Home Is Where Her Loyalties Lay

Saya shifted the pack that was digging into her delicate shoulders. Far off in the distance were the tumultuous gray fog of Kumogakure. To a majority of people, civilians and ninjas alike, the aura it gave was daunting and eerie. Even if they were well-versed in the shinobi arts they wouldn’t be able to see through or remotely penetrate its dense clouds. To the petite kunoichi, however, the sight was welcoming. She could almost hear her village’s voice scolding her for being away for too long.

In a rare moment, one that no one would see, Saya’s lips turned into a full blown smile. Pearly whites and a shine in her usual violet-blue orbs. Finally, after weeks and weeks of being away from her home the girl could feel the weight of worry and trepidation slough off her person. Her body was tired but Saya took a deep breath and pumped chakra to her feet, propelling her through the last leg of her journey.
