There are many travelers along the borders, especially merchants moving there wares from country to country. Your job is to ambush and steal the merchants wares or their earnings if they have already sold all of their product. Do not get seen stealing or the contract will fail. - 500ryo
Once upon a time, there was a douche bag with white hair. Her name was Leona Tau, and she was always drunk. Today was an unfortunate day, however- she needed to pay her tab at the local bar, and she was dangerously low on funds. Whoops. As she contemplated her options on her favorite bar stool, she decided that she might as well just rob someone to get the money. Five hundred ryo wasn't that much- besides, it would cover her whole tab and leave her some money to spare. And thus began the illustrious e-rank mission 'starting off wrong'.
The sunlit canopy of the forest she was in filtered beautifully onto the underbrush. Fallen leaves made a comfortable bed on the soft, dry ground, which made it infinitely easier to walk quietly. She yawned and stretched, muscles tensing and relaxing as she thought about how to best proceed in her mission. She was tracking a small band of merchants to the country borders, a place which operated under no one system of law and order, making it difficult to track down and punish crimes. This made it the perfect opportunity for her to make some quick and easy coin off of them. From what she could tell, the merchants were using two horses and a horse-drawn cart on the main road to reach their destination. She was simply taking a shortcut through these woods- it wouldn't do to be noticed before the final assault, after all. A few birds chirped overhead as she passed, but she wasn't too worried. The merchants were not from around here, and as a result, they likely would not know what those chirps meant. She put her left hand as a visor over her crimson eyes to block bits and pieces of particularly intense sunlight that had filtered through.
Hm... While she was alone, she might as well practice a bit. She had been attempting to learn the transformation technique recently, but either due to misplaced hand signs or using the incorrect amount of chakra, it had failed. Perhaps she could figure out the right combination this time, as she walked? She tried using as little chakra as possible the first attempt, which fizzled out non-spectacularly. The next attempt, she increased the chakra slightly and the justu nearly exploded. She rubbed her singed eyebrows and tried to think of a way to get the right amount, which was somewhere inbetween... She was so caught up in her thoughts, in fact, that she didn't notice the giant hulking bear she almost stepped on. "Eeep!"
The bear opened its eyes and stared up at her with a bored expression, as if saying 'hey, why'd you wake me up?' Its face was a whitish color compared to the rest of its fur, which she thought was interesting. Slowly but surely, the bear sat up. Sitting down, he was nearly as tall as her... Scary.
"I don't suppose you're one of those ninja types, huh?" he grumbled, before wiping his left eye with his paw. She blinked. She kind of did ninja stuff, but she wouldn't say she was a ninja. Leona shrugged in response. "What a drag... I suppose you want the summoning contract?" What?! Summoning contract?
"Uh, no, just passing through." she said after a moment. The bear nodded sagely(?) before lying back down.
"Pity. Oh well, when you inevitably change your mind, you know where to find me..." A loud, rumbling snore echoed throughout the area. She blinked. Well... Whatever worked? Eventually, she was on the forest trail again. Looking up, the girl noticed that the sun was starting to go down... Well, that would make the act of being unseen much, much easier. Around two hours and a few false leads later, the caravan was completely in view. They had parked for the evening. which would make the whole thing a lot easier. She used her threads to climb a tree around thirty feet away and stayed firmly hidden in the canopy. Then, she had a brilliant idea. She used the transformation jutsu to turn her skin and clothing to the same color as the tree. Next, she started to observe the numerous people dotting the area. There were a few younger men and women, but there was one old man at the center of all the action. She was willing to bet he was the leader- and also bet that he had all of the caravan's money. She adjusted her stance slightly to get a better look at him. He was holding a little bag in his hands- that was good. Perhaps it was their earnings? If it was their earnings, the bag looked heavy enough to have a couple hundred ryo. That would be enough to keep her alive and then some. She wanted it. She needed it. And much like a spider in the web, she was willing to wait for her prize.
Her legs were sore a few hours later of standing in the tree. Her transformation had worn off, but due to the diminishing daylight, there was really no need to hide too much. Ninja had trouble seeing in the dark, and much more so civilians. She waited for him to wander off alone into the forest to do his business, and while everyone was turned around...
Her threads shot out, decapitated him, and grabbed the money. Leona Tau was sprinting off into the evening with the hard-earned cash of the merchants, and they would have no idea until she was long gone. That night, upon her arrival back at the familiar bar, drink in hand, she thought back to the headless man. The way his eyes widened in fear momentarily as a mysterious black object sliced through his neck... He'd never see his children, grandchildren, or friends ever again. Was what she was doing really the right thing? Looking down to her now fat walled, she scratched the side of her ear and downed the glass entirely. Some things were better not thought about.

Ok, also, small thing for the future.
As an MN, all your missions should be on the borders where they can be invaded by either other MN or village ninja's. That being said, I think we can just let that slide for this first mission.
Approved unless annother mod would like to say otherwise.
