll give you a free shot with the best and most destructive attack you can perform.” He quickly looked towards Fukako. “Well except that I would protest Fukako chewing on my leg.” He smirked in a playful way. "After that I will give you ten second to hide."

And with that, Shouhei made himself ready to perform the medical energy shielding technique that would put up a shield around him. Shouhei knew as much that if Nano could break through it, he was a scary genin already.

Honestly, Nano had completely forgotten about sparring until Shouhei had mentioned it. He had been too interested in the Chakra sensory. Opening his eyes and standing up, Nano grinned. He got the first shot? This would be exciting. He'd finally get to try out his A ranked jutsu on an actual foe. Beginning to coax out his wind Chakra, he felt the familiar feeling of the unpredictable flowing nature of the wind surging through his veins until eventually it started building up in his palms. Glancing at Shouhei, Nano swiped his hand from left to right horizontally in front of him as fast as he could and released the build up of energy. The resulting silver crescent would then race towards his teacher/tutor/friend/sparring partner at a speed of 60 and a power of 60 as well as a sharpness of 60. The crescent would be two meters across and will continue forward for 40 metres unless it hits something.

This was Nano's most powerful move at this point in time so he would follow the orders given and use it. He would then use his 10 seconds to the best of his ability to use the bodyflicker and 'teleport' at a speed of 110 to a bush which was 110 metres away. However, Nano knew that hiding was futile. If Shouhei was capable of teaching him how to sense Chakra, he had no doubt that he would be able to sense his. Thus, he would make little effort to mask his presence and while still in the bush, would stand up to prepare for any oncoming disturbance. Using such a powerful technique along with a body flicker would have worn Nano out and he was fairly sure this battle was already lost. While that was the case, Nano still would make the best of his chance to test out his capabilities. This didn't happen all that often and he was more than willing to fail a couple of times if in the long run it helped him progress in his shinobi career.

Shouhei had expected a few more words to be shared between him and Nano. Not like to warn him that the attack was coming, but just your usual banter that made the sharing of fists more enjoyable. That was not to say Shouhei would judge him. He could after all just be using all of his focus on the technique he was about to perform.

“Wow wow ow!” The words just burst out of Shouhei’s mouth as what he judged to be a wind based technique came towards him. Something a lot more powerful than he had expected from a newly minted genin. Well Shouhei had asked for it before – literally – so he couldn’t complain, and instead of complaining he used the technique he had planned to use a minute or so ago. Some techniques could only be shot at a specific speed. Say a fireball could only fly at 40 speed, but there were others that only realized on the user’s reaction time. And this was the case with the technique Shouhei was going to use.

At a speed of 135 a shield made of the chakra that was normally used to heal people formed around Shouhei forming a protective barrier of 65 power causing an effect of 65 Damage Reduction. The wind technique when it came into contact with the shield, bended the aura around Shouhei greatly, but did not completely break it. In any event, it was clear to see that Shouhei was unshaven by the attack, and even if it had broken through the protective barrier, the flak jacket he wore might have taken the rest of the damage that would have been directed at his torso.

Shouhei was about to congratulate the boy and even uttered the words “That’s good, Nano. Now-.“ When he disappeared from his sight right there and then making Shouhei ponder if he took this more serious than he did. In any event, Shouhei shrugged then said: “We can play catch if you want.” He said in a slight teasing tone. “But that also means you get three minutes to hide yourself or attack me. Though I figure I will thank your companion here first for his participation.” Shouhei followed as he grabbed the last piece of meat he could find in his lunch basket, and hand it to Fukako to see if there was any interest. If there were, well he got it, and if not he would put it back into the basket. In any event, he went back into searching for Nano moving at a speed of 30 to keep things on the slow side. He still had that kunai in his hand from before.

From his position in the bush, Nano could clearly see that his attack had been unsuccessful. Whatever Shouhei had done, it had been cool and definitely strong. Hopefully he wouldn't be able to use it again for a long while. Seeing as his first attempt had failed, he would have to keep at it and try to keep up for as long as he could manage. However, he had a feeling that Shouhei was stronger than he was. He had been a genin for longer and judging off the barrier he had just produced, he was proficient in defensive manoeuvres. With that, Nano made the decision to start up another battle. Ideally he would be able to come out of it unscathed but at this point he was beginning to doubt himself. Sprinting up to Shou, Nano would swipe his hand once he reaches a small tree ten metres away from his opponent. This would create another two metre wide crescent of pressurised air straight towards where Shouhei would be standing horizontally, heading for his chest (60power 60speed 60sharpness). As the jutsu fires towards his sparring partner, Nano would stand lazily and begin speaking. "I could do this blindfolded. I'm not too weak. Please, don't hold back. Unless it means I die. I'd rather enjoy keeping my life."

While he would seem to be standing lazily, Nano would remain vigilant and would be keeping a close check on Shouhei's Chakra signature. If he were to make any sudden changes, Nano would know of it instantly. He would then wait for his opponent's possible counterattack. While this was all happening, Fukako would have slowly approached Shouhei to grab the piece of meat and would then proceed to munch on it for a couple of seconds. Once satisfied that he had 'claimed' that piece of meat as his for a later time, Fukako would stash the food behind a bush and would then gently nudge Shouhei with his head. He would then say, "I am beginning to become bored. I will join in your petty game. I'll stick with you I guess, it'd be good to find some of Nano's weaknesses seeing as he wishes for me to become his partner." Fukako would then wait for some sign of approval from Shouhei.

It would appear that things did not pan out as Shouhei had anticipated for this little guy he was facing called Nano had a lot more gusto than he had ever imagined from such a small person of his age! It was an awesome feeling, but Shouhei also had to admit he was glad he never really deactivated his shielding around the time when Nano decided to follow up his barrage as he came charging from the bushes. As for the shield, it would appear that the second verse was the same as the first, as the razor shaped wind attack blasted against the shield again, but still wasn’t able to break it. Shouhei never really said anything in this period, but just smiled at the youngling in an approving fashion. “Well I am going to give you that then. Prepare your spirit, Nano for this is going to be your first real match!” Shouhei said as he deactivated his shield, and we cut to the event of him feeding the large wolf.

So Fukako had become bored and wanted to play along. “You’re welcome to.” Shouhei whispered back at the large wolf. However, Shouhei wasn’t sure how to involve this wolf in their training session without it seeming like they were colliding with each other. Checking the equipment in his flak jacking mentally while keeping his hands on his hips, and making sure not to make any sudden movement to startle Nano, Shouhei realized something very important. He had his water scrolls – something very important for a water user like him as it allowed him to save on his chakra reserves – which he could use to his advance. Shouhei just wondered if Fukako could forgive him for this.

Swiftly at a speed of 75, Shouhei moved his hands towards his weapon’s pouch to make Nano think he was going for a shuriken. Although he didn’t have any there as he preferred having them in his Summoning Gloves, but he wasn’t sure if Nano had noticed them yet as the signs of them were only noticeable on the wrist area of his arm. While one hand went for the pouch his other went for his water scrolls at a similar speed letting both of them slide into his hands. He threw one of the scroll with a throwing speed of 93 (30+75/2 = 53 (rounded down to nearest whole) + 40) and with a momentum that was equal to 93 power of force, directly at Nano’s center mass with the idea of triggering Fukako’s chase instinct like had happened so many times before today. "Catch big guy." He said when he threw it. Thereafter at the speed of 37 Shouhei made sure to sidestep the large wolf where after he placed the scroll on the ground and activated it in unison at a speed of 75 causing a large amount of water to flow out. There he stood ready to see how Nano had reacted with water for his techniques and maybe a scroll somewhere in the bushes he could activate later.

Seeing that his Beast Tearing Palm had failed once again, Nano realised he would have to try something else at least until that shield went away. Fortunately for him, Shouhei retracted the shield after his previous attack. After hearing the response regarding not holding back, Nano grinned. This would be fun. Watching his opponent converse with his summon in whispers arose many suspicions in Nano's head. From what he could tell, Fukako seemed to be teaming up with Shou in some way. At least that was what he thought. When his sparring partner reached down to his pouch to grab something, Nano didn't know what to expect. He had noticed that they both had the same Summoning Gloves and he had assumed that Kunai and Shuriken were better suited for the gloves than the pouches. His guess was either that wasn't the case for Shouhei or he had something else up his sleeve.

His guess was confirmed when his opponent pulled out a scroll of sorts. He had never seen such a thing used in combat before. Considering he had never really had a battle before, that wasn't seeing all that much. For all he knew this could be a regular occurrence. When the scroll was thrown towards him, Nano barely had enough time to complete the single handseal for the bodyflicker. Landing only 10 metres away from his original position, Nano let out a sigh of relief. He was so glad he had dodged that. The main reason he didn't want to be hit by the scroll was that the huge wolf summon had chased the scroll and once it had landed and he had caught up, he dived down and began mauling it. After a couple moments of biting the paper, Fukako eventually dragged it towards a nearby bush about 15 metres away from Nano's left side and peed on it. Yes, peed on it. All the while, he glared at Shouhei for taking advantage of his instincts. The scroll was probably still capable of doing whatever it was it does but Nano doubted anybody would want to touch it again. With a loud bark, Fukako stepped over to Nano's side and barked out in his gravelly voice, "I will be siding with you for this battle. I hope that isn't a problem." Nano then replied, "Of course not, I brought you here to train with you in the first place."

With that, the two would begin their attack. Mooching off the water which Shouhei had recently created at his feet, Fukako would quickly do the tiger handseal at a speed of 60 causing two clones  to appear next to him on either side. The three of them, two clones and one real, would then charge in at a speed of 30 so as to not let Shouhei know which was the real deal. The real Fukako could actually run at a speed of 60 but the clones could only do half of that unfortunately. Due to the way they were created, Shouhei should not be able to know which of the wolves is real. After reaching Shou, the three would make a loose circle around him with only 2 or so feet between them and him. Assuming the clones were still existent at this point, they would all simultaneously attempt to bite different parts of his body. The chest, the back of the head and the arse because shinobi have no honour so neither do their summons. Should that be successful, they would then attempt to tackle Shouhei to the ground and begin draining his Chakra.

While the Wolves would be attacking Shouhei, Nano would be standing behind the Wolves building up Chakra. To fully utilise his the combo rapid fire aspect of the Beast Tearing Palm, Nano would once again swipe his arm and create a silver crescent heading towards Shou's knees (60 for everything, you know the drill). If all were to go to plan, the wind jutsu would hit exactly in time with the wolf attack. Seeing as he was a ninjutsu specialist, Nano wouldn't attempt hand to hand combat unless completely necessary, leaving that to his wolf summon which was closer to Shou in regard to speed and such. After launching the wind attack, Nano would wait to see how everything pans out and to get the timing perfect for a little trick he had thought up.

What Shouhei saw took him by surprise. Well not that Fukako took offence to Shouhei had used him as a tank to tackle Nano for a small basket of amusements and then teamed up with Nano. What surprised him was that the dog acted like an untrained puppy dog and peed on it. He was also a bit surprised by something else, and that was how Nano was even able to do the handseals needed to get out of the way of his scroll or how the wolf was able to catch it so soon. The way Shouhei had calculated it, its speed should simply have been too fast for Nano to react to with the distance it had to travel. Shouhei had no idea how it happened, but now Nano was over there with Fukako scheming about what to do next.

In any event, while the two was scheming against him, Shouhei still stood in the poodle of water he had created, and he wasn’t really feeling like fighting Nano nor Fukako anymore with how Fukako had treated his scroll; his handicraft. It was simply disgusting to him, and while they probably couldn’t see it because of the distance between them, Shouhei had a small look of distaste on his face. Well her had to be classy about this so he looked up like he was noticing the sun, then down to his wrist watch. “Sorry Nano.” He yelled to the two. “But I have to take my sister to a birthday party, and promised my mother to buy her these special chocolates before I pick up my sister.”

His hands formed the >Ram< seal at the speed of 75, and he followed up. “See you another time. If you are ever hurt feel free to look me up. I’m a medical ninja after all.” There after Shouhei disappeared – or at least attempted to – in a puff of smoke at the speed of 125 (50 chakra + 75 speed), and the same amount of distance in meters. At his new destination – towards east – Shouhei started to run home. He figured he would pick up his basket later. The scrolls he could make new of, but that basket would need to be brought back home at some point or he would have to buy a new one. And that might not even make up for it as it had her sister favorite cloth in it. This realization made Shouhei curse himself a bit as he travelled “home”.

Seeing Shouhei teleport away, Nano wiped a small bit of sweat off of his forehead. While he didn't use much of his total AP, the fight had still been quite taxing for him. Considering this was his first ever battle with another shinobi, Nano was quite proud with his performance. He had held his own fairly well. However, he was fairly sure Shouhei had been holding back. He knew that Shouhei was much stronger than him so there was no way he would be able to last that long had he been going all out. While he was saddened at the loss of a sparring partner, Nano knew that other things in life were sometimes much more important than training. He himself had never had a family to help out but he was sure that Shouhei cared deeply for them.

Seeing as he knew that Shouhei could have won quite easily, Nano promised to himself that one day he would surpass Shou and beat him in a sparring match. However, he would need to train hard to do so if he ever wanted to make it possible and to train hard one must be well rested. With this train of thought Nano decided to desummon Fukako and walk back to his home to take a nap.
