"Yes, mam." Salzem agreed, Konoha couldn't possibly have an abundance of eyes in this conflict. "I'll contact her as soon as I can."
He wondered if Kira was even willing to participate in this at all... It might involve her getting close to the new occupying government... perhaps even joining it as an officer. Her own people might see her as a traitor, her friends now seeing her as a collaborator. She may be public enemy number 1 to those that haven't accepted the occupation if she was going to truly be their tap but then... this was their only real opportunity at having a spy... He had to be persuasive. Failure here could mean the end of Konoha's and Suna's way of life or at the very least a huge setback... Salzem was determined.
"If there is nothing else, My lady Hokage, I will get to it immediately." The lycan stated, bowing his head in respect to the village leader.
"I won't fail you."

"Very well," Ashi nodded once and waved the boy off. "Report to me directly when you know more."
Ashi then fell silent, the meeting was over and the boy could see himself out. Nothing else need be said for the time being. Salzem had his marching orders and Ashi hoped he would carry them out. The hard truth was that if using Salzem's love as a spy bettered Konohagakure then the Inuzuka didn't much care what happened to her afterward. This Kira was not part of the Leaf village and thus, given the situation, disposable. Hopefully, it wouldn't come down to having to make a choice that would cost a life, but, rest assured, if it did then Ashi wouldn't blink at choosing her village over anything and anyone else.
Such was the life an anbu had been raised to lead.
[Meh, sorry for the boring post.]

(Oh well. Topic's ending anyway.)
"As you say, Lady." And with that, Salzem was off to find a quiet place in Konohagakure to transmit his message. The best he could hope for really was that Kira would do him this little favor... Little... Feh... He was litterally going to ask her to betray her village in the public eye...
He smirked ruefully as he turned around and walked out of the Hokage's office and back down into the lobby, stuffing his hands into his pockets. He hoped he had some points to spend or he'd end up being a liar in the eyes of their village leader.

Lady...
As the door closed behind the chuunin, Ashi pondered the new titles she'd been given as of late. Hokage by some, interim Hokage by the more skeptical, and ma'am to others. Lady, however, was a new one and it felt more than a bit wrong. She never really wanted another title in her life, save for 'Operative Wolf'. Yet, here she was sitting where the person she normally served as an anbu should be sitting. Where did that leave her?
Well...she didn't know.
Luckily, work kept her from dwelling too heavily on her place in the world. When in doubt she could keep her nose to the grindstone and drown her worries in the monotony of day-to-day work of her temporary position. Then again, perhaps a drink or two was in order...
