The Beginning of a Spark
Fri Feb 10, 2017 11:56 am
Niran walked throughout the streets of Kumo, allowing his mind to wander in the cold evening. The sun was slowly falling below the horizon as the myriad of colours that decorated the sky slowly turned to the inky blackness of the night. He had just been made a genin that morning and was considering his training routine that would soon begin. He knew he would have to learn some powerful ninjutsu if he was to obtain as much power as possible so he would have to find something to really focus on at the start. “What can I learn that will strike fear into my enemies, and give me incredible power?” He would think to himself as he moved throughout the village. “Yes, what can we learn that we can use to destroy it all?!” he would hear in his head as his second persona made itself known. Niran would grimace at the minor headache the voice would cause in its excitement, but wouldn’t lose his stride. So far he learned a useful survival technique, and a low power fire technique that would be good for little more than starting a campfire. Both useful things up here in the cold mountains, but certainly not for actual combat. He slowly moved toward the edge of the village, coming over to an outcropping of stone to had a spectacular view of the mountain ranges. He leaned alone the protective railing nearby a burning brazier to lit the area with a fierce, fiery light. The heat it produced warmed him considerably in the cold night and his piercing orange eyes stared into its depths as if searching for the answers to his questions of what he should focus his time and effort into learning. He was not after all, someone who did things half assed.
As he stared into the flames his mind drifted toward the night his family was killed. Watching his mother, father, brother, and sister all brutally murdered, their bodies left to rot. He felt angry at his weakness back then, he wanted to kill the men that did it so badly it hurt. How dare they attack his home, how dare they attack and murder his family. He wanted to get back at such people, he wanted to destroy them wherever they might be hiding and for that he needed something destructive. Something such vermin would be terrified of, something he could use to strike fear into the hearts of his enemies. It needed to be something that would command respect in the eyes of his peers as well. He would become a true master of something. He would take it to levels that had never before seen. He simply needed to know what, he needed it to be something people would notice instantly, recognize for what it was.
A few minutes went by before the voice of his insane persona filled his mind again “Why not just learn more fire techniques? After all they do cause a healthy amount of fear as fire is naturally one of the most destructive elements.” It would cackle madly as it mentioned the suggestion. “Now there’s a thought..” Niran himself would say as he looked at the fire of the brazier in a new light. He learned the first two fire techniques fairly quickly, so he could have a latent talent in it. Plus he felt drawn the flame, as if it was calling out to him. At times it’s warmth helped him through the times where his family being murdered as they had been really bothered him. It’s power also couldn’t be ignored as fire was extremely destructive. The question was whether or not he had the necessary ability to control the flames. He felt a rising desire inside of his heart as the idea took hold and firmly planted itself into his mind. Fire was the power of creation and destruction, it was simple, aggressive, and unyielding. He would become a force of nature using fire techniques. He could feel his chakra stirring within as he made his decision. The natural fiery nature of his chakra thrumming throughout his body as a powerful warmth spread throughout.
The sun had long since completely gone below the horizon, but a great new fire was born at this moment as his eyes seemingly lit up with an inner flame, and a desire to learn more. Fire would be his starting point, but it wouldn’t end there. He would become incredibly powerful will more than simply one element. He would be known throughout the land for his oppressively powerful elemental ninjutsu and he would destroy those cowardly enough to take from others as those raiders had done to him. He could picture himself now firing techniques left and right with such power that villages would crumble beneath his might. A small chuckle escaped his lips, eventually forming in a full blown laugh as he thought about all of the justice he would serve to those undeserving, the weak people who had to take from other people instead of earning it themselves. A maniacal glint shined in his eyes as his insane persona came through and a loud, hysteric laugh was heard on the outcropping overlooking the mountain range.
After a few minutes his guffaws of laughter died down and the night was quiet once again. Luckily no one had been around when these thoughts occurred or he’d have some explaining to do. He shrugged his cloak on comfortably in the chill and proceeded to move silently through the flame light streets toward home. If one looked closer into his eyes, they’d see an inner fire in them that wasn’t there before, and he would now be warm to the touch at all times. He himself wouldn’t notice the differences though, as he was far to focused on the task at hand. Finding as many fire techniques as he could, copying them down, and going out to train them, to increase his power to levels he would be respected and feared for.

- Spoiler:
- Fourth Flame:
The Fourth Flame is the lowest tier of the bloodline for the fire element.
To unlock: The character must know at least two jutsu of the element, and have the interest to learn more. This also takes 1,000 words to unlock.
Physical Changes: At this tier, the shinobi with it seems to always have a fire burning in their eyes.
Powers: At this level, the shinobi is able to learn fire justu at a faster rate, with a reduced word count by E:50, D:100, C:200, B:300, A:400 S:500. Again, this is only applicible to fire element jutsu.
Also, at this level, the shinobi passively gains 5 chakra.
Also at this level, their bodies are able to withstand slightly higher temperatures than normal, though nothing significant.
