The Calm (Mors, Fenrir, Jinzu, Jason, Kisuke)
Thu Sep 14, 2017 5:27 pm
- Spoiler:
Mors was ecstatic, to say the least, it had been a while since he was part of an actual fight. It had been a good while since he spilled the blood of an enemy. This was proving more fruitful than he had thought in the beginning. A small prayer to Jashin was uttered lowly, as his legs carried him across the field, at half his speed, closing the distance between him and the actual gates and opposition. His kunai would pierce all the minor people who did not matter but took up arms to try and stop this invasion. Slaughtering them as the sheep they were, none proved to have any real fight, just the fear. He had no clear target in mind, those that would be closer to his level of skill ran from the fight mostly, those poor meat sacks will meet theirs one day. He had hoped for a little more of a challenge, was sure the other two genin were not having much trouble at the moment either. He stayed vigilant for the off chance he might have to actually fight. Much like the storm that followed them, they came to destroy and they would succeed, no matter what transpired.

Things had absolutely not gone how Jason thought they would. First, Risako had knelt to the invader and demanded all of Konoha kneel as well. Not exactly what he was hoping for, but doable. Then, the blonde girl that had taught him how to release genjutsu showed up and simply refused to kneel, calling the rest of the village shinobi cowards for doing so in the first place. That was what really set things off. Most of the others had slowly risen to their feet at that point, no doubt moved by the girl's courage and loyalty, by her exuberance of the Leaf Village's Will of Fire that unquestionably resided within her. It was a beautiful display, he thought. After that, however, everything went to shit. The patient army of Kirigakure had been ordered to advance and several of the more eager ones had take off, breaking formation as they searched to sate their bloodlust and prove themselves to their Kage. In response to that, all of the Shinobi took up arms and prepared to fight. Jason too stood now, not hesitating to enter the fray. It had come down to this after all, come down to being forced to fight in order to defend their home and all of the people still tucked safely away inside it's massive gates.
Not taking a moment's hesitation, Jason took off as soon as the fighting had started. He sprinted to the left of the colliding group, careful not to step in the path of any oncoming attacks, and searched for someone to clash with. He found what he was looking for quickly, a monster of a man slicing his way towards the village with two kunai, one held in a reverse grip. He was about six feet tall and wore bandages around his upper face, which looked to be deformed as it is. His dark hair was in a type of curly mohawk fashion, the tattered scarf wrapped around his neck fluttered behind him as he ran.
Jason approached the demon, spotting him when they were roughly 20 meters or so apart. Reaching up with his left hand, Jason pulled a wooden kunai-shaped branch from his right shoulder and launched it at his new target using only one fluid motion to do so. It left his fingertips with practiced precision, aimed at the boy's head, making sure that nothing was in the flight path of this thrown weapon besides his target. The instant it had been released, Jason reached behind him and pulled two more blades from his body, both also made of wood. The one in his right hand was about 2ft in length, 1in wide and straight edged with a slanted tip, a short sword made completely of wood. The one in his left hand was in the shape of a small, curved dagger no longer than 1ft in length from the hilt to the tip of the blade. Both weapons were held at the ready, angled slightly away from his body as he ran. It was only a matter of maybe seconds before he got within striking distance of his target.

Luckily Kisuke had managed to avoid conflict with Tatsuo, a member of his own village. The foolish kid was about to go directly against the orders of their leader. However it was for not as someone else did exactly that. Now the two sides found themselves entrenched in battle. Having positioned himself where the foreign leader expected the Genin's to kneel, the young Uchiha was near the back of the pack when the Mizu Kage launched his kunai at Senpai Yen. With everyone engaging with their opponents, Kisuke saw in the corner of his eye Jason bolt off to the side and out of the way of those who were far stronger. However he also noticed his friend Kotsuzui do the exact opposite. Kisuke expected nothing less from someone has hot headed as him.
Turning his attention towards Jason, Kisuke would follow the Senju as they both left the congregation of shinobi. "Dont fuck up like before." Kisuke said from behind Jason. The two of them would inevitably run into resistance and Kisuke did not want Jason interrupting or getting in his way again. Now in a territory of their own, Kisuke and Jason would both notice the bandage wrapped man at the same time. A decrepit looking shinobi, hideous too. Jason engaged right away, going in for the kill with wooden weapons that came from his body much like the bones of a Kaguya. At the moment Jason threw his first weapon, Kisuke would come to a halt. As the two of them continued running at each other that would place Kisuke at about 10 meters from them once they met, give or take.
There were other shinobi present in the area, one's Kisuke had to keep an eye out for. He was not going to gank this one person right at the get go and leave both himself and Jason open for others to attack. His eyes would seamlessly transition into the crimson red state of his three tomoe Sharingan. Now picking up every possible movement with extreme clarity, the young Uchiha would watch Jason engage the enemy and keep his eyes open for the inevitable arrival of other enemies. Shit just got real.

It felt like an eternity when she was inside of the pitch black world full of orbiting blocks of metal. She didn’t know where or what Ita Uchiha did to her, but she knew that after whatever happens, she would surely find out. Upon being released and Ita leaving once again. Her own matured Sharingan would instantly activate. Casting its blood red glow over the puddles of water as the immense rain droplets fell from the sky. It was as if a storm had come and over taken the Village Hidden in Leaves, but not just any storm. She had heard of these superstorms before. Winds so powerful that they were able to blow over even houses. Konoha was in the south of the fire country. It got rain, but the village rarely received what the world called hurricanes. Even now she could hear screams, but they weren’t from the powerful storm....No, they were from the bodies pooling on the ground as a man wearing a scarf cut through what seemed to be Konoha’s Forces. Her eyes would dart in each and every direction as her back was facing the gates of Konoha. Being only a mere five meters away from the giant walls. Around twenty meters in front of her. A person who seemed to be around her age, if not, younger. Ran towards the man who were slicing people with Kunai.
The Konoha ninja firing what seemed to be wood from his body as he did his best to protect the gates of the village from the onslaught of ninja. Not moving an inch. Her eyes would see the glint coming from the headbands of the other ninja. The puddles of water on the headbands telling her who exactly the invaders were. The Hidden Mist Village had made its mark on the Fire Country. The screams would seem to amplify as she would realize that this wasn’t just an invasion. This was a war where death was happening around every corner. She wondered where her father was in the midst of the fighting. Surely he was protecting the village with his mighty Katana. Ita had told her to leave and get somewhere safe, but it was her time to make a mark on the world. Her eyes glinting with power as she was ready to illuminate anyone she deemed as the enemy with wonders that would paralyze them on the spot. Her hair stuck with her face as her eyes continued to dart around the battle field. Fire was flowing in the air as she maintained her position. Ready to move and retaliate at a moments notice if someone or something would come to attack her. Her headband was tied tightly around her waist. Serving as a belt of some sort for her weapon pouch full of all of her ninja tools. A Kunai already being in her left hand the moment that she had been released from where Ita had put her. The young kunoichi was ready for war and it was quickly making its way towards her.

Unlike Mors, Fenrir had decided to hold back on attacking, running about 10 meters behind him in order to keep track of his fellow Genin. It appeared this was the right course of action, as before long, he was being attacked by a Senju. In this encounter, the Senju had begun with his Kekkai Genkai, and was being watched over by an Uchiha. Nearby he could tell there was another Uchiha, but that one was unimportant. What Fenrir was focusing on now was the two ahead of Mors, the threats. Those abilities, the ones from their clans, those were what make them an overwhelming threat. If they didn't have those, then it might have been possible for escape, or maybe a sneaky kill, but that wood and those eyes prevented both of these, so for now, they would simply have to focus on survival. Unfortunately, that was also still quite unlikely. So, in order to assure his friends survival, Fenrir would draw two kunai into his hands, throwing one to intercept the wooden one headed towards Mors head. This would hit the other kunai just before it reached Mors, going slightly faster than half it's speed, and travelling half the distance. This would knock the wooden Kunai off course, causing it to hit the ground behind Mors and in front of Fenrir, with Fenrir's Kunai bouncing away to the side. The other kunai would remain in his hand as he sped up, attempting to catch up to Mors and stay next to him. Upon reaching his ally, he would draw another kunai to replace the one he had launched. "Even if you are an immortal, let's try to avoid any damage that would prove it. Fenrir had yet to be truly convinced of Mors "immortality", but he knew that it was possible. For now, he would remain in a defensive position, both kunai at the ready to defend from more wooden projectiles.

The spillage of blood was satiating the hunger within Mors, but sadly it was not filling his drive for a good old bout. The men that were being killed amongst him, felt as if they were nothing more than scared puppies. There surely had to be opposition more fitting for Mors, this was not what he came for. He figured the only ones that would stay and fight, would more than likely be those that outclassed him, one way or another. That mattered naught for Mors, without a doubt he figured none of the poor sods could truly kill him. He’d walk from this war with his life, regardless of the outcome of it, he may lose but he’d walk away fueled. Fueled to come back and destroy the sheep for what they were, livestock for Jashin and slaughter, but it had been too long since Mors felt loss. He needed it again to further himself from the poor excuse of a monster he currently was. Failure was necessary to become the monster could truly be, and though he embraced he had not seen much in the results.
Back to the moment though.
Mors was currently pulling out the kunai from the socket of the eye of some boy, clearly younger than him. Another for Jashin to play with, he had always wondered what Jashin did with souls he received, maybe he would ask him next time they spoke. He did not know yet, for they had not talked in a long while, as these thoughts crossed his mind. Bored with the fighters amongst him, he had caught the glint of awkward movement. His senses that were now peaked, his wild nature had taken more of a hold on him physically and somewhat mentally, though it did not affect his judgement. It was out of place within the current environment, but it was one that brought a glimmer of hope and ceased the boredom. Kunai flew from both sides of Mors as his body was slightly turned away from the gates, though just enough to keep the gates in his peripherals for things that were out of place.
Though the latter’s kunai did not fully deflect the other’s away, it did throw it slightly off course. Enough for Mors to avoid “fatal” damage, it did still cut him though sliding across his right cheek and going through his nose, slicing it in half at the bridge. And sailing off away from the two that stood meters apart. Mors would turn toward the gate, the smile of a possessed man would form, as he counted three bodies running towards him. Two would stop one at the Gates the other slightly further from the one still trying to charge him, pulling what appeared to be wooden weapons from his body. Mors enjoyed what was beginning to unfold, though he heard Fenrir speak, he did not register what was said. He was now focused and walking forward, bracing himself for what was to come next. It was clear to see these ones had him outclassed, but the odds were never in Mors favor to begin with. ”Ah Fenrir! Thanks for the assist, I propose we have fun with this. And don’t worry about me dying is my strong suit, but keep yourself at the ready, this will probably not be easy.” He said, as he moved forward at the ready for whatever came, and with such confidence that it would come off more arrogant than he wanted.

His make-shift kunai had been deflected, slightly, announcing the arrival of a new player on to the scene. A young man from the Kirigakure army had come to back up the strange looking one that Jason had wanted to take out quickly. Now there were two of them and Jason already felt the strain of maintaining his wood style jutsu for too long. Keeping his momentum, but not increasing his pace, Jason had made it within 15 meters of his opponents. Both of the wooden weapons he had formed would be launched from his hands, one each aimed at the two men not far ahead of him. They flew true, each one directed at the men's midsection. Of course his attack didn't stop there. As soon as the make-shift weapons had been thrown, several other wooden spikes would be launched from the Senju's outstretched palms towards the two Kiri shinobi. Four branches shot from Jason's left hand while three shot from his right, each 5 meters in length and 1 meter thick with sharpened points at either end of the branches. They flew at their targets at incredible speed, the four aimed at Jason's original prey, while the remaining three were aimed at the newcomer.
He slid to a stop then, merely 10 meters away from the opposition, his eyes scanning the battlefield surrounding him quickly and taking in everything he could within seconds. Even as he discerned the goings on, he made sure to keep his opponents within his field of vision so he might be able to react to anything they would do. His breathing was quick and shallow, the battle had only just begun and already he was feeling the coming exhaustion from using too many high-ranked jutsu so quickly. A trickle of sweat escaped from underneath his Konoha headband, making its way down the right side of his face. The downfalls of being a fresh Genin not yet battle-tested pulled at his body and mind. He would need to end this quickly, or be forced to retreat until he regained some of his strength.

Standing 10 meters behind his teammate, Kisuke;s crimson eyes swiftly noticed the arrival of a new shinobi who would take place behind the enemy Jason was attacking. Just as expected, more enemies had arrived. Watching every movement he made with extreme clarity, Kisuke was able to track the path of the soon to be launched projectile before the newcomer even released it. Knowing it wasnt coming anywhere near Jason but was aimed at his own projectile, Kisuke bolted forward to close the gap between him and Jason. Noticing that Jason was both faster and more skilled than the two enemies before them Kisuke still could not let the Senju fight alone. There was a little part of Kisuke that wanted to watch Jason fight alone for having previously butchered their attempt at stopping the lone wolf genin, but this was no time to hold petty grudges.
As he swiftly closed the distance between him and Jason, Kisuke kept his deadly gaze locked on the two closely positioned enemies. The young Uchiha would frown for a split second. The raging storm washed out the voices of the enemies but thanks to his Dojutsu Kisuke was able to make out some of the enemies words. "Immortal?" Kisuke though to himself as he now came up 5 meters to Jason's left. "Hey Woody." Grabbing Jason's attention as he began firing wood projectiles at the enemies standing 15 meters in front of them, letting him know that he was now beside the Senju.
Senju and Uchiha, two of the oldest clans in Konoha's lineage fighting along side one another. The thought of that made Kisuke say "What do you say we fuck these guys up?" With that Kisuke would crouch and slightly bend his arm at his sides, getting into a battle ready position. If the enemies had moved further away than 20 meters while avoiding Jason's attacks, as fast as he could Kisuke would swiftly close the distance between them to 15 meters and then dispersed his chakra into the surrounding area, activating his first Genjutsu of many to come. It was now clear to the enemies Jason had an affinity for wood. Every weapon and projectile he created was made out of wood. Using that knowledge to his advantage, Kisuke would activate his false surrounding's technique. To the two enemies, suddenly from the ground bellow roots would begin poking and bursting through the earth. Within seconds the emerging foliage would rise into massive, towering trees, surrounding them in a thick canopy of wood where the two of them could see no further than right in front of them. The trees would block them off from everything, their teammates and their enemies alike and due to the fact that they saw Jason using wood techniques it would seem all the more likely that these real looking, feeling and smelling trees that had formed all around them were in fact real.
With the enemies distracted by his Genjutsu, Kisuke would continue his actions. Clapping his hands together at max speed into the Horse-Tiger seals, he would build up a small amount of chakra within his chest cavity. Inhaling as he did so, Kisuke would exhale seconds later, spitting forth the chakra through his mouth and out as a raging fireball. The spinning orb of flame would hurl through the air, searing through the rain as it approached the Genjutsu locked immortal one. With Mors unable to see the incoming ball of the fire, the plan was to have it smash right into him, incinerating his flesh, muscles and tendons down to the bone. Let's see if immortality could stop that.

Mors was not very impressed by the opposition’s actions, this was going to turn out differently than he had originally expected, if they kept with what they were doing. His arrogance becoming truer each time his foot touched the ground. This was a little too easy and in poor taste. This was not what Mors expected, upon going through thoughts in his head, he’d notice the first was already getting winded. Causing a slight chuckle to be produce from his mouth, “If this is what Konoha had to offer, they should of died off long ago,”. The thought was amongst many others in his head and rang the truest, but his thoughts did not pull focus from the battle commencing before him. Through further examination it was easy to see he was just a kid trying a little too hard or was just negligent in his duties, and it was beginning to show. Meaning it was only a matter of time before he went down or decided to try and go all out. His fatigue seemed to be catching up with him, as he decided to start shooting things at the Jashin and the weird guy in his vicinity. First the two weapons in his hands and then shooting out what seemed to rather huge fencing posts from his palms at the two.
Upon the releasing of the weapons, towards the two, which was in clear view as all the attacks were at this moment. Mors had noticed something wrong with Fenrir as he was stagnant, and there was weapons flying at him, this could not be well. Mors had to quickly act to dodge and also save Fenrir at the same time. There wasn’t much time to think as the weapons were coming at a decent rate, so he just acted stepping to right at max speed, and throwing the two kunai at his max speed, one at the wood guy trying to pike them, the one in his right hand aimed specifically for the sternum of the wood chucker. The left handed one aimed for Fenrir’s knee, which would hit it perfectly throwing him off balance and tripping him up due to the wet ground and no opposition, causing him to fall and hit the ground before any other weapon could touch him. Fenrir seemed to hit the ground hard as he now appeared unconscious, but safe for the least, truly was all that mattered. Mors would steadily dodge the “posts” coming for him, sidestepping to the left and right, as fast as he could, while still moving forward towards his opponents. With each dodge after the second, he would use both his hands, and all his speed and strength to grab shuriken from his poach, one in each hand, and throw them at the two, aiming for their midsection, with the extra third being thrown at the wood chucker.
The second seemed to be calm and collected for now but would have not done much besides follow the other until he stopped taking no action whatsoever. As it seemed he was more anticipating the shinobi to turn tail and run like scared animals. His actions solely dependent on getting so many meters away from the two. He must of not realized that he was not dealing with scared puppies, but wild starving beasts. Whose sole purpose was dismay. From what Mors could tell the two would stop at ten meters away from him, why? He did not know. Either way he kept it moving towards them he was not stopping his movements for either of them. ”We building fences or something, I thought this was supposed to be a fight,” He’d say it loud enough for the two to hear him. Ready and moving for what was still coming. Hopefully they made it more interesting as he grabbed another kunai with his right hand, from the pouch, and wielding it at the ready to cut a motherfucker.
