Time to Shine (P, Reizo)
Mon Jun 05, 2017 3:55 pm
Earlier in the morning Senshi had tatted Komori, it was something he was trying hard not to think about much. He had other things on his mind after all, like how to get this darn Chakra Scalpel technique to work for him. Arms were crossed in thought was he was attached to the ceiling of his tattoo parlour, this time awaiting Reizo. For the second time, he would be attempting to place another tattoo seal of boosting on a shinobi. A rather risky procedure, but Reizo was a hardy (and lucky) sort of person, so Senshi was more optimistic about the blonde Chuunin’s chances. More so than he had been about Komori’s this morning, the twins just seemed to lack in luck.
But then maybe he was just biased, he liked to think that he wasn’t the sort to be biased but lets be honest here, Max and Reizo had been Senshi’s teammates as Genin. They had watched an execution together, been through hell and back together fighting the Maku Kage himself. They had history. So yea, he probably was a bit biased about Reizo’s chances. He still liked the twins, but really other than Komon, Senshi hadn’t had a true fight with them. He couldn’t see just how Komori would hold up against a truly threatening foe. Then again, Komori had assisted Reizo in bringing back the Two Tailed Bijuu, so maybe, just maybe he was as competent as his older brother.
Still his thoughts were digressing he needed to continue focusing on the Chaka Scalpel technique. He had the hand signs down pat, having practiced them obsessively. So now he wasn’t too worried about that. But, his focus was now on bringing out he medical chakra. As he performed the hand signs watching as the blue chakra began to coat his hands slowly he thought about the need, the desire to cut and rend flesh, but not the external flesh. Just internal, organs rupturing, tendons snapping, every gruesome thought he could think of came to mind as he focused on the technique.
He wasn’t certain it was working yet, but for now he allowed the blue chakra to coat his hands as he visualized what he wanted the technique to accomplished. One of the most important things when performing a technique for the first time was to ensure you had clearly in your mind what you wanted that technique to accomplish. That was where Senshi’s mind was for now. He could focus on physically performing the technique correctly later, for now, just get the basics down and work up slowly to what he truly needed to accomplish. That was the best and most efficient way after all.

Re: Time to Shine (P, Reizo)
Mon Jun 05, 2017 7:33 pm
Once again, Reizo was back to his daily grind. Even though he had been gone for a long time, in some ways it seemed he had never left. Just before his travel to Sunagakure, Reizo received his first tattoo for speed from Senshi; now it was time for him to complete the set and get his second one for strength. The blonde Chuunin walked to Senshi's tattoo shop where he would likely be setting up or waiting for the younger ninja's arrival.
It was a bit of a walk to Senshi's place from the dumpling cart where he had been helping his mom cook all morning, but Reizo was in a good mood and didn't mind reminiscing in the streets of Kumogakure. He took in all the sights: the decaying flora, the dreary faded coloring of the buildings, and the rags that most people not in shinobi uniform were wearing. Despite the apparent poverty, most of the citizens of Kumogakure seemed happy. There were some well-run businesses which showed that capitalism was still alive and well in Kumogakure, although the wealth gap always bothered Reizo. He had been fortunate enough to have been born in a stable economic situation, but many of the faces around him were gaunt. In Kumo it was mostly the military and the elites that were well off, while many of the villagers suffered.
After walking for about 30 minutes, Reizo arrived at Senshi's tattoo parlor. He didn't notice his teammate at first, but recalled his first visit to the shop where Senshi was on the ceiling doing exercises. The blonde scanned the ceiling and found his friend in some deep thought, his hands glowing with some type of jutsu. Having spent much of his time in the hospital, Reizo recognized it as either the Mystical Palm Technique or the Chakra Scalpel, both of which were popular in surgeries he had been allowed to observe. "Yo, Senshi, I'm here. I think it's about time we finished this procedure, yeah?" Reizo asked as he stepped further into the artist's den. "I already have a design in mind, so I think it would be great if we started right away," Reizo said, taking out a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket that showed a tiger design. "Since Komori already used my right shoulder for the Iron Seal, I was thinking we could use my left arm for this 'un," the Chuunin continued, placing the piece of paper on a nearby table. "Strength this time, of course," Reizo finished. The two-tails had been rather quiet during all of this, probably exhausted from the night of bothering Reizo and making sure he couldn't sleep. The bags under Reizo's eyes showed that he wasn't getting as much sleep as he was accustomed to. He was considering maybe trying sleeping pills to remedy that.

Senshi’s mind continued to flow with thoughts about the chakra scalpel but all of those would come to a halt as his shop door opened up. Brown mixed green eyes watched as his blonde haired, fourteen year old, teammate walked into the shop, taking a moment to notice that the Jounin was hanging upside down from the ceiling, just as he had been upon their first attempt at this technique. Still, while his alertness disappointed Senshi, he wasn’t at all surprised once he saw his probably friends face. He could see the clear tiredness that lurked in his eyes, and the slight dropping of his face, rather like that of an old hag or witch, gave away his true tiredness.
Who’d have thought that his young, male friend would ever have a resemblance to old, wart faced women. Alas he did. He certainly wouldn’t be getting any brides with a face like that. Not that Senshi would ever tell him that or even that he looked like complete and utter baby poop. Nope, he was that kind of friend that would let you walk around with a booger hanging out of your nose. Wasn’t his business or job to tell you about it after all. With his observation of his teammate completed Senshi released the chakra in his feet and landed with a slight bending of his knees on his shop floor. Barely a whisper of a sound came from his landing but once he had landed he listened as Reizo began speaking, nodding along in agreement.
He too wanted to get this show on the road, and get the teenager his tattoo’s. Hopefully the seal would take and not be rejected like Komon’s had been. But then Reizo, he was a smart sort, and Senshi knew he would have come prepared. He trusted the teenaged Chuunin with his life after all. It was almost like Reizo was a teenage mutant ninja turtle and Senshi was a giant Rat who was his sensei teaching him things right now. Making him better so that Kumo would have strong protection from its shinobi. But then the image faded, and Reizo became a blonde haired Chuunin who’d probably start getting acne soon due to being a teenager.
Something Senshi had gotten to skip because well, age pills were amazing. No more awkward teenage years. Back on topic, Senshi walked over viewing the image of a tiger that Reizo wanted on his left arm. He would need to do a bit of creative work to hide the seals within this image since it was similar to his own tattoo on his right arm. But he would be able to do it, best not to let someone see the seals and learn to copy them after all. With that he moved over to his tables that held the ink in them speaking finally as he did so. “That will work quite well. I heard word that Komori and you were sent on a rather difficult mission, did it turn out well?” Senshi turned back to look at Reizo holding two bottles of black ink.
He slid into his chair, placing the ink on the rolling table as he did so and began preparing the materials. Laying out some aquafor, a rather useful substance to help in applying a tattoo and in the healing process, paper towels and pulling Irezumi Ju from his little alternate storage dimension. He picked up the gun sparking it with his lightning chakra for a moment and delighting in the buzz that it gave. He turned back to Reizo and gestured towards the table in front of him. As he did so he spoke, “Go ahead and sit down, remove your jacket and shirt so that your arm is exposed from shoulder to wrist.” While he waited for Reizo to do that he would lower the table down so that he could remain sitting while he worked on the boy. His great height an excellent benefit to this.

Re: Time to Shine (P, Reizo)

Reizo felt like more of a man after his encounter with the tailed beast. This time around, he decided against grinding his teeth on the mouth guard and to just grit and bear the pain of the needle. It wasn't even that bad the first time, and surely this would feel like nothing compared to the hot blue fire of Matatabi. His False Skin jutsu had staved off the worst of the potential burns, and he had healed up almost anything that could've scarred badly. The only marks left from the fight were the Iron Seal on his right shoulder and the mild burn scar down his right calf where the flames had been most intense as its where he delivered the "killing" blow. He had healed all of the other lighter burns, which might surprise Senshi should he expect to see damages from the fight.
"Komori told you that , huh? Yeah. While we were relocated in Tornado Country the Two-Tailed Bjuu attacked and demolished the Kumo camp we had set up there. Komori and I valiantly fought and defeated the creature, and he then sealed it in my right arm," Reizo said, removing his jacket and then his shirt to reveal the new Iron Seal on his right shoulder, as well as the speed seal tattoo on his back from the previous time Senshi applied them. It still looked fresh, two Foo Dogs with the seal for speed saddled between them. It was very intricate as Senshi had done a good job, and it had a very authentic graphite-like finish. This time he would have something similar done to his arm for the strength seal. He wasn't a big fan of the colored inks. Reizo just wasn't one for all the flash, he was all about practicality with a little bit of flare. It's why he got an intricate tattoo instead of the lame as shit wave Komori got. Subtle, effective, but cool is how he went about his life and training.
"It was a pretty crazy fight. Komori was acting like a pansy for almost all of it and he even almost stopped me from dealing the killing blow because he was afraid I'd die in the beast's fire. No confidence in my ability or his own. He did give us the opportunity in the first place though. His special barrier was just barely strong enough to resist the intense blue fire for my cloak and False Skin to resist it.
Even though he nearly threw it, he's the only reason I was able to get in range to strike, so I guess I owe him that much," Reizo continued. He would then take his designated seat with his muscular left arm next to Senshi. He was incredibly buff for someone that was only 14, but since he had only just started puberty the size concealed the incredible strength behind them. Although his arms weren't quite the size of Senshi's Adonis arms, Reizo still looked like a mini-Hector. "I'm ready," he said, clenching his jaw to brace for the needle.

Senshi was surrounded by idiots who were known as his comrades. Yay. You felt more like a man because you took on a legendary tailed beast, and my god you won and got the damn thing sealed inside of you. Sure the fires of Matabi would feel much worse on the outside of the body but if Reizo had even a lick of common sense he would have spoken to Komon about the incredible, earth shattering pain that a failed seal could bring upon the body. How it would destroy you not just physically but also mentally. Fricken. Idiots. That is who Senshi worked with.
Instead of using everything in their arsenal in order to help them succeed they decided to sit there and show off just how ‘strong’ they were and why they didn’t ‘need’ any extra help. If Reizo made it through this sealing it would be based on luck alone and Senshi would forever stare at him with just a slight glint in his eye saying hat Reizo had failed him as a teammate in not coming as prepared as possible fro something. This was also a lesson to Senshi himself to remember not to allow the hubris that seemed to be infecting his fellow shinobi to infect him as well. No matter what if he didn’t think he needed the help of something or someone he would still get it.
That way he couldn’t look back on something like this and wonder what if he had done something to better prepare himself. There would be no hindsight twenty twenty issues with him the way there were with Komon. Senshi didn’t expect to see damage from the fight only because he knew how many shinobi valued their aesthetic looks. Most shinobi didn’t want to show off wounds the way Senshi did and went to great lengths to hide them or heal them. Senshi himself, couldn’t have cared less. Save the chakra and the healing abilities to bring back shinobi from the brink of death. He could handle a few scars, looking good had nothing to do with being a good shinobi after all.
As Reizo spoke, and hen stripped for him the excessively large Jounin leant forwards looking over the Iron Seal tattoo. It appeared to be quite and easy seal to apply, the only problem being tat Senshi was more focused on things such as speed and strength not chakra. This seal clearly required that the user of it be capable of overpowering whatever they were sealing with their own chakra. Not something that Senshi could exactly rely on. But he might be bale to reqork the seal to draw on his physical strength instead of his chakra, that way he would be able to seal bijuu such as these. It was an idea in the least. HE finally leaned back nodding to Reizo, and throwing out all the extreanous words such as ‘valiantly fought’.
All Kumo shinobi valiantly fought their opponenets, there was no need to really go into that much detail over it. Senshi nodded as he picked up the tattoo gun allowing the buzzing to fill the air of the shop for several moments before he leant forwards and drew the first few seals onto Reizo’s arm. As he did so he finally spoke again, it would do well as the General fo the defence forces to know what the offensive forces had been up to this entire time. “How was your war front? We merely received the occasional update here, but if the legendary beasts are roaming about things must be direr than I had assumed. IT is good that Komon and I managed to capture the three tails before it could cause too much damage.”

Re: Time to Shine (P, Reizo)
Fri Jun 16, 2017 4:43 pm
Reizo let Senshi inspect his Iron Seal, not shying away from his friend's curiosity. He wasn't the type to show off, but he figured the seal's design would pique the Jounin's interest as he was a Fuuinjutsu specialist himself. That was why Reizo was here, after all. This would be the second and final seal for Reizo. He knew the procedure for the second one tended to be riskier as the tattoo became more volatile. He knew Komon had failed his first attempt by being too careless, and unbeknownst to Reizo, Komori had failed the second one in a similar fashion earlier that morning. It was unnerving to suggest that Reizo had a good chance of joining his two failing comrades, but he knew that the outcome, despite all of the precautions taken by him and Senshi, was possible. It may not be all that likely, but it was still an outcome that had to be accounted for.
Of course, Reizo was in much better shape to begin with than his soft, lanky, and pale friend, and he was much more fortunate, more sensible, and stronger than the other twin. This meant that his chances were exponentially higher of successfully receiving the seal. However, zero raised to any exponent will still be zero, so Reizo wasn't exactly hedging his bets on a successful tatting. He just hoped that the recent lack of success wasn't impairing Senshi's focus. Reizo knew how demoralizing it could be to fail at something he had practiced so much, yet still come up short.
As the buzz of the pen rang through the air, the blonde Chuunin considered his friend's inquiry. Truth be told, Reizo didn't contribute much to the war effort. Most of his deployment had been spent as a reinforcement unit in Wind Country only to be relocated to Tornado Country when it became clear that his company wasn't needed on the main front. Upon arriving in Tornado Country though, he found that much of the Kumo forces had been taken out by the two-tailed beast. Reizo decided to just relay the events as they happened, but he would keep it brief as he wanted to make sure he wasn't distracting Senshi from his craft. "The war front? I was stationed in Wind Country for most of it as a reserve unit, and then I was relocated to Tornado Country to help on that front when it was apparent the main front was taken care of by the Makukage. The front in Tornado Country was nearly wiped out or deserted by the time my company arrived there by a random attack from the Two-Tailed demon cat. As I said regarding that though, Komori and I took care of it," Reizo recalled, wincing from the needle's oscillation. He could feel the region where the ink was being injected getting hotter, but he wasn't sure if it was from the needle actually being hot or if it was just the pain and intense friction against his skin.
Reizo heard a low grumble originating from seemingly nowhere when he winced. Apparently the process was causing some unrest with his new roommate. What's with all the buzzing? I can feel that burn too. Just what are you doing now? the demon cat mumbled in its dominating female voice. Even though it was technically impossible to discern its gender, Reizo concluded to just refer to the Niibi as a she, based entirely on its attitude and voice. It's nothing, Cat, Reizo assured, if it goes well, it's guaranteed to make me that much stronger, so you should be hoping for its success too. If it fails, it'll be detrimental to my growth, and we'll be set back possibly years worth in training. Reizo figured that the allure of increased power would be enough to sate the beast's curiosity and stop it from interfering. Matatabi sneered, but knew there was nothing she could do to change the situation. It's interrupting my sleep, but I'll let it go this one time, child. Don't mess it up, it responded before settling in its den within Reizo's mental space. The blonde was relieved that he managed to control her this time, but he knew it would only be a matter of time before she wanted to "have fun". He couldn't keep holding her back while they constantly bickered about everything. She was still upset and in denial of her situation, being locked within a human. Her reactions were very understandable, and Reizo was empathetic. She would come around eventually, or Reizo would force her to submit one way or another.
A few hours passed, and it seemed Senshi was on the verge of finishing his work. Now it would just be a matter of luck and conviction to see if the seal would take hold. Hopefully he would break the trend set by the previous seal recipients. Reizo waited with bated breath.

Senshi gave a light smile to his teammate. Ironic how the idiot twins failed but his teammate succeeded. Maybe Komon and Komori shoulda had a. Enter relationship with him. With a nod Senshi cleaned everything up and headed out.

OOC: Senshi posting made me realize I never did claims
The tattoo and seal seemed to take hold correctly, which delighted Reizo. Still, he wouldn't know until he tested it out for sure. He'd have to let it heal some before he was willing to try. Putting his shirt back on and gathering his belongings, Reizo left for other ventures.
----- Exit (cuz I forgot to state it previously) -----
Claims:
Strength Seal + Combined Speed/Strength Seal 3000/3000 words (between the two of us)
Knowing Senshi's chakra signature for Mind's Eye
148/3750 words needed for healing
