Sei's Clone Technique Training
Wed Feb 08, 2017 10:51 am
Sei found himself once again leaving the academy in a rush, detaching himself from the flow of students exiting the academy and completely ignoring those who wished to talk to him. He didn't have time for it now, the Clone Technique needed to be learned.
Sei had spent every hour of his free time in 'his' clearing nearby the orphanage, studying from his mother's journal or attempting various E-Rank jutsu with only some success so far. Today, he WILL learn the clone technique.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Clone Technique. E-Rank. Handsigns.....Sei had another look at his notes, nodding to himself after memorising the Ram, Snake and Tiger handsigns in his head. This jutsu while difficult for a student should not be considered anywhere near as difficult as the trails Sei had yet to face. He quickly paced to the centre of the clearing, taking what he dubbed his 'training position'. In simple terms he crouched lightly, his head level with where his shoulders would be if he were standing upright. It seemed to give the boy more balance and clarity when he was training but with no formal training besides the academy he had little idea as to why.
Carefully, Sei made the Ram, Snake and Tiger handsigns, pushing a subtle flow of chakra into the space beside him. The flow was timid and slow however. In a small puff of obscuring smoke an attempted copy appeared. Hunched over, malnourished and about to keel over. It looked nothing like the healthy boy. In fact, even with the pathetic flow of chakra still attempting to feed the clone it quickly dissipated, leaving Sei frustrated and annoyed. He'd misjudged the chakra costs. A frequent mistake of his.
With a deep, annoyed sigh he turned to a nearby tree, staring the peaceful sight down as he approached for several seconds before slowly bringing his fist back with practised ease. Then the bandaged fist rocketed forth, striking the oak and leaving a large dent in it, Sei's frustration seemingly dissipating after the strike.
With his frustration alleviated Sei once more took his position at the centre of the clearing, picturing the boy he'd seen in the mirror ready to fight any and all opponents. Ram. Snake. Tiger. The handsigns were easily recalled and enacted. With the signature puff of smoke of a basic jutsu a Sei appeared, wearing the same clothes as it's original, standing at the same height at it's original and wearing the same smile of excitement as the original.
Sei relaxed his stance, standing upright as he faced his clone, his creation mirroring his movements perfectly without the need for Sei to continue focusing on the jutsu. In curiosity, he stretched his left hand forward, his clone doing the same. Intangible. His Chunnin teacher was right, he couldn't touch this clone. It was only mean't to distract them after all. What else had he told Sei? He knew he was missing something.....
"Two."
He nodded to himself, dismissing his successful clone immediately. The maximum clones a student was expected to conjure was two and Sei was not going to be lazy about his training.
Ram, Snake, Tiger. The handsigns were quickly becoming muscle memory now. This time, Sei's chakra output was considerably higher as he imagined two copies of himself at either side of him. He was picking this up quicker than he thoguht he would. The smoke dissipated quickly, replaced with...failure. One clone had once again appeared malnourished and pathetic, disappearing quickly but the other one was different. it looked like Sei had left an active explosive tag in his back pocket. Collapsed, smoking and unconscious. Too much chakra then. Noting the other clone's lack of chakra Sei quickly concluded that he hadn't balanced his flow correctly not only that though. He was tired, more than he should be. He must have supercharged overdone clone.
Taking a steady breath Sei once again took his position, holding his legs in place as he felt them wobble. This was the last attempt for tonight. Before he began the handsigns however he focused his chakra equally from two directions from his body, closing his eyes in concerntration.
"No need to rush..."
Ram...Snake...Tiger. They appeared. Mimicking his closed eyes and crouched state perfectly. When Sei opened his eyes he could only grin, giving his clones a careful, intangible high five before dismissing them.
"Clone technique...The Chunin are going to love this!"
