Genin Party!?!?
Thu Apr 05, 2018 3:26 am
Someone in Kanoha is hosting a bbq genin party to celebrate the upcoming Chuunin exams, now more then ever the people of Konoha needed to fight for their way of life and someone had decided to take it upon themselves to encourage the new generation towards the way of Konoha... towards the will of fire.... whichever of the many of hundreds of versions and alterations of said 'Will Of Fire' this person believed in.
Thankfully, so far, there wasnt anyone here trying to preach or teach any specific versions of said ideology. The hosts idea for this event was to foster the environment rather then to use words. In fact the only mention of this fabled 'Will of Fire' was on the invite card spread randomly throughout the village, posted on fliers, or presented in pamphlets by random assistance and supporters... it was in a small emblem emblazoned as "The Will of Fire Barbecue!" which could mean quite a lot of things but then again this IS konoha so it likely meant one thing. It seemed the community was really getting into it too as it was spread around word of mouth, some people who had seen of or knew of other genin had even gone to the genin's home or waited outside the academy to inform new graduates. It was nearly impossible to not know about this event, even none genin would hear about it and no one would stop them from arriving, anyone could attend... just the genin would be getting explicit and direct invites.
Shinoskay himself would eventually arrive at this event, his attire was formal Shinobi for the most part though so he almost looked like he was ready to go on a mission rather then to join a barbecue. He couldnt help but wonder who else would be attending, how everyone else would act, free food for genin was quite the appealing draw but then the invite had mentioned it was a pre event for the chuunin exam so he couldnt help but feel there could have been some trick test involved in the whole ordeal. Or, what if someone would try to take out the competition at this event... his mind buzzed and mulled, as usual, with thoughts as he stood awkwardly off to the side of the event while almost absentmindedly gazing across the scenes before him.

Surprised that she received an invite to some barbecue, Suzume thought she might as well go. Afterall, the Will of Fire was a pretty big deal in Konoha. If she were to miss it, such an act might even be an offense. Or at least, that's what Suzume concluded...Who would wanna miss out on a barbecue, anyhow? Even though gatherings like this wasn't her thing, she went along with it. Seeing all the posts on just about every corner proved just how big of a deal this party really was.
On her way, she too grew the suspicion that perhaps this could be a sick joke on newly promoted genin. Before actually getting there, Suzume would turn around back home and gather some easy to carry weapons just in case. She pictured some pretty horrific events taking place at this thing. What if some evil group hoping to demolish the village many called home decided to take over, capturing and torturing the newbies for dedicating themselves to Konoha, forcing them to become their slaves? Well, if that were to happen it would now be Suzume's responsibility to be there to defend, or possibly sacrifice herself in place of another comrade. Slinging a bag across her shoulder, she'd stuff it with supplies such as gauze and a few bags of medical herbs. With being prepared for whatever threat that could come her way, she headed back to the gathering.
Suzume wore her new headband around her neck, kind of like a collar. She tied it in such a fashion that if it were to be pulled, it wouldn't tighten. Not knowing what to expect when she arrived, she spotted Shinoskay almost right away off to the side. She tried saying hi to him as he gazed off, and sooner than later Suzume waved a hand in front of his face, giggling at how absent minded he was.

Atarashi was shocked when he got an invite. His immediate thoughts were: it's got to be a trap. After thoroughly checking to make sure that the invite wasn't booby trapped he looks at the invite itself.
"A will of fire barbecue? Is this a joke? Why a barbecue of all things? Why not something useful?"
Either way, Atarashi had been invited and didn't want to disappoint whomever sent the invitation. He decides to head to the party. However he keeps all of his gear like he believes a good ninja should, just in case someone tries to attack at any point. Atarashi's personal paranoia may not have a form but it was much more powerful than most and was deeply rooted in his psyche. His eyes are constantly scanning the environment for anything that could be a trap or an enemy. His other senses are all searching for any sign of danger. Even when he gets to the barbecue he keeps looking around. Though it doesn't quite look like it. His stature is very reserved and he walks slowly, not quite sure what to do. He looks terrified. As soon as he sees food he huddles over there and starts adding stuff to his plate. he comes off of the table with a mountain of food. He retreats to a secluded table to eat.

A tiny piece of paper danced like a butterfly in between Allegro’s fingers as the wind blew on it. He was walking down the streets of konoha in a slow, casual pace with one hand in his pocket. The music playing through his headphones seemed to give each leg the energy it needed to move forward. The boy looked down toward the piece of paper that he was reading. Had he misread the message? An invitation….for him? This was quite an improvement for him. Originally, upon his arrival to the Leaf village from his nomadic lifestyle in the deserted Earth Country, the villagers did not seem to care for Allegro at all. He had felt like an outcast for some time, that is, until he finally obtained his rank as a genin. Since then, Allegro have made friends, and even established a brotherhood between the other members of Team 7. And now, he was invited to his very first social gathering. How exciting. The dark skinned genin reviewed the words written on the invitation silently in his head. ‘Will Of Fire…..BARBECUE?’ Allegro took extra care when sounding out the last word. His mouth began to salivate as he imagined the delicacies reach their prime cooking temperature, decorated with charred grill marks. His pace would subconsciously get faster and faster as he walked as his day dream progressed. The sweet and tangy barbecue sauce that would deliver a divine finish brought him utter joy.
The only thing that would wake Allegro from this trance was the sound of social chatter not too far away. He must be close to where the venue was for the barbecue. It looks like this was quite the event, which made Allegro wonder who was in charge of organizing it. Surely whoever found the time to put this shindig together also had to have pitched in a lot of Ryo to mane it happen. Prime grilling meat aint cheap, you know. Allegro knew first hand, as he had made good friends with the butcher during his ninja training. He hunted while Boar, exotic Birds and Poultry, to hone his shinobi weaponry skills, but since he did not eat meat himself, he donated his kills to the butcher. What a win win situation. Anyway, as he drew closer to the event he thought about the only thing that the party was missing, which was apparent to him before he even arrived. Music.
Allegro had childhood ambitions of becoming the greatest musician to ever live. Not just in his village, but throughout all the nations in NRPG. To do that, he would need practice as a performing artist. As good as he was, the Uzumaki suffered from mild stage fright. Perhaps it was due to the fact that he did not speak much anyway. However, eventually, he would have to overcome those anxieties in order to truly achieve his dreams. This barbecue apparently drew a large crowd as it developed a buzz for being the Official Chuunin Exams Pre Party. There were rumors that even the Hokage would be in attendance. Allegro could not waste such an opportunity. He would have to grow a pair and take the stage. Captivating the audience with his music thereafter would come easy. the boy had been doing it for years. There was not a single instrument he could not play, or note he could not hit with his angelic voice.
Before he knew it, he was already at the venue. A few people had already gathered, sharing toasts and enjoying the grilled barbecue treats. The crowd still had room to grow; Allegro could only spot about 2 or 3 ninja headbands in the crowd. Allegro wanted to approach and say hello, but his raging stomach dragged him in the opposite direction. He crept to the front of the line that wrapped around a large grilling bonfire that resembled the Will of Fire statue that honored the fallen shinobi in the Leaf village. It was a beautiful sight to behold. Finally the gluttonous Uzumaki sat down at a bench with mounds of food. His favorite dishes were the grilled shrimp, grilled scallops, and the grilled mushrooms. He tore it up with two pairs of chopsticks that locked onto a new prey with blinding speed (100) each time they successfully dropped off a morsel to the bottomless pit that was Allegro’s mouth. Those that would approach Allegro to speak to him would have to do so with caution. Getting to close to his food might incur the wrath of a beast that lay dormant within the boy. It would seem like every dreadlock on his head would rise to stand on its own like serpents, poised to strike whoever was closest.
If no one approached, however, he would continue eating until his belly was swollen to the size of a large gourd. All the while, he observed the social scene around him, and looked specifically for a stage of some kind. His time to shine would come at any moment.

(anyone arriving after this point, please do not feel like it is too late to jump in... just jump in)
Those genin who arrived would be greeted by someone, anyone, from the crowd saying something to the regards of "COMRADE! Welcome, eat! Congratulations and good luck" Of course, each greeting would vary in some ways as it was different people saying it in there own way however the context of comradery and festivity was almost always there.
As food was collected from wherever it was available or presented at, it was almost just as quickly replenished to insure there was never a lack of it.
The community who had gathered would also make priority for any genin and so there was no wait... any genin walking up for food would be given room to reach said food, the same courtesy may be extended to higher ranked shinobi but only if they insisted and there would likely be an awkward glance and laugh two.
While surveying the crowd, lost in thought, something would appear in front of Shinoskays face. It was something a little dainty, very clean, had 5, 7? maybe... wait... its moving and that made it hard for the boy to gauge exactly what it was he was looking at. It's rapid back and forth movements and his unfocused eyes caused a slight blur that blended the digits together. There was, however, one slightly thicker point that led off to somewhere, and so his thought dulled brain directed his eyes to follow that and slowly his eyes traveled along Suzume's arm.
First down to her elbow, then back up to her shoulder.
And then there was a smiling face looking at him "blagh!" he kind of jumped a little as he saw her face so mischievously close to his in her efforts to get his attention. As his wits began to recover and he started to realize what was going on he would shift from a shocked expression to an apologetic one as he scratched the back of his head and made a very slight bow "oh, heh, sorry about that... umm... I was just lost in thought." He would finish his reply with an awkward laugh.
The boy couldnt help but take note of her fair complexion and that the way her headband on her kneck was some how aesthetically pleasing. She was a little taller then he was, then again he was always one of those short doll like boy types so most everyone tend to be taller then him, something he was more then use to.

Now laughing at him, Suzume sarcastically stated, "What a surprise". Having no real idea to why she was there, she looked around to see if there were other people around she was familiar with. Typically events like this was something she would avoid, preferring small groups of people she knew well, but how else could she get to know anyone else in the village other than her brothers if she didn't get out? It took her some time, but she spotted Allegro eating ferociously like some starved piranha. Perhaps she would have went up to him and said what's up, but the manner that he ate sent her vibes that she should let him feed for now. She remembered hanging out with him once in the academy, but that was some time ago.
Her attention was divided from the other genin to the table of food, seeing a table full of dessert foods. On that stand Suzume found her favorite - churros - and then she would excused her self saying "I'm sorry but there's churros over there, gonna eat a bunch of them," taking off towards it. If anyone got in her way, they would promptly be pushed aside.

Higuto walked along the streets of the village, taking notice of the flyers which broadcast the event in question, as he made his way to the location where the event would be taking place. He wasn't absolutely fond of barbecue but a free meal was a free meal and it was a chance to meet other fellow Genin he'd never had the chance to meet before. He had no doubts that there would be those he recognized, possibly, there as well thus once he arrived he wasn't shocked to see Allegro there looking as though he was about to eat the entire stock of food. He also recognized Atarashi, the Senju who he had trained with some time ago, as he gave both a quick nod and a wave if they happened to notice him. However everyone else that was there, regrettably, Higuto did not recognize as he walked over to a table in order to get himself some food before it ran out. His hood was down, headband strapped around the left sleeve of his jacket, as he loaded a plate with meats and veggies.
Upon finishing loading his plate up with food he would thus walk over to a nearby empty table and have a seat before noticing he forgot to get something to drink. He would thus wave his hand behind him as a small cluster of insects would fly out and go towards the beverage table. They would thus fill a cup with tea before flying back over to Higuto as he would take the cup in his hand and sip while the insects flew back into his jacket sleeve. He would then go back to eating before having a look around the area to see how everyone else was spending their evening there.

Having eaten his fill of grilled delicacies, from fruits and vegetables to perfectly seasoned seafood, the Uzumaki laid outstretched on top of a picnic bench with a stomach the size of a giant balloon. He was picking pieces of leftover food out of his teeth with a small toothpick made from wood and flicking them away casually. As people walked past the table he was on, they would marvel at the size of his stomach, or at the sound of his belching, which could be compared to his Sound Wave jutsu. The Uzumaki could most definitely get used to this lifestyle. He remembered the days when he was considered a social outcast in the Leaf Village. However, since he became a genin, people looked up to him with more respect, and even saw that they liked Allegro.
Now that he was full, Allegro's business at the party was pretty much done. He waddled off the table and off into the sunset, looking for a nice beverage to wash it all down.
