Bandit Camps/Old Ruins/Basic Fuinjutsu Seal Get!

Ever since Raven had activated his bloodline ability, a thirst or a passion had seemingly awoken inside of him. Something inside of him was unsettling him, the thirst for knowledge while great during his childhood, it nowhere reached the levels it was now. It took a conscious effort on his part to keep his usual calm. He was unsure whether all Uzumaki go through this or if he was unique. Trying to settle himself, he paced inside of the forest. The tree climbing/ surface walking coming in handy big time now.

When the sun was directly above him, Raven came upon a small clearing in the forest. Knowing such clearings were uncommon and suspicious, Raven immediately put his guard up, and rightly so as an arrow whizzed past his face, which would have killed him if not for his reflexes. Taking out a kunai from his holster, he put up a defensive stance and started looking around for signs of his attacker.

He built up his confidence when no attacks followed nor could he see his attacker, and said out loud "Who are you and what do you want!". After some whispering noises from within the trees to which he pinpointed the location of, a voice roared out "That is a question we should be asking you. You come inside of our territory unannounced, looking all suspicious in that hood you are wearing. And besides how can we know if you are who you say or if you are just a bandit imposter". Raven thought for a second and replied "Well I do not have any proof with which I can claim that I am not a bandit, but you are the one who shot first(LOL!!). To answer your question, I am Raven. An adventurer who wants to travel the world in peace. Now if you leave me be, I will be on my way."

A different aged voice laughed loudly and said "Hahaha! An adventurer! Haven't seen any of your kind in this world. You must be tough enough to handle a few rabid beasts and maybe put them in their place?"
Raven asked "Are you asking me what you are asking? And even if I did have some amount of strength that could be of use, why should I help those who attacked me from nowhere."

The voice replied "I may be old but I am not a fool young boy. You definitely are a shinobi from those hidden villages we have heard about. Whether or not you are official or not that is yet to be determined, but I know someone with power when I see one. And if a reward is what you seek, then as an adventurer you would probably appreciate a few locations to a few ruins?"
The first voice interjected "But Sir! He could be a bandit! He cannot be trusted"
The old voice replied "It is not like we will be losing anything. If anything we are at a benefit."

Raven thought for a few moments before saying "I accept. But those ruins better be worth it Old Man" emphasizing the old part. "I'll be back in a few after I take out the rabid beasts. I hope you won't mind me taking a finder's fee as well? " Raven said and immediately shot out of the clearing.

After a few minuted Raven was back and asked "Ummm... this is awkward but where is this bandit camp?"

After being given the right directions, Raven hastily made his way to the small camp. It was a small clearing in the forest with makeshift huts and wooden blockade walls. Although those proved to be useless with surface walking. Raven sneaked his way around and as per his usual protocol while handling bandit camps he made a perimeter check and also spied on the bandits to get a small estimate of what he was working with. He got an estimate of about 30 bandits with one prominent member sticking out, which Raven believed to be the leader. He also saw a particularly large hut which seemed to consist of two parts, both of them windowless, while both had doors most bandits frequented only one room. He had sneaking suspicion on those two huts but didn't elaborate further, instead focusing on his plan to get rid of these menaces.

He knew that once the leader was down the others would definitely panic and he wouldn't be able to completely wipe them out. Taking out his pair of kunai, he silently silenced the post guards and the watch guards, along with the unfortunate few who walked upon him doing the deed. Slowly but steadily he whittled down their numbers to where it was actually noticeable to the others. The now alarmed bandits rushed to get their weapons and those with weapons readied them.

Raven not wanting to let them have an upper hand threw a few kunai at the bandits and killed a couple of them while the others were blocked or dodged. The bandit leader bellowed in rage " COME OUT YOU FILTHY SWINE! SHOW YOUR FACE SO THAT I COULD MESS IT UP!" while looking at the place from where the kunai came from.

Knowing that keeping to the shadows no longer gave him the upper hand nor the surprise factor, Raven jumped into the camp while assassinating two close by bandits. Looking at Raven the bandit leader laughed and said "Lookie here boys! Look at what we have! A little lost girl who thinks she can take us out. Maybe after I am done defeating you I can make up for the lost numbers!! HAHAHAH!!"

Not liking the bandits' misconception of his gender, he made up his mind to leave no quarters. When the leader yelled charge and the bandits charged at her him he took on an offensive stance and with greater speed and agility made his way around their attacks while attacking and taking down bandits all at the same time. The leader also made his move when he could clearly see that his men were not able to subdue her.

Raven dodged all of their attacks and even with the leader adding in a few swings here and there it didn't make his life any more difficult. While the leader's swings were heavy they were slow. Exceptionally so. And Raven even misdirected his attacks to further whittle down their numbers. And soon there was only Raven and the leader who at this time was on his knees looking defeated and exhausted.

Raven then spoke in a monotonous tone "For all the sins you have done bandit, I have come to reap your life. Also don't take it personally it is just pure business. But I can give you a free information before you die. I am a male" which were the last words the leader heard before a kunai was unceremoniously plunged into his head, instantly killing him. Raven never liked to prolong anyone's death even if they were heinous criminals.

Looking at the leader's shin guards and bracers, he looted off of the corpse and wore them for extra safety. Steeling his mind for what was to come and what he was about to see, he made his way to the two big huts. As soon as he opened the door to the frequented room, he was hit with a pungent odor, which almost made him gag. And looking inside he knew why. Seeing their lifeless eyes, he decided to end their misery. After helping out those poor souls, he prayed in general hoping that whatever god they worshiped could help them find their peace now.

Now going to the second room, he saw what he expected, a treasury, albeit a very shoddy and empty one. With only a few rusty swords and spears, and a few rare jewels he was disappointed. After all that work he could only find a few ryo and a couple of gems, the rest was unusable. He only hoped now that the ruins were well worth it.

Going back to the clearing where he last found those anonymous voices, he loudly said in a monotonous voice "I have done as you requested and killed of the rabid beasts."
The old voice then soon replied "And what of the poor wounded deer?"
Raven sighed and said a bit weakly "Put them out of their misery. They were almost dead and already ravaged by the beasts. Besides none had any indication of being conscious or even remotely functional."
The old voice replied weakly "huh.... That was what I feared. I must thank you young man. As per decided I shall tell you the ruin location. But first I think you will appreciate a little gift from our sides as a token of appreciation."
As soon as that was heard a small bag was thrown from seemingly nowhere and landed in front of Raven.
The voice said "The locations are inside there as well, and I wish you luck on your journeys young boy."

Raven nodded and bowed a bit and took the bag. After walking a few distance away from the clearing he opened up the bag to see a few scrolls. Looking at the scrolls, he was intrigued. They were on Fuinjutsu something which he yearned for in Nami but couldn't find the resources to do so, and one was substitution technique. Intrigued by the old man who clearly wasn't as simple as Raven thought he was, he then opened up the paper which had the location of the ruins marked down in relation to the clearing. They were very ambiguous and misleading. Sighing Raven put it all in his backpack and started to try and find his mystery ruin.

It took him a day to find those ruins considering that he had to stop to sleep through the night. They were very run down, almost on the verge of complete destruction. The only thing that set it apart from the other rocks was that it was clearly a four walled structure of sorts which then leaded underground.

Taking a clear risk and making a makeshift torch with dried wood and some flint and steel, he made his way down the tunnel. Looking around he saw some weird crude drawings on the wall. But one thing was certain throughout, a single symbol which kind of looked like a whirlpool. While Raven was not that knowledgeable about clans and their symbols, he certainly knew about the Uzumaki, in search for anything he could find out about his parents and clan.

As he reached deeper and deeper he soon came across an altar of sorts with very complex looking fuin all around and over it. There were two layers to it. When he tried to go through to the center he was blocked, and he wasn't able to move further ahead. Trying out the method to bypass blood seals as he was clearly Uzumaki, he used the kunai to prick his finger, which he claimed that it hurt a lot, and let a few bloods drop. A few of the complex fuin hummed to life and glowed an eerie red while the others still remained inactive. Deciding that he didn't meet the qualifications yet, he gave up and went back up. Deciding to come back later when he was more adept at the art, Raven made his way out and then began his way back to wherever he was heading before this incident.

Going in further into the forest then deciding to give the substitution technique a try, he let down his backpack, and read the technique description and method of activation. Tiger → Boar → Ox → Dog → Snake. Feeling himself being pulled in a certain direction, yet not too much to actually do anything, the jutsu fizzled down.
Trying out many times before he put in the needed amount of chakra, he felt the pull strong enough and gave into it. He was then suddenly shifted to a new perspective from behind trees. He then saw an illusion copy of himself still in the place of his last location. Deciding to see what he had substituted with,he threw a kunai at his illusion which poofed a few seconds after being hit, and turned into a fallen log. Noting the usefulness of the technique he then practiced with the technique until it almost became second nature to him. Almost because it turned night and he needed his beauty sleep. Before going to sleep he decided on reading through the fuinjutsu scrolls a bit the next day, as his thirst was becoming too much for him to handle whenever he looked at or held those fuinjutsu scrolls.
