A link in the chain - Weapon obtainment (p)

Having just soothed his soul with the relaxing experience of reading his new book and having a fragrant hot tea the young man wandered the merchant district with no sense of direction, lost in a completely blank space his feet moved of their own accord. Moving through the crowd, a familiar voice cried his name.

Looking around the group of people yogi wanted to identify the person calling his name, Giving him a tap on the shoulder, yogi turned around to see Master Moji from the local dojo. "I thought it was you" he says greeting him, "Oh Master Moji, its good to see you" yogi replies with a respectful bow, the master now walking with the young man he would go on "Im glad i ran into you, i have a favour to ask."

"How can i help you master?," "im glad you asked, i have a student who i've been needing to find a opponent to push him. You came to mind, would you be interested?" taking a few moments to formulate a response "Umm yeah why not", "So it would be the same rules, but a ten point system. Also, we would be allowing weapons."Peaking his interest in the challenge he was now more invested in the idea, replying to the masters retort "I don't use a weapon, but that should be fine." The master puzzled and offering words of wisdom "Yogimiru, mastery of a weapon can be like the addition of a limb."  Absorbing the advice from a man dedicated to the art of taijutsu he would accept this fact as truth "Master, what weapon should i use then?"

Giving a humble chuckle Moji would merely respond "Come with me, well find something",  escorting the young man through the district the pair would find themselves in front of the local weapons store. The building, a rustic rigid slatted structure, the store front window, a thick black iron, the interior seen from the window show cased various swords. Entering the store, the walls where littered with a slue of equipment, sitting to the left of the entry was a long counter being manned by a large statured store clerk.

"Good morning Boris" Moji says to the store clerk, "Good morning Master" the clerk would reply before the two exchange small talk. Bring his attention back to yogimiru he would guide the young man through the store "Does anything here speak to you? He states. Yogi looking around the room gazes at the variety of weapons.
""Hmm not really, theirs alot of bladed weapons. Im not really in to swords", "Hmm" the master would mumble leading him away from the swords. Coming in contact with the blunt weapons the appeal slowly raised, It was there, glimmering and sparkling calling to the young man sat a four foot chain bearing two small weights.

Picking it up off the wall he could feel the cool metal in his palms, giving it one foot of slack he rotated his wrist in a continuous fashion causing a whirling effect on the chain. Feeling a sense of child like joy he felt this was the weapon he should own. Master Moji giving him a smile as if to confirm his thoughts he replied with a nod ""This is it", "I can see that," the master replied.

""How much is it though,?" yogimiru said looking down at the price tag. His eye expand in shock upon reading the 1500 ryo cost," "Oh wow," he said in reaction. Moji interjects he asks "Don't worry about it, it's my treat", yogis pride being injured he would respectfully decline ""Im sorry master, i can't do that. Everything I have I work for", Nodding along to the young mans words before replying "That's very honorable, But I have asked you a favour and this is my payment."

Not wanting to push the fact and potentially insulting the dojo master yogimiru would accept the gift. Taking the chain to the counter moji would proceed to hand them over to the store clerk, "Good choice young fella, master your moneys no good here. This one's on the house," the towering man would say pushing the chain back into the masters hands. "Thank you Borris,will i be seeing your son this weekend?", "Bright and early," he replies with a smile. Giving a wave as they exited the building both yogi and moji would both say ""Thank you Boris." Heading in to the crowded streets the pair would exchange words once more before parting ways, Informing yogi of the date set for the duel he would be fighting mojis student in two weeks, planned for noon.

Wanting to return home to practice with his new chain the young man would make his way from the bustling streets of the merchant district back towards the hyuuga compound, holding the chain in his hand rattling and fondling the chain much like a child playing with a new toy.
