Training on the snow mountain

After the unidentified girl is nowhere to be seen, Ioritsu decide to train up a bit. With a single hand worth of handseals, the kunai appeared at her hand as she had anticipated having not to be able to use this for anything combat yet given her prowess. Also, to be able to put it into good use, she would probably need some other technique to pair it up with, for that's what her bloodline is good for. An idea came to her mind immediately as the snow made its fall to the ground along with all others around her and further out even though it would not be as good as she would expect.

Taking a moment to focus and gathering her chakra, she would turn into what the snow would do visually. However, should it be done with an enemy around her intentions would be revealed like book. She turned into part of the earth and move into the ground. For a first attempt, it was not as bad as she thought; At least she made it underground and not with half the body looking like she had rolled pass a mud field. She paused for a moment and decides if she should continue training the current technique further.

Ioritsu decides to take a step further which is to move within the ground. Feeling that she could still keep the technique on hold, she moved around her surrounding graciously as though she was part of it. It wasn't difficult to begin with, just that her thoughts will not go out loud within this state given her current ability which has its pros and cons. She continued to move about where she originally started above ground by using nature to keep track of the rough distance. She took note of how burrowing feels like by moving slower than what she expected. As expected of her now, she knew that she could not last very long with her execution given her chakra pool after moving about 20 meters away. She decided that she would continue to redo the technique a few more times to be okay with this technique and to do that she would need to get back up to the ground first.

Bursting forth from the ground for the first time, Ioritsu could feel the strain from just pulling off the technique as though she was trying to get out from water to breathe. Now she would take her time to figure out how get her chakra emission to be smoother.

Sitting down on a stone catching her breathe after exerting some of her strength to shift the icy snow away, Ioritsu took a moment to look at how much time had passed ever since she had been away from the company and even before, the pairs of hands that held her dearly before they were gone; The sky is still snowing as usual and some still finding spaces between her clothing to melt away. While she spend some time thinking through, it reminded her that there was a section of her memory she found herself having a hard time remembering about; Her parents. She could remember only parts of her moments with them as they lived in isolated regions at the corners of kumogakure. She started thinking about why she couldn't remember those portion of her memory but it wasn't so easy as a pile of falling snow disrupted her thoughts and brought her back.

She stood up and turned around, taking her kunai out from her personal space as she stopped using pouches in order not to lose any weapons to her threats. She focused her vision at the less illuminated areas of the forest and found a shape that resembles that of a bear, getting bigger and bigger; She had to find a way to divert its attention.

The figure came closer out, gradually coming into contact with more light and gave her the confirmation that a bear was passing through. She wouldn't want to provoke it just by standing around. She had to look for cover and in this case, a simple plan had to be formulated. Scanning around the area, she found a log that looks to be almost her height; A classic solution came to her mind. Seeing as the bear would probably sensed her before looking at her, she quickly keep her kunai and see how the bear reacts to her presence. It wasn't very surprising that the bear's vision turned to her gradually.

It began to growl loudly at her treating her as though she is a threat. This actually made the problem easier since its a hint to tell her that she could just back off and anything wouldn't happened; She would take this option if she was still in the company. In a sudden burst of speed from the bear after "warnings", she already prepared herself as the nothing blocked the vision of the log to her. All she did was to complete the 5 hand seals while the bear closes the gap as it pounded onto the logs and bites it, doing damage to both the log and the bear and both landed on the ground. Safe from its vision again, she decides to find another place.

Getting away from the bear is one thing, finding another safe place to train is a problem. Since the bear still proved to be a challenge for her, areas where she could think off would be limited since there is no telling that the bear would not come to be a threat again. Moving to a safe cover above the relative ground level on the mountains, she decides to resume her rest as the bear got to her too soon for her to resume moving underground again. Up there, she thought that it would be better to be able draw the attention of the group if she ran into danger. However, those guys are the types that gear up for war and asking them for help for something trivial would prove herself useless; She could have at least do something to subdue small threats on her own. She would need some skills that are meant for such purposes instead of only those that made her a cargo escort and getting stronger doesn't seems to be an option now; Everything was just a thought when she had not fully recovered her chakra yet. Until then, she would stay on a branch of a tree with considerable height to keep herself safe from any predator.

Time revealed that the predator gave up early with her senses ready to signal her movement to move anytime by now. With her mind not ruling the possibility that things might still get tough anytime, she made her way down by walking with her body parallel to the ground to reduce noise emission that may give her out. Just to make sure that she wasn't see; At least form her perspective, She kept her movement on what she considered the blind side of the trunk relatively to where she had decided to make her way up. She continued until her leg could touch the ground by raising it up perpendicular to her body and return. She would not forget this.
