Grand Tournament: Hikari Hyuuga vs Angel (Uchiha)
Tue Dec 05, 2017 3:32 am
What a peculiar thing the conqueror decided to host for all the village. A tournament, merely a week after the war, between the shinobi of Kirigakure and Konohagakure. The snowy haired Chuunin thought it strange to have such a large event take place so suddenly, and no doubt she was confused at first by his no killing rule, he seemed to be quite fond of the activity. But then it had dawned on her, if he had allowed them to kill their opponent’s, both army’s forces would be greatly weaken. He wouldn’t be in the best shape if his village were to be attacked, although she was sure he could take on a whole village by himself with ease, nor would he be able to do as much damage on another shinobi village with half his tools taken out.
Yet despite her finding it odd for there to be a tournament, here she was, crossing the tiled flooring of the waiting room, her high-heeled ninja boots clacking loudly with each step she took. Her hair was tied into a high ponytail, to keep the long locks out of her eyes, and she adorned a new outfit, a symbol of her rebirth. Her new attire consisted of a purple ombre styled, sleeveless dress that ended just above her mid thigh and puffed out at the ends due to a white tulle petticoat underneath, a matte purple colored sleeve that clasped around her neck like a necklace with a blue sapphire where the ends met on her neck, and a white ribbon wrapped around her torso and tied into a neat bow on the left-front side of her body. Around her wrists were her Amol Selseila, the metal gauntlets she crafted before the war to aid her in both her medical-ninjutsu and taijutsu skills. Her forehead flashed with her Konohagakure headband, signifying the village she was representing for the crowd as she felt that might have been a necessary thing to do, and her Chuunin Flak Jacket covered her upper body. Sure it wasn't a stylish thing to wear, but she would be protected against some attacks with the jacket on, and if it got ruined well, she hoped to be getting a new one soon anyways. Lastly, she had her Konohagakure Army Katana strapped to her left hip, in case she needed to use a sturdy blade to slice through her opponent's feeble skin, and her ninja pouches were strapped to either thigh, with two of her kunai being wrapped in explosive tags.
Hikari could care less about her opponent during this fight, a girl by the name of Angel Uchiha, for her eyes were on the prize. She needed to rank up in order to gain more power, and the more power she got the stronger she would be and the closer she would get to extracting her revenge against Yensung Aburame. She could still see that bastard’s face in her mind every time she walked past the village gates, reliving the memory of Salzem’s cold-hard murder every day. It plagued her while she was awake, yet it would only be a matter of time until the horrific scene crept its way into her dreams, turning her serenity into hell.
The doors slid open as she arrived at them, granting her entrance into the rather large arena. The sun shined its warm rays down upon her as she activated her Byakugan, scanning the other set of doors for her opponent, yet no one was waiting for her nor did they seem to be close. She shrugged her shoulders and crossed the bridge in a steady pace, getting to the outer ring in moments, feeling the heat of the sun despite the cool winter air blowing every couple of seconds. She made quick work of the two outer rings, as they were merely five meters in radius, and soon found herself climbing the last step to the inner ring. She had continued to scan the area for the Uchiha throughout her rising to the inner ring, and had not seen a sign of the girl at all. Maybe the girl had been frightened by the thought of facing the Hyuuga, or maybe she was just running late? Hikari really didn’t care either way, it would be in her interest if the child forfeited anyways, allowing Hikari to quickly reap the rewards of the tournament for ‘winning’.
The Hyuuga placed herself five meters from the inner wall’s edge, and waited patiently for her opponent to arrive. She wondered if Xyxer would make a comment about her being the first to arrive, considering she was a Konohagakure shinobi and his own kunoichi had yet to show herself. Hikari would wait for her eyes to register the body of the opposing shinobi before she acted, for she knew not how this process would work out.
Would they bow or shake hands with one another, or immediately begin fighting once Angel stepped into the inner ring? Or would Xyxer give an opening speech to them and the audience encompassing the arena, riling them up for the fight to begin?
No matter which option the tournament took, Hikari would be prepared and already had jutsu in mind for both offensive and defensive attacks, planning a strategy in her head while she stared at the opposing set of doors, her eyes scanning between all the other sets of door to make sure they did not have Angel walk out of either middle doors instead of the ones directly across from herself.
(Using the +25 chakra boost option from my Amol Selseila for this fight)

Activating her Sharingan, Angel made her way into the arena where she would be fighting. This was not the first time she was entering into an arena like this. Heck, it wasn't even the second time she was entering into an arena to do battle. This was the trilogy of her appearance in an arena such as this. The woman made her way across the water and toward the start point, which was apparently just 5 meters away from the edge of the inner platform of the That would mean that the two were merely 30 meters away from each other. Angel was in her usual goth Outfit, but with her Kirigakure Chunin vest over her.... she really hoped that she wouldn't get in trouble for wearing that right now. Her blonde hair was in a ponytail, in an attempt to stop it from getting into her red eyes.
Looking over at her opponent, Angel saw gorgeous Kunochi, a few years older than Angel, standing there... Hikari... her opponent, gazing at Angel with her veiny ... the same eyes that Aryll had.
With that, Angel would make the sign of confrontation, a form of respect that the Uchiha girl was taught by Aryll when the two fought to the death once before. With that being done Angel would await for Xy to start the battle, or for Hikari to do something to start the two off.

Due to her activated Byakugan, Hikari could see her opponent, Angel Uchiha, exit the doorway into the area. The blonde haired girl would swiftly cross the length of the arena, her long legs traveling wide distances as she moved. It was evident Angel was a far taller shinobi, and would be able to tower over the petitie Konoha nin, although just because she had a height advantage did not mean she had a fighting advantage as well. Her lilac eyes watched intently for a sneak attack as she moved onto the field, her eyes trailing her shoulders for any sudden movements. Hikari had learned a long time ago not to look someone dead in the eye’s, least she wanted to be tricked into their Genjutsu.
Although it seemed trickery was not up the pretty girl’s sleeve, or at least not at that very moment, for instead of an attack right off the bat, she offered the sign of confrontation, surprising Hikari slightly at the respectful gesture she gave. The snowy haired shinobi had never fought anyone after making the universal sign, so today would be a new experience for her to partake in. Although quite frankly all of this tournament was new to the kunoichi, being her first time in an arena and her first proctored village fight. She hoped she would be able to prove herself as more than just a lowly medial-nin who couldn’t save anyone.
Thus Hikari followed suit of the dark clothed woman, also making the confrontation sign, holding it for roughly three seconds, enough for the woman to understand she had returned the sign, before weaving the horse hand seal, at her quickest, maximum speed of course. Her fire chakra instantly swelled in her stomach before she expelled a stream of orange flames from her mouth, the feisty element pooling out in all directions at a speed of 80. The flames would spread out to seventy meters in a cone like shape, reaching a maximum width and height of fifty meters while it spread over its range. As she expelled the fire chakra from her mouth, she formed her hands into the tiger hand sign, already preparing for her next attack, yet not activating it in case Angel did something unexpected. Due to the vastness of this technique, jumping in all of the directions except forwards would potentially result in the Kirigakure kunoichi so feel quite warm in the early winter month, as the flames might lick at her skin and crave to burn her alive, this being due to how the technique expands in both height and width. However, they were not powerful enough to kill her, but were powerful enough to severely burn her if she were to touch the ravenous beast running loose.
The crowd around them would be safe from the vicious flames, being out of reach from the technique as they would be roughly eightyish meters away, thus being ten meters out of the grasp of the skin boiling element.
If the Great Fire Annihilation jutsu was avoided by Angel, Hikari would react accordingly to the new actions being played out.

Because of the fact her Sharingan was activated, the blonde woman was able to see Hikari making the sign of the tiger before she even started, Angel Burr, who would want to make the first move, would clap her hands together and take a deep breath, activating her Wind Rejuvenation Technique to increase he speed. Her new stats were as followed.
Health:11
Chakra:140
Stamina: 30
Speed:154
Strength: 3
She would finish this jutsu at the same time as Hikari activated her jutsu, flames blasting at Angel. To this, the Kiri Genin would have two reactions to. The first, Angel would reach down into her weapons pack and throw a kunai at a max speed into the flames and towards the Hyuga's destination. The flames wouldn't be strong enough to destroy the Kunai and if left uninterrupted, the Kunai would sail through the air and connect with the woman's arm, (Speed 118, sharpness at 89). The second action that Angel would take (Which she would do at the same time) would be to back up to the edge of the platform she was on and hop over the rail (not going more than a foot above it,) And fall to the second floor. The Kunai would leave her hand at the same time as she started to hop. (Angel's speed would be 77 during this). Once Angel would land, she would instantly push herself up against the wall, trying to get to an angle that the flames wouldn't be able to hit her at. With that done, The Uchiha would sense out with her chakra, attempting to keep tabs on where the the Konoha Chunin was.
Of course, if any of Hikari's actions changed, Angel's would do. (Also, any number not stated should be presumed to be at max speed and power, or whatever won't kill Hikari)

Re: Grand Tournament: Hikari Hyuuga vs Angel (Uchiha)
Thu Jan 18, 2018 11:51 pm
It seemed her opponent wasted no time in reacting to her jutsu, although what happened after the young Uchiha clapped her hands together was a mystery to Hikari, as she knew not what technique Angel had used. Whatever the young Kirigakure shinobi did, it didn’t seem to take any visible effects that it worked, as Angel allowed her to cast her Great Fire Annihilation jutsu, the flames shooting forth from her opened mouth. As the flames hungrily sought to burn the girl, she retaliated in a rather simple way: pulling a kunai from her weapons pouch and throwing it at her, perhaps trying to make Hikari stop her fire jutsu in order to dodge it. Although it didn’t quite matter if she made Hikari stop expelling the fire, as at the same moment she released the kunai she also jumped over the railing to dodge the flames. It was a pity, the poor child having wasted a perfectly good kunai to try and injure her, as if a kunai to the arm would disable her completely. Yet of course, Hikari would not take the damage, she would counter it.
The moment Angel pulled out the kunai, since Hikari could clearly see through the flames due to her Byakugan allowing her to see through things up to a mile, she dodged to the left to avoid the kunai flying at her at the maximum speed she could currently move with. Once she was safely out of harm’s way, the kunai having whizzed past her until it lost its momentum and landed somewhere far off behind her, potentially having fallen into the moat surrounding the arena rings. As she dodged the kunai she moved her hands as fast at they physically were able to, canceling the tiger hand sign she had previously begun in favor of another jutsu. Instead, she weaved the dog, horse, and tiger hand seals in sequential order, and ten demonic demon heads spawned five meters away from her. The heads were roughly a foot and a half in radius and could have an explosion range of four feet (or 1.2 meters) in radius.
Hikari willed eight demon lanterns towards where Angel stood pressed against the wall, her pupilless eyes allowing her to see exactly where the young girl was hiding through the material of the arena. The demon lantern’s would swarm the girl from all sides, besides below as they could not pass through things, by floating at a speed of 75 across the flat inner ring until they reached the edge of the railing. Then six of them would move down the railing above the girl in all different directions, meaning they would be directly over her head and coming down to the second level of the arena, while the remaining two from the eight split up before the others crossed the railing and would be coming at Angel from both sides, left and right, by moving down to the second level using the staircases (one took the staircase that had not been used by either of the two kunoichi to walk up and the second took the staircase Angel herself had used to reach the innermost level of the arena). Once the lantern’s were close enough to Angel on the outer ring that she was currently on, Hikari would detonate all eight of them, covering the entire area where they were in explosions. Should Angel get hit by the explosions, her body would be in pretty bad shape due to the power of the demon lantern’s being enough to cause third degree burns, but not enough to fatally wound or kill her.
While the demon lantern’s were moving across the arena, Hikari spawned two more lantern’s five meters away from herself, the fiery heads acting as a barrier between her and whatever Angel decided to throw her way, if she decided to do anything that is. Should Angel move anywhere on the second level, and the demon lantern’s have not exploded yet, then they would continue to chase after her until they were either destroyed by Angel (which would cause them to explode) or Angel got too close to Hikari, as she did not want to be in the blast range of her own technique. If they got too close to where Hikari was standing, they would stop, keeping her out of range from their explosion should Angel decide to try and detonate them while around Hikari (in an attempt to harm the Hyuuga with her own jutsu, which would be a clever idea on an unsuspecting and less tactical shinobi). Hikari remained a few meters from the edge of the railing, as she had had to dodge to the left only enough to completely escape the kunai, and would remain motionless until something happened that required her movement.

The Demon lanterns would hit, Angel would go down and the caller would give the victory to Hikari, Medic's would come to give Angel Burr medical attention.

The eight lantern’s exploded simultaneously as they bombarded the Uchiha, striking from every possible angle to charr her porcelain skin. The snowy haired kunoichi had not anticipated her fire style jutsu to hit its mark, having believed the Sharingan would allow Angel to dodge the flaming heads with ease. She kept the two demon lantern’s near her, in case the young woman tried to deceive the Hyuuga into believing the match had ended and then shooting a surprise attack. Only when the head match caller deemed the fight over did she safely disperse the two lanterns, watching briefly as they evaporated into nothingness. Her lilac tinted gaze wandered as medical-nin’s were brought onto the arena, administering healing chakra to soothe Angel’s burnt skin. She had not anticipated the match to end this way, having never truly fought someone until now. Her inexperience would have been her downfall, she could have sworn to that before the match began, but now it seemed she was not as weak as she believed. All of the spar’s she had with Salzem had paid off after all despite her constant failure to defeat the lycan.
Hikari turned her attention away from the Kirigakure shinobi, a blank expression occupying her visage while she walked down the stairs and made her way through the door she had used to enter the arena. She did not allow herself to outwardly show her excitement at having beaten someone, and possibly earning her a new title if the Mizukage saw fit and held true to his word. Her victory was the first step on her path down the road to vengeance, the next would be to acquire unimaginable power and she knew exactly who to ask for such a thing.
