Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors Empty Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors

Sun Feb 26, 2017 9:33 pm
Komori woke up that morning and walked over to his closet. He was excited. Today he would finish up his last exam before having to talk to the Raikage. He was not used to wearing any form of armor, but his brother had recently allowed him to borrow Invictus, which was the name of their mother’s armor. It was more suited for a Hyuuga, or a woman for that matter, but Komori swallowed his pride and donned it anyways. The panther mask was rather form fitting and took some time to get used to. He was not used to covering up his gorgeous face at all, lest he be penalized for committing a crime to the world by hiding something so wondrous. Regardless, he was thankful to his brother for the loan, no matter how temporary it was. Despite it only giving twenty-four instead of twenty-five chakra, like some kind of idiot would app lol. Komori felt rather uncomfortable in the armor, as, once again, he was not even remotely used to wearing armor. He probably should have gotten his own set of armor around the same time as Komon did, but either he was too lazy or busy to find time to craft himself one. Instead, he did various exercise routines in order to ‘break in’ the armor as it were. Jumping jacks, push-ups, sit ups, practically anything to help. Komori was not used to working out, as he had a mere 30 strength, but he was not opposed to it. He just never quite found time for it in his business with ninjutsu training and various other threads he took part in. He ran down the staircase and into the kitchen. He began to eat, being very careful to not spill any food on the loaned armor, before placing his dishes in the sink for Komon to wash whenever he returned home. He headed out the door, stepping down the small staircase that led to the path until finally reaching the main street. He smiled, which was visible to all that would pass by, as he had clipped the panther shaped mask to his belt when he was eating.

He began a light jog in order to become used to the feeling of running in the armor before turning to his full speed of 100 as he sped down the village streets towards the chuunin examination center. He entered from the right side of the U shaped sector, passing by the large concrete building where he had practiced his stealth in a large maze. He passed the building reserved for jutsu demonstration, smiling as he remembered the words of encouragement from his proctor Appu. Kumogakure had such a bad reputation among the other villages, yet Komori would not have chosen anywhere else to begin his journey. He had met kind faces, friends, and teachers. He loved meeting his comrades which seemed to give the boy a sense of purpose in his shinobi training. They pushed him and at some times bullied him into becoming better than he could be. Speaking of bullying, Komori was passing by the long structure that housed the taijutsu exams. He smiled as he remembered how badly he had his ass handed to him by Senshi. It had really only matured him and taught him that he was a terrible hand to hand fighter. He then passed by the genjutsu exam and despite all the pain it had caused him, his smile only grew. It had allowed him to see his parents once more. His eyes teared up but the wide grin on his face disproved that these were any tears of sadness. He was simply happy now that he had had some time to consider the exam. It had shown him what he truly wanted and demonstrated his ideology. He came to a stop in front of a small lobby. A pathway behind it led to a 30 x 30 building that would become the grounds for his final official chuunin examination. Today, he was going to prove himself worthy of a promotion. Today, he was going to grow up.

Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors Empty Re: Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors

Sun Feb 26, 2017 9:46 pm
Senshi walked out of the second Chuunin examination building, yawning as he did so. He would note Komori, who was the next on his list of Genin to proctor today but didn’t move over to him just yet. Instead he held the door where three mutilated bodies of prisoners were being wheeled out behind him and the absolutely destroyed body of a Kumogakure Genin behind him. If one paid just enough attention they would note that the Genin was just barely breathing as the two other Chuunin took the boy towards the hospital. Behind the barely alive Genin were two headless bodies of two more prisoners. Senshi had deemed that particular Genin worth saving despite the fact that he had clearly failed the exam.

Exchanging a few quick words with another Chuunin he turned and walked over to Komori, offering a hand shake to the Genin as he spoke. “Good morning Komori, seems you’re up next on the Chuunin Exams.” Senshi paused and pulled a scroll from his pocket offering it to Komori. It was a blueprint of the building he was about to enter. “Welcome to your second Chuunin exam. During this exam you will be pitted against five shinobi prisoners of Kumogakure. You’re mission is to kill all of them, they are equipped with weapons and their own skill sets. They have been offered a pardon if they kill you.” Senshi paused to ensure that Komori was listening intently.

“Each prisoner is fitted with an explosive collar, should we the Chuunin proctors believe that you are worth saving we can do so. This is however a rare occurance, so do not count on it. Rely on your own skills to pass.” Senshi would give Komori a hard look, despite that fact that he counted the boy as a friend he didn’t want Komori to think that Senshi would be any easier on him. “You will have ten minutes to go over the blue print before you will enter the building. Once you enter the building you will not be allowed to leave until either all five prisoners are dead or you yourself are dead. Your time starts now.”

Senshi would stand with his arms crossed while he let Komori ask any questions he had, and go over the blue print. Once looking at the blue print Komori would see that the building had three levels. A basement, the first floor, and the second top most floor. Each level had twelve rooms, and the blue print indicated that the top floor and first floor had a false ceiling so that someone could hide up there or move throughout the two floors just from being in the ceiling. The basement had no false ceiling however. Once the ten minutes were up Senshi would hold out his hand for the blue print before speaking, “Times up, enter the building from which ever enterance you choose. Komori, don’t die and good luck I expect you to pass.” With that Senshi would turn walking into the building his chakra signature instantly suppressed.

Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors Empty Re: Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors

Sun Feb 26, 2017 10:13 pm
Komori noticed the bodies being wheeled out of the exam, along with a fellow genin who was barely breathing. This sight introduced the creeping sensation of fear into the strapping young lad, but he pushed it aside as he was reinvigorated with a sense of purpose. He had sworn to himself that he was going to finish his damn chuunin exam by the end of the day. It was only after the bodies, living or dead, that had been wheeled out of view that he finally registered Senshi coming up towards him. I swear, I run into this guy everywhere. I hope this stays true if I’m ever about to bleed out and die or something. Komori was not opposed to running into his favorite chuunin who he was not related to, but it seemed as though the two managed to meet consistently. He returned the handshake with the vastly larger chuunin. Komori grasped his hand firmly, as his father had once told him that a sloppy handshake was one way for a man to lose respect. He took the scroll that the six foot seven giant handed him and unraveled it. He had barely begun looking over it before Komori found the true task behind this exam. His body noticeably froze upon hearing that he had to become a serial killer in order to become a chuunin. After Senshi took a break in her speech after informing him that the prisoners would receive a pardon upon my death, Komori forced himself to look at him in the eyes, overcoming the building nervousness and pit in his gut to stand stronger than he truly felt. There was slight relief upon hearing that he could be saved, although he did not want to put his faith in that even remotely. This was a show of his strength, not how good he could do before he had to be saved. He hated being saved. He knew that he could take care of himself, and now he would finally have a chance to show it.

His grip tightened slightly on the blueprints. “I don’t suppose there’s any way I could pass this without killing is there?” He asked the rhetorical question aloud for the sake of allowing it to truly sink in. Without waiting for an answer, Komori looked back down at the blueprint. When Senshi reached his hand out for the blueprint, he thought of asking to keep it before realizing how ridiculous that sounded, so he kept his mouth shut. “First and second floors, false ceilings. Basement, trapped. Twelve rooms a floor. Got it.” Komori would then head towards the 30x30 building suppressing his chakra and enter from the west side, awaiting to see what he found.

Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors Empty Re: Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors

Sun Feb 26, 2017 10:20 pm
Senshi shook his head to Komori’s question, “No, the only way to end this exam is with death.” Senshi shrugged as though to say he didn’t understand the problem and that he didn’t make the rules, just enforced them. After accepting the scroll back Senshi would clap Komori on the shoulder in an attempt to bolster his moral before leaving to go back into the building where he would mess with the poor Genin.

As soon as Komori entered the building he would be greeted by the oddest site. The entire floor seemed to be a forest, the temperature in the building was a nice hundred and three degrees with a hundred percent humidity. Komori would be funneled forwards for several feat before the fauna would open up into a larger clearing offering Komori the chance to go straight, left, or right. Should his chakra sensory be active he would feel four chakra signatures in the building. One higher than he was and to the left, one lower than him straight forwards, another one lower than him, but no distinguishable difference from their current location, and the final one on the same level but off to the right.

Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors Empty Re: Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors

Sun Feb 26, 2017 10:58 pm
Komori was about to speak up to address Senshi himself but ultimately decided not to, as he had to be stealthy about this. I’m not a hundred percent sure you’re responsible for this, but just know I hate you if you are, Senshi. He signed the Rat → Dog handseals and called forth a bottle of water from his storage dimension at a slow 15 speed and took a sip before sending it back at a speed of 185. He had at least a couple of water bottles in there, and he had to stay as hydrated as possible if he was to be able to use his Hozuki bloodline techniques. The odds were already against him. He continued down his path, already annoyed by nature indoors, as he came to the clearing. He activated his chakra sensory and came across four signatures. He decided to take care of the one on his floor before venturing to the basement or second floor, so he silently moved to the right with his chakra still suppressed. He liquified the floor around his immediate person as two bubbles rose behind him, as he would carefully and silently not use body flicker like he had in the mission and head towards his first opponent.

Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors Empty Re: Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors

Sun Feb 26, 2017 11:06 pm
As Komori would move forwards he would be able to note that the walls, such as they were, were large hedges with vines growing around them. They did not look particularly thick, but it was amazing at the amount of dampening of sound that the fauna could do. As Komori followed the oddly windy path he would come upon two obstacles. One was a hedge in the middle of the path that had grown to be about halfway to the ceiling. The other was that just before that hedge was an odd archway opening to a side room. His chakra sensory would tell him that nothing was in that room, or at least nothing that he could sense. His chakra sensory would also inform him that the prisoner he could sense on this floor lay directly in front of him.

The temperature had increased by three degrees during Komori’s walk through the building, bringing it up to a nice, crisp 105 degrees Fahrenheit.  Komori was now left with the decision of entering the side room and exploring, or continuing forwards over the large hedge that was blocking his path. If he paid attention he would see no traps around the hedge or the door. He would also be able to easily jump over the hedge without disturbing it or using chakra, just as he would be able to easily enter the room without disturbing anything or using chakra. He was currently standing twelve feet from the hedge and ten feet from the archway opening.

Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors Empty Re: Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors

Sun Feb 26, 2017 11:24 pm
Komori immediately let his bubbles drop slowly to the ground to avoid a splashing noise and suppressed his chakra again. Idiot. Idiot. Idiot. He had just revealed his location to any prisoner searching for it, although they did not seem to be suppressing their chakra, so either they did not have the capability to, or else they were just wanting him to find them. They seemed to at least not be working together, which was a consoling thought to the boy. Perhaps he could use this to his advantage at some point. He did notice the increased temperature, which made him wish that Invictus came with some sort of water dispenser inside the mask, but sadly it was designed more for a Hyuuga than a Hozuki. Still, he appreciated his brother’s concern regarding him taking his exam. Komori then came to a complete stop, still with his chakra sensory so that he could tell if someone were approaching. Komon already did this… Komori had come to the realization that his twin brother had already killed five people and more importantly, had not told him about it at all. Whether it for secrecy or whatever horrible excuse the Hyuuga had planned, Komori would be sure to talk to him, provided he survived. Komon had to be getting eaten up inside with guilt, as his brother was one of the most compassionate people that he knew. Komori swallowed the buildup of saliva in his mouth as he opted to head to the side room. He stepped to the corner of the archway and peered inside, looking for any sign of a prisoner who might have been using chakra suppression. If his sensory was correct, the prisoner that he had been tracking would have been on the other side of the hedge. He did decide however, to investigate the room, so as to not be ambushed while attempting to clear the hedge. He wanted desperately to use a shadow clone right now, but he was certain that it would give away his position even more than he already had. Idiot. But it was no use berating himself, as it had already happened. He just had to make the best of the situation. Provided he did not see anything, Komori would slowly and silently step into the room.

Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors Empty Re: Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors

Komori would see nothing as he approached the room, however unfortunately for him as soon as he was within 5 feet of the hedge he would begin to smell an odd odor. It wasn’t very strong, but as Komori continued forwards he would begin to feel weak and light headed. As he stepped to the door way, he would be greated with an oddly octagonal shaped room, in the center of which was a large plant that seemed to be giving off the odd scent. Due to his proximity to the plant Komori would begin to lose feeling in his hands and feet, making it harder for him to move and lower his dexterity.

Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors Empty Re: Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors

Sun Feb 26, 2017 11:38 pm
This is why I hate nature. Komori thought to himself begrudgingly. He took steps backwards from the plant, as there seemed to be nothing else in the room unless his proctor just sucked at describing things, and instead decided to hop on top of the hedge, looking downwards to the other side, expecting the chakra signature that he continued to sense on this side of the plant wall. He was beginning to grow annoyed, as it was just a stupid plant that had given him the most difficulty as of yet. He did not know a way to get rid of the plant without drawing immense attention to himself, so instead he simply walked away from it to the far edge of the room. Komori was sitting on top of the hedge on the far side of the wall, completely opposite of the archway, hopefully out of range of the obnoxious odor. He could not do much except wait to see what was on the other side of the wall. His back was pressed against the far wall of the hedge, so he could still see the archway in his peripheral vision.

Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors Empty Re: Chuunin Exam 2: Senshi's House of Horrors

Sun Feb 26, 2017 11:43 pm
As Komori jumped on top of the hedge and looked to the other side he would see…… nothing but a pile of slighty disturbed leaves with a white tag. It was perfectly centered, so that if he jumped over the hedge in the center he would land on it. From his current position he was completely safe however from setting it off. Because Komori was still too close to the plant he would have lsot the majority of feeling in his hands and feet and be far more clumsy now. He would also begin to feel sick, as though he had a fever and the urge to cough would more than likely be rising in him.
