Change of Scenery (p, io)
Mon Apr 24, 2017 9:12 am
Hearing Kira say those words to him before he was on his way, its been a while since he has seen her. When she stated she was joining either way, Kyson would nod and begin to head towards the Kazekage chambers. If anyone else would try to join the meeting, Kyson would ask them to leave as he doesn't want too many people to attend the meeting. He would tell them to look after the people of the village while they were talking because anything could happen. As Kyson headed towards the office and finally made it to the front door. He would open it and leave it open so the others could enter if they were to follow.
As he first entered the building, everyone looked worried and distraught. Where is the Kazekage? Is he coming back? What does that mean for us? He was pretty sure all of these questions were rushing through their heads. Kyson would begin to walk towards the stairwell that leads to the second floor. Kyson's head felt like it was twisting and turning. He has no idea how to handle the situation, but regardless if is ready to become their new leader or not. He was chosen to speak for the people. Seeing as the guards would see Kyson. Seeing the same guard that told him Koroshi had chose him to be their leader if he should ever fall. "Lord Kazekage, are you sure this is a good idea?" The man would ask him. Hearing those words just made Kyson's head twist even more. The pressure was a bit too much for him, but he still had to keep his posture.
"They said they wanted to talk.. so lets here them out. I don't know where Lord Koroshi is, but hopefully he will be back soon." Kyson would say to the man as he arrives to the front door of the office. Entering it and leaving the door open for the rest if they were to follow, he would head towards the Kazekage's seat.
"Get some chairs for our guests..." Kyson would tell the guard. He would nod and make sure there we seats for everyone if they wanted to sit. With Maku's seat facing the Kage's desk and the other seats being next to Kyson and facing him.
"Never thought I'd be seating here. So you say you are from Kumo. Ya know, I was actually born and raised there. Me and my friend here. So we seen a good look of how that village works and how they do things." He would say pointing to Royalty if he attended the meeting. Kyson would take out his Kumo headband from his pocket and take a good look at it. He always brings it everywhere he goes. Even though Kumo isn't the same place it used to be. It doesn't change the fact that it was Kyson's home and his parents died trying to protect it. That's what that headband meant to him.
"Seeing the Kazekage attacked on you on site, I assume he knows you from somewhere. And what your doing now, this probably isn't new to you. So with that being said.. what is it you wanted to talk about." Kyson would say to Maku if he followed him all the way up here.

The sun had vanished on the day. A light gone out, in more ways than one. Maku couldn't explain it, but the fact Koroshi had vanished had caused an even greater absence than before. It was if a pressure he had never know was there had suddenly been removed. A purpose he had dreamed about, awoken and shown to be a fallacy. All in all, a bizarre feeling that gave him mixed emotions.
His new friend had already left, which suited him just fine. The following conversation would be a touch awkward should he have hung about. Difficult to explain, yet now by the grace of gods he didn't have to, and he had got a burger and seen a sexy dude, sometimes things just came up your number.
Following Kyson he could practically feel the nerves emanating off the boy. He was doing his best and he respected that. Yet as the saying goes, heavy is the head that wears the crown. The fact Koroshi had vanished continues to weigh on Maku, and his sensory abilities continued to search for the man. He doubted he could truly just leave, yet the jutsu that had taken him was not unlike some of his own. Discord came to mind, sanctuary second. He wasn't above putting it out there that a wall would shatter and he would be assaulted, which is why his eyes maintained their eternal state.
"Attacked is a harsh word". Maku would say before sliding into a chair. He demeanor was relaxed, laid back, as if this was a scheduled appointment he had been looking forward to. He reached and undid the mask before setting it on the table in front of him. It's demon face looking towards the sky. His base chakra if sensed was 200, it would also feel denser than a normal shinobi'. "I'd say he showed up and left you all. You can argue motives and means, but someone once had a long talk with me about truths, and that my friend is a truth." He would say with a light smile. His red eyes peering into the new Kazekage's.
"Regardless, Kumogakure is its own beast. I don't speak for how the main village is run, that's not my department I'm afraid." He would say twirling some of his blonde hair in his right hand. "My job is the military and shinobi there within. Including but not limited to defense and expansion of the empire." He would continue, his voice light and sing song. Totally at odds with the type of material he was speaking to. "So, this is my last stop for a minute. I've taken nearly all the minor lands between here and Kumogakure. What I haven't taken will fall in line upon the return of the main forces. Hoshigakre to your north is in the alliance by marriage. The remainder of the shinobi and civilian military will arrive in the next day or less unless we settle this right here. The long version made short, you'll bend the knee, join the empire, and we all stay happy. What do you say?" He would finish with a light shrug and smile. Again, at odds for the question he had just asked.
He made no outward displays of aggression, his chakra felt relaxed even if dense, body language lax. The beast he had conjured was merely to get attention, not needed now since he had the audience. All that was left, was what they would say. The next steps moving forward from there. Outside the sun completely set, lights coming on around the village. Possibly the sun had set for the last time of one of the most historic shinobi villages.

As the sun was finished setting, the lights of the village could be seen from afar. Many street lights and house lighting would make the village seem peaceful.. But how long would that last? Royalty followed alongside the group. His hands in his pockets, on guard but relaxed. His head would be facing more towards the ground at an angle rather than looking straight ahead. This whole arrangement looked.. awkward from the outside looking in.
Many civilians had not known what was going on. You could hear chatter of many people seemingly forming their own stories. You know rumors, they spread like wildfire. Some people say Koroshi abandoned us, some say he fell in battle. Either way, the general emotion was fear amongst all others. Eyes peered on the group of shinobi walking. Some faces were familiar, considering how long he'd been here. He chose not to make direct contact considering he couldn't very much explain the situation.
Entering the Kage building, Roy's heart dropped. The way the higher ranking ninja all locking their eyes on them made it seem like they were walking into an ambush. Funny.. That wouldn't be half bad right now. A guard had made a comment to Kyson. Hearing him being called the Kazekage was funny. 'How you let me run it round here, I ain't even from around here' resonated in Roy's head. He wondered where he had heard that from. Maybe it was a song. Who cares to be honest?
At this point the group would reach the second floor. Kyson had requested seats, Royalty decided against sitting. Instead he would lean on the wall that was adjacent to the entrance of the chambers. His left leg still on the ground while his upper back and right foot would be touching the wall. His arms were crossed and he would be facing towards Maku's back and Kyson's front.
The Kazekage would start to talk about Kumo. That small talk. As he pulled out his kumo headband, Royalty did the same subtly. He looked down at it on his right side. Memories.. His goal was to go back there some day. It was only right. His parents had probably given up on his return. It was on him to change that. As for when Maku would reply to Kyson, he put away his Kumo headband and assumed the former positioning that he had. Maku's words didn't strike a nerve but they made him feel a certain way. No matter what happened, the two just couldn't escape it. Their past was coming to haunt them. Maybe they took too long to get stronger. Well certainly if the damn Jounin Exams would've started last year like it was suppos....Never mind. We're getting too off topic here. Royalty's character prompted him to make a smart remark towards Maku, but he felt inferior to Kyson's pressure so he chose to stay quiet. This was all up to him.

Raizuko had been in the Kazekage Building once before, though this time it didn't seem quite as pleasant. Everyone around him had looks of sadness and surprise on their face as he walked in about 30 seconds after the man who was from Kumogakure and Kyson walked in. In his mind he would let out a sigh. He wouldn't be calling Kyson Kazekage anytime soon, it just didn't feel normal. As he walked through the building he could hear whispers of people saying "Who is that man?" and "What happened to Lord Koroshi?" Truth be told, Raizuko didn't know what exactly happened to the Kazekage. Seeing him disappear he had felt a great and powerful pull of Space-Time Ninjutsu. The same type of chakra he had felt in his dream. Was all of this connected some how? Or was this just coincidence? As he walked towards the stairs, he could feel the great and dense chakra rolling off of the man from Kumogakure, who was already on the second floor.
As he walked up the stairs it felt as if his own chakra was becoming even more wild. Having a base chakra of a 100 he was one of the strongest people chakra wise in the village. However, he could tell that the man in front of him was at least 2x more powerful. His Golden Eyes scanned the hallways as he walked up the stairs.
Why'd this man want Sunagakure? The Land of Sand was a peaceful village and the last war they had was years ago. Did he simply want to take one of the Five Great Villages under his control? The mind of a battle expert and tactical expertise would come into play. Whatever it would be, Raizuko would find out. After walking up the stairs he would come to enter the Kazekage Office. It wasn't completely huge in size, but it wasn't small either. Walking through the door, he would come to stand inside of the office, on his left hand side 1 meter away from the door. He wasn't a bodyguard, he was only here to gather information. With his armor on it looked as if he was an Assassin sent from hell. His helmet had been pulled down and was hanging softly on his back. As he looked around, his eyes would come to land on the back of the man from Kumo head. The man had began to speak.
A minute or so had passed and the man had released a minor deal of information. And it was plain and simple. If the newly Kazekage didn't kneel before him then the forces of Kumogakure would come and attack. This would lead Raizuko to come to think if this all was a ploy created by the Land of Lightning. Their Kazekage disappeared as soon as this mysterious man came trying to claim the Sand Village under Kumo's name. And then he would confront the new Kazekage, Kyson a man who lived in Kumogakure, but apparently escaped to the Sand. Raizuko would only think. What will Kyson say? What will Kyson do?

Re: Change of Scenery (p, io)

The self proclaimed Princess of Suna walked along the quad of men towards the Kazekage’s office. The alarms had gone silent, and the panic had subsided momentarily. Many talked and pointed at the five individuals who walked. Their were many questions being asked through the murmurs, the Uzumaki picking up on some of them. Many were the same ones she was asking herself. Her mind was racing with a multitude of thoughts, and it didn’t seem it was going to stop anytime soon.
Upon reaching the Kazekage’s office. The girl subtly flinched as one of the guards spoke to Kyson as the Kazekage. That was something she didn’t expect, not at all. She wasn’t sure when, or how Kyson had become next in line to become Kazekage but she could only assume it was the works of Koroshi. Had he really trusted the Ex-Kumo ninja enough to appoint him with such a position? She had seen his display of combat as a spectator during the Jonin Exams and he was good, but she wasn’t sure if he was THAT good. And what would he do in terms of the current politics that was about to go down? Would he make a decision that was right for the village? These were just some of the questions that were now piled with the rest. Whether they would be answered would soon be seen.
The quintet arrived to the office, chairs being brought for them to sit but the only one choosing to do so was the strange man from a different land. Kira took her place on the right side of the office near the middle, leaning near a window with a view of the dazed village. Night had snuck up on them rather quick, but Suna was far from sleeping. From where she stood, she had a clear view of everyone in the room, and they had one of her. From there, the girl just simply listened with her head tilted down. Her hear musth have been beating like a set of roaring drums.
Kyson has spoken first, and next game the strange man. His Chakra doubling he size of pretty much everyone else in the room. It was rather frightening but nothing that prevented the girl from keeping a rather levelled head. He seemed to have a rather high position in Kumo’s ranks which didn’t come as a large surprise. His voice was rather nonchalant, not fitting the mood of the room at all. It’s as if like he had no care in the world; yet the words he spoke were heavy. He had come here demanding Suna’s surrender to Kumo’s empire, or war would be seen on the Horizon. The Uzumaki’s heart came to a sudden standstill, before continuing onto a fast steady beat. Suna? Under Kumo’s rule? The girl raised her heterochromatic eyes to look directly at the stranger. She still said nothing but she couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
Her eyes flicked to Kyson as everyone in the room was silent. There was no additional responses from Royalty and none from Raizuko. Of course, they probably had their own opinions as Kira did, but none of them spoke. All eyes were on the new Kazekage who now had to make a very important decision on his first day on the job. The Uzumaki just hoped he wouldn’t fuck it up.

As Kyson, heard the words of Maku. He stated the Kazekage just vanished without a trace. His attack was too fast for even Kyson to keep track of. Where he vanished off to was unknown, but they had bigger matters to attend to. He controls Kumo's military and they already started taking over other lands. It was only a matter of time before Suna was next. Kyson looked into the man's red eyes, never seen anything like it before.
He wanted our village to bow down before Kumo. But Kyson wasn't with that at all. He has seen himself how Kumo was ran. The people of the village would rather be dead if they saw what Kyson saw that day. So the choice was now up to him. Neither of the shinobi next to him had nothing to say and nothing to ask. So it was clearly all on Kyson to chose the fate of the village. This village has always been revolved around the people and its safety. Going at war we won't win will just cause meaningless bloodshed for no reason. So Kyson would have his answer.
"Well, none of us have the power to stop you from taking over this village. Especially with the village's morale decreasing as Lord Koroshi disappeared. But if you really are taking over this village and converting it to Kumo. At least let the people of the village leave..." Kyson would say to Maku. The villagers will always come first. And leaving them in the hands of Kumo would just be slaughtering them. And that is not the choice he will make on his first day of the job.

He would watch and listen. Only one man was speaking, so naturally he gave most of his attention to him. However, to think he had let his guard down would be foolish. As always Maku was more dangerous the calmer and more relaxed he felt. As he moved from the realm of instinct to the realm of boredom and crazy ideas. As of now though, this was interrupted by purpose. Unfortunate.
As he listened he appreciated the attempt at a negotiation. However, he had given away a couple facts without knowing much of Maku. He also clearly knew what kumo was if he had been there, and this clouded his judgment. Wasn't it obvious Maku was a different beast than Youka Tau, or whatever fake name he used these days. This was not a man with gore and pestilence across his face, this was not a man who wore death like a battle sign. His skin was smooth and unmarred despite combat, his nails smooth and with a shone despite the work of the shinobi, his voice of song not wailing. He had made an offer, and he is made the wrong one. His admittance of weakness, only caused these facts to glare back at Maku even more.
He stared back, eye to eye with the would be kage. If the man had any power of political sensory he would know the first round went to Maku, and if he didn't it was about to be made obvious. "How about no. I'm quite aware of the situation, but to make it this known.....well we bluff before we fold mate." His smile would only widen. His tone taking on a jounin teaching his chunin squad what should have been a simple lesson.
He would whistle, and then continue. "No one leaves. I may have been inclined not now. Again, sunagakure kneels, and calls me master. If you want Kazekage in name take it, titles of kage mean nothing without something to back it up." His tone again a little condescending, yet his body language and affect clearly indicated to those involved that Kyson was in charge. A feeling he wondered how would go over with those involved.
"I don't have any intention of making this some Rot field if that's your concern. Not my style, I'd take a harem first." He would say with a laugh at his own joke flipping his hair back. Again pointing out how little seriousness he had devoted to this conversation. Was he baiting them? Perhaps, it would be interesting, even if it would be over quick. He hadn't used his favorite technique in ages, was it time? Well not yet.
"So, those are my demands, my wants and needs. This is your turn to rebuttal and offer me something in turn for something you want." He would say waiting patiently. "Your not the first kage I've talked to, won't be the last. You aren't doing the best, but you aren't doing the worst either." He would say with that crooked smile. As if all of this was a game, to which........it was exactly that to Maku.

Quite annoyed, Royalty was towards the whole situation. None of this was as intriguing as he would have liked it to be. He watched as Kyson made them sound a little too desperate. Royalty chuckled in his head.. He had never seen Kyson this way. It wasn't out of fear of Maku, he would figure. But more of not trying to let anybody down. That was only an assumption. Roy would bet on it though. The title of Kazekage was merely, thrown into his lap. It's only natural to feel this type of pressure.
The Yuka glanced over at Raizuko for a brief period of time. He wondered what could be going through his head. It would be much easier to assess if he knew the man. Thinking about it, he couldn't remember any encounter with him. Oh well. This glance was interrupted as he turned his attention to Kira. Thoughts of the old team he and Kyson had assembled ran through his mind. It was short-lived. Kira went mia, and rumors of Makoto's death had surfaced. They weren't all too close but he wished death on nobody that didn't do others wrong. Memories.. Such a deep part of the brain. Despite that, he also wondered what could be going through her head. Seeing as she included her damn self into this he figured she had a strong passionate opinion.
Not too long after Kyson would try to come to terms, Maku would rebuttal. His words seemed to intimidate Kyson. Or at least that was the plan. Feeling like Kyson would choke up, as anyone would on their first day of the job, Royalty felt the need to speak out. Maybe it was needed, he really couldn't care less. "How about no.. You don't seem to comprehend our loyalty to everyone here. If you think even with a shadow of a doubt we're going to tell everyone to bow to you, you're mistaken. Heh, these pants were woven quite well in the finest establishments. Hell I look like putting them on the floor for you? He tried to compromise with you. Either take it or you can attempt to kill us all and have a village with corpses in it. No matter which option you take, you'll be here alone until your army pillages whatever's left. I just want what's best for everyone here and if that means I have to put my life on the line then so be it."
Royalty's voice was quite assertive. Despite feeling like he spoke out of line, something had to be said. He wasn't going to just let Kyson take all of this pressure. He'd rather go down fighting for other's freedom rather than feel like he'd be apart of a slave trade. That wasn't happening as long as he was here.

Looking and listening to the people who were talking in the room, Raizuko had finally decided to clear his own silence. His vision would look pass his Golden pupils as he stared at th many insignias on the man's back, Maku, if he recalled correctly. You see, during his time as a Jounin, Raizuko had been told many tales about a group who had terrorized the world. Knocking many villages off of the map, no matter if they were Minor or Major. The Akatsuki. The Blood Clouds on their back symbolizing the many lives and blood it took to get them known as one of the most powerful Missing Ninja in history. He would bend his knees, as his upper legs would become parallel to the ground below him. Using the index finger of his left hand, he would trace the World Map on the dusty floor. After completely making the map he would come to once again look at Maku.
"Look here." said Raizuko in a voice that was powerful enough to scare mere ninja away. He had drawn a complete world map on the floor before him. His finger would lay on the village of Iwagakure in the Land of Earth, proceeding he would draw a "X" on it. Then his finger would move to Amegakure, following the same motion. Kumogakure, Tengakure, Yukigakure, which would all get their own individual "X". Raizuko still looking at the map would hold his hand, wiggling all five of his fingers. After moving his fingers, he would change them so only his middle finger and index finger were left. "Five villages destroyed and out of that Five, two were major. Including the homeland of Kyson and Royalty." Raizuko's eyes would move from the map and then to Kyson, staring him directly in the eye. "I am sure you all know what Akatsuki is and seeing as Maku here wears their colors. Then I know you know who he may be as well. This group of Rogue Ninja were able to take out countless Villages. Most with only two of their members being there to help from what I have heard. They were said to enter villages with silence and exit with fire. These people aren't just your ordinary ninja. I mean if you can find twenty more people who can take out a village like its nothing, then by all means, find them." said Raizuko as he would lead off his sentence.
Coming to a stand, he would come to walk beside Maku, standing approximately 5 meters away from him, on his left. As he come to stand by Maku, he would look towards the door at Royalty. "You are suggesting that we fight the forces of Kumogakure. The village that may be allied with Akatsuki. And if old Maku here is the commander of Kumo's forces, a man who bears there colors, then who knows what other members of this rogue group lay dormant in the Cloud Village." His eyes would come to lay on Kyson. A teenager who had only just ranked up to Jounin only a week ago and had just been given the position of Kazekage. Looking into the eyes of the Old Kumogakure ninja, he would say "I believe that you and your brother are biased on this matter. You couldn't have been ninjas in this village for more than a year and you are already trying to get MY PEOPLE to leave their home or trying to get them killed." said Raizuko as he would put a huge emphasis on his people.
"You and your brother are not looking besides the fact that other people live in this village as well. People who can't even defend themselves against mere Academy Students and you are already suggesting that we should fight these forces. You are young Kyson. Having only gotten chuunin when you came to this village and have just only recently became a Jounin, now you have the position of Kazekage upon yourself. The Kazekage must speak for everyone and can't let memories no matter how hard they may be affect his decisions. Maku has already said for terms that Sunagakure won't become this supposed Rot Field like Kumo." still staring at Kyson, his own voice would come off as both powerful and as if someone that was in a leadership position was talking. He would only stare at the kid. His eyes not even blinking. "The only thing I have left to tell you is, will you risk the life of everyone in this village because of your memories. Or will you lead The Village of Sand into a new era. No villagers has to know about this treaty besides the ones in this room. For all they know, Maku could be your long lost brother coming to visit, who had came across Akatsuki attire." said Raizuko as he leaned on the desk, the pressure from his palm causing the wooden desk to tear apart slowly.
Moving, he would go back to his position against the wall. It wasn't that he was scared of the Akatsuki nor this Maku or Kumogakure. He was scared of what may happen to his people due to poor decisions made by the wrong people.

Re: Change of Scenery (p, io)

The next few moments escalated rather quickly with the Uzumaki listening rather intently, imagining her own response to the stranger’s demands. The only source of estrogen in the room shook her head subtly at Kyson’s response, only noticeable to any who had been staring at her directly at that exact moment. While she agreed with the overall concept, the method in which it was delivered painted Suna in an aura of pure weakness. If it had been the Uzumaki, sure she would have agreed to be a part of Kumo’s empire, but she wouldn’t have been so quick to admit that Maku could simply taken if they had chosen to refuse. She would have wished to seen it more of a partnership, of course with Kumo in charge. Nonetheless the damage was done.
What came next was the request of that the people be allowed to leave. It was no surprise that the foreigner dismissed this request instantly; for what is a captive village without it’s villagers? A bare wasteland. If that was what the man in the cloak sought, then they would all be dead by now. Why had Koroshi chosen him as his second of all people? The Uzumaki threw this in her vault of questions that she’d try to answer at a later date, but the longer this conversation ran, the more she realized that being under Kumo’s protection could possibly be a good thing considering they currently didn’t have a proper leader.
The Uzumaki wrinkled her forehead as Maku spoke, allowing Kyson to keep the misplaced title of Kazekage. Of course, the girl thought it was rather misplaced, but that was probably a discussion for a later date. Though the real shocker came from Royalty, who clearly didn’t seem to understand the complexity and sensitivity of the situation. His crude and rather blunt remark left the girl rather pissed off more than anything else. It’s as if he wanted the entirety of the village to be left in ruins like those of Iwa or old Kiri. “The best for everyone isn’t getting them killed” The girl replied sarcastically to the Jonin, coming in the moment he finished his last sentence. The girl left it at that. It was bad enough the four representatives of Suna couldn’t see eye to eye, nonetheless in front of the very man who single handedly was taking over their village. Kira wouldn’t drag out the discussion, and move on to what needed to be addressed since the other three didn’t seem to realize what needed to be discussed nor the fact that the person in control here, was Maku. She was damn glad she got to the gates when she did or the whole village would probably be six feet under by now.
Let’s be honest, no one had time for the lecture the other Jonin was about to give, so Kira got right to it before he had the chance, directing her attention towards the rather good looking male... Would it be inappropriate to say at this moment in time was when she realized the boy’s attraction? Oh well, he was fine as hell. Definitely had the bad boy thing going for him if that wasn’t obvious already. “You have our word, all of Suna will bow to you, and join the empire by your side.” The girl spoke with a sense of certainty. “We merely request those that are defiant don’t cause problems for the rest. Though, rest assured that those who are will be taken cared of accordingly.” Her eyes flicked towards Royalty who she hoped would keep his cool for not just his sake, but that of the village. Maku’s potential was unknown and by the way he carried himself, there was little doubt his demands would be sought out either way. If Roy truly wanted what’s best for the village, then he wouldn’t cause a scene.
Assuming she still had the floor, she’d continue, her heterochromatic eyes still locked on the seated male. “Now, what is it that you expect from us as a part of the Kumo Empire.” Their was a subtle playfulness to her voice, the airy tone that would help to show that she would easily cooperate and with pleasure. It wouldn’t be far to say that there was a touch of seductiveness to her voice. Didn’t hurt that she still wore her blood red dress that hugged her body into perfection; a slit on the right side exposing her smooth skin up to her mid thigh... Don’t judge her, she was on a date when this all went down, there was no time to change.
She had hoped that the other three hadn’t disagreed with her this far; and if they did, well hopefully they kept their pipes shut. Any more bickering would only cause them to appear weaker than they already looked (debatably were). Surely they would all have their opinions on her by the end of this, but she didn’t quite care. The people of the village came first, not one’s own pride. If that meant joining a massive empire that could offer them protection when they are at their most weakest... Well, that definitely beat Suna’s destruction if you asked me. Where was Raizuko’s monologue in all of this? That’s a good question, stay tuned to find out.
