At Last, the Mizukage Is Found! (Xy)

Her inquiries fell on deaf ears as the man in front of her remained silent but for a single nod, his attention being diverted back to his ships and his shinobi who were reloading the vessels with their supplies. She bent her left knee until it gently collided with the soft ground, her head bowed slightly as she knelt to show her respect for the Mizukage, and to keep herself alive after finding out he prefered her kneeling over bowing. “Thank you, Lord Mizukage. I shall take my leave now if you do not request anything more of me.” Her voice was dull and lacked any form of emotion as she spoke, and after about ten seconds of dead silence from Xyxer towards herself, she rose to her feet once more and turned on her heels. 

She held her garments in her arms as she made her way towards the vessel she was to depart on, appropriately named The Silence. Hikari felt it was quite the befitting name for the largest ship of Kirigakure, especially after the Mizukage went mute during their conversation. The shinobi of Kirigakure, she had come to realize, spoke rarely, and if they spoke at all, their words were sharp and curt. They did not indulge in small talk unless they were the ones doing the prodding, and they barely spoke of themselves or their village whenever they inquired her opinion of things. Perhaps that was due to them knowing their way of life, the rules that their village clutched, and wanted to learn of other cultures the villages besides their own had to offer. If they had an ulterior motive besides the only one she could come up with, Hikari would not have been able to figure it out.

It did not take her small legs long to reach her destination, and once there, she boarded the ship, taking in the beautiful scenery it had to offer. Being higher off the ground than she had ever been before, she was able to see the the ocean, and the mysterious world it hid behind the horizon, up close.
