Mo-Ri's Sleepless nights [Training]
Sun Dec 03, 2017 2:15 am
The night had just reared its head as the male stared out of the broken window of the structure he had made home. For some reason he had just not been sleeping and this was evident due to his "jittery" state. Sleep was a rare commodity for him as thoughts of a person or rather the visage of a person showing in his mind. Not anything he had ever met or seen in his travels, their face covered by an impenetrable black veil that only served to block his sight. Maybe it was a dream of death...or maybe he had simply been having the same dream due to the beans he ate just before bed. However the male pondered on this for some time deciding that he just needed to sit up and assess the situation before doing something about it. He left his staff sitting somewhere near the makeshift bed he had, why would he need it when only a few people knew where he lived and others barely paid him any attention to do anything? Nights were always coldest when he was up, wind blowing through the cracks and openings of the building with enough force to chill someone to the core...but not him.

The night continued onward as he stood up and stretched, his eyes switching from their normal iteration to simple dots, the eyes focusing on not what was there but wasn't. A faith forced but never removed sat within his mind as he continued to fight the feeling of giving it up but...why? The cult of Jashin gave him a cursed gift, but took him from two families. It allowed him to live but never taste death...quite the literal perception of life and yet...here he was contemplating it for whatever reason. The male was quick to sit back down and stare out into the distance often wondering what his existence would bring. In order to understand himself...he needed to dig deeper. Find the meaning of what was supposed to be his reason for being and above all...what was the meaning behind the God that his cult worshiped. Being in a place with an abundance of religions, even some not even belonging to this world he peddled around the idea of finding such a cult, but it was just that...a cult. This place wouldn't allow it he assumed so he dropped that idea and went with something different...the notes he scavenged from the lab.

What is your reason for being? It was a question asked both mentally and physically to himself and tonight was no different. The male sat now in his bedroom or what semblance of a bedroom he could create, staring out into the weird village and heaved a slow sigh. The thoughts of the cult coming slowly into his mind as he rolled his shoulders and leaned back," I could relinquish the way of the cult and just embrace my own mortality or...hmm," that's when it sort of hit him. The doctrines, or at least the ones he had read never mentioned specifically that he had to live his life exactly how the other "people" of the cult did. They held destruction above all else and he...sort of didn't. His enemies and those that crossed him felt his full wrath and deserved no mercy, but innocent people for the most part were not on his kill list. For some reason he felt that destruction came in many forms...not just in the ritualistic tendencies that "his" cult followed. Maybe that's why he felt different than others potentially. He'd sacrifice all of the evil to this Destruction God, and deem those "innocent" a free day or two....dunno yet. I'll see how i feel about it in the morning."
