Let's be Gardeners -D rank

Mission Link
On his first mission he learned something new about this village and its people, to be honest he was still processing it all. Wisdom was passed down to the male that stuck with him however so he had walked away with a lot more than he should have, but thanks to the ninja that took on the mission he knew how to blend in a little better while he was out in certain areas of the village. Taking care to make sure his head band had been properly hidden, he took it off of his waist and slid it underneath the collar of his jacket and made sure to check the mirror three times, four even to assure no one could see it and he was in the clear. With the thoughts of yesterday still on his mind he took on another mission of his own volition, but since he was only registered as a genin he took another low ranking mission and applied. His partner had once again been chosen so he made effort to get to the gates with haste. Leaving out of his room he swiftly walked out of the palace and made his way to the gates.
Today he had paid attention to the looks each person gave him, what were once careless stares came a little softer noting the boys positive features instead of looking at him for what he was. Felt good to be normal even if he knew he was anything but, after all the young male was raised by animals and if they knew who he was born of well...best leave that alone. With each stride toward the gate he made mental notes of the peoples expressions, some the same though some had eased up and became more civil if he had to put his finger on it. As long as they weren't throwing things at him again he was fine with this. After all if they did it this time he might have just went a little over the edge, but the guards would have probably stopped that.
The time it took the male to get to the gates, show his mission details to the guards and get out to the area took a little too long, but if his partner was out there already he would wave and walk over to them. If not? He would begin to survey the area to see what needed to be done to what. Seeing as many of the plants needed to be watered or moved to different areas he made sure at least the people giving him the mission were giving the duo the tools that they needed to get the job done. He did however see what was needed, but he would first start with seeing what his partner wanted to do. So providing they were there he walked over to them and spoke rather quickly," What's first?," whatever they had said was first he'd get to work.

Yet again, she had been assigned a low ranking mission.
Yet again with what she had found out was a prince.
Perhaps someone within the mission assigning team had ideas that paralleled Shiroi's? If so, they obviously thought she could pass them onto the young prince. Perhaps she could, though would it be worth it?
Waiting just outside the gates, her 'clothing' would be a lot plainer. It looked like a long woolen shirt and baggy pants. It was, quite frainkly, very bland. Peasant-y, even. And yet still she had the scarf.
Alongside her were two large pails of water, and one medium sized watering can. There was also a single sapling, roots curled up in a ball of dirt encased by burlap entwined with, well, twine.
Noticably lacking was shears for trimming, and there were several bushes overgrown on the side of the pathway.
"First?" Shiroi would respond, reaching into the pocket of her shirt (yes her shirt has a pocket, in the same way a hoodie does. She's not very original with clothing, OK?) "First, you catch." With a swift movement, she would pull a kunai out of her pocket and toss it towards Kazuhiro with a slight circular momentum. She did not toss if very fast, and it was not rotating fast. It also was not rotating well, the blade would be pointing towards Kazu when it was within arm's reach. That would make it awkward for him to grab it if he wanted to, though certainly not impossible. The other option for him was to wait for it to hit the ground without harming anything, and then pick it up. Shiroi kind of hoped he grabbed it, but did not care either way. "Start trimming, that bush, I've got a tree to uproot." Her thumb would be pointing to the overgrown bush. She would then turn towards an obviously dying tree with a blue ribbon wrapped around it. With a hand seal, her arms grew in length. Then, with a deep breath, she wrapper her seemingly glowing arms around the trunk. After this point, it took about a minute of slowly applying upwards and inwards pressure to the back of the trunk for it to come fully out of the ground, with roots almost entirely intact. She would throw the tree to the side, well away from wherever Kazuhiro happened to be and, with her skin and arms returning to normal, grab the sapling. Placing it in the hole, she cut the twine and pulled out the burlap before tenderizing the dirt ball. Then it was just a matter of filling the hole in with loose dirt and some fertilizer that was resting nearby.

As he finally got out of the gates it would have taken him only a moment or two to notice the female accompanying him on this mission, it was none other other than the same one who had done the mission with him yesterday. The smile turned into a small grin as he finally got to her and asked his question though her response was a little ...off. He stepped back just a bit to let the kunai fall in front of him, knowing full well to never grab a sharp object even if it was thrown for you to catch. He stared at the steel blade for a moment before picking it up into his right hand, examining each edge and surface before returning his attention to Shiori. Trim the bushes over there huh? That didn't sound too hard to be honest and if she wanted to do the heavy lifting then she could. He needed practice with a certain thing anyways so this made since.
As he walked over to the bushes he looked over his shoulder for a moment to see if anyone had been looking before holding his hands in a snake seal, his shadow wobbling and forming into three tendrils that he began to use to cut the other bushes albeit it was looking a little rough until he remembered it slowly began to mimic his actions. With his right hand he made slow, steady strokes with the kunai which caused the tendrils to move along with him. There was a small smile on his face as he continued cutting the bushes until they had looked the same, the shadow tendrils slowly receding into his shadow as he walked down to each one. Red eyes inspected each bush for consistency, nice trimming and above all a neat look that said welcome to Hoshi. He stopped at the last one that he missed a lot on since he wasn't paying attention to this one and sighed softly.
Taking the kunai back out he began to slowly work on what he had done and cut a few branches here and there, his eyes following each stroke to assure that he made the right cut. Once he had finished he stepped back to notice his work and felt pleased with himself," This looks okay to me to be honest and they look new....like. Now then," he slowly turned around to look for Shiori to see how she had been doing. Apparently during the time he spent cutting bushes she had managed to uproot a whole tree and replant it....What kind of woman was she? He wanted to ask but he thought if he did she might take offense or throw him like she did the tree. Being a kid and not knowing what would make a woman angry sure sucked. Then again she could easily explain why she could do it. The many decisions had racked his brain left and right but at least he managed to get his side of the job done and have fun while doing it.

Shiroi looked over towards the boy. He had successfully trimmed a bush. Thank god the kid was a he or that would be a euphemism in very poor choice. Hell, even as a guy, it is still one of those!
"Well, it's not terrible," she would say, observing the bush. It had been styled. He had not needed to style it, simply trim it so that it was not in the path and did not look fucking terrible. But hey, can't harp on him for going above and beyond, not in this at least. And he did it pretty fast, too.
"Also, you can pick your jaw up," she would say after reading the look on his face, even if his jaw was not down, as it seemed a good phrase for surprise. "I'm strong. Big deal." Her hands slotted together and powered coursed through her body. Her skin would have taken on a changing neon pattern, if she had not suppressed that, so outwardly she looked perfectly normal. With that, she would pick up the trunk once more, lifting it up onto one shoulder, with roughly the center of gravity resting upon her body, and one arm reaching as far up it as she could manage.
"Best get to watering," she would say as she carried the tree away a distance. There were two large pails of water, and some plants that were looking half dead. Way too few to justify all that water, but Shiroi had not been the one to collect it, so someone else screwed the pooch.
Shiroi walked away with the tree, heading to a location rather far out. Once there, she grabbed the axe that was waiting for her and began chopping away. The tree had been infested, and they were going to burn it to kill off the parasites. But it was too big to burn at first, so they needed it shrunk down. A lot. And that was now Shiroi's job. With a hack here and a hack there, she took off the branches, transported them a short distance, and started the fire with a lighter, some paper, and some lighter fluid. Back to the trunk, and hack away the roots. Throw them in the fire. Back to the trunk now, grab the saw. Start working through the wood. Shiroi released her strengthening around this point, it would not help her here. Slowly but surely, the trunk was chopped up into smaller pieces. These were then cracked into fourths with the axe before being thrown into the fire. It was going smoothly, the work was almost all done.
Eventually, the tree would be dismantled, and Shiroi would pick up the oversized tarp it had been resting on while she hacked away at it and cut it up. Bunching it up, she would throw it into the fire. Now she just had to watch it until only embers remained and put out the embers.
The flames danced upon the back light of the sky. If it had been night, it might have been beautiful. But in the middle of the day, in this weather, it was... uncomfortable. Shiroi sighed as she realized how much her hoodie, even as airy ans loose as it was in its sleeveless state, was making her sweat. With a meeting of her hands, she changed into something much... skimpier, and went to sit in the nearby pond to watch the flames burn away. She mostly submerged herself, keeping only her nose and up above the waterline. It was beautifully cool compared to the actual weather.
It was around the time of the fire disappearing and only embers remaining that Shiroi one if not both of those buckets were meant to put out the fire, and perhaps nothing had needed watering after all. She sighed, ascended from her watery home, and began transporting dirt and packing it onto the coals. She would certainly need a shower after today.
[Obviously this isn't a super massive tree, just a decently sized one.]
