Arise, Kirigakure [Village Exit]
Thu Aug 17, 2017 2:56 pm
- Spoiler:
Time never seemed to have much of a grasp on Xyxer as of late. Seconds turned into minutes, minutes into hours, hours into days and so on. Yet as of late, the only thought that consistently entered the mind of The Abysswalker was one of his legacy. His grasp on the world as of late had been too meek despite his accomplishments throughout the world. He'd survived the destruction of Old Kirigakure, he'd been the cause of ruin for Tengakure, and then he had also conquered Shimagakure.. but why did it stop there? Why had he postponed his birthright for such a large period of time? No man within the world could hold a blade half as aptly as the Mizukage. Many had clashed swords with the titan of weaponry before finding themselves overpowered by his furious onslaught and deft counters, a feature that he had became well known for throughout his history of fighting. He'd once garnered the ironic moniker, 'Wrath of Tengakure' due to his feral ways in combat.. yet he'd earned no true nickname after that other than the petty one the children called him, 'tyrant'.
Xyxer had always been an impulsive man, that much could not be denied by anyone who had encountered him. His actions had always occurred sporadically and brutally, only lending to the fear that the man had started to develop and groom from his young ninja life. Even within the village of the most bloody village to exist within the world he had been the most feared, nameless shinobi to walk the streets. The ANBU with a complete ignorance to petty things such as morals and empathy.. those only got in the way of one attaining their position within their world. That was something many of today's shinobi did not understand. That was fine. Xyxer would introduce the world to the pinnacle of a shinobi, and show them what an absence of care for others can achieve for one that was bold enough to head that route.
On this day, however, the thoughts had bombarded Xyxer as he sat in his council meeting with the daimyo and various other leading roles within the village. His head was rarely empty as he thought about many unpleasant things throughout the day: The most painful way to strike a man, elaborate ways to invoke fear and admiration from his populace amongst other things.. but this time those voices had been subsided by the thoughts of legacy. The thoughts of Konoha and their part in the destruction of his home. Their hand in the death of his mentor. The safety they granted Shinji Uzumaki, a man who would permanently stain the memory of Xyxer. This village had been the sole contributor to all of Xyxer's misery, and they believed themselves to be superior to others solely due to their ancestry and their lineage. The Great Hokages watched over their village, and that must have been why the Hyuuga were so arrogant with such presumptuous arrogance.. they were of Konoha's ilk. Xyxer, however, was of the Bloody Mizukage lineage, and he would bring about a new age to the shinobi of Konohagakure and test whether they had grown complacent and weak without any true strife to encourage them to train. An exciting prospect.
As his peers spoke about mundane events that didn't concern him, Xyxer lifted his head slowly before focusing his icy gaze onto a single man in particular, a man he'd spoken to frequently to prepare him for this sort of event. "Prepare the armies, Masaru. I want at least half of our forces mobilized and prepared for a naval assault come the end of the night." he declared abruptly, causing a silence to fall over the council.. what were they to do? If they opposed him openly, he'd likely kill them if the stories were true.. so they simply bowed their heads in silent fear and allowed Xyxer to stand up from his seat. As he did so, a single male in a flowing teal kimono pushed up from the table as well before following beside Xyxer as the Mizukage started to make his way towards the academy. "What're your intentions, Xyxer?" The male calmly asked, to which he'd be granted a reply, "We sail to Konohagakure No Sato first, what happens there is down to them. Fetch a large portion of Kirigakure's treasury to bring with us, war is rough". It was a simple exchange, one that they could both respect as the other male headed off in a separate direction to carry out the orders
Upon stepping out from the Mizukage chambers in which the meetings were held, Xyxer could already see people scurrying around in the streets as word spread like a fire throughout the densely populated village. The cogs had started to turn and the gears of war were beginning to function, albeit slowly.. this would be a great happening for the village of Kirigakure, and for his legacy. Xyxer calmly stepped through the streets of his village as the civilians and shinobi hurried around to congregate where it had been said that the Mizukage will make the declaration, after all, he'd only do it in the spot that held the most significance within the village through these recent times. The spot of an execution seemed ripe for that idea. As he started to make his way to the position, he noted silent, masked ANBU operatives slinking in with the crowd and standing on rooftops around the vicinity to provide proper coverage for him, although it was doubtful that he'd need it at all.
Today would be the beginning of something different.. the first of many days that New Kirigakure would interact with the outside world. As Xyxer stood boldly on the ascending steps that had been the stage for Ren's execution, he prepared to give his declaration of Kirigakure's intentions and how they would interact with those they found. It'd been too long since the world feared of the mist, but with Xyxer, that fear would be renewed. Gazing out over his people as they congregated, he could see civilians and shinobi alike for what seemed like miles on end to hear his words. Beginning, he'd simply lift his hands up to present himself to the people, "Subjects of Kirigakure. You all know who I am. You all know the importance of what I'm about to say is otherwise you wouldn't be hearing it from me. For years we've distanced ourselves from the crumbling world outside the storm. We've ignored the rot that's set in, and we've carried on building our own village. Our own lives. We've united the forces of Tengakure No Sato and Shimagakure No Sato to create a new, prosperous village that paved it's own way." Xyxer paused for a moment to let his words sink in before he continued on, "We've grown too much to be contained within this storm. In a world that's plagued with mediocrity and weakness, we'll lay our claim and rebuild it to the standards our age old brethren expected. The Major Villages have grown weak and weary, just like the shinobi that govern them. The world is ours for the taking if we're bold enough to demand it.. and so that's exactly what we're doing."
This time, Xyxer took a longer pause so that the crowd would become fixated on him, waiting for his next words. He looked over the crowd as they seemed to be more excited than fearful.. they were ready to get their hands dirty, and these people were his own. It was at this time that he started to feel pride for what he had created. His grin became apparent as he declared the final words before he made his way from the stage and to his flagship, The Silence, which would be at the head of the fleet.
"Kirigakure, we are going to war!"

As the crowd gathered outside to hear what words the Mizukage would speak, one silver-toned girl, sitting in a wheelchair bearing the emblem of Kirigakure, sat at the very front of the crowd. The first of the Shinobi to arrive, Aryll Hyuuga eagerly awaited The Mizukage's words. Though she hadn't a single inkling as to what he was about to say, her trust in Xyxer was so implicit that she felt no anxiety for what was to come, as others in the crowd surely might have. Kirigakure had surely changed much in the years since it's formation, but weakness and rot festered in even the strongest walls, and Kirigakure was no exception. They'd be purged in the coming fixes for blood, surely.
The crowd roared with approval at Xyxer's words, and Aryll along with them. She was exhilarated. This was another chance for her to prove herself to Xyxer, by striking at the very heart of her pompous and arrogant clan. Village loyalties were respected by the Hyuuga, but those fools in Konoha were always the most proud and foolish, striking at their home would simultaneously rid Aryll of them and their ilk and simultaneously prove her worth.
The war was about to begin, but Aryll had no thoughts of the danger ahead. This wouldn't be a battle. It would be a slaughter. As Xyxer finished his speech, Aryll summoned Thane, who appeared in a poor of smoke and was immediately contacted by her chakra threads. He lifted her quickly and set her inside the chassis, before marching along with the rest of Kirigakure to the fleet, towering over the other Shinobi. Aryll was ready for war.

Yazu stood within the ranks, having already been informed of this declaration. This came as no surprise to the boy, the hunger building behind the coldness of The Mizukage's eyes was one he knew all too well, the difference being Xyxer dreamed much larger so this would be a thirst too large to quench. The thought of failure too far gone from Yazu's mind to even contemplate, it could be because the boy truly believed that they were the strongest force in the world, but more likely that he always dreamed of battlefields covered with bodies and blood as the crows flew overhead waiting for their feast. There was no force on earth that could stop him from joining the march.
Hiding in the vast crowd attempting to blend in to the best of his ability, the leader gave a powerful and rallying battle cry on par with some of the greatest ever spoken, and it rang true. Why amass the greatest force on the planet if you would not use it? If Konohagakure No Sato had any intellectuals within their village, who were capable of forward thought instead of rushing head first into losing fights, they would concede to this warlord and live to die another day. Yazu slouched his hands in the pockets of his flak jacket and would shrug as the crowd gave a massive calling in response. Enthusiasm was for the simple minded, he thought only of the kill and the glorious fight he hoped to find in the Land of Fire.
The boy would fall in line just behind the leader and the ANBU allowing others to dictate the pecking order, knowing he would be on the front line. Many of these people he had never met or only heard of in passing, though it seemed Jester was quite upset that Yazu got to go, but he did not. A light chuckle came from Yazu as he passed the masked man recognizing him from his mask and hair. Standing beside the ship as everyone entered Yazu would release the 10 meter thread beast who shaped into a massive bird. When The Silence would launch Yazu would be nearby.

The blonde Uchiha would hear the announcement and have a feeling of shock, but at the same time, a feeling of determination.
'War' The girl would think, An opportunity to prove herself after her failure of...... not being close enough to the Mizukage when he spoke.....
Either way, once the announcement was over, Angel would turn and began to limp away, still recovering from her damaged legs. It was time to go to war.

The world was in a precarious place.
Power was easy to come by, and even easier to wrest from those who held it. In the current time, fools believed they could be leaders. Monsters consumed good men. Power corrupted. Absolution was a false hope, and promises shattered like glass. Altar had seen children try to lay naive claim to thrones too large for their small, fragile bodies. Time passed, things never changed.
The young ANBU stood, clad in his armor, the mask of his friend on his face. His arm had healed nicely by now, and he was fit to see battle. That was, of course, the announcement that Xyxer had gathered everyone to make. They were moving past the storm circle that had protected them for so long, kept them isolated from the outside world, with weapons in hand and bloodthirst in their hearts. From his perch on the rooftop, a few down from the kage, Altar could hear the murmurs and, eventually, the roar of the crowd as Xyxer spoke. The boy could spot familiar faces in the crowd. It was comforting and horrifying knowing their lives would be at risk.
War was a cruel reality of the world they lived in. Power was everything, and the lands outside had grown much too comfortable, like frail children in thrones too big for them. The seats would empty soon, stained with the blood of those inhabiting them. As the speech came to a close, the boy would remain stoic as the kage left, before slinking away himself, making his way across the rooftops to the ships.
The world was in a precarious place. The nations had teetered on the cliff for far too long. It was time for the Bloody Mist to give them a shove.

Naoki was leaning back in his chair, observing a slow discussion between the guy in charge of the village's economy and trade and one tasked with overseeing civilian issues of the country. The talk orbited the topic of low grade ninja weapons flooding the civilian market in the country. Naoki found the whole problem trivial and relatively unimportant, as probably did the two people whose voices could be heard on this topic the most. The Uchiha was going to give them a few more minutes and then just summarize shortly before suggesting they end this session. But before it came to that, suddenly a voice that was heard the least on this gathering made an appearance with an unexpected message. Xyxer, after spending close to an hour in deep thought, suddenly called for village mobilization and preparation for naval assault. The Kage's face was not that of making a joke so Naoki shifted his gaze to view the reactions of others. It appears he caught most everyone there by surprise. With nobody saying anything, Xyxer stood up and the man he addressed - the chief supervisor of Kirigakure's military rose to follow him. This could be just a drill to keep the ninja of the village alert, it could be some big operation against pirates or bandits, or this could be something really major. Naoki figured he'd get the details of it shortly. Putting the papers before him together he would hear the short exchange between Xyxer and Masuru just before they left the chamber. The target was Konoha.
Just as he was leaving the chamber himself, Naoki along with the other members of the council would be informed that Xyxer commanded the village to gather for an announcement at the Grand Academy. Entrusting his papers to some member of the bureaucracy at hand Naoki would excuse himself from the others and forming a single handed seal surround himself with a bubble of chakra before being carried through a different dimension elsewhere. He would appear in view of the academy, a bit further off. He wanted to observe this, the manipulated fabric covering him shifting to conceal both his face and his chakra. The crowd was just starting to gather, although quite fast. It would not take long for the square in front of the great place of knowledge to fill up. It seems Xyxer got everyone very excited. After all, this was war; also the first big move Kirigakure, or even the villages that it previously used to be, would make. As the crowd cheered after the declaration, Naoki couldn't help but feel affected. He wouldn't cheer himself, but his heart was definitely beating faster. And here he thought that lately he had grown detached from the world of strife. Maybe he would have cared less if the target was Kumogakure or the fabled Hoshigakure. However, his people going to war against the nation from which his family was banished, against the people who he silently feared and resented his whole life... Naoki couldn't help but feel he had to see the fate of the Uchiha and the village of the Leaf. But his position of deputy Kage would bind him to stay. As the village mobilized and the ninja began moving out, getting their assignments and stuff, the previous leader would cloak away into the shadows. This was happening unexpectedly fast but there may be something he can do.

Mors was in the center of the crowd, the words brought a sense of excitement to his ears. War was something that was a luxury in this world now a days, he would or could not let such an opportunity pass him by. Though probably one of the lowest on the totem pole, it did not bother him. It was more of mental game for the chaos to ensue, how would anybody feel failing to kill one of the weaker beings of the village. It didn't take much for his legs to start moving for the ship amongst the others, none of which he knew. He would be useful for the village one way or another.
